And knowing man's propensity towards a self-focused, 15 00:01:22,000 --> 00:01:30,000 self-prioritized, self-aggrandized attitude, God gave us plenty of exhortation in His word 16 00:01:30,000 --> 00:01:35,000 to counter those tendencies, to counter those parts of our fallen sinful nature 17 00:01:35,000 --> 00:01:40,000 that would want to put the focus on us. If you study through scripture you'll find the phrase 18 00:01:40,000 --> 00:01:52,000 give thanks 96 times from Genesis to Revelation. Serve the Lord with gladness.
