We have 00:07:36.220 --> 00:07:39.000 explained this time and time again to us. It 00:07:39.000 --> 00:07:42.439 serves as a Bible school. It is not a place of 00:07:42.439 --> 00:07:49.660 entertainment. It is not a place of other things, 00:07:49.660 --> 00:07:52.959 but it is a Bible school. is a place where disciples 00:07:52.959 --> 00:07:56.220 are made. So he says to them, to go and make 00:07:56.220 --> 00:07:59.860 disciples. In verse 20, he says, teaching them 00:07:59.860 --> 00:08:01.939 to observe all the things that have commanded 00:08:01.939 --> 00:08:05.180 you and law and with you always, even to the 00:08:05.180 --> 00:08:08.459 end of the age. Now the Pharisees who were lovers 00:14:51.370 --> 00:14:55.289 of money also had all these things and they derated 00:14:55.289 --> 00:14:59.990 him. Praise the Lord. They laughed at him. Praise 00:14:59.990 --> 00:15:02.940 the Lord. After hearing his teaching, they laughed 00:15:02.940 --> 00:15:05.679 at him. Why? He says, they were what? They were 00:15:05.679 --> 00:15:09.019 lovers of money. Praise the Lord! He tells them of their covetous 00:15:43.539 --> 00:15:54.559 attitude. He says what? Take what is yours and 00:15:54.559 --> 00:15:57.379 go your way. I wish to give the last man the 00:15:57.379 --> 00:16:01.139 same as you. Matthew chapter 16 verse 12. The Jordan River is also the entry 00:53:56.630 --> 00:54:01.929 point for the children of Israel into Canaan. 00:54:02.949 --> 00:54:06.230 So again, Canaan will also see that it is an 00:54:06.230 --> 00:54:11.030 illustration, right? Jordan too, will see also 00:54:11.030 --> 00:54:15.269 that it is an illustration. So Canaan is an illustration, 00:54:15.909 --> 00:54:18.909 as we have seen the land we said is God. God 00:54:18.909 --> 00:54:23.949 who is what? It is an entry point of crossing. 00:55:04.469 --> 00:55:10.250 So why is Jordan important? John goes to the 00:55:10.250 --> 00:55:14.909 same place to do his baptism. The geography is 00:55:14.909 --> 00:55:17.610 important as we have talked about and we have 00:55:17.610 --> 00:55:21.360 seen. He goes to the same place and he dips the 00:55:21.360 --> 00:55:24.639 same people into it and he brings them up. That 00:55:24.639 --> 00:55:27.380 is the act of baptism, to put them down into 00:55:27.380 --> 00:55:34.539 the water and to bring them up. What does Jordan 00:55:34.539 --> 00:55:55.389 represent? Behold, the ark of the covenant of 00:55:55.389 --> 00:56:00.090 the Lord of all the earth is crossing over before 00:56:00.090 --> 00:56:05.510 you into the Jordan. Right? It's crossing into 00:56:05.510 --> 00:56:12.809 the Jordan. It's crossing before them. Verse 00:56:12.809 --> 00:56:22.139 5. And Joshua said to the people, sanctify yourself, 00:56:22.280 --> 00:56:25.679 for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you. 00:56:25.860 --> 00:56:31.900 Verse 7.
