Many people 00:03:48.719 --> 00:03:52.590 think that the intent is that the church should 00:03:52.590 --> 00:03:57.930 show the devil and demons his power. To show 00:03:57.930 --> 00:04:01.689 the power of God to these demons. They need to 00:04:01.689 --> 00:04:06.849 know that God is powerful. And why do most people 00:04:06.849 --> 00:04:10.129 read it like that? Or let me say many. It's not 00:04:10.129 --> 00:04:16.310 actually most. Or some people. But we do not wrestle 00:04:50.750 --> 00:04:55.050 against flesh and blood, but again, principalities, 00:04:55.529 --> 00:05:00.490 against powers, against rulers of darkness of 00:05:00.490 --> 00:05:05.430 this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness 00:05:05.430 --> 00:05:08.769 in the heavenly places, or heavenly. E -X -O -U -S -I 00:10:35.710 --> 00:10:43.379 -A. It means powers. So ake and exusia, or principalities 00:10:43.379 --> 00:10:47.659 and powers. They are actually a general term 00:10:47.659 --> 00:10:51.500 for spirit beings. In fact, in some places, they 00:10:51.500 --> 00:10:55.620 are used as human authorities. We 00:11:45.539 --> 00:11:48.559 read in Colossians 1 .16, talks about principality 00:11:48.559 --> 00:11:52.019 and power. Now that means if you read verse 15 00:11:52.019 --> 00:11:56.139 for example, these principalities and power here 00:11:56.139 --> 00:11:58.580 wouldn't mean the principalities and power in 00:11:58.580 --> 00:12:00.980 Ephesians 1 .16. The context will tell us whether 00:14:47.049 --> 00:14:51.649 it's talking about evil spirits or whether the 00:14:51.649 --> 00:14:56.009 angels of God or human authorities.
