And this believing 00:09:23.429 --> 00:09:28.600 does not reflect believing in the death, burial 00:09:28.600 --> 00:09:32.259 and resurrection of Jesus. Do we get it? But 00:09:32.259 --> 00:09:34.919 they believe that this Messiah is the one that 00:09:34.919 --> 00:09:38.940 God has promised to come. So we see that. Now 00:09:38.940 --> 00:09:42.740 this affects their actions in many ways and we 00:09:42.740 --> 00:09:45.340 can see other people who had the same form of 00:09:45.340 --> 00:09:48.559 belief. So if we read from verse 46, it says, 00:10:47.559 --> 00:10:50.320 So Jesus came again into Canaan of Galilee where 00:10:50.320 --> 00:10:53.500 He made the water wine. And there was a certain 00:10:53.500 --> 00:10:57.919 noble man whose son was sick at Capernaum. And 00:10:57.919 --> 00:11:00.019 when he heard that Jesus was coming out of Judea 00:11:00.019 --> 00:11:03.360 into Galilee, he went unto him and besought him 00:11:03.360 --> 00:11:05.879 that it would come. It would come down and heal 00:11:05.879 --> 00:11:09.899 his son, for he was at the point of death. He 00:11:09.899 --> 00:11:11.600 was at the point of death. So it means that people believe 00:11:19.600 --> 00:11:23.500 Jesus also. for the miraculous, right? People 00:11:23.500 --> 00:11:26.500 worked in believing Jesus as someone who can 00:11:26.500 --> 00:11:30.259 do the miraculous and that by the signs and wonders 00:11:30.259 --> 00:11:33.000 they will believe that he is the Messiah. Right? 00:11:33.100 --> 00:11:35.279 So people already doubted this. Now let's go 00:11:35.279 --> 00:11:41.659 to John chapter 5. John chapter 5 verse 38 to 00:11:41.659 --> 00:12:11.779 37. Let's go again. Just the next page. So when Jesus is teaching 00:13:15.659 --> 00:13:20.620 people in certain contexts where they don't believe 00:13:20.620 --> 00:13:23.179 he's the Messiah, he tries to connect first. 00:13:23.720 --> 00:13:26.500 So what do they know? You believe Moses, he testifies 00:13:26.500 --> 00:13:29.159 of me. You believe the scriptures, he testifies 00:13:29.159 --> 00:13:31.320 of me. What does Moses and the scripture say? 00:13:31.659 --> 00:13:35.559 The scripture and Moses refer to the Messiah 00:13:35.559 --> 00:13:39.389 that would come. Right? Then when Jesus fathers 00:13:39.389 --> 00:13:42.309 with them, then he explains further about the 00:13:42.309 --> 00:13:44.830 resurrection and life. So he does not remove 00:13:44.830 --> 00:13:47.409 the incarnation from his explanation to them 00:13:47.409 --> 00:13:50.429 as well. He also acknowledges that because he 00:13:50.429 --> 00:13:52.690 acknowledges the Saint Moses and the scriptures 00:13:52.690 --> 00:13:55.690 wrote of me. Now the problem is that the people 00:13:55.690 --> 00:13:59.850 stay here in this explanation alone. That becomes 00:13:59.850 --> 00:14:02.889 the problem which the disciples also experience 00:14:02.889 --> 00:14:06.330 a similar thing until Luke chapter 24. So when 00:16:45.039 --> 00:16:47.620 we go for evangelism and we meet people who say, 00:16:47.639 --> 00:16:50.340 well, I believe He's a prophet. I believe He's 00:16:50.340 --> 00:16:53.899 incarnate. I believe He existed. The question 00:16:53.899 --> 00:16:57.399 is, can they work in greater works? The answer 00:16:57.399 --> 00:17:01.799 is no, right? The answer is no. The Incarnate 00:17:01.799 --> 00:17:03.980 is the Incarnation explaining only the Incarnation 00:17:03.980 --> 00:17:08.359 does not bring a man into greater works. And 00:17:08.359 --> 00:17:10.559 that is why you will see how they function when 00:17:10.559 --> 00:17:13.720 they only held on to that message, right?
