And when you use the word 00:02:33.889 --> 00:02:37.509 sign to an audience, it means that they could 00:02:37.509 --> 00:02:40.250 try to understand what you mean, right? Jesus 00:02:40.250 --> 00:02:43.710 himself is talking to a Jewish audience, right? 00:02:43.810 --> 00:02:45.129 He's talking to the disciples, right? And he 00:02:45.129 --> 00:02:47.449 said, these signs will follow them that believe. 00:02:47.949 --> 00:02:50.129 So it therefore means that they will understand 00:02:50.129 --> 00:02:54.969 the meaning of signs. For signs here, is the 00:02:54.969 --> 00:03:01.430 word Simeon. Signs in this Greek translation 00:03:01.430 --> 00:03:07.490 is actually Simeon, which is S -E -M -E. Signs 00:03:07.490 --> 00:03:17.750 is S -E -M -E -I -O -N in Greek. S -E -M -E -I 00:03:17.750 --> 00:03:23.439 -O -N. It means... That's the indication of a 00:03:23.439 --> 00:03:27.460 message. The indication of a message that they 00:03:27.460 --> 00:03:32.699 hold on to. So then that belief, right? The indication 00:03:32.699 --> 00:03:37.819 of the message they hold on to are the signs. 00:03:38.479 --> 00:03:43.379 So the signs points to the message again. It means 00:10:17.980 --> 00:10:20.700 that these two Hebrew boys that were striving 00:10:20.700 --> 00:10:25.039 did not see Moses as a leader. Right? Did not 00:10:25.039 --> 00:10:27.419 see Moses as a leader. Now, after he had run 00:10:27.419 --> 00:10:32.080 away and he was back, the same rhetoric continued. 00:10:33.039 --> 00:10:37.860 They began to question, how do we know God had 00:10:37.860 --> 00:10:40.899 sent you, right? How do we know that what God 00:10:40.899 --> 00:10:43.820 had sent you? So if you read, now you can go 00:10:43.820 --> 00:10:46.139 to chapter four. We can go back to chapter four 00:10:46.139 --> 00:10:56.220 now. Verse one. And Moses answered and said, 00:10:56.480 --> 00:11:16.600 but behold, they will not what? And Moses fled 00:11:16.600 --> 00:11:22.840 from it, right? So the sign started. From the 00:11:22.840 --> 00:11:25.299 moment Moses said, these people will not believe 00:11:25.299 --> 00:11:27.460 that you have sent me. So what did they believe? 00:11:28.110 --> 00:11:31.750 that God had sent Moses. Otherwise, 00:11:53.809 --> 00:11:57.190 we knew that this generation, only two people. 00:11:58.799 --> 00:12:01.139 were left among them because they all perished. 00:12:01.919 --> 00:12:03.720 And the reason why they perished, the scriptures 00:12:03.720 --> 00:12:06.340 need us to know, is because of what? Unbelief. 00:12:06.519 --> 00:12:09.340 They did not believe the message that Moses was 00:12:09.340 --> 00:12:11.980 conveying to them. So they took, they accepted 00:12:11.980 --> 00:12:16.019 the leadership of Moses, right? The leadership 00:12:16.019 --> 00:12:20.019 of Moses. So when you see consistently, you will 00:12:20.019 --> 00:12:23.159 see them asking him a question and questioning 00:12:23.159 --> 00:12:25.320 his authority. But we see that through the signs, 00:12:25.419 --> 00:12:31.100 Moses was accepted. as the leader of the Jews 00:12:31.100 --> 00:12:35.440 to lead them out of Egypt. Now, let's see Numbers 00:12:35.440 --> 00:12:42.980 14 verse 11. Let's see Numbers 14 verse 11. And 00:12:42.980 --> 00:12:45.100 we'll check some of them. So Numbers 00:13:22.970 --> 00:13:24.549 4 just shows us again that they have not believed 00:13:24.549 --> 00:13:28.279 the message, but rather, Rather, they believe 00:13:28.279 --> 00:13:33.600 the leadership of Moses. However, we still see 00:13:33.600 --> 00:13:37.200 it as a sign and a pointer to the message. So 00:13:37.200 --> 00:13:39.659 Numbers 21, verse 6 to 9. So this one, we see 00:13:39.659 --> 00:13:43.100 it as a pointer to the leadership of Moses. Numbers 00:13:43.100 --> 00:13:46.960 21, verse 6 to 9. And the Lord sent a fairy serpent 00:13:46.960 --> 00:13:50.580 among the people, and they bit the people, and 00:13:50.580 --> 00:13:53.659 many of the people of Israel died. Therefore, 00:13:54.279 --> 00:13:57.179 The people came to Moses and said, we have sinned. 00:13:57.179 --> 00:13:59.259 This is their mindset. We have sinned. For we 00:13:59.259 --> 00:14:01.519 have spoken against the Lord and against you. 00:14:01.840 --> 00:14:04.720 Pray to the Lord that he take away the serpent 00:14:04.720 --> 00:14:07.820 from us. So Moses prayed for the people. And 00:14:07.820 --> 00:14:10.220 the Lord said to Moses, make a fairy serpent 00:14:10.220 --> 00:14:13.480 and set it on a pole. So Moses made a bronze serpent and put 00:14:20.559 --> 00:14:23.899 it on a pole and so it was. So the 00:14:43.740 --> 00:14:46.860 spiritual reality of healing, of divine healing. 00:14:47.320 --> 00:14:51.860 is communicated in John 3, 13 to 15. There's 00:14:51.860 --> 00:14:57.860 a reason why I'm saying this. The spiritual reality 00:14:57.860 --> 00:15:01.820 of divine healing that we see in Numbers was 00:15:01.820 --> 00:15:12.059 communicated in John 3, verse 13. And we realize 00:15:12.059 --> 00:15:15.419 that the word lifted, lifted up. Let's go to 00:15:15.419 --> 00:15:18.009 John. Thank you. No one has ascended to heaven, 00:15:18.110 --> 00:15:22.529 but he who came down from heaven, that is the 00:15:22.529 --> 00:15:26.549 son of man who is in heaven. And as Moses lifted 00:15:26.549 --> 00:15:29.090 up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must 00:15:29.090 --> 00:15:33.570 the son of man be lifted up, that whosoever believes 00:15:33.570 --> 00:15:37.769 in him should not perish, but must have eternal 00:15:37.769 --> 00:15:42.610 life. So the communication of divine healing 00:15:42.610 --> 00:15:47.169 is eternal life. There's a reason why we are 00:15:47.169 --> 00:15:49.409 going there. Because it's going to answer some 00:15:49.409 --> 00:15:53.590 of the questions that popped up on Sunday when 00:15:53.590 --> 00:15:55.669 some people came to ask questions and some thoughts. 00:15:57.009 --> 00:16:01.450 The communication of divine healing is eternal 00:16:01.450 --> 00:16:06.649 life. And we see that that was from the word 00:16:06.649 --> 00:16:09.250 lifted up, which means the resurrection of Jesus. 00:16:09.389 --> 00:16:12.110 So the Son of Man being lifted up means Christ's 00:16:12.110 --> 00:16:14.960 resurrection. At Christ's resurrection, eternal 00:16:14.960 --> 00:16:18.240 life will be made available. At Christ's resurrection, 00:16:18.600 --> 00:16:22.000 eternal life will be made available. So, it will 00:16:22.000 --> 00:16:25.220 mean that when God was healing them, He was communicating 00:16:25.220 --> 00:16:28.600 eternal life to them. As He was healing them, 00:16:28.720 --> 00:16:33.799 He was communicating eternal life to them. Now, 00:16:33.879 --> 00:16:39.139 one question I would like to ask. All these people, 00:16:39.259 --> 00:16:44.019 in their abundance, That were healed in Egypt. 00:16:45.279 --> 00:16:51.039 And even people that believed. Right? And were 00:16:51.039 --> 00:16:59.399 healed. Did they later die in physical body? 00:17:00.600 --> 00:17:06.220 Did they later die in physical body? Good. Now 00:17:06.220 --> 00:17:11.509 this is taking us somewhere. Because. If they 00:17:11.509 --> 00:17:16.170 truly die, right, in body, it therefore means 00:17:16.170 --> 00:17:20.549 that beyond the sign is eternal life that is 00:17:20.549 --> 00:17:24.970 communicated. Do we get it? So what we are holding 00:17:24.970 --> 00:17:28.910 on to much more is the eternal life. As we administer 00:17:28.910 --> 00:17:33.849 healing, as we heal the sick, right, we are holding 00:17:33.849 --> 00:17:36.549 on to eternal life. So if this person has believed, 00:17:36.710 --> 00:17:39.710 right, this person believed the gospel, The person 00:17:39.710 --> 00:17:45.990 is able to be healed and continue the walk of 00:17:45.990 --> 00:17:48.230 the gospel. God cannot test you with sickness. 00:38:23.469 --> 00:38:27.070 He is not interested in how you would react when 00:38:27.070 --> 00:38:33.469 you seek. God is not interested in that.
