There are many people that have believed 00:04:39.060 --> 00:04:43.100 something for us. And later in our life, we received 00:04:43.100 --> 00:04:46.980 them. Right? So you can believe someone can stand 00:04:46.980 --> 00:04:49.139 in the place of prayer for you and they can believe 00:04:49.139 --> 00:04:51.100 that you receive healing, you receive different 00:04:51.100 --> 00:04:54.199 things, you receive what you are expecting from 00:04:54.199 --> 00:04:57.339 God. So at those times, your own faith might 00:04:57.339 --> 00:04:59.579 be failing, right? Your faith, there are circumstances 00:04:59.579 --> 00:05:02.579 that might make you not to be able to exercise 00:05:02.579 --> 00:05:06.439 faith. But someone can receive by believing on 00:05:06.439 --> 00:05:08.019 your behalf that this thing will happen, right? 00:05:08.379 --> 00:05:11.259 And we see that now today, we want to focus on 00:05:11.259 --> 00:05:14.100 one of those things that can be received. And 00:05:14.100 --> 00:05:18.920 one of those things is healing. Healing is one 00:05:18.920 --> 00:05:21.459 of those things that can be received and is a 00:05:21.459 --> 00:05:27.519 gift. So it can be administered. Healing can 00:05:27.519 --> 00:05:37.300 be administered. Healing can be received. Healing 00:05:37.300 --> 00:05:41.350 can be received. Now, while I was preparing this 00:05:41.350 --> 00:05:43.610 study, right, I had to actually, first of all, 00:05:43.629 --> 00:05:46.610 go through several understanding of healing, 00:05:46.750 --> 00:05:52.269 right? The goal today is to fill us with overwhelming 00:05:52.269 --> 00:05:56.350 evidence that healing is something that takes 00:05:56.350 --> 00:06:00.310 place among the believers. They can receive it 00:06:00.310 --> 00:06:05.170 and they can minister it. So the goal today is 00:06:05.170 --> 00:06:07.290 to show us from the scripture or the goal of 00:06:07.290 --> 00:06:09.230 this teaching is to show us from the scripture 00:06:09.230 --> 00:06:12.879 that, Healing is something that takes place among 00:06:12.879 --> 00:06:16.079 the believers. They can minister it and they 00:06:16.079 --> 00:06:20.120 can receive it. So like we've taught that because 00:06:20.120 --> 00:06:23.519 we all have the spirit of God, all that is found 00:06:23.519 --> 00:06:27.560 in the spirit of God can be exercised by the 00:06:27.560 --> 00:06:31.459 believer. All that is found in the spirit of 00:06:31.459 --> 00:06:37.079 God can be exercised by the believer. And the 00:06:37.079 --> 00:06:40.689 gift of healing is one of those things. And here 00:06:40.689 --> 00:06:43.329 we see it's under the gifts, right? Under the 00:06:43.329 --> 00:06:46.589 spiritual gifts. Now, one of the things that 00:06:46.589 --> 00:06:49.709 we see is that some people said healing, there's 00:06:49.709 --> 00:06:52.850 no more healing. In fact, while they counter 00:06:52.850 --> 00:06:55.610 many gifts of the spirits, right? Many things 00:06:55.610 --> 00:06:57.629 of the spirit, for example, speaking in tongues, 00:06:57.689 --> 00:07:00.089 prophesying, word of wisdom, word of knowledge, 00:07:00.329 --> 00:07:03.730 right? Healing is one of the ones that got the 00:07:03.730 --> 00:07:06.939 hits the most, right? Healing God. Why did they 00:07:06.939 --> 00:07:09.459 say healing God hits the most? The reason is 00:07:09.459 --> 00:07:13.600 because when they pray for people, they have 00:07:13.600 --> 00:07:17.500 another mindset that this person might not be 00:07:17.500 --> 00:07:21.160 healed and God might want this person to die. 00:07:22.800 --> 00:07:26.699 So by that, right, the administration of healing 00:07:26.699 --> 00:07:30.680 to people is weakened. So they're not able to 00:07:30.680 --> 00:07:32.399 administer healing. So they'll say, oh, if it 00:07:32.399 --> 00:07:35.500 is God's will, let this person die. God's will? 00:07:36.320 --> 00:07:40.420 Regarding healing in the Bible, it's clear. Are 00:07:40.420 --> 00:07:42.819 we together? The Old Testament text. If God desire 00:08:10.600 --> 00:08:12.360 people to be healed. Were people healed in the 00:08:12.360 --> 00:08:15.040 Old Testament? Right? Because one of the arguments 00:08:15.040 --> 00:08:18.620 is also that this healing stopped when John the 00:08:18.620 --> 00:08:22.100 Baptist died. So they argue that, you know, all 00:08:22.100 --> 00:08:23.620 those things we call the things of the Spirit, 00:08:23.959 --> 00:08:27.180 all the things we call prophecy, these things 00:08:27.180 --> 00:08:31.339 ended the moment the last apostle, which was 00:08:31.339 --> 00:08:33.980 John, The moment the last apostle died, it all 00:08:33.980 --> 00:08:39.779 ended. The problem with that is because they've 00:08:39.779 --> 00:08:42.960 not been able to check that even before the disciples, 00:08:43.059 --> 00:08:47.899 was God healing people? He was, right? So we'll 00:08:47.899 --> 00:08:50.139 see it from the scriptures. So if God was healing 00:08:50.139 --> 00:08:53.600 people before the disciples, when the disciples 00:08:53.600 --> 00:08:57.220 healed before resurrection, and they healed after 00:08:57.220 --> 00:09:01.700 resurrection, then today, healing should still 00:09:01.700 --> 00:09:05.320 be taking place, right? So it means that they've 00:09:05.320 --> 00:09:07.240 not paid attention to those scriptures. Does the Bible acknowledge 00:10:26.889 --> 00:10:29.850 that there are doctors, people visit doctors? 00:10:30.049 --> 00:10:32.590 Does the Bible acknowledge that? Does the Bible 00:10:32.590 --> 00:10:35.210 acknowledge that there are substances that you 00:10:35.210 --> 00:10:38.830 can use to get healed? Does the Bible acknowledge 00:10:38.830 --> 00:10:41.049 that? That is what we are saying in this first 00:10:41.049 --> 00:10:43.929 section. The physicians healing. Now he said, 00:10:44.049 --> 00:10:48.370 but King Joram had returned to Jezreel to recover 00:10:48.370 --> 00:10:51.519 from the wounds. which the Assyrians, the Syrians 00:10:51.519 --> 00:10:54.759 had inflicted on him when he fought with Hazel, 00:10:54.899 --> 00:10:58.620 king of Syria. And Jehu said, if you so mind, 00:10:58.840 --> 00:11:03.419 right, let no one, right, leave or escape from 00:11:03.419 --> 00:11:13.159 the city to go to Jezreel. The next one. Okay, if you read the entire context, 00:11:35.549 --> 00:11:38.690 he was actually visiting a physician when a war 00:11:38.690 --> 00:11:41.789 had taken place and he needed to recover from 00:11:41.789 --> 00:11:45.200 the wounds. So this is not divine healing, right? 00:11:45.299 --> 00:11:48.240 This one is talking about someone paying a visit, 00:11:48.360 --> 00:11:52.460 right? For a physical treatment. Okay. So it's 00:11:52.460 --> 00:11:54.559 someone that was paying a visit to a physician 00:11:54.559 --> 00:11:56.940 for physical treatment. Let's go to 2 Chronicles 00:11:56.940 --> 00:12:17.539 16, 12. 2 Chronicles 15. 16, 12, please. And 00:12:17.539 --> 00:12:21.000 in the 39th year of the rain, Asa became diseased 00:12:21.000 --> 00:12:24.600 in the streets and his malady was severe. Yet 00:12:24.600 --> 00:12:27.879 in this disease, he did not seek the Lord, but 00:12:27.879 --> 00:12:31.580 he sought who? He sought physicians. So physicians 00:12:31.580 --> 00:12:35.279 were there, right? Physicians were there. Just this one we'll take 00:13:26.399 --> 00:13:29.220 from the New Testament. 1 Timothy, right? Let's 00:13:29.220 --> 00:13:39.879 just read 1 Timothy. 1 Timothy 5, 23. And it 00:13:39.879 --> 00:13:42.220 said, drink no longer water, but use a little 00:13:42.220 --> 00:13:46.940 wine for your stomach's sake. and thy often infirmities, 00:13:47.159 --> 00:13:50.220 right? There are very 00:14:20.269 --> 00:14:22.990 few records of physical healing in the sense 00:14:22.990 --> 00:14:25.509 that they had to visit the physician and the 00:14:25.509 --> 00:14:28.889 Bible described what was given and how that what 00:14:28.889 --> 00:14:32.090 was given produced healing. There are very few 00:14:32.090 --> 00:14:35.610 instances. And I tell you, the reason why this 00:14:35.610 --> 00:14:39.769 is like that is because the Bible is communicating 00:14:39.769 --> 00:14:45.350 a spiritual reality. Are we together? So the 00:14:45.350 --> 00:14:48.990 reason why the emphasis of the scriptures is 00:14:48.990 --> 00:14:52.870 not on using physical substance, the emphasis, 00:14:53.049 --> 00:14:55.909 I said, because there's an acknowledgement that 00:14:55.909 --> 00:15:00.370 the emphasis is low is because the Bible is communicating 00:15:00.370 --> 00:15:04.490 a spiritual reality that it wants we, the believers, 00:15:04.690 --> 00:15:09.090 to walk in. So the emphasis on using physical 00:15:09.090 --> 00:15:13.409 substance is quite... It's like you having a 00:15:13.409 --> 00:15:17.470 book dedicated to matters of the spirit and you 00:15:17.470 --> 00:15:20.590 pay too much emphasis on the things of the natural, 00:15:20.750 --> 00:15:23.929 right? So it becomes what is the main subject 00:15:23.929 --> 00:15:26.250 of the Bible, right? You can question what's 00:15:26.250 --> 00:15:28.850 the main subject if it's talking about all of 00:15:28.850 --> 00:15:32.409 this. But there is overwhelming evidence of divine 00:15:32.409 --> 00:15:35.750 healing in the Bible. Overwhelming evidence of 00:15:35.750 --> 00:15:38.110 divine healing. Now we are done with the natural, 00:15:38.149 --> 00:15:41.820 the physician's healing. If you also notice, 00:15:41.899 --> 00:15:48.179 when Jesus was dying, they also used the word. 00:15:48.700 --> 00:15:51.799 That the physician should do what? Should heal 00:15:51.799 --> 00:15:55.279 himself. They used this word on Christ. They 00:15:55.279 --> 00:15:59.440 said, physician, heal yourself. So, they were 00:15:59.440 --> 00:16:03.940 assuming and saying that Christ is like their 00:16:03.940 --> 00:16:06.919 medical doctor. Because they have seen him heal 00:16:06.919 --> 00:16:09.220 many people. They've seen Christ heal many people. 00:16:09.419 --> 00:16:11.840 They've seen him done a lot of miracles, but 00:16:11.840 --> 00:16:13.700 yet they had no understanding. So by the time 00:16:13.700 --> 00:16:15.759 they approached him to even walk him, they walk 00:16:15.759 --> 00:16:17.559 him as if he was a medical doctor. They say, 00:16:17.639 --> 00:16:19.980 oh, physicians, heal yourself. They use the statement. 00:16:20.240 --> 00:16:23.779 So it means that in that society and that environment, 00:16:24.179 --> 00:16:28.019 the Bible acknowledges how the physicians plays 00:16:28.019 --> 00:16:30.299 a role. They used the word healed for 00:18:05.680 --> 00:18:14.160 water. Exodus 15 verse 22 to 27. Exodus 15 verse 00:18:14.160 --> 00:18:20.039 22 to 27. And Moses brought Israel from the Red 00:18:20.039 --> 00:18:22.240 Sea, and they went out into the wilderness of 00:18:22.240 --> 00:18:24.640 Sheol. And they went three days in the wilderness 00:18:24.640 --> 00:18:28.680 and found no water. It is 00:52:16.719 --> 00:52:18.420 something that should be found where the children 00:52:18.420 --> 00:52:20.639 are. It means that the children need to be always 00:52:20.639 --> 00:52:23.699 whole. The children need to be sound. Those that 00:52:23.699 --> 00:52:26.440 are called for the work of ministry need to be 00:52:26.440 --> 00:52:29.199 healthy so they can do the job. So healing was 00:52:29.199 --> 00:52:32.530 used to communicate food in that context. But 00:52:32.530 --> 00:52:38.010 for someone that is outside, it is a sign. Right? 00:52:38.030 --> 00:52:41.789 It is a sign because they do not understand the 00:52:41.789 --> 00:52:46.989 power of God. So what is the power of God? Romans. 00:52:49.269 --> 00:52:51.630 Salvation. The gospel on salvation. Salvation. 00:52:52.250 --> 00:52:56.489 That is the power of God. So when we heal people 00:52:56.489 --> 00:52:59.590 outside, it is that they might see the power 00:52:59.590 --> 00:53:02.050 of God. What is the power of God? Let's go to Luke 9, verse 1. Then he called his 12 disciples 00:53:38.389 --> 00:53:41.389 and gave them power and authority over all demons 00:53:41.389 --> 00:53:45.710 and to what? To cure diseases. So this is, they 00:53:45.710 --> 00:53:49.929 are not medical doctors. They are actually men 00:53:49.929 --> 00:53:53.630 who just started following Jesus and he gave 00:53:53.630 --> 00:53:57.210 them authority. He gave them power, right? He 00:53:57.210 --> 00:54:00.130 gives authority to exercise power. That is what 00:54:00.130 --> 00:54:01.610 that means, right? You give them authority to 00:54:01.610 --> 00:54:05.190 exercise power over these diseases and they heal. 00:54:05.250 --> 00:54:09.030 So this is divine healing. Hallelujah. So divine 00:54:09.030 --> 00:54:11.789 healing is what we see. And the question I want 00:54:11.789 --> 00:54:14.110 to ask is, the people that they went to heal, 00:54:14.250 --> 00:54:20.230 were they believers? They were healing all manner 00:54:20.230 --> 00:54:24.929 of people. All manner of people that some of 00:54:24.929 --> 00:54:27.090 them did not still believe the message. But they 00:54:27.090 --> 00:54:28.469 were communicating the message, they were receiving 00:54:28.469 --> 00:54:32.820 the healing. Hallelujah. So as believers, this 00:54:32.820 --> 00:54:35.519 is where we stop today. As believers, we can 00:54:35.519 --> 00:54:38.099 administer healing because we have the spirit 00:54:38.099 --> 00:54:41.280 of Christ in us. These folks, they didn't have 00:54:41.280 --> 00:54:43.340 the spirit of Christ. Christ gave them something 00:54:43.340 --> 00:54:48.739 to go about it. And that is what made the healing 00:54:48.739 --> 00:54:53.500 to take place. What about you that now have Christ 00:54:53.500 --> 00:54:59.670 himself in you? If Abraham, that looked forward 00:54:59.670 --> 00:55:04.309 to the church. If Isaiah, that the spirit comes 00:55:04.309 --> 00:55:06.710 upon and lives, he said, the spirit of a sovereign 00:55:06.710 --> 00:55:12.789 Lord God is upon me. Isaiah 61. If Ezekiah and 00:55:12.789 --> 00:55:15.389 all those people who never had the Holy Spirit 00:55:15.389 --> 00:55:17.710 residing permanently in them, if they can walk 00:55:17.710 --> 00:55:22.010 in healing, what about you in high? That we now 00:55:22.010 --> 00:55:26.010 have the spirit of God residing in us. It means 00:55:26.010 --> 00:55:28.019 that we can walk in healing, right? Can we be 00:55:28.019 --> 00:55:31.380 on our feet? Can we be on our feet and just pray? 00:55:32.079 --> 00:55:34.699 Now what we want to do now is to pray yourself 00:55:34.699 --> 00:55:37.820 into, after this teaching, pray yourself into 00:55:37.820 --> 00:55:41.960 believing it. Pray yourself to take away every 00:55:41.960 --> 00:55:44.059 obstacle of your mind that makes you believe 00:55:44.059 --> 00:55:47.280 that there is no healing. Because healing takes 00:55:47.280 --> 00:55:51.219 place and it can take place through you. Can 00:55:51.219 --> 00:55:54.260 we be on our feet? All we just want to do is 00:55:54.260 --> 00:55:56.639 to just pray in the Holy Ghost.
