He says, I also 00:08:28.319 --> 00:08:32.620 say to you that, Peter, on this rock, I will 00:08:32.620 --> 00:08:35.879 build my church and the gates of hell. On this 00:08:35.879 --> 00:08:38.940 rock, I will build. On this rock, I will build. 00:08:39.100 --> 00:08:41.919 And we see how in that singular communication, 00:08:42.179 --> 00:08:46.100 it ties into elements that we see Jesus Christ 00:08:46.100 --> 00:08:49.500 explaining to his disciples, explaining to his 00:08:49.500 --> 00:08:52.450 disciples, explaining to his disciples. Those two words are 00:09:03.970 --> 00:09:07.129 the same. And then when he talks about a place, 00:09:07.250 --> 00:09:10.789 he said you will stand on the rock. That rock 00:09:10.789 --> 00:09:13.750 there is patra. That rock there is patra. And 00:09:13.750 --> 00:09:16.389 the same rock used. And we know that it's not 00:09:16.389 --> 00:09:19.210 just... I think all the teachings that we're 00:09:19.210 --> 00:09:23.090 teaching in the church, yes, even when you see 00:09:23.090 --> 00:09:26.470 something physical, and the emphasis when you're 00:09:26.470 --> 00:09:29.610 speaking can be physical, but it's pointing beyond, 00:09:29.750 --> 00:09:32.169 there's a spiritual, there's an implication that 00:09:32.169 --> 00:09:36.450 goes beyond the physical, because the word of 00:09:36.450 --> 00:09:38.470 God that we have is spiritual, the communications 00:09:38.470 --> 00:09:42.029 that we have in our hands is spiritual. And then 00:09:42.029 --> 00:09:47.110 he goes and he says, in the Exodus 33, verses 00:09:47.110 --> 00:09:51.029 22 he says while my glory passes he says my glory 00:09:51.029 --> 00:09:54.309 passes and and the beautiful thing about what 00:09:54.309 --> 00:09:59.210 what we now see in the in john is is that is 00:09:59.210 --> 00:10:02.470 that we is that john speaking there because if 00:10:02.470 --> 00:10:04.750 he has because he said no one can see my face 00:10:04.750 --> 00:10:09.370 if if if moses was privy to see you know when 00:10:09.370 --> 00:10:14.250 we come to john 1 he cannot say and no one has 00:10:14.250 --> 00:10:17.399 seen It would not be that no one has sinned. 00:10:17.399 --> 00:10:19.419 It would be that Moses would have been the one 00:10:19.419 --> 00:10:22.919 that would have sinned. The gospel in Deuteronomy, where 00:13:33.179 --> 00:13:36.700 we saw from Deuteronomy 18. Let's just go there. 00:13:36.980 --> 00:13:40.899 What we saw from Deuteronomy 18. Let's go to 00:13:40.899 --> 00:13:46.340 Deuteronomy 18. Deuteronomy 18, verse 15 and 00:13:46.340 --> 00:13:49.039 18. I'll just read it very quickly. It says, 00:13:49.159 --> 00:13:54.379 the Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet 00:13:54.379 --> 00:13:58.539 like me from your midst. A prophet like me from 00:13:58.539 --> 00:14:02.679 your midst, from your brethren, him you shall 00:14:02.679 --> 00:14:06.340 hear. He quotes the 15, the verse 00:16:24.100 --> 00:16:26.100 15 of this particular passage in Deuteronomy 00:16:26.100 --> 00:16:30.139 18, verse 15. He quotes it in Acts 7, verse 35. 00:16:30.480 --> 00:16:35.029 He says, this is that Moses who said, to the 00:16:35.029 --> 00:16:38.210 children of israel the lord your god will raise 00:16:38.210 --> 00:16:42.730 up for you a prophet like me like me from your 00:16:42.730 --> 00:16:46.669 brethren him you shall hear that is acts 7 verse 00:16:46.669 --> 00:16:51.110 37 this is stephen speaking stephen speaking 00:16:51.110 --> 00:16:54.190 and stephen made this communication during the 00:16:54.190 --> 00:16:56.850 time where he was preaching after after what 00:16:56.850 --> 00:17:01.470 he was stoned to death and this is him quoting 00:17:02.240 --> 00:17:05.259 So you see that in all of God's word, you see 00:17:05.259 --> 00:17:10.579 a whole, they don't speak, they speak, anchoring 00:17:10.579 --> 00:17:13.619 their communications from the scripture.
