And so the Apostle Paul commands them that 00:09:33.950 --> 00:09:39.470 they're not too intimately associated with a 00:09:39.470 --> 00:09:43.850 new universe. They said, because you're 00:13:05.509 --> 00:13:10.289 with these people, you too are drunkard. That 00:13:10.289 --> 00:13:13.509 was wrong. Jesus wanted to be with them, to love 00:13:13.509 --> 00:13:17.009 them, and to seek to bring the truth of God to 00:13:17.009 --> 00:13:21.049 them. You see, contact with the immoral in this 00:13:21.049 --> 00:13:27.870 world of the gospel, complicity with their lives, 00:13:29.049 --> 00:13:33.230 compromise with their living standards is forbidden, 00:13:34.389 --> 00:13:37.289 conformity to how they live is forbidden in the 00:13:37.289 --> 00:13:41.970 gospel, not contact with them. The poem in verse 00:13:41.970 --> 00:13:44.889 11 makes it clear he's talking about separation 00:13:44.889 --> 00:13:50.240 in relation to brothers in the ongoing...
