Amen and I want to 00:05:53.329 --> 00:05:55.610 say this up front and you know, it's important 00:05:55.610 --> 00:05:58.170 for us to realize this right Proverbs 29 and 00:05:58.170 --> 00:06:01.949 18 says right where there is no vision the people 00:06:01.949 --> 00:06:05.209 perish right and it's letting us know that there 00:06:05.209 --> 00:06:08.810 is divine revelation that there is Insight we 00:06:08.810 --> 00:06:11.870 talked about last week wisdom from God for people 00:06:11.870 --> 00:06:17.959 to actually live that it's not just simple desire 00:06:17.959 --> 00:06:20.680 that we have, but it's important that there's 00:06:20.680 --> 00:06:24.459 vision present for life to come back. I'm speaking of at this 00:08:11.879 --> 00:08:18.480 moment God Has Ezekiel in a visionary dream right 00:08:18.480 --> 00:08:22.920 that this is a visionary dream that um God took 00:08:22.920 --> 00:08:28.399 Ezekiel in this moment and he had him view Through 00:08:28.399 --> 00:08:30.699 a vision through a dream. I'm just want to make 00:08:30.699 --> 00:08:33.559 sure this wasn't something he physically saw 00:08:33.559 --> 00:08:36.480 This is a moment that was in the dream and in 00:08:36.480 --> 00:08:39.419 this dream He took him to a valley and this valley 00:08:39.419 --> 00:08:42.960 was filled with bones, but not just bones very 00:08:42.960 --> 00:08:45.940 dry bones. The reason for it's important for 00:08:45.940 --> 00:08:48.159 us to realize that this was a visionary dream 00:08:48.159 --> 00:08:51.320 because every layer of what he's seeing actually 00:08:51.320 --> 00:08:54.539 has death to what was happening at that time. 00:08:54.919 --> 00:08:58.340 So at this moment, the reason why he's in a valley, 00:08:58.500 --> 00:09:00.940 right, a valley season, not a mountaintop season, 00:09:01.279 --> 00:09:04.860 because the people of Israel at that moment were 00:09:04.860 --> 00:09:07.820 not succeeding. They were in a valley. They were 00:09:07.820 --> 00:09:10.940 in between two places, right, of victory. You 00:09:10.940 --> 00:09:13.500 know, mountaintops represent victory when we 00:09:13.500 --> 00:09:17.639 read them in the Bible. Valleys represent. fight, 00:09:17.779 --> 00:09:21.379 struggle, where we walk through the valley of 00:09:21.379 --> 00:09:24.340 the shadow of death. I shall what? Fear no evil. 00:09:24.440 --> 00:09:25.940 So when it's speaking of valleys, they're in 00:09:25.940 --> 00:09:28.559 between two things. It's not a good place, but 00:09:28.559 --> 00:09:30.960 it's a place that God is still with them. And 00:09:30.960 --> 00:09:32.879 that's important for us to realize as believers 00:09:32.879 --> 00:09:35.519 that even though you're in a valley, God is with 00:09:35.519 --> 00:09:39.559 us in valleys as well. God doesn't retreat from 00:09:39.559 --> 00:09:42.639 valleys. Oftentimes like Ezekiel, he visits us 00:09:42.639 --> 00:09:45.860 in the valley. Oh, that's such a good thing for 00:09:45.860 --> 00:09:49.080 y 'all to realize that God doesn't wait to visit 00:09:49.080 --> 00:09:51.360 you on the mountaintops. He's the God who comes 00:09:51.360 --> 00:09:55.419 in the valley. And so Zeke, God's showing him 00:09:55.419 --> 00:09:57.399 this like, no, I'm the God of the valley too. 00:09:57.779 --> 00:09:59.960 And so he's showing him through the valley and 00:09:59.960 --> 00:10:03.580 he says the drone, the bones were very, very 00:10:03.580 --> 00:10:06.259 dry. And what he's alluding to is that now it 00:10:06.259 --> 00:10:10.179 wasn't that they were were barely, barely without 00:10:10.179 --> 00:10:15.750 life. They were. dead and gone and When you look 00:10:15.750 --> 00:10:18.289 through it those very dry bones actually represent 00:10:18.289 --> 00:10:22.370 the the the Attitude of the people that represented 00:10:22.370 --> 00:10:26.070 their outlook that they were not just without 00:10:26.070 --> 00:10:30.389 hope that they were Hopeless they had no thought 00:10:30.389 --> 00:10:33.990 that anything good could happen at all. They 00:10:33.990 --> 00:10:41.840 were very dry bones y 'all rocking And he said 00:10:41.840 --> 00:10:50.840 to me, son of man, can these bones live? This 00:10:50.840 --> 00:10:54.779 is such an incredible question that's being asked. 00:10:54.799 --> 00:10:58.059 So now you have this moment, God has taken Ezekiel 00:10:58.059 --> 00:11:01.100 the prophet through dream into this moment where 00:11:01.100 --> 00:11:03.440 he's given him an understanding of what he's 00:11:03.440 --> 00:11:06.159 about to do. And in this dream, he asked him 00:11:06.159 --> 00:11:12.750 a question, can these dry bones live? That is 00:11:12.750 --> 00:11:17.509 a question that many of us have to answer today 00:11:17.509 --> 00:11:22.590 Concerning whatever dry bones we're looking at 00:11:22.590 --> 00:11:29.570 Is do you believe they can live What's amazing 00:11:29.570 --> 00:11:32.330 about this is God already knows what he's about 00:11:32.330 --> 00:11:38.710 to do God's will isn't dependent upon Ezekiel's 00:11:38.710 --> 00:11:44.080 response to the question that God has already 00:11:44.080 --> 00:11:47.879 ordered and orchestrated for life to come. The 00:11:47.879 --> 00:11:51.220 question is, are you gonna co -sign on what's 00:11:51.220 --> 00:11:55.059 already been predetermined? Are you gonna allow 00:11:55.059 --> 00:11:58.679 yourself to change your perspective and align 00:11:58.679 --> 00:12:02.580 it up with God's able to do? He was asking him 00:12:02.580 --> 00:12:05.700 a question not to get permission to do something. 00:12:05.860 --> 00:12:08.899 He was asking him a question so that he can align 00:12:08.899 --> 00:12:19.120 himself with God's plan. Amen. Oftentimes we 00:12:19.120 --> 00:12:21.019 get that same question from the people around 00:12:21.019 --> 00:12:25.980 us, do you think it can change? He says, so, son of man, can these dry bones 00:13:22.169 --> 00:13:29.970 live? And I answer, oh, Lord God, you know. Then 00:13:29.970 --> 00:13:34.570 he said to me, prophesy over these bones and 00:13:34.570 --> 00:13:39.909 say to them, Old dry bones hear the word of the 00:13:39.909 --> 00:13:43.929 Lord. And so he's sitting in the middle. Once 00:13:43.929 --> 00:13:47.610 again, this is a visionary dream and he's in 00:13:47.610 --> 00:13:51.769 this valley and these bones are there. They actually 00:13:51.769 --> 00:13:55.250 represent the people of Israel, their outlook, 00:13:55.450 --> 00:13:58.809 their disposition, how they feel about what's 00:13:58.809 --> 00:14:01.090 going on. And the one of the reasons why they 00:14:01.090 --> 00:14:04.500 were very dry is this actually is a moment after 00:14:04.500 --> 00:14:08.200 judgment had came. And so they were in a moment 00:14:08.200 --> 00:14:11.139 of judgment. God had judged them. They had been 00:14:11.139 --> 00:14:13.759 defeated by the Babylonians. So it wasn't just 00:14:13.759 --> 00:14:16.799 a theoretical defeat. It was an actual defeat. 00:14:18.559 --> 00:14:22.259 That they had been defeated. He involves Ezekiel because God loves 00:15:02.899 --> 00:15:10.059 for us to respond to dead situations. That he's 00:15:10.059 --> 00:15:13.259 asking him to speak to it, not because he needs 00:15:13.259 --> 00:15:17.519 his words in order to perform, but in the process 00:15:17.519 --> 00:15:20.120 of him performing, he's reshaping his outlook. 00:15:22.490 --> 00:15:25.970 He's reshaping his attitude.
