I got newsflash. 00:05:49.560 --> 00:05:52.660 We are in revival right now. We're experiencing 00:05:52.660 --> 00:05:55.579 revival and we're only going to grow in greater 00:05:55.579 --> 00:05:58.680 revival. And this revival, this movement of God 00:05:58.680 --> 00:06:02.000 is not going to stop until the clouds part and 00:06:02.000 --> 00:06:05.389 the trumpet sounds. There is a movement that's 00:06:05.389 --> 00:06:08.370 being established on the church in the earth 00:06:08.370 --> 00:06:11.370 right now all over the world. And people are 00:06:11.370 --> 00:06:15.110 tired of revivals coming and going and leaving 00:06:15.110 --> 00:06:18.230 things unchanged or things going back. And we 00:06:18.230 --> 00:06:21.689 are establishing a heart cry to the Lord that 00:06:21.689 --> 00:06:24.689 says this cannot be all. There must be more. 00:06:26.790 --> 00:06:34.160 And the more is acts. The more is the New Testament 00:06:34.160 --> 00:06:38.480 scriptures in which the church comes alive to 00:06:38.480 --> 00:06:48.120 who we really are. So when Jesus is saying, listen, 00:06:48.339 --> 00:06:52.180 my disciples, my followers, I want to teach you 00:06:52.180 --> 00:06:55.240 what the kingdom of heaven is like. Man, we ought 00:06:55.240 --> 00:06:59.040 to just be hanging on every word. And we got to come 00:07:19.920 --> 00:07:23.779 alive to that. So for the next few minutes, it's 00:07:23.779 --> 00:07:26.399 got three here. Let's look at three lessons. 00:07:27.389 --> 00:07:29.930 about the kingdom of heaven that Jesus teaches 00:07:29.930 --> 00:07:34.029 in the parable of the fishing net. Number one, 00:07:34.050 --> 00:07:36.209 if you're writing this down, taking notes, I 00:07:36.209 --> 00:07:39.810 encourage you to do that. The kingdom of heaven 00:07:39.810 --> 00:07:44.829 has a prepared timeline. A kingdom person, man, 00:07:45.029 --> 00:07:49.329 woman, child, must live with an eternal perspective 00:07:49.329 --> 00:07:57.009 preparing for the return of Jesus. In verse 48, 00:07:57.189 --> 00:07:59.550 when Jesus is telling this parable, he says, 00:07:59.670 --> 00:08:03.990 they cast a net into the lake. And when, the 00:08:03.990 --> 00:08:08.689 time, and when it was full. And then in verse 00:08:08.689 --> 00:08:13.189 49, he says, and this is how it will be at the 00:08:13.189 --> 00:08:19.110 end of the age. Listen, there is a timeline set 00:08:19.110 --> 00:08:23.759 forth by the master planner, Yahweh God. And 00:08:23.759 --> 00:08:27.000 we are currently in the timeline of the New Testament 00:08:27.000 --> 00:08:30.259 church anointed by the Holy Spirit. But there 00:08:30.259 --> 00:08:33.659 is a coming, a next great and mighty turning 00:08:33.659 --> 00:08:36.200 point in the timeline of the kingdom of heaven. 00:08:36.299 --> 00:08:39.639 And the next turning point will be the end of 00:08:39.639 --> 00:08:48.340 the age when Jesus returns in glory. And you 00:08:48.340 --> 00:08:57.720 can quite literally bet your life on it. That's 00:08:57.720 --> 00:09:04.120 exciting. It's extremely exciting and I believe 00:09:04.120 --> 00:09:09.299 it should be also extremely sobering to wake 00:09:09.299 --> 00:09:16.639 us up, to come alive in kingdom purpose. A kingdom 00:09:16.639 --> 00:09:20.419 person must live with an eternal perspective 00:09:20.419 --> 00:09:25.440 preparing for the return of Jesus. It reminds 00:09:25.440 --> 00:09:29.279 me of... when the scripture says, it's in Galatians 00:09:29.279 --> 00:09:32.139 chapter 4, Ephesians chapter 1, it says, and 00:09:32.139 --> 00:09:36.600 at the fullness of time, right? This timeline 00:09:36.600 --> 00:09:42.500 that God has. And here's where I would like us 00:09:42.500 --> 00:09:47.240 to interact with this passage. Are you living 00:09:47.240 --> 00:09:51.879 with an eternal perspective? Are you? Because 00:09:51.879 --> 00:09:57.549 it, it's extremely challenging. At least it is 00:09:57.549 --> 00:10:00.710 for me. It's extremely challenging in a world 00:10:00.710 --> 00:10:03.370 that's consumed with our momentary pleasures 00:10:03.370 --> 00:10:06.950 and needs, right? I mean, all the advertising, 00:10:07.129 --> 00:10:09.470 all the commercials, everything, everything in 00:10:09.470 --> 00:10:12.509 our world is pushing us towards what you need, 00:10:12.610 --> 00:10:16.049 what you want right now. And so it's difficult 00:10:16.049 --> 00:10:20.909 in that type of context every day for us to live 00:10:20.909 --> 00:10:24.830 outside of that and say, no, this is a kingdom. 00:10:26.250 --> 00:10:30.330 eternal perspective. I don't live for today. 00:10:31.350 --> 00:10:35.769 My focus is not on today. My focus is not the 00:10:35.769 --> 00:10:38.909 next 10 years. My focus is not my retirement. 00:10:39.090 --> 00:10:41.710 My focus is not even the inheritance I leave 00:10:41.710 --> 00:10:43.929 to my children, even though the scriptures say 00:10:43.929 --> 00:10:47.009 the righteous should do that. That's not my focus. 00:10:47.149 --> 00:10:50.509 That's the natural outcome of seeking first the 00:10:50.509 --> 00:10:53.769 kingdom of heaven. Feeding our kids or we're at work 00:12:28.470 --> 00:12:32.289 running a crane or on patrol or digging something 00:12:32.289 --> 00:12:34.809 with the tractor or being a mom. We're going 00:12:34.809 --> 00:12:37.629 to be doing the things that we do every day. 00:12:38.009 --> 00:12:44.389 And we're going to hear that trumpet sound. And 00:12:44.389 --> 00:12:50.429 the world's going to shake. And he's going to 00:12:50.429 --> 00:12:57.240 return with fire in his eyes. And how the disciple gives up everything 00:13:52.950 --> 00:13:56.100 to have the kingdom where some, have translated 00:13:56.100 --> 00:13:59.120 it or interpreted to mean that we and the other 00:13:59.120 --> 00:14:01.779 lost people of the world are the great treasure 00:14:01.779 --> 00:14:04.759 or the pearl of great pricing. God sold everything 00:14:04.759 --> 00:14:08.000 and paid the high price to have us back. Either 00:14:08.000 --> 00:14:13.519 way you look at it, the point is that when we 00:14:13.519 --> 00:14:19.820 have a kingdom perspective and we live on a timeline, 00:14:20.620 --> 00:14:22.899 that is focused toward the next turning point 00:14:22.899 --> 00:14:25.879 of the kingdom, the return of Jesus, it should 00:14:25.879 --> 00:14:29.620 sober us to the fact that the final judgment 00:14:29.620 --> 00:14:35.200 is real, heaven is real, hell is real, and we 00:14:35.200 --> 00:14:38.460 have a great and mighty job to do right now to 00:14:38.460 --> 00:14:42.039 advance the kingdom so that every lost person 00:14:42.039 --> 00:14:45.419 hears the plea of the gospel of Jesus Christ. 00:14:52.009 --> 00:14:56.470 It says, Jesus speaking, the angels will come 00:14:56.470 --> 00:15:01.169 and separate the wicked from the righteous. The 00:15:01.169 --> 00:15:06.029 angels will come and separate the wicked from 00:15:06.029 --> 00:15:13.830 the righteous. What does he go on to say there? 00:15:15.129 --> 00:15:18.710 And throw them into the fiery furnace where there 00:15:18.710 --> 00:15:29.370 will be weeping. and gnashing of teeth. It is 00:15:29.370 --> 00:15:32.610 true because Jesus said it. There's all kinds 00:15:32.610 --> 00:15:36.509 of interpretations of Christianity that want 00:15:36.509 --> 00:15:41.049 to do away with hell. And I get it because I 00:15:41.049 --> 00:15:44.590 don't like it. I don't like hell. I don't like 00:15:44.590 --> 00:15:47.269 the thought of people going to hell. I don't 00:15:47.269 --> 00:15:52.850 like the idea of eternal Burning and weeping 00:15:52.850 --> 00:16:02.990 and gnashing of teeth. Too bad. It's not based 00:16:02.990 --> 00:16:07.210 on what we like and what we feel. It's based 00:16:07.210 --> 00:16:12.110 on the sovereign, untouchable wisdom of a loving 00:16:12.110 --> 00:16:17.169 and merciful yet just God. And as many have preached 00:16:17.169 --> 00:16:20.169 before, I also will teach what the Scripture 00:16:20.169 --> 00:16:24.789 says. God sends no one to hell. They make the 00:16:24.789 --> 00:16:28.210 decision themselves. They are doomed by their 00:16:28.210 --> 00:16:32.230 own rejection of Jesus Christ. And no one is 00:16:32.230 --> 00:16:36.570 without excuse because even by creation, God 00:16:36.570 --> 00:16:40.049 reveals Himself to every man and woman on the 00:16:40.049 --> 00:16:48.090 earth. But that doesn't take away what hell is. 00:16:48.389 --> 00:16:51.470 And so... When Jesus says, he's been teaching 00:16:51.470 --> 00:16:53.690 all these parables. Hey guys, I want to tell 00:16:53.690 --> 00:16:56.850 you what the kingdom's like. And it's the sower. 00:16:56.889 --> 00:17:00.169 It's the mustard seed. It's the yeast. It's the 00:17:00.169 --> 00:17:03.110 treasure. It's the pearl. Isn't it interesting 00:17:03.110 --> 00:17:08.029 that this is how he ends his teaching on the 00:17:08.029 --> 00:17:11.569 parables of the kingdom? He says, and gentlemen, 00:17:11.670 --> 00:17:16.190 let me tell you one last parable. At the end 00:17:16.190 --> 00:17:24.289 of the age. there's going to be a judgment. And 00:17:24.289 --> 00:17:27.329 he said, do you understand these things? And 00:17:27.329 --> 00:17:31.329 they said, we do, sir. And there's an understanding 00:17:31.329 --> 00:17:35.750 that we need to come into. Because if it goes 00:17:35.750 --> 00:17:39.769 from an intellectual thought into the core of 00:17:39.769 --> 00:17:45.750 who we are, then this becomes the priority of 00:17:45.750 --> 00:17:51.589 our lives. Making disciples. And what's the first 00:17:51.589 --> 00:17:55.529 step of making disciples? Leading the lost into 00:17:55.529 --> 00:17:58.529 the salvation of Jesus Christ. These are all 00:17:58.529 --> 00:18:02.470 the initials and names of people in our lives, 00:18:02.509 --> 00:18:10.630 in this church, right? That if this happened 00:18:10.630 --> 00:18:13.950 tomorrow, as far as we know, we don't judge men's 00:18:13.950 --> 00:18:15.849 hearts, but as far as we know by the fruit that 00:18:15.849 --> 00:18:21.180 we see, all these people would be cast out of 00:18:21.180 --> 00:18:26.420 the net and into the fire. And so it should stir 00:18:26.420 --> 00:18:31.160 in us. Like this is our life's priority. This 00:18:31.160 --> 00:18:33.900 is why we're shifting into a kingdom mindset. 00:18:34.400 --> 00:18:37.440 Because in the kingdom of heaven, the king is 00:18:37.440 --> 00:18:40.480 lifted high and his reign is spread.
