Welcome to Secrets Revealed, part A. This is part of the What is Prophecy series. Read by Hector Garcia What does God do when ready to work out His will on earth? Amos 3:7, says Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he reveals his secret unto his servants the prophets. Revelation 1:1, says... The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: In the Desire of Ages, p. 234, it reads “While ‘the secret things belong unto the Lord our God,’ ‘those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever. ’ Amos 3:7; Deuteronomy 29:29. God has given these things to us, and His blessing will attend the reverent, prayerful study of the prophetic scriptures.” What does this mean to me? A man once stood in the shadows of history: not a king, not a ruler. yet entrusted with secrets that shaped empires He saw kingdoms rise before they existed He spoke of events before they unfolded But here is the question Why would heaven speak at all Scripture answers plainly “Surely the Lord God will do nothing but he reveals his secret unto his servants the prophets” Amos 3:7 God does not act in silence He reveals He warns He prepares “The Revelation of Jesus Christ which God gave unto him to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass” Revelation 1:1 Ellen G. White wrote “Through the illumination of the Holy Spirit the scenes of the long-continued conflict between good and evil have been opened” The Great Controversy page 9 1911 And Sister White reminds us “We have nothing to fear for the future except as we shall forget the way the Lord has led us” Life Sketches page 196 1915 God reveals not to impress but to prepare But if God reveals so much What does He conceal “The secret things belong unto the Lord our God but those things which are revealed belong unto us” Deuteronomy 29:29 There are limits boundaries not of restriction but of protection “Canst thou by searching find out God” Job 11:7 Ellen G. White explains “The Bible is its own expositor Scripture is to be compared with scripture” Education page 190 1903 And Sister White adds “It is impossible for any human mind to exhaust even one truth or promise of the Bible” Steps to Christ page 110 1892 God reveals enough for obedience And conceals enough for humility But why speak at all Because love compels Him “We love him because he first loved us” 1 John 4:19 “Oh how great is thy goodness which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee” Psalm 31:19 Ellen G. White declares “Christ was treated as we deserve that we might be treated as He deserves” The Desire of Ages page 25 1898 And Sister White assures “If you give yourself to Him Christ's character stands in place of your character” Steps to Christ page 62 1892 Every warning Every prophecy Every revealed truth Flows from a love that refuses to let you be lost So then Who carries that message forward Not angels alone But people “Be ye doers of the word and not hearers only” James 1:22 “I have made thee a watchman therefore hear the word and give them warning” Ezekiel 3:17 Ellen G. White wrote “The greatest want of the world is the want of men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall” Education page 57 1903 And Sister White warns “God will call to account every one who has had the light of truth and has not improved the opportunities to communicate that light” Testimonies Volume 9 page 28 1909 Truth received Becomes responsibility Light received Becomes mission And in the final moments of earth’s history That mission rises With power “I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord” Malachi 4:5 “And the earth was lightened with his glory” Revelation 18:1 Ellen G. White declared “The great work of the gospel is not to close with less manifestation of the power of God” The Great Controversy page 611 1911 And Sister White reveals “The message will be carried by the deep conviction of the Spirit of God” The Great Controversy page 612 1911 This final message Is not hidden Not quiet Not uncertain It is clear It is urgent It is filled with light And that man The one who stood in the shadows The one who saw what others could not see The one who spoke when others remained silent That man Was Daniel And now you know The truth the Spirit has made known If you have a prayer request please go to www.faith fundamentals.blog Prayer meetings are held on Tuesday Wednesday Friday and Saturday To join enter your email address in the comments section
