Welcome to AN INFINITE MIND, part B. A continuation of the "What is Prophecy" series. Read by Hector Garcia What does our Lord do with this knowledge? Daniel 2: 20–22, it says: "Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removes kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: He reveals the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him." In Ministry of Healing, page 417, it says: “Above the distractions of the earth God sits enthroned; all things are open to His divine survey; and from His great and calm eternity He orders that which His providence sees best.” In Prophets and Kings, pages 499-500, it says: “In the annals of human history, the growth of nations, the rise and fall of empires, appear as if dependent on the will and prowess of man; the shaping of events seems, to a great degree, to be determined by his power, ambition, or caprice. But in the word of God the curtain is drawn aside, and we behold, above, behind, and through all the play and counterplay of human interest and power and passions, the agencies of the All-merciful One, silently, patiently working out the counsels of His own will. ” Here is a brief commentary: A man stands before kings No crown No army No throne Yet he speaks And empires tremble Historians tell us Wars decide history Economics shapes nations But Scripture tells another story “Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever for wisdom and might are his” “And the LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought he makes the devices of the people of none effect” There is a throne above every throne A power beyond every power And behind every decision There is a Hand Unseen Unrushed Unstoppable But who sees it Who understands it Who dares to speak it “He reveals the deep and secret things he knoweth what is in the darkness” “Declaring the end from the beginning My counsel shall stand” Secrets Revealed Not to kings Not to armies But to one man A captive A servant A stranger in a foreign land Yet heaven speaks to him And what he sees Changes everything But why would God reveal such things Why not let history unfold on its own Because Love waits “Herein is love not that we loved God but that he loved us” “For as the heaven is high above the earth so great is his mercy” God delays Not because He is weak But because He is patient Not because He forgets But because He loves Every warning Every sign Every prophecy Is mercy Calling Waiting Inviting But love does not leave us unchanged “Thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart” “Blessed are they that keep his testimonies and that seek him with the whole heart” Love calls for surrender Not half Not part All Because divided hearts Cannot stand When kingdoms fall And when that love fills the heart It does not stay there “Bear ye one another’s burdens” “Be ye kind one to another tenderhearted forgiving one another” Faith becomes visible Not in words But in life In kindness In sacrifice In love And where is all this leading Listen closely “The God of heaven shall set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed” “Babylon the great is fallen is fallen” Empires rise Empires fall But one kingdom remains Unshaken Unbroken Eternal And now The mystery The man Standing before kings Speaking of kingdoms Revealing secrets He was not a ruler He was not a general He was Daniel A captive Who trusted God A servant Who saw beyond men A prophet Who revealed heaven And now you know The truth the Spirit has made known If you have a prayer request please go to www.
