less safe and more fail. Huh? It was at about that time that the world seemed to fade around Orochi Maru. The sky forming

happy. Itachi nodded. He then began to administer the first doses as Arochimaru's information had asked of

them, but it was best to leave this location now. It wouldn't be long before someone showed up and figured out what

they'd done. As they left to find somewhere else to stay, Sasuke spoke. Now that I'm better, can we go home now

to mom and dad? Itachi stopped. He'd been so preoccupied with healing his brother that he never got around to

telling him what had happened. He rented out a home in a small town, and there he left Sasuke. "When will you be back?"

Sasuke asked. "I'm not sure, but soon. I have some business to take care of first. There's food in the fridge, and

if you need any help, the landlord lives right next door. You can ask him, "Okay." Sasuke nodded. Itachi then left

the house. Making his way back to the Akatsky hideout, he made sure to do it on a day where everyone would be

gathered. He rescended the evil ceiling technique on his shoulder knowing he would need it. He entered the room. As

he stood there, all the others looked at him. "Where is Orochi Maru?" Pain asked.

Itachi didn't answer. His gaze told all. "What have you done?" Conan asked. At

that moment, Itachi activated his curse mark which covered his whole body. Further, he ascended to the second

stage. "Size him," Pain said. It was too late, though. Itachi set Zetsu ablaze

and immediately moved in to kill Juo. The ninja swordsman leveled the executioner's blade at Itachi, planning

to sever him in two, but the wings on his back puffed him out of the way of the blade. Coming up behind Juo, he put

a hand through his back. Kakazu, his partner, and Saucery all sprung into action against Itachi, only for Itachi

to form his Susano, giant and armored to smash them. Saucery was smashed and left

broken like the toy he was. Conan attempted to use her exploding tags to destroy Itachi and his Susano. And to

her credit, it did work. But what she hadn't expected was that this was not the real Itachi. Coming from the door

again, Itachi utilized a Matarasu to set her and all of her paper ablaze. The

sight of Conan burning to death was enough to get Payne finally involved. Utilizing almighty push, he sent Itachi

through the wall and out of the base. As Itachi flew, he landed. He knew Kauazu and his partner were still alive. But

that didn't matter. All he had to do was kill Payne and their toxic dream would be at an end. Or so he thought.

Appearing from behind him, the man who had once been Itachi's aid during the massacre appeared. Tisk, Tisk, Tisk. and

man disappeared. Payne seemed disappointed, but said not a word as Toby disappeared. Fine, fine. I will

only now realizing that Pain had comrades. He didn't truly understand what he was looking at and merely

assumed that they were six renegon users. What he was looking at made no difference to him, though, as he

prepared to kill them all. If anything, this might make it a little more fair for Pain. As the six paths began to rush

toward him, he activated his Susano once again, only for the animal path to summon its animals, which consisted of a

large three-headed dog, a bird, and a centipede. Itachi saw them coming. The

dog he decided to take out immediately with a matarasu and the centipede he stabbed with the blade of his susano.

The drill-beaked bird would fly into him causing damage to his construct. Itachi would stumble about as he was struck. It

was then that he noticed his susana was growing weaker. It was being absorbed by the predapath. Itachi looked over, saw

it absorbing a susano, and let go of his susana before moving in for hand-to-hand combat. Pulling his tanto, he danced

around the predapath before bisecting it. The divapath once again attempted to push Itachi away, but this time Itachi

dug into the ground with his blade and hung on. He pulled Akunai out and began to draw closer. As Pain tried to hit him

with another almighty push, Itachi began to scale what seemed to be a horizontal wall until he was close enough to sweep

D.A's legs. Before he could finish off D.Va, the animal path summoned its bird to pull Itachi into the air. As Itachi

was dragged through the sky, he utilized a moatasu on the bird to evaporate it. As it dropped him, he dove straight at

the animal path, eliminating it. At about this time, the Ashura path was firing at him with missiles. Itachi

bounced back. He then saw the Naraka path putting the body of the Prada into the king of hell before the Prada came

out completely healed. Itachi knew he couldn't have that, so he ignored the Ashura and rushed the Naraka and Prada

once again. "You were better off dead," he shouted as he beheaded both in one fell swoop. Only three paths remained.

to do was hit it from a distance. And so he cast Ashura under Genjutsu as it fired a new volley of missiles at him,

fight. Eventually, they overwhelmed it and began to sever limbs from its body. With it severely weakened, Itachi tried

his Susano again, smashing the path to oblivion. All that was left now was Div.A, which was defeating each shadow

clone. As they came in, Itachi himself attempted to draw closer. Pain generated a set of chakra rods to use as weapons

against Itachi. Their battle went back and forth. Whether almighty push or universal pull, neither technique worked
