0:00 Teneri Osuki is a cool character. I sometimes think he's a little underrated. His dojutsu doesn't get 0:06 enough love. But then again, to be fair, it had no foreshadowing and just showed up once and never again, seemingly only 0:13 to be replaced by the concept of Joan in Boruto. Maybe Boruto will bridge the gap 0:18 between the two eyes. I don't know. But one thing is for certain, I wish we could have seen more of him and his 0:24 tension. And so as I was thinking about how much I wish I could see more of Taner's cool eyeballs, I thought, why 0:31 not add him to Team 7, introduce him a little earlier? And so now we have that 0:37 story coming straight to your TV or computer or phone or whatever you're 0:42 watching this on. So sit right back and grab your favorite scarf. Let's get started. But first, let me just say 0:49 welcome to the Amagi. Only 25% of our viewers are subscribed. So, if you're a 0:55 fan of the video, please like and double check if you are subscribed. And with that out of the way, let's get into the 1:00 video. The inside of the moon was hollow. It rang like a bell every time an asteroid hit. And while generally 1:07 said asteroids weren't very impactful, on rare occasions, they left a large crater on the surface. As if the moon 1:14 were properly designed to be some sort of shield for the planet below. But that didn't make the moon all that dangerous. 1:21 The Tensaon vessel kept up a shield to protect the inside, which was why it rang when struck. The castle at the 1:27 center of the moon at its core, serving often as a light source, like the sun 1:32 for the day and dimly as the moon for the night. And at the center of that castle was the ghetto statue, the last 1:39 remnant of the matriarch that gave birth to every Ottosuki on the surface of the 1:44 Earth. And now the interior of the moon. Well, when I said the ghetto statue was 1:49 at the center, I mean that as in past tense years ago, it suddenly disappeared, which told the Elderly 1:56 Guardian, the last living Ottosuki within the moon after a millennium of war, that the renegon had been awakened 2:03 once more. All right, remember when I said last living Osuki? Well, once again, I lied. He wasn't the last living 2:10 Ottosuki, for the blinded patriarch of a nothing clan had one heir left to him by 2:16 his now late wife, and his name was Toneri. The boy was kind and sweet, and 2:22 as per tradition, he too was blinded at birth, his eyes taken from him. The 2:28 young man had no recollection of what it was like to see using anything other than chakra sense. Braille was his only 2:34 way of reading, and the boy indeed loved to read. But time wears away at 2:40 everything, and life within the mortal shell often comes to an end, particularly in ways and at times which 2:47 seem inconvenient. The older man was dying, and he had yet to tell his son. 2:52 He was afraid, the old man indeed, not of death, but of leaving his son behind. 2:58 How could he survive by himself? Surely he could. He was smart and had the automaton servants to watch over him. 3:05 But what was an automaton compared to the touch of another living being? This moon was cold and white, and while 3:12 beautiful, it was lonesome. This was not the fate he wished for his son. The elderly man had himself been born and 3:20 raised upon this little celestial body, and he would soon die here as well. But this was not what he wanted for his son. 3:27 Below them, on the surface, rested the Huga clan. And while the Huga had long 3:32 since forgotten they existed, the Ottosuki had not forgotten the Huga. They were family after all, cousins. And 3:40 though he knew that they probably wouldn't accept Teneri as he was, he knew that to be adopted by this family 3:46 would be the best case scenario. He would have companionship and love. And so, as his final days came closer, the 3:54 old man had spent much of his remaining energy getting things prepared for Taer. As he sat there, he began to wonder if 4:00 it was truly wise to hide this time of dying from his son. Tenary still didn't 4:06 know that in but a few short days, his father would die. Perhaps the elder was 4:11 being selfish. Or perhaps this weakness was born of love in not wanting his son 4:16 to deal with the pain of knowing these wonderful, beautiful final moments were all he had left with him for this life. 4:23 He didn't want his son to feel as though these moments were sad. But even still, it was a father's duty to prepare their 4:31 children for things, for hardships. And so, even though he didn't wish to, he called his son to him. Tener came 4:37 running. The elder did not see his son as you and I would. Chakra sense was the 4:43 only sight either of them truly knew, and to them, it felt like echoing out from the darkness a beam of sunshine. 4:50 Tener seemed troubled. Perhaps he already knew. After all, as I said, they 4:55 did not see each other as we do. Tener may have already known. "Come here, my 5:01 son," the father said, opening his arms. "Do you understand what is going on?" he asked. Tener, despite his brave face, 5:08 nodded. The strength in the boy began to waver as even without eyes of his own, tears began to roll down his cheeks. 5:15 "You're sick, Papa?" the boy said. The father nodded his head. "Yes, my son, I 5:21 am. Will you be okay?" the boy asked. The elder took a deep breath and spoke. 5:27 I am blessed to have gotten to have you, but it seems the time God had set out 5:32 for me has slowly reached its conclusion. I do not think I have much time before I go to my father and mother 5:39 and to their fathers and mothers. But don't worry about me. I've made peace with this fact. And now I want for you 5:46 to be well cared for. He said, "This means I am going to send you away where you can be happy and loved. I don't want 5:54 to leave you." He said, "I know, my boy, but it must be done. I do not know how many days we have left. So, tomorrow I 6:01 will send you away." Standing up, the elderly man knew that he was truly advanced, as this wasn't as easy as it 6:08 used to be. But that was okay. Whatever strength he had left would be displayed here. If he didn't use his strength now, 6:16 when ever would he use it? And so he left the castle, jumping to the temple that hovered across from it as it drew 6:22 closer. Inside, he brought his son to the Tensaon, the large vessel created by 6:27 Hamura, their patriarch. What are we doing here? Tenary asked. The elders spoke. This place was formed many years 6:35 ago by our ancestor Hamura. He created it to protect us and the world below. 6:40 But during the years following, like many great things, [music] it became a weapon. And because of that 6:46 war, our people are all but died out. Now, this vessel serves only to protect 6:52 the moon and the earth below. But to you and I, it is worthless. And so, I've 6:58 made the decision of what to do. Sitting his son down, he jumped from there to the vessel. With his six paths chakra 7:06 inherited directly from his ancestor, he put his hand into it, grabbing something. As he jumped back to his son, 7:13 he spoke, "I have for you a parting gift, something I want you to have, and 7:18 something I know our ancestor would want you to have." He opened his hands. Within them were a set of byakugan. Very 7:26 old byakugan, but very powerful. As the last member of Hamura's soon-to-be dead 7:31 bloodline, "These are your inheritance, the eyes of Hamura, the Tensaon 7:36 themselves." Tener stood silent and solemn. "May I install them?" the father 7:42 asked. Tener was nervous about the feeling of it, but he remained still and nodded. And so, the elder, with all the 7:49 gentle love and kindness of a father, slowly slid the eyes into Tener's sockets. I regret the day we ever 7:56 removed your eyes. a foolish ritual, a tradition that had become cruel and 8:01 misused. Now I rectify this in the way our ancestor would have wanted it to be. 8:07 Closing Tener's eyelids, the old man used his incredible chakra control to perform the mystic palm technique with 8:14 near perfection. A moment later, Tener opened his eyes. For the first time in 8:19 his recorded memory, he saw, and the colors, the lights, the appearance of his father, it overwhelmed him. Tears 8:27 streamed down his cheeks once again. For the first time ever, it seemed, he saw 8:32 the face of his father, wrinkled and gnarled, covered in a well-kept, though 8:37 now slowly becoming ragged beard. He hugged his father, and for the rest of that day, the two spent time together, 8:45 playing, talking, and as night came around, the two shared the same bed and 8:50 slept in the arms of one another. They were fitting a lifetime of bonding into one day as they both knew it would be 8:57 their last. And so as the last night drew into day, the elderly man rose and 9:02 got Tener up. Awakening from sleep, Tener got his best clothes on and was taken down to Earth where the Huga were. 9:10 He had since met with the Huga and informed them of his condition. And the Huga, being gracious enough, made the 9:16 decision to receive Tener into their fold as a member of their main branch. the last surviving heir of a clan 9:23 closely connected to them. Tener was quiet, his head hung low with sorrow and worry. As any young man or woman might 9:31 know, being put into a new location around new people, away from what, you know, is a terrifying thought. What if 9:38 they don't like me? What if they're mean? How will I go on without Papa? These were the thoughts of an anxious 9:44 boy who didn't know what would become of him. But upon reaching the compound, he was met by Hiashi Huga, the man who 9:50 would be his new guardian. Hiashi on one knee looked to Teneri with a smile. "Hello," he offered, a hand raised and 9:57 reaching out to Tenary. Tener saw his smile and sensed an aura of love within the man's chakra. And so he reached out 10:04 his hand and took it. Very weakly, Tener spoke. "Hello." Hi looked up at the 10:10 elder. Do you require help? I can send to you some of my people to serve you until your time reaches its conclusion. 10:17 The elder shook his head. No, I will be okay. I have the automatons which have 10:23 been instructed to watch over me until my passing and sit me to rest with my ancestors in the tomb. After that, the 10:30 automatons and all the other non-essential things will shut off to preserve energy for all time. Hi nodded. 10:37 We will take care of your child. You have our word. Thank you, Lord Hiashi. the elder said. Coming down to Tener's 10:44 side, he wiped a few tears away from the boy's cheek and spoke. Wherever you go, Tener, whatever you face, know that I 10:52 will be with you always." The boy fell into his father's arms and wept bitterly, crying like a baby. This was 11:00 so much that even the elder began to cry. Hi, opting to look away out of respect. When their goodbyes were 11:06 shared, Tenary returned to Hiashi, who took his hand, and from there, father and son parted ways. The elder returned 11:13 to the moon, where he persisted for only a day more, his broken heart giving up the will to fight the disease and 11:20 passing on soon after. The automatons dealt with the body in the way they were asked to, and then returned to their 11:26 places as all lights and functions, save only the 10 Saigon, finally and permanently, burned out. That night, 11:34 Teneri was watching the moon, thinking about his father. It was then that he felt it. His father was gone. The 11:41 sadness was immeasurable, but Teneri had already cried all the tears he had to 11:46 cry. Hinata, Aerys of the Huga clan, came to Tener and sat beside him. Taking 11:51 his hand, she spoke. I'm very sorry. I lost my mom, too, when I was very young. 11:57 I know the pain you feel, but know this. It will get better. It doesn't feel like 12:02 it," Tenary spoke. Hinata nodded, wiping tears of her own away. "It's always 12:07 there, a small thorn in your heart. But even a thorn may one day become a rose. 12:13 What I do remember of my mother are all cherished memories that comfort me when I need it." "My mom is with me, just as 12:20 your dad is with you," Tener nodded and looked down. I never had the chance to say, but I thank you and your family for 12:27 so graciously accepting me. A perfect stranger into your home. Heat smiled. 12:32 But you're not a stranger. You're family. After that, Tenary took time to grieve. But life goes on. Tener was a 12:39 very smart child, but the one thing he couldn't do was read. Well, not the same as everyone else. Given that he was 12:46 never meant to have eyes after birth, the only language taught to him was Braille. So the symbols on books were 12:52 foreign to him. He spent much of his time learning how to correlate Braille to letters. This was one of the few 12:58 times where the book was used to teach one who had never seen before how to read with his new eyes. All during this 13:05 time, the boy suffered from hidden and incredible headaches that would often leave him needing to rest. For a time, 13:11 Hiashi was afraid for him, but Teneri told him not to bother. His eyes were pulsating with ancient and magnificent 13:17 power. powers that were inherited by him from Hamura. In the following weeks after the beginning of these pains, they 13:24 subsided as his eyes turned to the tensaon of legend, the only other eye 13:29 said to be capable of rivaling the renegon. Once the boy could read, he was tested for njutsu and allowed to join 13:35 the academy for an expedited training program, which would teach him the essentials and test him to see if he 13:41 could survive as a genine. Teneri passed well beyond the normal grades for children his age, mostly because his 13:47 culture and the composition of his chakra. Due to what he was, he had an affinity for all the natures of chakra. 13:54 Teneri was so ready that they said he might actually pass for tuning, but Hiashi indicated that Teneri should 14:00 start at genine level to get warmed up. As for the team he would join, they considered putting him on the same team 14:06 as Hinata or Neji in hopes of keeping him comfortable. But Hiashi suggested it would be best for him to be put on a 14:12 team without any Huga, as doing so would help him form independence, which he would need now that he were the sole 14:19 member and technical head of his clan. And so they chose a team at random for Teneri to join as a fourth member. And 14:26 that team was team seven under Kakashi. Teneri would be introduced to team seven 14:31 by the Hokag on one of the days that they were doing chores around the village. "Kakashi," Hien called out, 14:37 drawing not only the attention of the Joan, but each member of the team. Kakashi walked over. Lord Third, what 14:43 can I do for you? Hi then began to explain. This here is Toner Osuki. He is 14:49 a very special boy, the last remaining member of the Moonclan. He has elected 14:54 to join our village and as such has been handed over to us by the Huga for proper 14:59 education in the shinobi arts. Your team was selected at random to house the boy. 15:05 Kakashi nodded his head. It would be an honor. He said now continued. Toneri may 15:11 be special, but don't treat him any different than the others, okay? Treat him like any other genine. I will get 15:16 you his file later and help you understand how he can fit into your team. Kakashi nodded once again. Of 15:22 course. He then turned to the young man with a smile barely detectable through that large mask he wore. It's a pleasure 15:28 to have you, Tener. Our mission today is litter patrol. I'll get you a bag and a litter picker. Tener smiled. I am very 15:35 grateful. Hi then spoke. Why don't you introduce yourself to your new teammates while Kakashi and I discuss how to best 15:41 include you without overstraining Kakashi as a mentor. Tener offered a slight bow of respect. Yes, Lord Hien. 15:49 Thank you. As he left, he overheard Kakashi make mention of how polite he was, followed by an affirmation by 15:54 Hirozen. But eavesdropping was not polite, so he elected to ignore them after hearing that slight ego boost. 16:00 Coming to the group, he offered a smile. Pleasure to meet you. I am Toner, he said. Why are you pale as death? Naruto 16:07 asked. Sakura punched him in the arm. Hey, she said. Don't be rude. I just wanted to know why he looks like he's 16:13 never seen the sun before. Tener smiled. It's quite all right. I would surmise the reason for my pale appearance has to 16:19 do with genetics and the place where I come from. I once lived on the moon and I didn't get exposed to much sunlight 16:25 there. You lived on the moon? Naruto asked in amazement. So, as you would imagine, this sparked a conversation. 16:31 Kakashi was happy to find Tener fitting in well with the group. From there, they continued to do their jobs with Teneri 16:37 doing whatever was asked of him without complaint. But the one who was complaining was Naruto, which led to 16:43 Hisin giving them the land of waves mission. As they made their way to the land of waves, Teneri seemed to be the 16:49 big topic everyone was interested in. Sasuke tended to stay quiet around him, but then again, he tended to stay quiet 16:55 around all of the group. Naruto and Sakura were really excited, though. Can you tell us what it's like on the moon? 17:01 Is it beautiful? She asked. Honestly, I don't know, Teneri said. How do you not know? Naruto asked. You lived there for 17:07 10 years. Tener then began to explain. There was this ritual of my people. When we're born, our eyes are taken from us 17:14 and put into the tensaon, which is a giant vessel that helps power the moon and keep its orbit, gravity, life 17:20 support, and other similar things running. Because I was blind for most of my life, I never truly knew what it 17:26 looked like other than the natural energy coming from it. Chakra sense, senjutsu, things like that were how we 17:31 got around. We sensed things as opposed to seeing them. And honestly, it didn't bother me any. But now I can see and I 17:38 can tell what beauty is to the eyes of people who live on the earth. Sadly though, I never got a chance to tour the 17:43 moon, so I don't know what it looks like other than what I can see of it from Earth. But what I can say is that it 17:50 felt peaceful, even if a little lonely. Sakura thought his description was beautiful, but Naruto was hung up. Wait 17:56 a second. You had your eyeballs ripped out when you were a baby. Why? Tradition, Daenerys said. Naruto shook 18:02 his head. Boggus tradition, my guy. Naruto, don't say anything that will offend our guest, Kakashi said. No, it's 18:09 all right. My dad thought it was bogus, too, which is why before I left, he gifted me with the eyes of Hamuro Osuki. 18:16 Sakura stepped forward a little faster to take a look at his eyes. They don't look like normal by Byakugan, she said. 18:22 Is that because they came from the sage of six paths, brother? Toneri offered a nod. Yes, very likely so, he said. What 18:28 do they do? She asked. Well, they contain six paths power. Very similar to the renegon in a way, he said. As for 18:35 abilities, I can control gravitational forces. I can even endow life to inanimate objects and control them and 18:42 can even control some living objects as I please through something similar to genjutsu, but it's a bit more dominating 18:48 as it requires physical contact. He said, "Finally, it grants me access to sage mode and a chakra cloak and these 18:55 things my dad called truth seeker orbs," he said. "Wow, sounds like you're stacked." Naruto said, "Some guys get 19:01 all the luck. You have a dojutsu. Kakashi sensei has a dojutsu. Sasuke has a djutsu. Me and Sakura are boned." He 19:07 said, "Dojutsu are just another tool, Naruto. They don't define a shinobi," Kakashi said. "Says the guy who has a 19:14 dojutsu," he said, looking back at Kakashi. "What else can you do? What's your chakra affinity?" "All of them," 19:19 Teneri said. "All how is that possible?" Before Tener could answer, though, they were attacked by the demon brothers. 19:26 Sasuke immediately locked in and Teneri from Instinct alone raised a hand and pushed the two brothers away from the 19:32 group. As they tried to get their bearings from this unexpected response, Sasuke rushed in and used their chain to 19:39 arrest their movement and force their skulls to collide. As the two were seeing stars, Kakashi jumped in and 19:44 disabled the two brothers. Teneri was left standing there for a second to catch his breath. "Wow, that was 19:50 intense. Like I said, Dojutsu were cheating," Naruto said. They continued their trek until they faced Zabaza. With 19:56 Kakashi caught in a water prison, Naruto and Sasuke discussed a plan to try and save their master. But Teneri simply 20:02 raised his hand and sucked Kakashi right out of the water prison. This left Zabaza startled. Before he could 20:08 respond, he was pushed away by Tener. After this, Zabaza faked his own death as per Canon and escaped. The group made 20:15 their way to Tzuna's home where there they rested. Kakashi had some special training for them in regards to walking 20:21 across bodies of water or up steep and vertical inclines, but Tenary already knew everything there was to know about 20:27 it. So, they let him go off back to the home. Upon getting there, he recognized that there was another kid in the house, 20:33 one he hadn't seen before. This kid tried to hide from them, but now Teneri was interested in meeting someone closer 20:39 to his own age. And with his byakugan and incredible chakra sense, there was no hiding from him. Tenary found Inari 20:45 rather quickly. The boy seemed upset. "Can't you tell when someone wants to be left alone?" "Nobody should be left 20:51 alone," Tener said. "Because if they're left alone, they'll be lonely." "Hi, I'm Tener. Want to be my friend?" Inari 20:57 slapped the hand Tineri had put up for a handshake away from himself. Tenary pulled it away thereafter. "I take it as 21:03 a no," then the boy got up and began to walk away. Tenary followed. "Can't you take a hint? I don't want to be bothered 21:09 with you right now." "Why?" Tener asked. "Because I don't feel like it." "Why?" Because I don't like you, Inari shouted 21:15 as he slammed the door in Taer's face. Curling up on the ground in front of the door. A second silence passed before 21:21 Tener's muffled voice spoke again. Why? Inari sat there silently, hoping that 21:26 Teneri would go away. More time passed. Suddenly, something slid under the door. A slip of paper. Inari picked it up and 21:33 opened it. It was a smiley face with the caption, "Hi." Inari cracked the door open to see Teneri sitting there on his 21:39 knees waving. "Why won't you go away?" Inari asked. Teneri then spoke. "Where I 21:44 come from, we sense chakra as our main way of determining where to go," he said. "We have the ability to see people 21:50 in a way others can't. We can see deep into someone's heart, and I saw inside of yours just as much as I'm looking 21:57 into your face. And your heart seemed sad. I don't know why it's sad, but I know I don't want it to be that way. I 22:04 wanted to be happy." Inari closed the door again, his voice somber. On the other side, he spoke. It'll never be 22:10 happy again. Teneri sat, his back against the door, too. Can you tell me why? It was then that Inari spilled his 22:16 guts about his father, about how he died, and about the villains who took him from him. "Well, Inari," Teneri 22:22 said. "I can't entirely say I understand everything you feel, but I do feel a good portion of it. I lost my dad, too." 22:29 Tener began to explain to Inari about his father and about how he got sick. He then told Inari about the civil war his 22:36 clan experienced which left it practically extinct. I know you think you'll never be happy again, but a close 22:42 friend of mine said something that helped me and I hope it can help you, he said. She told me, "It's always there, a 22:49 small thorn in your heart. But even a thorn may one day become a rose. Basically, right now it hurts, and it 22:55 may always hurt, but the good news is that one day you'll remember all the good times, and those good times will be 23:02 a comfort for you. You're very young, Inari, and it doesn't seem fair that you should have to experience this the way 23:07 you did. But since the days man started living in this world, so long as there were more than two men, there has been 23:13 fighting and killing. He said, "What makes a hero is a person who knows that pain and says to themselves, because I 23:20 was hurt, I will fight to make sure nobody else has to feel this way. And even still, heroes fail. But that 23:26 doesn't mean that they aren't real." Death isn't always a loss. Sometimes it's a victory. It was for Kaisa. 23:32 Because of his death, so many others can be inspired to stop this from happening to others. Inari was quiet for a moment. 23:39 Tenary? Yeah. How long am I supposed to cry about it? The boy asked, the tone of his voice betraying his emotional state. 23:45 As Inari heard it and thought about his own father, tears came to his own eyes. 23:50 "Sometimes the tears never go away," he said, his own voice trembling. The door began to open again. Inari sat there on 23:57 his knees looking at Toner. The two of them hugged. Kakashi, who had been listening from a distance, smiled, 24:03 realizing that Toneri fully understood what it meant to be a shinobi. The day after, they found themselves on the 24:09 bridge. While there, they'd be met by Zabaza and his newly revealed aid, Haku. While Sasuke wanted to step up to face 24:16 Haku, Tauri quickly got involved when the demonic mirroring ice crystals technique began. As the Senbon began to 24:23 fly, he knew that Sasuke was in danger, and so he jumped into the frey himself to help defend Sasuke. Sasuke asked him 24:30 what he was doing in the dome with him, saying it was surely a trap. Teneri nodded. It is indeed a trap, but not one 24:36 impossible to get out of. "We can get out if we work together," he said. "What do you propose?" Sasuke asked. Tener 24:42 looked around. Seeing the nearest mirror, he convinced Sasuke to move closer toward it. The two made their way 24:48 to that mirror, dodging and blocking Senbon as they came in. When they got to the mirror, Tener and Sasuke moved 24:53 positions. Sasuke was to defend Tener. As Sasuke worked, Teneri used his byakugan on the mirrors to find the 25:00 weakest point. Having found it, he readied his fist. A moment later, he struck the mirror using the same 25:05 principles as the gentle fist, shattering it, allowing for both to escape. Haku, his trap having been 25:11 broken through, abandoned the mirrors and made off after the two of them. But as their battle moved on, Haku broke off 25:17 from the two and made his way towards Zabuzza, who was almost ready to be killed. In that moment, Haku jumped 25:23 between Zabuzza and Kakashi and was killed. Naruto, who had seen it, approached Zabuzza and in the end 25:30 convinced Zabuzza to betray Gateau and his mission, which led to Zabuza facing off against the mobster and his men by 25:36 himself. In the end, Zabuzza also died, but he managed to take Gateau and a fair 25:42 number of his cronies with him, resulting in the liberation of the land of waves from the control of the crime 25:47 lord. Kakashi would lead the group back to Konoha. impressed with their actions and the way they handled the situation. 25:53 As soon as they got back, Kakashi made the fateful decision that he would allow them to join the tuning exams. It was 25:59 supposed to be a threeman only exam, but Kakashi convinced Hirozen to make an exception for Tinary as he was sure 26:05 Teneri could handle it. And so, Hiazen made the exception for Tener, allowing him as well into the exams. The first 26:12 part of the exams were easy. Daeneri was confident not only in his abilities, but in the fact that he could see pretty 26:19 much everything with his Byakugan. So, he passed that with flying colors. During the forest of death, however, 26:24 things got a little dicey when Arochimaru showed up seeking Sasuke. But while Sasuke and Naruto were out of 26:30 commission, Teneri was able to keep the other Shinobi at bay until the two woke up. From there, the four made their way 26:36 to the center of the forest where the third and final part of the exams would take place. A set of exhibition matches 26:43 to determine who could move on and who would be kicked out. Despite the forest of death being designed to weed out the 26:48 weak from the strong, there were still too many contestants. And so they split the third round into two halves. One 26:54 half that would take place now and another that would take place in a month. During that time, Sasuke would train with Kakashi and Naruto would 27:01 train with Jeriah. But Teneri would train with Hinata Huga. She was still recovering from the brutal beatdown she 27:07 received from Nei, something Tener severely disagreed with, but she was okay with it. And so, Teneri would not 27:13 say anything to rock any boats. He would train with the gentle fist techniques to increase his proficiency. Hinata said 27:19 that she couldn't believe how natural these techniques came to him. She said his tensaon must be truly above anything 27:25 that the Byakugan could have to be capable of learning such techniques so quickly. As the exhibition matches 27:31 returned though, Teneri was pumped up. Sadly, he never got the chance to take his turn as the exhibitions were 27:37 interrupted by the Konoha crush plan Orochi Maru had concocted. Teneri was put to sleep by Kabuto's Temple of 27:43 Nirvana technique just like everyone else and would be awakened by Sakura who would tell him that Naruto and Sasuke 27:50 had gone after Gar to stop him and that they might need help. And so Teneri used his Senjutsu to sense their location. As 27:57 soon as he did though, he sensed a tailed beast. Activating his chakra mode, he took to the skies and blasted 28:02 off toward the location of the battle. When he got there, he saw what looked to be the one tail and nine tales facing 28:08 off against one another. Arriving, he called out to Naruto only to find him in control. It was then that Teneri 28:15 realized it wasn't actually the Ninetales, but Gamabunta covered by a transformation jutsu. Together, Naruto 28:21 and Teneri faced Gar and defeated him. Tenary was about to kill him when Naruto 28:26 stopped. "What do you mean? Didn't he just help attack the village?" Tener asked. Naruto spoke. "I know that he's 28:32 kind of a monster right now, but so am I. I'm the Ninetailes Gingeri. I understand what he's going through. I 28:38 don't want him to die. He has a chance to heal and that's what I want for him. So please, Teneri, I beg you, don't kill 28:44 him. Tener looked at Gar for a moment and then let him go. If you're sure, Naruto. Gar was allowed to escape. 28:51 Returning to the village though, they were informed that the Hokag was dead. Naruto and Jeriah would be sent out to 28:57 find a replacement as Teneri stayed close with the Huga clan, wondering what might come next for his family. Hiashi 29:03 told him not to worry that the village would survive. They merely needed to find a fifth Hokag. And if it fell 29:09 through with Sununade, they'd always be able to just elect a new one from one of the clan heads. Well, it did work out 29:15 with Sununade, but Sasuke was discouraged by an encounter with Itachi, which led to him attempting to flee to 29:21 be trained by Orochimaru in hopes of gaining new power. Word reached Neji, and he prepared to go. Tener stopped 29:27 him, though. "Let me go with you," he said. Nei looked to him. "This is a dangerous mission, Tener. For someone 29:33 who carries the legacy of a whole clan on his back, it's not a place for you to be, he said. Please, Nei. And so Nei 29:40 allowed for him to go, but only if he stayed close by. The two of them raced off after Sasuke as part of the recovery 29:46 squad. As per Nei's request, Teneri stuck with him when he split off to face Keamaru. Together, they stood back to 29:53 back and through their sheer wit and skill, they managed to defeat him. They moved on, looking for the rest of their 29:59 team, helping them defeat their opponents. From there, they raced until they found Naruto unconscious and Sasuke 30:05 out of sight. Tener tried to use Senjutsu to send Sasuke, but he was already out of range. With nothing else 30:12 to be done, they returned to the village with Naruto. As Tener sat in the hospital, he silently prayed for his 30:18 friends. For Naruto and the others who had been hurt. When Sakura showed up, she asked, "Is Sasuke with you?" Tener 30:24 stood and his averted gaze told her everything. Sakura's head lowered. "Thank you," she whispered. But we 30:30 didn't bring him back, Tineri said. Sakura looked up. No, you didn't. But you tried and you brought back all of 30:36 our friends alive, she said. Nei stood there by Toneri. You know what this means, right? He asked. Sasuke will be 30:43 branded a missing nin, and a price will be placed on his head by Konoha. A price for his return, dead or alive. Sakura 30:50 seemed to falter at these words, but maintained her composure. I know, but let's have faith that Sasuke will return 30:56 to us one day, she said. He promised. Nei then spoke. If he does come back, he'll be thrown in prison immediately. 31:02 He should know that there's no way he plans to come back. Teneri then spoke. That's not entirely true. He would be 31:09 branded a traitor if he came back and arrested for desertion. However, if he brings back an olive branch, something 31:15 to get Konoha off his back, say Arochimaru's head, perhaps Itachi's head, double chances. If he brings back 31:21 both, he should receive amnesty from the Hokag. We can and should continue looking for him. But for now, let's 31:27 focus on getting stronger. He may come back all on his own. Ta and Nei would return to the Huga Clan compound where 31:33 he would continue to think about what had happened. As night came about, he sat outside and looked up at the moon 31:39 once more, wondering what his father would do if he were here. Hinata came up beside him and sat down. "Still thinking 31:45 about your dad?" she asked. Tenary shook his head. "Not really. I'm actually thinking more about Sasuke and what my 31:51 dad would do in such a situation. My teammate betrayed the village, he said. Hinata spoke. A lot of the girls are 31:58 broken up about it. I'm not sure what to do other than what I'm already doing, he said. She nodded. It's all we can do. We 32:05 don't know where he went, and we're not strong enough to rescue him, even if we tried. The best we can do is get 32:10 stronger and wait for more information. Tener nodded. I'm just tired of the people I care about going away. Hinata 32:17 pulled him into a hug. It'll be okay, Tener. We'll find him. 32:22 And that's where I want to pause it for now. I hope you enjoyed. I honestly loved writing this. My favorite part was 32:28 exploring the relationship between Tener and his father and Tener trying to get warmed up to life on Earth.
