Hello, welcome to the brand new podcast, Chilling with the Craveners.  I'm Evelyn,  one of the hosts  and.  And I'm Evelyn's mom, Veronica. And I'm also a host.  Yes,  so today I'm going to be interviewing my mom.  I'm just going to be asking you like 27 questions, not too many.  So  question number one. Okay, so we're getting right to it, huh? Okay. What's your favorite color?  Oh, well, you know this. Well, so I actually have two favorite colors,  but I should tell you the story because originally my favorite color it has and it always will be purple. But when you were little,  you told me that  I had two favorite colors and you told me my second favorite color was yellow. And so then that just became my second favorite color. So now I have Well, not my second favorite color, but  one of my two favorite colors. So now my favorite colors are purple and yellow. Well, that already answered two questions. Now I'm just gonna ask your second favorite color. Oh, nice. Okay.  Anyways, question number two.  What's your favorite  animal? My favorite animal? um Well, I think it has to be a dog because we have a dog. I thought you were gonna say a bunny. uh Yeah. I do like bunnies, but I don't know. I think since we have Goldie, so for everyone who's listening, Goldie is our golden retriever. Yes, and I picked out her name, me.  Evelyn did.  And you wanna tell everyone about Goldie? So Goldie is currently eating her fur right now as we're doing this podcast,  but  she is like, Two, she's almost gonna be, she's like two and a half.  She's gonna be three soon, which is crazy. She's still a puppy. She used to be such a fur ball. Her fur gets all over us. It's crazy. um And she loves food. She loves people. She loves belly my gosh, she loves food.  Yeah, she loves playing with other dogs, other animals. She really likes squirrels and bunnies, cause. She used to put baby bunnies in her mouth  and they would squeak and she'd think they were squeaky toys  and then my dad would have to open her mouth to let the baby bunnies run free and then after two weeks they never came back again. It's know, think Goldie scared them off, I know. Yeah, okay, so anyways. Number three, right? I'm ready, yep, number three. Number three, what's your favorite vegetable? Oh, my favorite vegetable. These are good questions. Yeah, kind of simple. I mean, does avocado count as a vegetable? I mean, in our family, it does. Although it grows on a tree, it has a seed. I think it's like technically a fruit, but I think our family would count it. vegetable category that's a fruit, because you know, tomatoes, pumpkins, squash, whatever. Yeah. Some of those, those are vegetable fruits. I know. I think we count an avocado as a vegetable. In our family, yes, the Craven family, I think we do, yeah. So, avocado.  Avocado, sounds good. Yes. Question number four. What's your favorite fruit?  Oh, well you know this. Bananas.  I just imagined that in my head. uh Okay, so  getting into,  okay, so later on, we're gonna get into more random stuff.  So don't be too surprised. This is like the easy question. Like what's your favorite color? What's your favorite animal? Like stuff like that, but then it gets more specific and then more random and then it just ends like that. Okay, so we're gonna get to the more tricky questions later is what you're saying. Well, not tricky, more random and weird and stuff. number five, what's your favorite food?   I think you know this one too. I mean, I think I just have to go with bacon.  I imagine that too. I know you well. So bacon. I like bacon as well.  We don't have it too often though. Question number six.  What's your favorite dessert?  My favorite dessert. Hmm. Let me think about this.  It just depends,  depends.  Because I do really like your s'mores sundae. I mean, that's a classic.  And then I also really like  cheesecake. And I like your cupcakes. The key lime cheesecake was so good. The key lime cheesecake. I also really love, oh gosh, those chocolate chip cookies.  I was imagining that, like, you can't go wrong with the classic chocolate chip cookies.  And now I'm getting really hungry for dessert right now. If we're gonna have desserts anyways. Okay. Question number seven. What's your favorite drink?  I think it would have to be decaf coffee. Decaf coffee or matcha tea. You like matcha I do like matcha tea. Smoothies.  Smoothies. I see. It's hard for me to pick just one thing. Shots.  Yeah, so we should explain. It's basically juice in a jar. Yeah. A little jar.  For one of my Christmas presents, I got a juicer. And so I've been juicing all kinds of fruit and veggies.  And then I put them into little containers,  these little glass containers. And it's just like a small amount of freshly squeezed. I love the juices that you make. It's so good. I love the... Apple just tastes just like apple cider. I love the orange juice. I especially love the orange and grapefruit juice. It's just so good. And I also like the apple carrot ginger. I know you're not a fan of the ginger, but the apple carrot ginger is really good. I'm not really a spice kind of girl. Anyways, does that answer the question to you? I think so. think so. Question number eight. What's your favorite Bird. Favorite bird.  I think,  I think a cardinal. I'm gonna go with the cardinal. I thought you were going to say like a peacock or a cardinal.  Oh, the peacock is more interesting. Peacocks are so  elegant.  They are. Yes. That's a big word. I'm impressed. You must have know my vocabulary. Was that one of your spelling words that you studied?  No, it was actually one of my  vocabulary words.  Ah, nice. From like a long time ago.  But anyways, question number nine.  What's your favorite hobby? Like for example, jobs, things to do,  stuff like that.  can be podcasting, because I know that your job is podcasting and you work from home. okay, so basically explain the story on why we are doing this, please. oh Oh,  okay. last week, you were off school the whole week. The whole week, it was amazing. was the most snow days I've ever had in a row. I mean, like I told you, I never had a whole week off of school for weather. So we got about a foot of snow in Columbus, Ohio, and Evelyn was off school the whole week. So since I work from home, Evelyn was able to see me work. And so I work for a podcast production company as a creative director. And so Evelyn was able to occasionally see the things I was working on and it has inspired her to start her own podcast. a little too much. I got a little bit distracted from doing some of my schoolwork.  And I also gazed off and looked at gold. He looked outside at all the gorgeous sparkly snow and it was,  yeah, very distracting.  But it inspired you to start this podcast, right? So we've been like working on stuff today and you came up with the name and you did the cover art. Yes, I just love chilling and I drew the um logo or like cover design for this podcast on Procreate. And it really is such a great app. I really recommend that you download it. It's only like 13 bucks. It's really great. It's really cool.  they are not. currently a sponsor of this podcast.  We're just talking about it because Evelyn loves it. I know, yes, but I hope. So,  yeah, I think it looks really cool. And yeah,  I drew it myself with some feedback from you because you were. because you initially  didn't like the way that I drew the mouth on you.  And I changed it to make it the way that  I drew it on mine,  on my face. So, yes.  I love your drawings because they look so happy. Yes, um I'm like  99.9 % drawing happy people because I just like to and it's fun. That's cool. Anyways, what question are we on?  Oh yes. Favorite hobby. But. Oh, my favorite hobby. OK, yeah. I think I think my new favorite hobby is going to be doing this podcast with you. Yeah, this is so fun. mean, I love doing art. Oh, yeah. You can tell by the cover. But I just really I was just like, OK, back to the story. So I was just really I just really liked watching mom doing the work. She's saying all kinds of messages. She was she was like, And the graphic designs look really cool. And you just gave feedback and I just like watching you going on calls and I think your job's really cool. And I think I get the more creative side from you and dad because dad's been a lawyer for like a very long time. And then you were a lawyer as well, but then you like went to like the creative stuff. And yeah, you haven't. practice in like a few years, you've been doing all this podcasting, it's really cool. You were doing the voice acting for one podcast and I thought it was super cool. Yeah, it was super cool. Yeah. It was very cool. Well, cool. I'm glad it was kind of like an impromptu take your daughter to work day, but it was cool because I think it's inspired you to start this podcast and I know you're all excited about like different cool creative careers. Yeah. Yeah. So I think that answers this question anyways. em Question number 10. What's your favorite meal of the day? Breakfast, brunch, lunch,  lunch. dinner. lunch and dinner, lunch,  whatever. Desserts,  I cast as one.  Snacks, any of those options.  Just like the main ones, breakfast,  lunch. dinner, snack, no not snack, dessert. Yeah.  Well, I know what your favorite one is.  I will say. Obviously dessert. I know dessert. I think mine, I really like a good brunch. Like a weekend brunch.  I thought you were gonna say breakfast. Well,  I guess I like a brunch cause it's like, think more like breakfast, think of more kind of quick things to go  like oatmeal or like a banana. But when I think of brunch, I think of like eggs and pancakes and bacon. Okay, well you have all that for breakfast too if it's a weekend. Yeah, that's true, that's true. But, so brunch. Brunch. Brunch. Okay, question number 11. I like these long conversations. We should do this. We should, this'll be our new thing. while. Okay. As in right now. Anyways. I get more of the comedian side from dad. dad is always like joking around and he's always being super funny. And I don't know, he's just saying things and it's making mom and I laugh. For me I should say, don't know, the correct grammar. But I don't really care about grammar right now. It's the weekend. yeah. Anyways, question number 11, right? Okay, I think we're on 11. Have you ever made a full podcast before, like by yourself and stuff? Like  every like, I don't know, stuff like that. Like I did everything by myself? Well not like completely everything, like maybe other people did edits, but like you did like all the talking.  Oh yeah, yeah.  I, let's see,  I have hosted,  so. before co-hosting your podcast. I have- Yes, I am the main host. It was my idea. You are the star of this show. Well, yes, but also you. You're like the co-star slash co-host and I'm the host slash star. Yeah. And like, yeah, I don't know. I just got the idea from your work and I just wanted to do it as You take the lead. This is totally your show. So yes, I have hosted three other podcasts before co-hosting this one. Well, this is brand new. I know, I know. Do you want me to add more to that? Okay, what do want me to add? Whatever other information you got. So, So let's see the very first one. Well, so you don't wait like a long time ago, I used to be a mediator. So the first two podcasts. You did? I did. I don't remember. It's okay. You were little. You were little. For the first two podcasts I hosted. I'm getting old.  We're about mediation.  then the so they were interview podcasts. So they were kind of like this. Kind of like this. Yeah. Because I'm interviewing you  in this podcast series. Yeah. Yeah. So the only difference with those first two podcasts is that each episode I had a new guest versus I think what we're going to do here is you and I are just going to sit and talk each time. Yeah, although I shall interview my dad. Well, yeah, we got a special episode because he'll be special guests sometimes. Spoiler alert. Yeah. You don't mind. Yeah.  So, yeah. And then the third one I tried, I didn't stick with it very long because it was very hard. I did what's called a solo podcast where it was just me talking  and it was very hard. I have a hard time just talking to myself. It's much easier to talk to someone else. like to talk to other people too. Yeah. So,  mean, sure, I could talk to myself,  but like with like no one else. But I feel like it's easier for a conversation with multiple people. Oh, yeah. Like at least one other person like you and the show, for example. Yeah.  Well, it's kind of hard. I always think it's kind of hard to talk to just yourself like.  It's just it feels more natural to talk to someone else, right? It's just kind of like having a conversation at the dinner table. And actually, we are recording at our dinner table right now. Yes, exactly.  But I mean, I do YouTube videos and I do voiceovers  with this exact microphone that I'm speaking into and headphones. no one else does the voiceovers with me.  And. I don't know, I just kind of bring up a conversation that I feel like it's easy to do for myself.  But this I feel like is more entertaining. Because like, we're talking to each other in this conversation. Anyways. that answers number 11 I guess. Yeah, I think so.  Okay, question  number 12.  Are you a fan of the anime art style? Well, yeah, I mean, you love to draw anime all the time. My art style is like anime-ish, cartoonish, because like you really like cartoons and I like cartoons and it's just really fun to draw. It's simple and easy in my opinion. I just go with the flow. Yeah, very cool. So yes. Anyways, 14. Okay, 14. We're on 14, right? I think so. Yes, okay. I lose and try. If not, we can just say we are. Whatever, just say we are. 14. Oh, you're right, you already answered that one. Because you answered it in like two questions, so I guess we're gonna be having about 26 questions. Okay, no biggie. Anyways, 14. What's your favorite cake flavor? Like cupcake flavor, cake flavor, stuff like that. Cupcakes, and it's gotta be your... chocolate cupcakes that you make. You've become quite- I'm bake them soon. I'm gonna bake them tomorrow. You've become quite the baker over the last couple years. Yes, I can't wait for your chocolate cupcakes tomorrow. Yes. And it's gonna have white and pink frosting and it's gonna be swirled and it's gonna look really cool because it's like Valentine's Day theme dish. Yeah, anyways, so. 15, right? I'm losing track. You answered two questions in one. But 15. What's your favorite breakfast food? And I think I already know the answer. Maybe. think bacon. I thought you were going to say that. know you too well. Yeah. You can't go wrong with bacon. mean, it's just. Yeah. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. know? Anyways. 16. 16. Okay, I'm getting confused. What's your second favorite animal? My second favorite animal. And I don't care if these questions are mixed up and supposed to be in together categories, but it's just a conversation. Anyways, second favorite animal. I guess I would have to go with an axolotl because we have Barney. You were going to say bunnies. Are those like your third? I guess it's my third. I mean, when I was your age, I really liked bunnies. But you know, now that we've got like our two pet family members, you know, a dog and an axolotl, I think those have become my favorite animals. Yeah. So bunnies would be your third. Bunnies would be third. OK. Seventeen. Wait, I think we're on 17. Yeah, 17. I'm just going to have to do, I don't know, 18 subtract one. no. Yeah, 17. Okay, now we're getting to like the would you rather questions. Oh, okay, these are always good ones. you rather have bananas or a green smoothie? Oh, I would say, I mean, probably a green smoothie because you know I need my greens. So I thought you're going to pick bananas. Well, actually, I'm kind of here's a secret to it. In my green smoothies, I put bananas. So if I have a You haven't had those lately. I get my greens and I get a banana. So  I think I'll go with that. The green smoothie. Man, I should have thought of something else.  I forgot about that. It you haven't had one in like forever. Because I've been doing a lot of juicing.  That sounds funny.  Anyways,  19, would you rather have a fresh warm brownie with vanilla ice cream? or reheated chocolate chip cookie with vanilla bean ice cream.  Oh, this is so hard. No, not a brownie with vanilla bean ice cream. Did I say vanilla bean? Yeah, yeah. don't know. Vanilla. Oh, just vanilla. beans. Okay, okay, okay. Well, you know how much I like vanilla beans, so I  think that's the difference maker. I think I'm gonna have to go with a- But you see the fresh difference. I know, the fresh difference, but at least- The brownies I made most recently, when I heated them up, they were like too mushy. I know, but like after it was like so good. Anyways, bean brownies are good. They are good. Your dad makes some good bean brownies.  Oh, dad made them? Yeah, yeah. I didn't know that. I can't take credit for it. That was his recipe. think I made his recipe one time, but he's the one who has really perfected that recipe. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And your granola bars are super good. They are good. It's only like... three ingredients, isn't it like, um no, like four. It's just oh mushed up bananas  with oats, peanut butter, and then chocolate chips, and then you just make it into like, and you put it in like a pan or whatever,  and you bake it,  or cook it or whatever, and it's like so good.  People with peanut allergies do not have this. You might get an allergic reaction and go to the ER. That's a good. not eat it. Warning, it has peanut butter. That's a good disclaimer, Evelyn. Yeah. And for the, for the granola bars. the granola bars. of which, you need to make your granola soon. I do. Cause I, cause it's like so good. And milk. I can't take credit for the recipe for the granola bars. It's a recipe I found online, but it's super simple. I know. I always find a recipe online. But. I will say you're really good at just making up recipes on the spot. Like you will make up your own recipes and just come up with something.  And I think that's a really cool creative outlet. That's what I did like a year and a half ago, but okay.  know, I know,  know.  You're very creative. I like how you do all that stuff. Okay,  so. I think we're on Yes. um Wait, yeah, so you said the brownie with vanilla ice cream or was it? Oh, so I said the- vanilla bean, so you wanted the reheated cookie. The reheated cookie with a vanilla bean, yes. Because the vanilla bean makes the difference. I like vanilla bean ice cream a lot better than just regular vanilla. Okay, so now we are currently on 19. Oh my gosh. was about to say 20, but would you rather have a- chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting or a vanilla cupcake with cream cheese frosting, but it has rainbow sprinkles on top.  Cause I wouldn't know if you wanted sprinkles or not, but I know if you want chocolate frosting on top. So are you taking my order for tomorrow for when you make cupcakes? No, I'm still making what I'm making. um Like I said earlier, you might have to rewind. Rewind and come back. I'll come back when I edit this. I'll come back to it. um I will say your chocolate cupcakes with the chocolate icing. Yeah. I'd pick Okay, I wasn't sure. I tried to give you a hard one. 20. Would you rather have freshly squeezed orange juice or a berry smoothie? Oh, I think freshly squeezed orange juice. Yeah. I thought you were gonna pick that, but I wasn't completely sure. Yeah, it's good. Yeah, that's my choice. Okay. 21. Would you rather have red velvet cake or my blue velvet cupcakes? Oh, well, okay. cake is not baked by me, but I know you love red velvet. That was going to be my next question is, are you the one making the red velvet? Okay. So since you're not making the red velvet, I'm going to go with your blue velvet cupcakes. Yes. I decided blue dye instead of red dye and a chocolate cupcake recipe. So. Yar. 22. What's your favorite board game? And no, a card game, a board game. Board game. Oh, easy. Monopoly. I thought you were going to say that. Monopoly. 23. Who's your favorite singer? OK, so this is a hard one. Hard? Well, yeah, because it like it depends on my mood. It depends on your mood. thought you're always in the mood for you know who. And then it has has depended throughout like just different ages. Really? Yeah. So like right now. As of right now. Oh, okay. Well, right now I would say. this is like a right now interview. Yeah. So right now, well, I mean, You and I right now are really into listening to Michael Jackson. Yes, Michael Jackson. I was gonna say the other one we like is Amish Paradise, right? Or do you like that one? I like that one. You like that one? It's good. Yeah, it's a good one. Okay, wait. Which one are you on now? 25? No, 24? Well, if we skipped one, I think we'd probably be on 23. No, we just did 23. Oh, okay. 24. Okay, 24. Do you like slime? Well, yeah. Like sticky slime. Okay, I like not the super sticky slime. I'm more of a fan of your cloud slime where it's like, it's very, as you would say, it's very satisfying. Yes, I do say that. It's kind of soft, but it doesn't stick to your hands too much. I think- slime. Is that the one I'm thinking of? I'm thinking more of butter slime then. than cloud slime. I I kinda confuse them. do, I do. There's so many different types. And you know, when I was a kid, we didn't have all these different types. You just had Nickelodeon slime poured onto people's faces. So yeah, 25. 25, is this the last one? Nope. Nope. Don't worry. I'm going to make up more on the spot. 25. Okay, 25. What's your favorite season? uh I would say spring. Cause it's nice.  The flowers are starting to bloom. thought you were going to say summer because of my birthday and you like the warmness cause you're always cold  or winter because of your birthday.  Well, I do.  I do. I do like all those times too. But I guess when I think of the seasons, I think more, I think more of the weather and I don't know. Spring always just feels like it's so full of hope. because it's like a new beginning, the flowers are starting That's it feels like to you. just feel like flowers and pollen and stuff like that. question 26. um What's your favorite ice cream sundae?  Oh, well, mean, like hands down, it's the one that you did, the s'mores one.  What did you call it? was like super s'mores galore. I knew you had a name for it. Yeah. S'mores galore.  Okay, anyways,  next question. What's your favorite movie currently?  Zombies. We're gonna say Star Wars, because we've been watching the series. We have been, but see, I've been falling asleep as we've been watching Star Wars, so I kind of only halfway know what's going on. Yeah, that's I was gonna say. But I would say, speaking of Star Wars, I think... I think we should probably wrap up this first episode just so that we've got time to watch Star Wars. What do you think? Yeah. Yeah. Okay.
