0:00 in July of 2012 theatergoers excitedly waited for the opening show of Batman 0:05 The Dark Knight Rises and adults and children alike were dressed head to toe in Cosplay nothing seemed a Miss as the 0:12 movie began but only 20 minutes into their Adventure chaos erupted when one of those viewers arrived armed to the 0:19 teeth with firearms and ammunition and tragically he would show no mercy to his 0:26 audience the results were catastrophic killing dozens and injuring dozens more 0:32 but who was their killer what was his motive and how did his terrible history lead him down this path it is great to 0:38 see you again folks and you probably know where you are by now my name is Adrien and you've stepped into the coffee house of crime and I will tell 0:45 you this story before I serve you coffee just a reminder that in light of terrible tragedies like this one this 0:51 video serves as a documentary to better understand how such events occur and not to glorify the deplorable actions of a 0:57 killer and by the way I post up to four times times a week here two long form videos and two shorts so if you like 1:03 Darkly fascinating stories please consider subscribing and now with that said please grab yourself a coffee pull 1:08 up a seat and get ready for the Deep dive this is the case of James 1:13 [Music] 1:20 Holmes Although our case today doesn't occur in San Diego James's Story begins San Diego 1:25 here and so on that note welcome to America's Finest City folks that's a 1:31 nickname by the way not my opinion as many of you know San Diego is a vibrant 1:36 coastal city located in the southern part of California known for its mild climate beautiful beaches and cultural 1:43 diversity San Diego is a popular tourist destination and a very desirable place 1:48 to live the city is home to several notable attractions including Balboa Park which houses museums Gardens and 1:56 the world-renowned San Diego Zoo the historic Gas Lamp quarter offers a lively downtown experience with a mix of 2:03 restaurants shops and entertainment venues San Diego is also a central hub 2:09 for the US Navy hosting a significant Naval presence here with a strong emphasis on outdoor activities a 2:15 thriving craft beer scene and a laid-back Southern California atmosphere it is no surprise that San Diego 2:22 attracts people worldwide for both Leisure and business moving into the focal person in The troubling life of James Holmes 2:28 our case today James was lucky enough to be welcomed into a prosperous family here in San Diego born on December the 2:35 13th 1987 his parents were Professionals in the academic and medical Industries 2:42 his childhood was very comfortable to say the least and he enjoyed a middle to upper class lifestyle in one of 2:48 America's most beautiful cities his father Robert was the academic a mathematician and a scientist at heart 2:55 he was renowned for his repertoire of high level degrees with Ed education from various prestigious universities 3:02 such as Stanford UCLA and UC Berkeley Robert was an intellectual through and 3:08 through and was something he hoped to pass down to his son as for his mother arene was a medical practitioner she 3:15 took pride in her occupation as a registered nurse and just like her husband was known to be quick thinking 3:21 methodical and thorough in her work due to his parents success James lived in a 3:26 comfortable home in the oak kills community of Monteray now this is a lovely part of California and is very 3:32 close to the ocean and so as a child James was very lucky to be living here 3:37 and on top of that he was known to be remarkably bright and had many friends at school interested in anything 3:44 involving technology James formed a close group of friends in early Elementary School and throughout the 3:50 years was often seen tinkering around on projects with them James would even go as far to learn basic programming as a 3:57 child and before the age of 12 had even created a web page for his class at 4:02 school although James was known to be shy he trusted people he was close to he 4:07 was very sweet towards his younger sister and both his friends parents and teachers alike were impressed by his 4:13 maturity and intelligence to add to this teachers noticed his unusually bright 4:18 disposition and were rather pleased to have him in their classes I mean he was awkward sure but he was not entirely 4:26 reserved and to add to that he would consistently demonstrate a deep understanding of the subject before 4:33 anyone else did in his class you could even say that despite the socially awkward Tendencies he was a model 4:39 student to most teachers but the bright and prosperous start for James was sadly 4:45 all about to change because as soon as he hit puberty he began to suffer from various mental health conditions he 4:51 started to see what he described as nail ghosts at night hammering into the walls 4:56 he also told his parents that he saw visions of bombs exploding exping and fires burning buildings to the ground 5:02 now of course this was extremely traumatic for a child his age and unable to comprehend what exactly he was seeing 5:09 or dealing with he began to socially isolate from family and friends and tragically as his condition worsened it 5:16 even got to the point where at the age of 11 he tried to take his own life despite their love and care and nurture 5:22 his parents were not really the type to talk about feelings both having backgrounds in medicine and science they 5:29 were more interested in talking about the Practical steps forward 5:36 [Music] Instead at the age of 12 James and his 5:41 family moved back to San Diego and this marked a significant turning point in his life I mean any move is a big deal 5:48 for a young teenager but this was especially hard for James he already had 5:54 difficulty socializing and now that all of his friends had been Stripped Away he regressed even further in the 6:00 neighborhood of Rancho penasquito the local boys who had already been living together for multiple years were less 6:06 than friendly towards James sadly he was unable to assimilate into this neighborhood or the local school as a 6:13 matter of fact and as a result he became completely isolated like many kids James 6:19 turned towards video games to escape reality he was especially fond of real-time strategy games such as 6:25 Warcraft 3 and as soon as James would return home from school he would fire up his PC and play late into the night now 6:33 of course his parents noticed this and understandably they were not too pleased 6:39 it was at this moment that his mother took things into her own hands doing so by going door too and asking other 6:45 parents if their children would be willing to spend time with their son but sadly despite the effort all of this 6:51 would be futile James's inability to socialize made it almost impossible for the other children to feel comfortable 6:58 around him as James Jes moved into his teenage years his life continued to revolve around this video game in fact 7:05 his highly capable mind and his aptitude for strategy got him to the point where he was one of the best players on his 7:12 North American server he played for many hours a day even if he could not take pride in his social life he was at least 7:19 proud of his accomplishments in this game progressing through High School James was determined to try out for the 7:25 sports teams at his school at a height of more than 6 feet but quite lean James was not the strongest or the fastest in 7:32 his class but did have a naturally athletic build and so by the age of 16 7:37 and with a little bit of luck he was playing football and running cross country with his classmates now despite 7:44 performing well in sports his social awkwardness would remain actually the cross country team coach reported that 7:50 when it was time to take team photos for the year James couldn't even stand close to his teammates and actually ruined the 7:57 picture while these social issues weighed him down he continued to excel academically and by the Year 2006 he had 8:05 graduated with his high school diploma in hand and ready to take on College James enrolled at the University of 8:12 California Riverside it was during this time that he worked as a counselor at a summer camp his supervisor noted that he 8:19 was not an easy person to work with and described him as stubborn uncommunicative and socially Ina at 8:26 University the students around him also found his behavior to be strange he never went out of his way to socialize 8:33 and although he was never outright offensive people could not find a reason to want to interact with 8:46 him in the Autumn of 2010 James worked at a capsule coating Factory found in San Diego County and while here one of 8:53 his colleagues recounted him as being one of the most reclusive people he'd ever met in his life that opinion kind 8:58 of makes sense as well because James was often seen staring at the walls for minutes at a time and would barely ever 9:05 respond to questions or prompts by colleagues despite this James would eventually graduate with a bachelor's of 9:10 Neuroscience in the year 2010 and after this he decided to pursue a PhD in neuroscience at the University of 9:16 Colorado which of course can be found in Aurora living on Paris Street James moved into a one-bedroom studio 9:22 apartment but he wasn't actually a fan of being alone anymore and so in the process signed up to several dating 9:28 websites without any social interaction for such a long time he was desperate for some 9:34 much needed affection again though he had no idea how to talk to women to 9:39 compensate for his lack of Riz he would frequently hire sex workers and to make matters even worse he would leave 9:45 reviews of them on forchan miraculously James caught a break in October of 2011 9:50 when he met a girl from his biology class she found him to be mysteriously intelligent and especially liked his wit 9:58 and so with both of these things in mind she wanted to get to know him better soon after this the two went on a first 10:04 date at a local horror movie film festival something important to note here but James was obsessed with movies 10:12 especially if they had an anti-hero typically Guided by the best intentions 10:17 but often with a flawed character with a history of bad decisions and questionable morals now James related 10:25 heavily to these characters and would often see himself in his favorite anti-hero on the big screen as James and 10:32 his girlfriend continued to date she became more and more aware of his strange social behavior he would 10:38 sometimes make flat controversial jokes that left people feeling awkward and with him being so introverted she would 10:46 often struggle to introduce him to both her family and her friends despite these setbacks the two enjoyed a somewhat 10:52 normal relationship they studied together loved to watch Saturday Night Live ate at their favorite Ethiopian 10:58 restaur restaurant and would even share Slurpees from the local convenience store but all good things come to an end 11:05 and sadly these two didn't last very long the two broke up at the end of 2011 11:10 and although they resumed the relationship briefly at the beginning of the new year it ended shortly after in 11:16 February 2012 after the breakup James sought help at the student health clinic for his worsening mental health and over Psychological Downfall 11:23 the next 3 months was seen a total of seven times by Dr fanton sadly the 11:29 demons in his mind never left him alone James claimed that whenever he tried to sleep he would see shadows and flickers 11:36 in the corner of his eyes and these shapes resembled fighting each other with Firearms his complete lack of 11:42 emotion caught Dr Fenton off guard especially when he described the violent imagery to her becoming so alarmed by 11:50 this she would even call on her supervisor to sit in on these sessions and help give insight into James's case 11:57 but despite Dr Fenton and her ass associate trying to help James he would continuously refuse their treatment 12:03 plans opting to take only mild doses of medication 12:08 instead it was noted that James had social phobias displayed a lack of emotions and had psychotic Tendencies 12:15 and Dr Fenton believed that he may have schizoid personality disorder Not only would James talk about his fascination 12:21 with mass killings but he would even go on to admit his own vague plans to execute one himself which was extremely 12:28 concerning information to know now despite the Student Health Center offering to treat him even if his insurance didn't cover the costs James 12:35 would actually reject their help and after the seventh session left therapy alt together it is worth highlighting 12:41 here that Dr Fenton was deeply worried about James and she knew that he had serious potential to cause severe harm 12:47 to others however what is more important to highlight here is that she was not allowed to intervene or contact law 12:53 enforcement because James never mentioned hurting anyone specifically it's one of those weird mental health 12:59 laws where she knew that James was a serious risk but could do nothing about it and I'm sure Dr Fenton was absolutely 13:06 frustrated by this going against his wishes Dr Fenton would eventually speak 13:11 to his mother she told Dr Fenton about his long standing mental health issues since childhood however what she failed 13:19 to tell her was the history of mental illness running in both sides of the family as it turns out James had 13:25 multiple family members who had suffered from both schizophrenia and psychotic breaks this information would have been 13:32 pertinent for Dr Fenton to know while James was her client but now that he had left her it was sadly all too late 13:40 during this time frame James's academic performance also began to suffer it appeared as if he had stopped caring 13:46 about his school work and unknown to him at the time but behind the scenes the 13:52 University was getting ready to expel him but James would actually beat them 13:57 to it and would leave before before they could even push him out sadly though his 14:02 academic performance was not the only thing to be rapidly declining drowning in depression loneliness and dysphoric 14:09 mania he was left with nobody to turn to and with no job and no degree to work 14:15 towards he was left to his own devices ruminating with his dark thoughts inside 14:20 of his one bedroom flat and as each day passed by he fell into a darker place 14:26 than the day he had been in before 14:31 it was at this time in late spring that James began to plan to act on these darkened Twisted thoughts that he'd had 14:38 in his mind for so long in the last week of May he purchased himself two weapons a Glock 22 pistol and a Remington 870 14:46 shotgun and on June the 7th just hours after failing a University exam he bought himself a third fire arm a Smith 14:53 and Wesson M&P15 assault rifle by July he had amassed thousands of rounds of 14:58 ammunition magazine holders knives an assault vest a gas mask and gas bombs 15:05 shortly after this on July the 19th he sent Dr Fenton a package inside this 15:10 package was his notebook and inside the notebook was his dark and evil thoughts and plans that he'd made in the weeks 15:16 prior but tragically this notebook never made it to Dr Fenton it was found 15:22 undelivered in the Medical Campus room several days later and had this package been delivered in time this story 15:28 they've ended much differently now I'd like to talk about this book for a while because these Pages show The Morbid James' Diary (Pt 1 of 2) 15:35 underbelly of James holes early on in this notebook he asks himself what is 15:40 the meaning of life and what is the meaning of death later on on page 27 he 15:46 clarified that he believed he had a uniquely mad mind and in the bottom left corner of this same page he further 15:53 writes that a murderer's value equals the number dad on page 29 James claims 15:58 that life's fallback solution to all problems is death he also says I have spent my whole life seeking this 16:05 alternative to violence suggesting that he knows the difference between good and evil morals and even dislikes violence 16:12 itself on page 31 he asks himself why should life exist and what is the 16:18 purpose of living He further diagnoses himself with a broken mind citing dysphoric mania generalized anxiety 16:25 schizophrenia narcissism and psychosis say it is here that we get to step into his own vulnerable mind he talks about 16:33 developing Catatonia a state in which someone is awake but does not seem to respond to other people and their 16:39 environment he also talks about isolation and brief periods of invincibility where all of his actions 16:46 feel like they are in hypers speed he then talks about fleeting movements in his peripheral vision likely talking 16:52 about the figures that he used to see at night kind of glossing over this detail but he then also talks about his shaft 17:00 but let's keep that one out of this video James also goes into concepts of Life religion the butterfly effect and 17:07 much much more you can see that throughout all of these ramblings he is struggling to make sense of what life 17:13 really is and he ends all of this theoretical revision by writing why 17:18 246 times there is more to talk about in this book but we'll come back to this again in a 17:26 while it was on that night that James loaded up his equipment and drove to the local Century 16 Multiplex movie theater July 20th 2012... 17:34 in Aurora Colorado it was the premier weekend to the highly anticipated The 17:39 Dark Knight Rises and the theater was sure to be full seen on surveillance 17:44 cameras with dyed hair James blended into the crowd as he entered the busy movie theater he can be seen purchasing 17:51 his ticket to the midnight viewing no one took notice of him the theater was packed after all with an estimated 400 17:59 people crammed into one room all excited to catch the first viewing of this movie 18:04 James was sat in the front row of this movie theater and watched all of the previews before the movie began it was 18:11 20 minutes into the film that he got up from his seat and exited the theater from the emergency exit beside the movie 18:18 screen James had planned this attack for quite some time he knew that this door 18:23 had Direct access to the parking lot outside he propped the door open slightly with a plastic tablecloth 18:30 holder to ensure that he could re-enter afterwards he then went out to his car conveniently parked nearby and changed 18:37 into his tactical clothing Dawning all black a gas mask vest a ballistic helmet 18:43 a bullet resistant throat protector leggings and a groin protector those who could initially see him were unsure what 18:50 they were looking at some believed he was dressed in Cosplay like many other fans here in the theater others thought 18:57 that perhaps he was part of a publicity stunt set up by theater management but 19:02 no one was prepared for what he was about to do next as James turned to face the crowd techno music blured in his 19:10 earphones tuning out everything except for the pounding base of his music 19:15 throwing a tear gas grenade to the left side of the theater James then unloaded the shells in his shotgun pointing first 19:22 at the ceiling then at the back row of movie goers as those first shots rang 19:27 out chaos filled the room blinded by the gas and unable to see or hear a massive 19:33 theaterwide Panic broke out throwing his empty shotgun to the side James then 19:39 withdrew his Smith and Wesson assault rifle and Unleashed a barriage of bullets into the aisles from a modified 19:45 100 round magazine after 65 shots the gun then malfunctioned at which point 19:51 James took out his hand gun and fired again losing five more rounds into the crowd bullets flew through the theater 19:58 and the air was thick with gas and the sound of Screams patrons were diving for cover in the aisles or sprinting towards 20:05 the exit trying to escape from the ensuing Carnage and those in the middle seats of the aisles were stuck as bodies 20:12 collapsed around them in the end a total of 76 shots were fired six from the 20:18 shotgun 65 from the assault rifle and five from the handgun the first of many 20:24 emergency services calls began at 12:39 a.m. due to all of the noise operators 20:29 could not initially make out what was going on voices were unintelligible over the gunshots screams and movie blaring 20:37 in the background but eventually that nightmare became understood as the 20:42 situation became clear police were immediately dispatched to the scene First Responders arrived only 90 seconds Aftermath and Rememberance 20:49 after the first gunshot rang out and when they arrived they witnessed a scene filled with complete 20:55 Mayhem we got another person out shot in the leg of female I got people running 21:01 out of the theater they shot in room n get us some damn gas Mas for theat 9 we 21:07 can't get in it 16 Adam I need a marked core behind the theater stable side the 21:13 suspect in a gas mask 16 I got seven down in9 seven 21:23 [Music] down 21:28 suspect is going to be a male unknown race black camo out type outfit I 21:33 believe to be wearing a vest gas mask and M long gun officers entered the crowded movie theater which was packed 21:40 full of panicking civilians due to the chaos and congestion in the parking lot 21:45 ambulances struggled to park close by and with the Rampage over James took advantage of this confusion and returned 21:52 to his car which was parked out back initially mistaken as a member of 21:58 law enforcement due to his tactical equipment he was ignored for a while until being arrested later at 12:45 22:04 moments later he was taken away in the back of a police vehicle weaving its way through flashing lights and the sounds 22:11 of the Wounded but unfortunately James was not done yet because following his 22:16 arrest he motionlessly told officers that he'd left multiple booby traps back at home in his apartment the traps were 22:23 quite elaborate actually and required not just that building but all buildings around it to be evacuated entirely and 22:30 on top of that they needed a robot to disarm those bombs inside officers found 22:35 over 30 handmade grenades and more than 100 lers of gasoline it also appeared as 22:41 if James had tried to lure his neighbors into his apartment too leaving deafening 22:46 music on before leaving for the theater one of those neighbors went as far to approach the door but then left without 22:53 opening it potentially saving her life as well as many others in the building sadly though the same couldn't be said 23:00 for his actions back at the cinema James Holmes had murdered 12 people with a further 70 injured from the attack the 23:07 town of Aurora was left reeling in pain sadness and anger Jonathan blun served 23:12 for 5 years in the US Navy he died shielding a friend from gunfire Jesse 23:18 Chris was an Air Force reservist on active duty when he was murdered Jessica 23:23 gowi was an aspiring sports reporter John larer was a pet officer in the Navy 23:29 and Veronica Sullivan was only 6 years old the others murdered in this attack 23:35 include alexanda Bock Gordon Cowden Matthew mcquinn Michaela medek Alex 23:41 Sullivan Alex TZ and Rebecca Wingo 12 lives were lost at the terrible hands of 23:47 a cold-hearted and methodical killer the families and friends of these victims would have their time to grieve but for 23:55 now all eyes were on James on July the 23rd James made his first appearance in 24:01 court he was given no chance for bail due to the degree of Destruction caused by his crimes and in front of the judge 24:08 he was expressionless looking dazed and unsure of where he was on July the 30th 24:14 prosecutors filed for formal charges against him these included 24 counts of 24:19 first-degree murder 116 counts of attempted first deegree murder and one 24:24 count of illegal possession of explosives to help the prosecutors obtain convictions two charges were 24:31 filed for each victim moving into the legal proceedings of this case one key issue for the court was determining 24:38 whether or not James was fit to stand trial on August the 9th his defense team argued that due to the nature of his 24:45 history of mental illness the trial needed to be postponed so he could be psychologically evaluated although the 24:52 notebook detailing his plans for the massacre was eventually found the judge ruled that since the The Physician 24:58 patient privilege covered it it was considered to be inadmissible evidence in January of the following year James 25:05 finally returned to court numerous pieces of evidence were shown 911 calls 25:10 were played out and videos of The Killing Spree were presented and examined 3 Days Later despite push back 25:16 from his defense team the judge ruled that the presented evidence was enough for James to face trial and with the 25:22 trial set to begin in February of 2014 the prosecution team announced that they would plan to seek the death penalty in 25:30 response to this the defense team filed their intentions to plead not guilty by reason of insanity the defense and 25:36 prosecution teams would have almost 2 years to build their case but in April of 2015 almost 3 years after the murders 25:44 his trial finally began the prosecution claimed that James was entirely sane for the attack evidenced by his meticulous 25:51 planning and execution but the defense team countered this claiming he had suffered a psychotic episode during his James' Diary (Pt 2 of 2) 25:58 trial an FBI agent displayed his weapons ammunition body armor and helmet which contained strands of his dyed hair by 26:05 now the notebook undelivered to Dr Fenton had been sent into evidence and inside this notebook the pages were 26:12 extremely damning showing evidence that he had a Fascination to kill for almost a 26:18 decade resuming his book James began his plan of attack on page 46 I'm not sure 26:24 how much I can add into this video but in short he planned for his victims to be random theorizes between an airport 26:31 or a movie theater and then selects a theater room itself on page 36 he wrote 26:37 I tried to fix it indicating that he had tried to fix his mental health conditions and dark thoughts in the past 26:43 on page 53 he references an intense aversion to people which he believes was due to his own anxiety and fear of 26:50 people itself however once that anxiety was relieved he realized that his hatred 26:56 remained on P page 54 he wrote I Was Fear incarnate Love Gone motivation 27:02 directed to hate and obsessions which didn't disappear no consequence no fear 27:08 alone isolated no work for distractions no reason to seek 27:13 self-actualization embrace the hatred a Dark Knight Rises you can tell from this 27:18 excerpt that James had finally made his decision to act on his feelings and twisted plans and tragically the 27:26 consequences to this real I ization would be grave a court appointed psychiatrist Legal Proceedings 27:32 utilized this evidence claiming that although he was mentally ill and suffered from a skitso effective 27:38 personality disorder he was entirely sane for the attack by June the 14th both the prosecution and the defense 27:44 teams had rested their cases and now it was all up to the jury to determine whether James Holmes was guilty or not 27:51 the jury would deliberate for more than 12 hours straight however in the end 27:57 they found James to be guilty of all 24 counts of first-degree murder guilty of 28:03 140 counts of attempted first degree murder and guilty of one count of 28:08 possessing explosives following the verdict James's family took to the stand with his son's life on the line his 28:15 father begged the judge to spare the death penalty showing childhood photos of camping trips family vacations and 28:22 times when James seemed to be happy and of sound mind the defense team also appealed to the jurors urging them to 28:29 consider mental illness in their sentencing despite the plea for Insanity being rejected in the end James was 28:35 sentenced to 12 consecutive life sentences with an additional 3,318 years without parole and despite 28:43 many jurors agreeing the death penalty was in order the unanimous decision required to do so was unable to be 28:50 reached and so with that said James Holmes had his life spared I want to 28:55 make it clear that it is the Court's intention that the defendant never set 29:01 foot in free Society again the intention of my sentences is that he spent every 29:08 single day of the rest of his life in prison the defendants senseless horrific 29:14 heinous acts have needlessly impacted thousands of people thousands of people 29:19 and as one of the victims put it he took life from hundreds or thousands who are Our scars run deep 29:25 still breathing the ofo of this Rampage was felt worldwide three of the five 29:30 hospitals that treated the victims said they would either limit medical bills or forgive them entirely this shooting 29:37 added to a long-standing political debate on gun control in America and many questioned these of access to 29:44 high-powered assault weapons that civilians could buy saying that gun owners pushed back claiming it was their 29:50 right to own weapons of self-defense and that good gun owners should not be punished for the crimes of disturbed 29:56 individuals on July the 19th 2018 a memorial to the victims of the attack 30:02 was installed close to the theater there it commemorates the victims who suffered at the hands of James Holmes and honors 30:08 the strength and resilience of the community once again I'd like to remember their names Jonathan Blanc 30:15 Jesse childis Jessica gwi John larer Veronica Sullivan Alexander Bock Gordon 30:22 cden Matthew mcquinn Michaela medic Alex Sullivan Alex TZ and Rebecca Wingo 12 30:30 lives were lost here with 12 families permanently scarred hundreds of friends 30:35 are now permanently left with a missing piece to their puzzle and thousands of people are left with Grievous memories 30:43 hundreds of officers and Personnel are left with PTSD and millions of people 30:48 around the world are aware of this so-call Aurora shooting this event was a 30:54 tragedy through and through and it leaves many of us all across the globe reeling in shock and anger today James 31:01 is currently incarcerated at USP Allenwood in Pennsylvania and there he will remain until he dies despite 31:08 keeping him away from ever stepping foot into society again his effect on life in America is sadly still felt to this day 31:16 the fear that James senselessly struck into the hearts of many Americans is continuously palpable and regretfully 31:24 his Massacre has gone on to influence other attacks Sim SAR in nature and although the community of Aurora has 31:30 recovered from his assault on their people they will never be able to forget the damage that he 31:38 inflicted wrapping up this case I find this story to be both very upsetting and Outro 31:43 frustrating it is absolutely devastating to know that 12 people lost their lives 31:48 but I think what is extremely frustrating here is that although James's psychiatrist knew he was 31:54 mentally unwell she could do nothing about it at at least to me it is clear to see that there needs to be some sort 31:59 of Reform to laws that protect mental health patients especially when it comes to protecting others as well because in 32:06 this case this story could have been entirely avoided but yeah those are my thoughts but as always I'd like to know 32:12 what you think about this case because this story is extremely Dark Yet interesting again highlighting here that 32:17 there was nothing that Dr Fenton could professionally or legally do but the laws in which she could operate on could 32:24 have been different what are your thoughts on those and what do you think about James Holmes and I think that's 32:29 the end of today's video folks thank you so much for watching today I really do appreciate you being here just a quick 32:36 reminder that I post extra content
