0 they say that to be evil one must be 0:02 profoundly immoral and wicked if that's 0:05 the technical definition then I'm sure 0:07 you will agree that Cassandra bjorg 0:09 takes the crown as an evil teenager 0:11 without giving too much away just yet 0:14 Cassandra was a terrible teen who 0:16 wouldn't take no for an answer and after 0:18 being shipped off to live with her 0:20 grandparents she would repay their 0:22 generosity and patience in the most 0:24 disgusting of ways so what made 0:27 Cassandra so rotten to the core how 0:28 would her family deal with with her 0:30 terrible behavior and what were the 0:33 consequences hey there folks my name is 0:36 Adrian this is coffee house crime and 0:38 it's great to see you again today we're 0:40 looking at the case of Cassandra Bor by 0:42 the way I post up to four times a week 0:44 here two long form and two short videos 0:46 so if that's of interest to you please 0:48 consider subscribing and now with that 0:50 said please grab yourself a coffee pull 0:51 up a seat and get ready for the Deep 0:53 dive this is the case of Cassandra 0:58 Borg Georgia 1:04 welcome to the state of Georgia folks 1:06 now there is a lot to like about the 1:08 peach state it is well known for its 1:10 warm climate Coca-Cola and its three 1:13 peas that being peanuts peans and 1:15 peaches it makes you wonder why is it 1:18 known as the peach state and not the 1:20 peacon state or the peanut State or the 1:22 Coca-Cola State interesting fact but I 1:25 almost moved to Georgia as a teenager my 1:27 dad was offered a job in Atlanta but 1:29 turned it down to stay in Oxford I'm 1:31 trying to imagine how different things 1:32 would be if I moved there I mean Coffee 1:34 House crime wouldn't exist for a start 1:37 maybe I'd have launched Peach house 1:38 crime instead anyway Georgia the 1:41 agriculture Mining and Manufacturing 1:43 Industries dominate the state Logistics 1:46 film and entertainment are also major 1:48 players here and Tech is on the rise too 1:51 regarding crime rate the peachy peach 1:53 state is right in the middle of the pack 1:55 violent crime rate is actually 12% lower 1:58 than national average here whereas 2:00 property crime rate is about 177% higher 2:03 but anyway two of those living in the Wendy and Randall Bjorge 2:05 state of Georgia in a small city named 2:07 Lawrenceville were Wendy and Randall 2:08 Borg with a population of 31,000 people 2:12 lawrenville is found on the northeastern 2:14 border of Atlanta it seems like a nice 2:16 place to be honest if you're in the area 2:18 I've heard that Boulder Creek Coffee 2:20 does amazing por overs not affiliated by 2:22 the way just something a local has told 2:24 me Wendy and Randall Borg were the 2:26 perfect elderly couple they had a loving 2:29 family and were well respected in their 2:31 local community of lawrenville being 2:33 married for multiple decades the 63-year 2:35 olds were the perfect picture of husband 2:37 and wife described as friendly yet quiet 2:40 they were easy to live next to were 2:42 known to help with yard work through the 2:44 local neighborhoods and volunteered at 2:45 local community centers that is why when 2:48 their daughter Amanda called for help 2:50 with her troubled teenage daughter it 2:52 only seemed natural for them to step in 2:54 and guide her because being blunt she 2:57 clearly needed it what they didn't know 2:59 however was that by accepting young 3:01 Cassandra Borg into their household 3:04 their lives would change 3:06 forever Cassandra called Cassie for Wild Child 3:09 short was born and raised in duth 3:11 Georgia she lived with her mother Amanda 3:13 Sterling and her stepfather and although 3:15 Cassandra's early life isn't well known 3:18 locals say that her childhood was 3:20 unfortunately messy and tumultuous 3:22 without a suitable Father Figure to 3:24 guide her Cassandra was a wild child 3:27 with little to no manners she lacked 3:29 direction from either of her parents and 3:32 was essentially left alone to do 3:33 whatever she wanted whenever she wanted 3:36 by the time she was 16 years old this 3:38 resulted in a terrible relationship with 3:40 law enforcement with many offenses 3:42 including underage drinking smoking weed 3:45 shoplifting domestic assault skipping 3:48 school and running away from home she 3:51 quickly got involved with the so-called 3:53 wrong crowd and when her mother finally 3:55 had enough with her bratty Behavior it 3:57 was unfortunately too late to change 3:59 anything the teenage girl had developed 4:01 a selfish attitude of my way or the 4:04 highway with her daughter so out of 4:06 control Amanda desperately needed help 4:08 and so she called her own parents to see 4:10 if they could do anything to support her 4:12 Amanda thought that if she could get her 4:14 daughter away from all of the drama at 4:15 home in school then maybe she could have 4:17 a fresh start and turn her life around 4:20 and so in the year 2016 Wendy and 4:22 Randall filed for custody of Cassie as a 4:24 result she moved from duth to join her 4:26 grandparents in lawrenville but Cassie 4:28 made it immediately clear that she was 4:30 not happy with this arrangement she was 4:32 angry unresponsive and quite rude to her 4:35 grandparents demands and immediately 4:37 challenged their Authority as a result 4:39 tension began to grow but you see cass's 4:41 grandparents believed that deep down she 4:43 was not a bad person she had merely been 4:46 raised in an unhealthy 4:49 environment trying to get through to 4:51 their granddaughter they outlined their 4:53 rather basic expectations no staying out 4:56 late no smoking or drinking attend 4:59 school every day and homework must be 5:01 completed on time the Bare Essentials 5:04 really I mean I'd be laughing if I had 5:06 this as a child but of course Cassie had 5:08 no intention of changing her lifestyle 5:11 or attitude she was already used to 5:13 living with her mother where she could 5:15 practically get away with almost 5:17 anything without repercussions at first 5:19 Wendy and Randall kept their peace and 5:21 remained quite patient with her trying 5:23 to understand that it may take some time 5:25 before she settles down what they may 5:27 have underestimated however was Cassie's 5:30 bullheadedness and willingness to get 5:32 her way by any means necessary once it 5:35 became clear that neither party would 5:36 bend the knee to each other the shy 5:39 tension turned into absolute Warfare and 5:42 despite her initial enrollment at the 5:44 local high school named Peach Tree Ridge 5:46 her attendance would not last for long 5:49 the young Miss Borg dropped out and 5:50 refused to go to class and without 5:53 school to ground her she began to cause 5:55 more Mischief in the new area of 5:57 Lawrenceville according to police record 5:59 records local law enforcement had to 6:01 respond to the buor home 31 times from 6:04 2016 through to 2017 nine of those calls 6:08 were from Neighbors who often heard 6:09 shouting and banging from the household 6:12 and 18 calls were made directly from 6:14 Wendy and Randall who constantly 6:15 experienced their granddaughter running 6:17 away some of those calls involved 6:19 domestic disputes where Cassie became 6:22 physically violent against her 6:23 grandparents others included drinking or 6:26 smoking illegally in the household and 6:28 these ications with the law would 6:31 unfortunately escalate in 6:33 severity in the winter of 2016 officers 6:37 arrived at the Borg household when 6:39 Cassie's grandparents called to report 6:41 that she had physically assaulted Wendy 6:43 according to official reports Wendy told 6:46 the officers that she and Cassie were 6:47 arguing after she had been caught 6:49 drinking again after being told to watch 6:51 her language Cassie grabbed a glass full 6:54 of water and threw it at her grandmother 6:56 narrowly missing her as it smashed into 6:58 pieces against the wall behind her her 7:01 actions were seriously concerning this 7:04 Outburst was uncalled for and she could 7:06 have severely injured her grandmother by 7:08 doing so when the responding officer 7:10 spoke to the two it became quite clear 7:13 that Cassie didn't give a while 7:15 Wendy tried to explain the situation as 7:17 calmly as possible Cassie continuously 7:20 interrupted she simultaneously insulted 7:23 her and the other officers and was 7:25 generally just being rude while nothing 7:28 legally came of this s 7:30 Cassie's lousy Behavior was obviously 7:32 taking a toll on her grandparents I mean 7:35 put yourself in their shoes for just a 7:37 moment here they were trying to guide 7:39 their granddaughter with as much love 7:41 and support as possible but all they 7:43 received back instead was pure rudess 7:46 and aggression Cassie's utter disdain 7:48 for any Authority made it exceedingly 7:51 difficult for Wendy and Randall to 7:52 coexist with her now I haven't seen any 7:55 reference to this in any court documents 7:57 or police reports and it is just an 7:59 opinion of mine as an armchair 8:01 psychologist but with so much hatred 8:03 towards Authority and her actions which 8:06 eventually followed I do wonder if she 8:08 suffered from Oppositional Defiant 8:10 Disorder as mentioned before she was 8:13 Notorious for running away from home and 8:15 it wasn't uncommon for her to sneak out 8:17 at night and be gone for multiple days 8:19 at a time whenever she disappeared Wendy 8:22 would often take to Facebook asking for 8:24 help and to create missing posters to 8:26 spread the 8:28 word April the 1st 2017 was April 2017 8:31 unfortunately no different once again 8:34 Cassie decided to put her grandparents 8:35 through a lot of emotional turmoil and 8:38 once again Wendy went to Facebook 8:40 desperate for how but unknown to her and 8:42 everyone else at the time this would 8:44 actually be the last time she would ever 8:45 post a Facebook because a m few hours 8:48 later she fell silent at 11:18 p.m. her 8:51 last text message read I'm going to bed 8:54 soon maybe tomorrow will be better all I 8:56 can do is hope for the best and expect 8:58 the worst it shouldn't be this hard for 9:00 any of us this message held a terribly 9:03 large amount of dark irony because after 9:05 it was sent no one would ever hear from 9:07 her again which was very unusual because 9:10 she always kept people up to date as the 9:12 days passed peripheral members of the 9:14 family began to grow worried you see 9:17 Wendy and Randall were not replying to 9:19 any of their messages or phone calls and 9:21 so a welfare check was 9:24 requested when officers arrived at the 9:27 house they instantly sensed that that 9:29 something was a Miss despite knocking on 9:31 the door several times no one answered 9:33 it now officers decided to wait an extra 9:36 day before any intervention but when 9:39 they did return the following day they 9:41 received no answer at the door on April 9:43 the 8th a seemingly unrelated call came 9:46 over the radio nearby in the town of 9:48 Lawrenceville a domestic assault was 9:50 reported from one of the homes in the 9:52 area however by the time responding 9:55 officers arrived the attackers had 9:57 already fled the scene but those asants 9:59 were identified immediately and perhaps 10:02 unsurprisingly that included Cassandra 10:04 Borg and her 19-year-old boyfriend 10:07 Johnny Ryder they had unlawfully entered 10:09 the home of Johnny's sister and her 10:11 boyfriend and sadly their crimes would 10:14 not stop there Johnny's sister and her 10:16 boyfriend returned home earlier that 10:18 evening to find the house in complete 10:21 disarray the bedroom was torn to pieces 10:24 with several items missing and Furniture 10:26 damaged Beyond repair and standing in in 10:29 the middle of the bedroom smirking was 10:31 Cassie bogg and her boyfriend Johnny an 10:34 altercation broke out between the two 10:36 couples with Johnny pepper spraying his 10:38 sister in the face sending her to her 10:40 knees he then began to beat her 10:42 boyfriend in the face while Cassie went 10:44 to grab a baseball bat she followed up 10:47 by beating Johnny's sister over the head 10:49 neck and shoulders leaving both of them 10:51 fighting for their lives on the ground 10:53 Cassie and Johnny then fled to the scene 10:55 taking his sister's car in the 10:58 process Rebellion, in love and war 11:01 both victims sustained severe injuries 11:03 from the attack and after speaking to 11:06 the police were escorted to the hospital 11:08 immediately in the meantime detectives 11:10 started looking into the crime scene 11:12 while there they realized that the car 11:13 that Johnny and Cassie had arrived in 11:15 was not actually theirs in fact it 11:18 belonged to Wendy and Randall who had 11:20 been missing for several days when they 11:22 returned to the bu residence officers 11:24 were much more forceful in trying to get 11:26 an answer this time but after failing to 11:28 establish a connection they decided to 11:30 barge the door down that is when an 11:32 overwhelming stench of Decay greeted 11:34 them making their way upstairs to the 11:36 master bedroom that terrible smell grew 11:39 stronger and after opening that bedroom 11:41 door they found Wendy and Randall dead 11:43 on the floor both had succumbed to a 11:46 very violent death the elderly couple 11:48 had stab wounds all across their bodies 11:50 and they were both victims of blunt 11:52 force trauma to the Head suddenly their 11:54 silence now made sense to officers to 11:57 all those times they had knocked on that 11:58 TR front door Wendy and Randall were 12:00 inside all along murdered in Cold Blood 12:03 the discovery completely shocked the 12:05 community of lawrenville and neighbors 12:07 could not believe that the lovely couple 12:09 they had come to know were now dead as 12:11 expected Johnny and Cassie immediately 12:14 became their primary suspects with Wendy 12:17 and Randall dead and their car found at 12:19 Johnny's sister's house these two 12:21 connected the dots perfectly thankfully 12:23 with an entire task force dedicated to 12:26 the case the team did not take long to 12:28 track them down in fact the very next 12:30 morning they found them in an apartment 12:32 complex nearby the two had barricaded 12:35 themselves inside a friend's apartment 12:37 and as you could imagine they were not 12:39 going to give themselves up easily 12:41 police surrounded the premises and using 12:44 a loud speaker ordered them to exit the 12:46 apartment with their hands in the air of 12:49 course Johnny and Cassie refused and in 12:51 a standoff that lasted for over an hour 12:54 police negotiated to no avail to scope 12:57 the area and gain Intel officers used a 12:59 small remote controlled robot to enter 13:01 the property that was when the police 13:03 realized that the two teens were 13:05 actually boarded up in the bathroom and 13:07 after gaining entry officers realized 13:10 that the two were lying in a pool of 13:11 their own blood rather than face Justice 13:14 for their awful crimes they decided to 13:16 end their lives together by cutting 13:18 their wrists with a razor blade 13:20 thankfully though they were unsuccessful 13:22 in their own little scheme and police 13:24 managed to barge in apprehend and get 13:27 them medical treatment afterwards police 13:29 found the couple in the house after 13:31 relatives asked for a welfare check 13:33 officers checked the home earlier in the 13:35 week but they were unable to make 13:37 contact they returned to the house 13:39 overnight after finding the couple's car 13:41 on rambling Woods Drive that's where the 13:44 two relatives of the granddaughter's 13:45 boyfriend reported he beat them with a 13:48 baseball bat police then searched hours 13:51 for the teens and this morning they 13:53 received a call the two were at The 13:55 Residence at mcginness ferry in Swan 13:58 investigator say the two barricaded 14:00 themselves inside an apartment sparking 14:02 a SWAT standoff police say once they 14:04 made entry they found the teens with 14:07 self-inflicted stab wounds we spoke with 14:09 the victim's neighbors here in 14:11 lawrencville they are shocked by the 14:13 turn of events now in custody and after What happened? 14:16 being treated to their wounds it 14:18 actually took very little time for the 14:21 two teenage lovers to turn on each other 14:23 I've said this many times before and 14:25 I'll say it again murderous couples 14:27 almost always end up blaming each other 14:30 each claimed that the other was the one 14:32 to murder Wendy and Randall while they 14:34 helplessly watched on but while under 14:36 interrogation Cassie would be the first 14:39 one to break her story eventually 14:41 revealing what actually happened on the 14:43 night that her grandparents were 14:45 murdered and so the story goes like this 14:48 Cassie was sick of her grandparents 14:50 trying to control her life she had had 14:53 enough of their discipline and so after 14:55 running away on the 1st of April she met 14:58 with Johnny to hatch a Sinister plot to 15:00 murder them they designed the method of 15:02 attack and further theorized on how to 15:05 dispose of their bodies later that night 15:07 Johnny and Cassie parked outside of the 15:09 Borg residence and waited for the lights 15:12 to turn off and once the house was 15:14 covered in darkness they covertly 15:16 entered oblivious to their impending 15:19 tragedy Wendy and Randall were upstairs 15:21 occupied with concern for their missing 15:23 granddaughter they loved her dearly and 15:26 although she was missing they hoped that 15:28 she was okay meanwhile armed with a tire 15:31 iron Hammer baseball bat butcher knives 15:34 and duct tape Johnny and Cassie 15:36 stealthily crept up the staircase 15:38 positioning themselves just outside of 15:40 the bedroom door they listened to hear 15:42 if they were asleep and once things got 15:45 quiet that is when they entered Johnny 15:48 initiated the assault catching the 15:50 elderly couple off guard he mercilessly 15:52 attacked Randall while Cassie fueled by 15:54 a surge of energy rushed to Wendy's side 15:57 also attacking her in the Pro process 15:59 dragging her grandmother from the bed 16:01 she duct taped her before pulling her 16:03 into the bathroom she then stabbed her 16:05 several times across her body within 16:07 seconds two lives were senselessly cut 16:10 short following their deaths Johnny and 16:12 Cassie callously arranged their lifeless 16:15 bodies on the bedroom floor after that 16:17 they sealed the windows and doors with 16:19 cork desperate to contain the inevitable 16:21 smell of decomposition in a display of 16:24 monstrous indifference they then cleaned 16:26 themselves up and went downstairs to 16:28 relax after the brutal murders they 16:31 ordered takeout and merrily talked about 16:33 their actions and just a couple hours 16:36 later they threw a drug fueled house 16:38 party while Cassie's grandparents lay 16:40 dead upstairs Johnny and Cassie remained 16:43 on the property for multiple days after 16:45 this only leaving to attack Johnny's 16:47 sister who was only the second of 16:50 several planned victims it took several 16:52 days for law enforcement to discover 16:54 Wendy and Randall in fact it took 16:56 forensic cleanup teams many hour hours 16:58 to eventually scrub the scene 17:01 clean now that our two murderous teens 17:03 were in custody and had turned on each 17:05 other it became unmistakably clear that 17:08 they were responsible what's worse 17:10 Cassie also admitted that the two had 17:12 planned to murder Johnny's entire family 17:14 before then setting their sights on 17:15 Amanda too in fact they were so close to 17:18 the next part of their plan that they'd 17:20 even reach Johnny's parents' house but 17:22 then he changed his mind when he didn't 17:24 recognize two cars on the driveway 17:26 detectives described this case to be 17:27 highly unique and disturbing I mean the 17:30 town of lawrencville had never seen such 17:31 a sadistic killer before and a small 17:34 teenage girl of all people this story 17:36 gripped the state of Georgia for all of 17:38 the wrong reasons and many people wanted 17:40 to see them hang but some were 17:43 sympathetic due to their age being over Legal Proceedings 17:45 the age of 18 Johnny was likely to 17:47 receive the death penalty if the case 17:49 had gone to trial but fortunately for 17:52 him since both of them had struck a plea 17:54 deal this was now off of the table after 17:56 pleading guilty to the murders of Wendy 17:58 and Randall bjorg and guilty to 18:00 aggravated assault and theft our love 18:02 birds were sentenced to life in prison 18:04 with the possibility of parole only 18:06 after 60 years in addition to this they 18:09 were sentenced to an extra 21 years to 18:11 be served concurrently with their life 18:13 sentences the judge priding over this 18:16 case said I'm not sure if I've ever 18:18 imagined such a well-planned Despicable 18:20 heinous act to be committed by two such 18:23 young people the heartless and depraved 18:25 nature of what the two of you did tells 18:27 me it is not worth my time when given a 18:30 chance to speak Johnny seemed to be 18:32 genuinely remorseful and asked for 18:34 forgiveness from his family and the 18:36 community he claimed that the crime was 18:39 horrific and evil and said that in his 18:41 heart he knew that he deserved Hellfire 18:44 on the other hand Cassie was silent when 18:46 offered the chance to speak and opted to 18:48 cry quietly instead whether she was 18:51 crying over the death of her 18:52 grandparents or the death of her own 18:54 life we may never know but due to the 18:56 callous and brutal nature of of her 18:58 actions I'm going to bet on the latter 19:01 Cassie's mother later said that she 19:03 could not believe what had happened and 19:05 never knew that her daughter was capable 19:07 of doing something so evil the case 19:09 ended with an elderly couple's lives cut 19:12 short a community reeling from their 19:14 murders and two young adults left to rot 19:17 in prison for the next many decades to 19:19 come Wendy and Randall bjorg were 19:21 upstanding members of Lawrenceville but Remembering Wendy and Randall 19:24 in the end What mattered was not how 19:26 well they treated others but rather how 19:28 others treated them by trying to help 19:31 their daughter and their granddaughter 19:33 they paid the ultimate price for trying 19:35 to be good people sadly this case is the 19:38 ultimate example of what can happen when 19:41 a callous brat 19:44 derails it's quite unique to see a 19:46 killer so young especially when it 19:48 involves fam side I mean there are 19:50 entire YouTube channels dedicated to 19:52 this type of killer alone so yeah this 19:55 one's quite messed up anyway folks I Outro 19:57 think that pretty much wraps up this 19:58 case today but before you go I really 20:00 want to know what you think about this 20:02 one for one do you think that 20:03 Cassandra's mother Amanda has any part 20:05 to blame in this I mean she wasn't aable 20:08 to control a daughter from a very young 20:10 age so does that mean she's partially 20:12 responsible or do you think that Cassie 20:14 was just a rotten egg destined to become 20:16 a senseless murderer personally I'm more 20:19 leaning towards the latter but I'd like 20:21 to know what you think I'll let you come 20:23 to your own conclusion because I do 20:25 genuinely appreciate the diversity in 20:26 both opinions and thoughts and that's it 20:29 thank you so much for watching folks I 20:30 really do appreciate you making it this 20:32 far on the video by the way if you have 20:34 Instagram and want to be part of this 20:35 community then please follow me over 20:36 there too I do all sorts like giveaways 20:39 and q&as reals and videos stories and 20:41 many many more things and there's many 20:43 photos of Nero thank you again for 20:45 watching folks and as always I'll see 20:47 you again very soon for another video 20:49 Until our moment arrives though remember
