And so I'm in 00:03:41.439 --> 00:03:46.740 the time that we have left here. My goal here 00:03:46.740 --> 00:03:50.400 this morning that I felt from the Lord earlier 00:03:50.400 --> 00:03:55.360 this weekend was to continue to build upon the 00:03:55.360 --> 00:03:59.979 platform or the progression of how God moved 00:04:00.520 --> 00:04:05.000 the nation of Israel from Passover to Pentecost. 00:04:05.199 --> 00:04:10.259 And why Pentecost is so incredibly important 00:04:10.259 --> 00:04:16.660 now. Why it's so important now. It's the only 00:04:16.660 --> 00:04:22.019 feast. Even though all of them have been fulfilled 00:04:22.019 --> 00:04:26.279 naturally in Christ. And even though Israel participated 00:04:26.279 --> 00:04:32.490 in the observance for, man. of participating 00:04:32.490 --> 00:04:36.990 in the observance of the feast. Pentecost is 00:04:36.990 --> 00:04:44.470 where God really moves and shifts things from 00:04:44.470 --> 00:04:48.529 natural -based understanding to spiritual -based 00:04:48.529 --> 00:04:53.389 understanding. And if you don't, if you can't 00:04:53.389 --> 00:04:57.350 kind of just clip your carabiner into that rope 00:04:57.350 --> 00:05:02.430 of truth, you're really going to stay limited 00:05:02.430 --> 00:05:04.670 in your understanding and your participation 00:05:04.670 --> 00:05:08.509 of walking with God in the Spirit through the 00:05:08.509 --> 00:05:10.509 Scriptures and staying connected to what the 00:05:10.509 --> 00:05:14.110 Holy Spirit's wanting to do. Because everything 00:05:14.110 --> 00:05:18.829 changed. Some things remained the same, but everything 00:05:18.829 --> 00:05:23.370 changed in addition at Pentecost. We moved from 00:05:23.370 --> 00:05:29.930 a natural born, natural race, natural... identity 00:05:29.930 --> 00:05:34.129 of Israel in all feasts, in all worship, in all 00:05:34.129 --> 00:05:37.730 regulation, in all understanding of the Levitical 00:05:37.730 --> 00:05:41.930 Aaronic priesthood. And everything changed at 00:05:41.930 --> 00:05:45.649 Pentecost. It opened up a new priesthood. It 00:05:45.649 --> 00:05:50.709 opened up no longer being born of a blood type 00:05:50.709 --> 00:05:53.750 and in a certain nation from a certain natural 00:05:53.750 --> 00:05:58.699 family. Everything shifted in Pentecost. Everything. 00:05:59.839 --> 00:06:04.319 And the problem is that for many of us that were 00:06:04.319 --> 00:06:09.600 born and raised in some of our evangelical settings, 00:06:09.720 --> 00:06:13.680 the highest common denominator of our understanding 00:06:13.680 --> 00:06:17.980 is a Pentecost type, or excuse me, a Passover 00:06:17.980 --> 00:06:22.639 type revelation. Passover, and we... been working 00:06:22.639 --> 00:06:24.579 on this for the last three weeks. Passover is 00:06:24.579 --> 00:06:29.139 directly related to the cross. It was a place 00:06:29.139 --> 00:06:32.220 of Jesus being the lamb that was slain. Passover 00:06:32.220 --> 00:06:35.519 was the taking of the lamb. Passover was the 00:06:35.519 --> 00:06:39.259 beginning, the open door, the blood on the threshold. 00:06:39.459 --> 00:06:43.459 It is still the open door that you have to go 00:06:43.459 --> 00:06:46.439 through first. Jesus said, I am the way, the 00:06:46.439 --> 00:06:49.329 truth and the life. No man comes to the Father 00:06:49.329 --> 00:06:54.069 but by me. Passover is the cross. And you can't 00:06:54.069 --> 00:06:57.129 have the cross without the resurrection. If it 00:06:57.129 --> 00:07:00.310 was just a cross, it would still be in something 00:07:00.310 --> 00:07:02.730 that would have to be done every year because 00:07:02.730 --> 00:07:06.389 that was the pattern of natural Passover. A lamb 00:07:06.389 --> 00:07:11.269 every year, year after year after year, putting 00:07:11.269 --> 00:07:14.870 off, putting off, extending. It was almost like 00:07:14.870 --> 00:07:19.250 God in his... In his infinite mercy. Showing 00:07:19.250 --> 00:07:23.310 us. How long suffering he was. In the old covenant. 00:07:23.490 --> 00:07:26.930 By one more year. I'll extend it. One more year. 00:07:27.009 --> 00:07:29.389 I'll extend it. One more year. And they did that 00:07:29.389 --> 00:07:39.110 for about. 1600 years. Until. The lamb. That 00:07:39.110 --> 00:07:43.050 would die. But not just die. Raise from the dead. 00:07:44.970 --> 00:07:50.800 That's what. made all sacrifice of natural stop. 00:07:53.279 --> 00:07:57.839 And then 50 days later, there would be an inauguration 00:07:57.839 --> 00:08:02.420 of what God was trying to bring now his holy 00:08:02.420 --> 00:08:08.459 nation. Not a nation just of a certain blood 00:08:08.459 --> 00:08:12.779 type, but that the nations of the world would 00:08:12.779 --> 00:08:16.569 come. into what they had been excluded out of. 00:08:17.589 --> 00:08:21.290 There was a few proselytes that came in all over 00:08:21.290 --> 00:08:25.949 the area, but predominantly they did not do, 00:08:26.050 --> 00:08:28.310 Israel did not do what they were supposed to 00:08:28.310 --> 00:08:31.529 do. They were to be a light into the world at 00:08:31.529 --> 00:08:34.129 that time. They were to draw all nations unto 00:08:34.129 --> 00:08:38.370 them. Instead, what happened? The nations took 00:08:38.370 --> 00:08:41.169 Israel in instead of Israel taking the nations 00:08:41.169 --> 00:08:48.570 in. And God did what at Pentecost? He moved them 00:08:48.570 --> 00:08:51.350 in so many significant ways. There's so many 00:08:51.350 --> 00:08:54.250 things that happened. I mean, literally, if I 00:08:54.250 --> 00:08:56.929 was to go through a chart, we could go through 00:08:56.929 --> 00:09:02.870 almost 20 specific things that God did at Pentecost. 00:09:02.970 --> 00:09:06.590 And yet, for most of us, we just don't have that 00:09:06.590 --> 00:09:10.970 understanding. Now, why is this so important? 00:09:11.070 --> 00:09:15.299 Because God... And I believe at times with what 00:09:15.299 --> 00:09:17.500 the Holy Spirit is doing with us as a church 00:09:17.500 --> 00:09:21.019 and what he's doing in churches all over, he 00:09:21.019 --> 00:09:25.259 is trying to move the church forward in progression. 00:09:26.399 --> 00:09:30.580 Not progression as in some form of liberal theology, 00:09:30.600 --> 00:09:36.120 but progression in what his plan and purpose 00:09:36.120 --> 00:09:40.240 is so that this generation would actually partner 00:09:40.240 --> 00:09:45.350 with him in the harvest. Not just the harvest 00:09:45.350 --> 00:09:51.889 of only the cross, but the harvest that included 00:09:51.889 --> 00:09:55.929 the cross, resurrection, and the ministry that 00:09:55.929 --> 00:10:00.129 Jesus said, in my name you will do the same works 00:10:00.129 --> 00:10:05.830 on greater. It is the combination of both. And 00:10:05.830 --> 00:10:11.350 if we don't stand on the platform of that, we're 00:10:11.350 --> 00:10:16.409 divided. I'm going to say something here that 00:10:16.409 --> 00:10:21.590 I know people aren't going to like. But I believe, 00:10:21.710 --> 00:10:26.669 I am convinced with all of my heart that one 00:10:26.669 --> 00:10:30.970 of the greatest deceptions and doctrines of demons 00:10:30.970 --> 00:10:35.389 that has entered the church is the idea that 00:10:35.389 --> 00:10:38.950 the Holy Spirit has now ceased from operating 00:10:38.950 --> 00:10:43.029 in the gifts and in the flow of the Spirit in 00:10:43.029 --> 00:10:47.820 building the church. They're single -handedly, 00:10:47.840 --> 00:10:50.860 the devil dropped that in. And you know, that's 00:10:50.860 --> 00:10:54.539 a relatively, thank you, Jenny. I appreciate 00:10:54.539 --> 00:10:56.860 you playing. I noticed she stopped right when 00:10:56.860 --> 00:11:02.100 I said, doctrine of demons. You're on your own, 00:11:02.120 --> 00:11:11.440 bud. I'm out. You know, it never used to be that 00:11:11.440 --> 00:11:15.169 way. Did you know that? that all through church 00:11:15.169 --> 00:11:19.169 history, from the early church fathers for the 00:11:19.169 --> 00:11:23.610 first three and four centuries, even to the 1700s, 00:11:23.610 --> 00:11:30.149 1800s, 1900s, everyone recognized that the Holy 00:11:30.149 --> 00:11:33.250 Spirit was supposed to be something that they 00:11:33.250 --> 00:11:35.309 should have operated in, but that they had an 00:11:35.309 --> 00:11:37.870 understanding of operating in all the gifts as 00:11:37.870 --> 00:11:40.429 it was that he was a minister of wind and fire 00:11:40.429 --> 00:11:43.789 and he was to partner with the working and the 00:11:43.789 --> 00:11:47.509 building of the church. There was no mindset 00:11:47.509 --> 00:11:51.909 that said somehow in some century this stopped. 00:11:53.190 --> 00:11:55.230 Because you can read the early church fathers 00:11:55.230 --> 00:12:01.679 and they knew that it didn't stop. It was only 00:12:01.679 --> 00:12:05.980 in a response, and please hear this, it was only 00:12:05.980 --> 00:12:09.759 in a response to the 1906 or the 1903, whatever, 00:12:09.899 --> 00:12:13.139 I'm getting my dates messed up, pouring out of 00:12:13.139 --> 00:12:17.940 Azusa Street on the West Coast that in response 00:12:17.940 --> 00:12:22.879 to that outpouring that came, people began to 00:12:22.879 --> 00:12:27.850 create a mindset that they did not want more 00:12:27.850 --> 00:12:30.970 of the Holy Spirit and began to really punch 00:12:30.970 --> 00:12:34.769 down and say, this is a cessationist thing. That 00:12:34.769 --> 00:12:37.870 which is happening is not of the scripture because 00:12:37.870 --> 00:12:40.990 all we have now is the word. The word is perfect. 00:12:41.090 --> 00:12:43.409 That's the perfect that has come. None of these 00:12:43.409 --> 00:12:49.149 other things are operational. That is the biggest 00:12:49.149 --> 00:12:55.509 balderdash lie. Now, I know it. I mean, I'm saying 00:12:55.509 --> 00:13:01.370 to you, it's a lie. I believe it's a lie because 00:13:01.370 --> 00:13:05.129 you cannot. Now, I know that there's ministers 00:13:05.129 --> 00:13:09.269 on TV, ministers on the radio, all sorts of things 00:13:09.269 --> 00:13:11.429 that will say, well, these are just two different 00:13:11.429 --> 00:13:14.070 points. No, they are polar opposite of each other. 00:13:16.029 --> 00:13:19.710 And listen, a house divided against itself will 00:13:19.710 --> 00:13:24.649 fall. And so is it any wonder that the church 00:13:24.649 --> 00:13:29.029 hasn't been able to progress forward in actually 00:13:29.029 --> 00:13:32.049 flowing with the Spirit of God and the Word of 00:13:32.049 --> 00:13:34.909 God together as the body of Christ? Isn't it 00:13:34.909 --> 00:13:37.129 any wonder that's the only thing we can rally 00:13:37.129 --> 00:13:41.450 around is the cross and that's it? That the second 00:13:41.450 --> 00:13:46.789 giving of a one just like Jesus is relegated 00:13:46.789 --> 00:13:52.019 now? That he can't do what he did in and through 00:13:52.019 --> 00:14:01.500 Jesus? Who does that make sense to? So, well 00:14:01.500 --> 00:14:05.179 that was kind of a big introduction. So what 00:14:05.179 --> 00:14:08.840 does that mean? It means that God has been, and 00:14:08.840 --> 00:14:11.279 this is why I want to go back to patterns. God 00:14:11.279 --> 00:14:15.600 has been putting in his word. patterns of partnership 00:14:15.600 --> 00:14:19.539 right from the beginning of every feast to show 00:14:19.539 --> 00:14:23.320 us that God does what God does, but in the midst 00:14:23.320 --> 00:14:26.080 of what God does and he can do alone, he what? 00:14:26.240 --> 00:14:29.460 Invites you into the process of partnership. 00:14:31.620 --> 00:14:34.779 And if that's the nature of the Father and that 00:14:34.779 --> 00:14:37.580 is the nature of the Son and that is the nature 00:14:37.580 --> 00:14:41.080 of the Holy Spirit, then God who changes not 00:14:41.899 --> 00:14:49.309 will not change partway through the feasts. If 00:14:49.309 --> 00:14:51.750 he partnered with you in Passover as we looked 00:14:51.750 --> 00:14:54.070 at several weeks ago to say, now I'm going to 00:14:54.070 --> 00:14:55.850 do what only the blood can do and I'm going to 00:14:55.850 --> 00:14:58.029 provide for myself and you're going to take a 00:14:58.029 --> 00:15:00.370 lamb and that taking now represents spiritually. 00:15:00.389 --> 00:15:02.929 You take him on your heart and you apply the 00:15:02.929 --> 00:15:05.269 blood of my son on your heart, the lamb of God 00:15:05.269 --> 00:15:07.629 for the forgiveness of your sin, what you were 00:15:07.629 --> 00:15:09.809 born in and personal sin. If you confess your 00:15:09.809 --> 00:15:12.169 sin, I'll be faithful and just to forgive you 00:15:12.169 --> 00:15:14.250 and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Yes, 00:15:14.289 --> 00:15:17.409 that is part of taking the lamb. It's receiving 00:15:17.409 --> 00:15:20.649 it. He is the resurrected Lord. Sons and daughters. I know there's many applications 00:17:37.369 --> 00:17:40.450 of that, but the son that squandered his wealth 00:17:40.450 --> 00:17:44.990 is a representation of the younger son representing 00:17:44.990 --> 00:17:57.069 a Gentile mindset. Part of the problem was the 00:17:57.069 --> 00:18:01.589 older son. The older son did not want to see 00:18:03.630 --> 00:18:06.089 What the younger son squandered and felt that 00:18:06.089 --> 00:18:09.009 the younger son should pay. And the older son 00:18:09.009 --> 00:18:12.869 had no idea, even though he worked and labored 00:18:12.869 --> 00:18:15.650 in it, he had no idea of what real partnership 00:18:15.650 --> 00:18:22.150 meant. Because he got so consumed with what wasn't 00:18:22.150 --> 00:18:25.369 being done right and the inheritance being squandered 00:18:25.369 --> 00:18:31.190 that he felt bound to... To only that which he 00:18:31.190 --> 00:18:34.450 could see. And the nature of the father didn't 00:18:34.450 --> 00:18:40.950 get in him. Are you there? Meaning what? When 00:18:40.950 --> 00:18:45.730 the brother came back. And God puts what? A ring 00:18:45.730 --> 00:18:50.410 on his finger. Shoes on his feet. Robe. Slays 00:18:50.410 --> 00:18:53.410 the fatted calf. The only thing the brother could 00:18:53.410 --> 00:18:55.890 think about. And I love this in the old King 00:18:55.890 --> 00:18:58.779 James. You didn't even give me a goat to make 00:18:58.779 --> 00:19:03.559 merry with my friends. That's the only word you 00:19:03.559 --> 00:19:08.640 could come up with? How does not getting a goat 00:19:08.640 --> 00:19:10.980 to make merry with my friends, what did it do? 00:19:11.039 --> 00:19:14.960 It revealed everything on the inside of the older 00:19:14.960 --> 00:19:19.259 brother. Everything on the inside. Meaning, I 00:19:19.259 --> 00:19:22.490 don't care. That the dead came back. I don't 00:19:22.490 --> 00:19:26.089 care. You see, I believe 00:19:57.470 --> 00:20:01.069 that parable is more about Pentecost than it 00:20:01.069 --> 00:20:07.009 is in anything else. That when the world was 00:20:07.009 --> 00:20:10.690 cut off at Babel, it became now one family, one, 00:20:10.869 --> 00:20:16.670 that older son. And when God called and they 00:20:16.670 --> 00:20:19.289 finally came out of the pigs and he sent the 00:20:19.289 --> 00:20:21.549 spirit and he came to himself, what happened? 00:20:21.650 --> 00:20:25.329 The younger brother, the Gentile brother came 00:20:25.329 --> 00:20:27.829 to himself. It's what? It's an awakening. It's 00:20:27.829 --> 00:20:30.569 a call. It's coming out of the places where he 00:20:30.569 --> 00:20:34.190 was in. Gentile fields, Gentile land, Gentile 00:20:34.190 --> 00:20:37.210 ownership, the gods of this world and the food 00:20:37.210 --> 00:20:43.819 of this world.
