About at the communion table, bringing 00:01:09.480 --> 00:01:13.959 some fresh revelation to God's people that wouldn't 00:01:13.959 --> 00:01:20.239 just be an ad hoc thing. And not that what Life 00:01:20.239 --> 00:01:23.099 Bible is doing is... better than anyone else. 00:01:23.120 --> 00:01:25.079 It's just that what the Lord was speaking to 00:01:25.079 --> 00:01:29.379 me for this house and for this region is that 00:01:29.379 --> 00:01:33.840 there needed to be a deepening and an expanding 00:01:33.840 --> 00:01:37.780 of our understanding of all of the things that 00:01:37.780 --> 00:01:40.439 are tied to the communion table, that when we 00:01:40.439 --> 00:01:44.700 take it, there is a real... understanding that 00:01:44.700 --> 00:01:47.799 we are grabbing a hold of all that God did to 00:01:47.799 --> 00:01:51.780 put inside that truth symbolically of the bread 00:01:51.780 --> 00:01:54.819 and the cup, every element that's there. And 00:01:54.819 --> 00:01:58.099 as I was waiting on the Lord and I shared this 00:01:58.099 --> 00:02:00.340 a little bit with you and I want to just review, 00:02:00.500 --> 00:02:07.579 as Pastor Trent came and preached on leading 00:02:07.579 --> 00:02:10.819 up to Pentecost, I kind of... I kind of brought 00:02:10.819 --> 00:02:13.360 it back the week I came back because it was communion 00:02:13.360 --> 00:02:16.740 week. He had done this wonderful job of kind 00:02:16.740 --> 00:02:19.719 of building up to Pentecost and got partway through 00:02:19.719 --> 00:02:21.979 his message. Him and I had been communicating 00:02:21.979 --> 00:02:25.460 on that. And I just felt as I came back from 00:02:25.460 --> 00:02:28.819 vacation and our time away that the Lord wanted 00:02:28.819 --> 00:02:32.460 to deepen and broaden some things. So it's been 00:02:32.460 --> 00:02:35.599 an interesting journey for me in these weeks 00:02:35.599 --> 00:02:40.180 that I can't. seem to break away from study. 00:02:40.699 --> 00:02:45.020 Normally, for me, preparing a message is about 00:02:45.020 --> 00:02:48.479 12 to 15 hours for a Sunday morning, just prayer, 00:02:48.719 --> 00:02:52.560 timing, research, writing, things flow. I have 00:02:52.560 --> 00:02:55.219 not been able to get out since I've been back 00:02:55.219 --> 00:03:00.080 out of about 25 hours. And so it's consuming 00:03:00.080 --> 00:03:03.259 my, which is wonderful in some aspects, it's 00:03:03.259 --> 00:03:07.949 consuming my time. I've taken If there's a day 00:03:07.949 --> 00:03:11.650 off, I've spent my whole day off just being in 00:03:11.650 --> 00:03:13.490 the scriptures. And how many know that's a good 00:03:13.490 --> 00:03:16.669 thing? It's a great thing. And I'm not complaining. 00:03:16.870 --> 00:03:19.189 I want you to know that I'm on a journey here 00:03:19.189 --> 00:03:23.849 with you in discovering some of the things that 00:03:23.849 --> 00:03:26.669 I believe that the Holy Spirit is trying to highlight 00:03:26.669 --> 00:03:30.800 in this season. you know if you've been with 00:03:30.800 --> 00:03:32.780 us long enough for those that are visiting and 00:03:32.780 --> 00:03:35.439 those that are new to Life Bible Church, we believe 00:03:35.439 --> 00:03:40.539 in the prophetic expression of the Holy Spirit 00:03:40.539 --> 00:03:43.580 speaking to the church. And what that means is 00:03:43.580 --> 00:03:47.300 we believe in the guardrails of the scriptures, 00:03:47.659 --> 00:03:50.819 the canon of the scriptures in regard to Genesis 00:03:50.819 --> 00:03:54.240 to Revelation. That creates the boundaries of... 00:03:54.490 --> 00:03:57.370 the revelation that our truth, in the midst of 00:03:57.370 --> 00:04:00.610 that truth, God speaks how to direct his church 00:04:00.610 --> 00:04:04.370 into the receiving of all that he's already written 00:04:04.370 --> 00:04:08.270 in there. And so he is trying to breathe, if 00:04:08.270 --> 00:04:12.990 you will, life into us to catch what the spirit 00:04:12.990 --> 00:04:17.589 of God is doing on the earth. And I believe more 00:04:17.589 --> 00:04:22.170 than ever that even the word today that AJ released, 00:04:22.889 --> 00:04:27.329 is absolutely in the timetable of what God is 00:04:27.329 --> 00:04:30.410 wanting to do for this house and not just Life 00:04:30.410 --> 00:04:33.610 Bible, but other houses. Because I believe that 00:04:33.610 --> 00:04:35.970 what we're going to hopefully get to this morning 00:04:35.970 --> 00:04:40.089 is to get you to understand that God is in the 00:04:40.089 --> 00:04:45.550 midst of wanting to call in the fullness. of 00:04:45.550 --> 00:04:48.370 the season that we're in, which is Pentecost, 00:04:48.470 --> 00:04:52.149 but you have to bridge the gap between what he 00:04:52.149 --> 00:04:55.209 did at Passover and what he did at Pentecost 00:04:55.209 --> 00:04:58.769 and where he's taking the church is moving us 00:04:58.769 --> 00:05:03.230 to a final feast time where the final ingathering 00:05:03.230 --> 00:05:05.970 of all that we should be doing is taking us. 00:05:06.009 --> 00:05:11.160 That's why he's breathing life. on these passages 00:05:11.160 --> 00:05:14.899 again in the scriptures. Now, God's word is good. 00:05:15.519 --> 00:05:19.779 He's doing things all the time that we just finally 00:05:19.779 --> 00:05:22.259 clue into. We can read things, we can understand 00:05:22.259 --> 00:05:25.220 things. And then in the season and the timing 00:05:25.220 --> 00:05:28.480 of God, he then breathes fresh on it. And all 00:05:28.480 --> 00:05:30.300 of a sudden, wow, I've read that, I don't know 00:05:30.300 --> 00:05:33.480 how many times, but that is what God is doing 00:05:33.480 --> 00:05:38.019 in this season. So I want us to, if you will, 00:05:38.120 --> 00:05:41.379 this might be a little more, I don't mean it 00:05:41.379 --> 00:05:44.620 to be, but a little more Bible college class 00:05:44.620 --> 00:05:50.660 set up here. So just kind of just say, like the 00:05:50.660 --> 00:05:56.019 body of Christ, I'm going to widen and enjoy 00:05:56.019 --> 00:06:02.949 the fatness of the word of God. Okay? We're talking 00:06:02.949 --> 00:06:06.029 about not only are there revelations of Passover 00:06:06.029 --> 00:06:09.050 and Pentecost in the scripture, but I believe 00:06:09.050 --> 00:06:13.470 that the New Testament reveals that all of the 00:06:13.470 --> 00:06:16.069 feasts of Israel, now when I say the feasts of 00:06:16.069 --> 00:06:20.670 Israel, I'm gonna bring them out of all the seven 00:06:20.670 --> 00:06:23.930 fullnesses of all that's there down to the three. 00:06:24.699 --> 00:06:27.600 that God highlighted in the scripture for those 00:06:27.600 --> 00:06:29.939 that are fairly new to the faith or haven't maybe 00:06:29.939 --> 00:06:33.339 studied much in the Bible. God made a prerequisite 00:06:33.339 --> 00:06:36.740 with the children of Israel, the nation of Israel, 00:06:36.800 --> 00:06:39.540 right from the beginning of the giving of the 00:06:39.540 --> 00:06:43.600 law as they came out of Exodus. He made a prerequisite 00:06:43.600 --> 00:06:46.980 that three times a year that God's people would 00:06:46.980 --> 00:06:51.459 appear before him. It was... and absolute. It 00:06:51.459 --> 00:06:54.740 was, you do not miss these services. They were 00:06:54.740 --> 00:06:58.680 week long. They involved sacrifices. They involved 00:06:58.680 --> 00:07:02.399 including of the Levites and the priesthood, 00:07:02.420 --> 00:07:05.839 all the congregation. It was a time of great 00:07:05.839 --> 00:07:10.040 celebration and it worked within God's holy calendar 00:07:10.040 --> 00:07:14.459 to progress the people of God forward and through 00:07:14.459 --> 00:07:18.639 the calendar year to get them to understand In 00:07:18.639 --> 00:07:20.819 multiple things. And I won't be able to even 00:07:20.819 --> 00:07:24.339 scratch the surface this morning. Of the depth 00:07:24.339 --> 00:07:28.120 of it. But to move them in progressive revelation. 00:07:28.240 --> 00:07:31.839 Now when I say progressive revelation. I am not 00:07:31.839 --> 00:07:35.439 using the word progressive as in liberal. Okay. 00:07:35.480 --> 00:07:38.579 I mean progressive according to the real root 00:07:38.579 --> 00:07:43.439 term. Is it moves you forward. How many know 00:07:43.439 --> 00:07:46.930 that. the very prophetic nature of God is to 00:07:46.930 --> 00:07:50.430 move you forward. The whole point is to get you 00:07:50.430 --> 00:07:54.709 from the place that you started into a greater 00:07:54.709 --> 00:07:58.430 understanding of who God is, how God works in 00:07:58.430 --> 00:08:01.649 you, the revelation of who he is, and the worship 00:08:01.649 --> 00:08:05.089 and the expression and the partnership and the 00:08:05.089 --> 00:08:11.850 depth of our intimacy is always about getting 00:08:11.850 --> 00:08:16.259 you closer in fellowship with the Lord than when 00:08:16.259 --> 00:08:20.189 you first started. And God would do this over 00:08:20.189 --> 00:08:23.149 and over in the Old Testament. And we have what 00:08:23.149 --> 00:08:26.269 we would call the every 50 year jubilee. And 00:08:26.269 --> 00:08:29.410 there would be a reset in the economy of God 00:08:29.410 --> 00:08:32.690 financially. There'd be a reset spiritually to 00:08:32.690 --> 00:08:35.429 inheritance that when the people would fail under 00:08:35.429 --> 00:08:37.870 the Old Testament system, there would always 00:08:37.870 --> 00:08:40.990 be a reset to start them again. Why? To try to 00:08:40.990 --> 00:08:44.820 get them to move forward. and to try to get them 00:08:44.820 --> 00:08:47.740 to actually embrace all that God wanted them 00:08:47.740 --> 00:08:51.919 to do. Now, here's the beauty about the New Testament. 00:08:52.019 --> 00:08:59.820 The New Testament is the fulfillment of the literal 00:08:59.820 --> 00:09:04.220 parts of those feasts, now bringing those truths 00:09:04.220 --> 00:09:08.899 into spiritual truths for you and I to participate 00:09:08.899 --> 00:09:12.509 in. I literally don't have to pick up three times 00:09:12.509 --> 00:09:20.110 a year and go to the land of Israel in the Middle 00:09:20.110 --> 00:09:23.610 East. I don't have to grab bulls and goats and 00:09:23.610 --> 00:09:28.370 I don't have to do that. That has all been fulfilled. 00:09:28.490 --> 00:09:31.730 Every one of the feasts, every one of those truths 00:09:31.730 --> 00:09:34.750 have been fulfilled in Christ. But here is the 00:09:34.750 --> 00:09:39.139 beauty of it. Even though they've been fulfilled 00:09:39.139 --> 00:09:44.139 naturally, there are aspects of those feasts 00:09:44.139 --> 00:09:48.740 that are being dealt with spiritually. Some have 00:09:48.740 --> 00:09:52.259 been fulfilled naturally and fulfilled spiritually. 00:09:52.679 --> 00:09:55.679 And some of the feasts, even though they're fulfilled 00:09:55.679 --> 00:09:59.720 naturally, are still in play and have not been 00:09:59.720 --> 00:10:04.580 fulfilled. And this is where we really need to 00:10:04.580 --> 00:10:12.440 get. excuse me, clued in because if we miss this 00:10:12.440 --> 00:10:18.740 understanding, we would tend to build a camp 00:10:18.740 --> 00:10:23.639 around ourselves. We would just celebrate what 00:10:23.639 --> 00:10:27.679 Jesus did for me personally and we would take 00:10:27.679 --> 00:10:32.559 salvation alone for ourself and we would not 00:10:32.559 --> 00:10:36.370 actually anchor ourselves in to the progression 00:10:36.370 --> 00:10:40.149 that God wants to do with you personally in extending 00:10:40.149 --> 00:10:43.110 this understanding of what feast you're in and 00:10:43.110 --> 00:10:47.250 why it connects to his work now in this time 00:10:47.250 --> 00:10:49.429 and this season called the Great Commission and 00:10:49.429 --> 00:10:52.409 how it connects you to what he's building in 00:10:52.409 --> 00:10:55.350 the church for its purpose, its value, and what 00:10:55.350 --> 00:10:57.809 you should be operating in. If you don't get 00:10:57.809 --> 00:11:01.389 it, you actually... wrongly, and I'm just going 00:11:01.389 --> 00:11:04.350 to say that, it's wrong, not in my opinion, biblically, 00:11:04.529 --> 00:11:08.070 it's wrong to pull everything that God is doing 00:11:08.070 --> 00:11:13.129 and attribute it just to you. Now start with 00:11:13.129 --> 00:11:18.289 you. Yes, he starts with awakening your heart, 00:11:18.370 --> 00:11:21.110 awakening your mind, and bringing you into the 00:11:21.110 --> 00:11:24.649 truth of salvation. But just as we should tell 00:11:24.649 --> 00:11:28.899 our little children, you're not the center. Of 00:11:28.899 --> 00:11:33.679 the universe. We don't sing the worship song 00:11:33.679 --> 00:11:38.559 to you. It's all about you. No, it's all about 00:11:38.559 --> 00:11:42.960 Jesus. Right? Sometimes we turn that worship 00:11:42.960 --> 00:11:47.879 song. It's all about me. No, it's not about me. 00:11:49.039 --> 00:11:54.299 God loved me. Gave himself for me. But he actually 00:11:54.299 --> 00:11:59.220 has a mandate and a plan. that actually I should 00:11:59.220 --> 00:12:03.860 see in this holy word that is written all the 00:12:03.860 --> 00:12:07.460 way through. And sometimes because of all of 00:12:07.460 --> 00:12:13.139 the nonsense that we listen to people rather 00:12:13.139 --> 00:12:15.740 than actually see the patterns that is in the 00:12:15.740 --> 00:12:19.240 word and actually have biblical sound teaching, 00:12:19.460 --> 00:12:22.779 we absolutely can get diverted from what God 00:12:22.779 --> 00:12:28.159 wants to do. Now listen. As we look at the progression, 00:12:28.399 --> 00:12:31.320 I need you to understand, the whole point of 00:12:31.320 --> 00:12:34.960 the feasts naturally was to progress them through 00:12:34.960 --> 00:12:40.220 the year and to celebrate God's truth as it unfolds 00:12:40.220 --> 00:12:43.779 to them. For us, it's the same principle. From 00:12:43.779 --> 00:12:47.679 Passover, which is what? Jesus Christ's cross 00:12:47.679 --> 00:12:52.679 and resurrection. The lamb slain. The taking 00:12:52.679 --> 00:12:56.830 of a household, the lamb in the household. Those 00:12:56.830 --> 00:12:59.629 that would receive the blood on the doorpost, 00:12:59.750 --> 00:13:02.549 which was Passover. Those now who receive the 00:13:02.549 --> 00:13:05.669 blood of Jesus over the doorpost of their heart, 00:13:05.769 --> 00:13:10.129 their mind and all and bring the Lord into their 00:13:10.129 --> 00:13:15.289 house. That represents salvation. The whole point 00:13:15.289 --> 00:13:18.549 of salvation then is to what? Notice there's 00:13:18.549 --> 00:13:23.620 two more feasts. If it was all about just salvation, 00:13:23.679 --> 00:13:28.240 we would have stopped right at Passover. Come 00:13:28.240 --> 00:13:33.000 on, church. I mean, where we get this idea in 00:13:33.000 --> 00:13:36.279 Western thinking and understanding is somehow 00:13:36.279 --> 00:13:40.460 it's only about us and God only wants us to go 00:13:40.460 --> 00:13:43.440 to heaven. Yes, that's the A part of the equation, 00:13:43.580 --> 00:13:46.299 but there's a B part of the equation that goes 00:13:46.299 --> 00:13:52.240 with it. Pentecost. And why Pentecost is so important 00:13:52.240 --> 00:13:57.299 is it sets the framework of the kingdom of God 00:13:57.299 --> 00:14:03.899 in our spiritual template. If you and I misunderstand 00:14:03.899 --> 00:14:09.600 Pentecost and we just see it as a charismatic 00:14:09.600 --> 00:14:15.059 Pentecostal expression, we have come woefully, 00:14:15.139 --> 00:14:18.840 woefully short. Of what God was actually trying 00:14:18.840 --> 00:14:22.399 to impart to his whole church. And what we've 00:14:22.399 --> 00:14:26.379 made it is. We've made it some form of denominational. 00:14:26.379 --> 00:14:29.620 Or certain expression of the body of Christ. 00:14:29.720 --> 00:14:33.570 Where evangelicals and now. Pentecostal believers 00:14:33.570 --> 00:14:35.769 who believe in the outpouring of the Spirit are 00:14:35.769 --> 00:14:39.350 divided and the highest common denominator now 00:14:39.350 --> 00:14:42.629 between all of the body of Christ in Western 00:14:42.629 --> 00:14:46.649 America or culture is only the cross and the 00:14:46.649 --> 00:14:51.769 resurrection. How pathetic is that? That's right, 00:14:51.850 --> 00:14:53.470 it is pathetic. I'll answer the question for 00:14:53.470 --> 00:14:57.929 you. It is pathetic. It's pathetic that we would 00:14:57.929 --> 00:15:02.070 divide. over something that is so clearly laid 00:15:02.070 --> 00:15:05.289 out that all of God's church should be operating 00:15:05.289 --> 00:15:10.889 in. Pentecost reminds us that it is God's will 00:15:10.889 --> 00:15:15.009 and plan to release, please hear me, to release 00:15:15.009 --> 00:15:19.190 his kingdom through his Holy Spirit and his word. 00:15:20.610 --> 00:15:23.470 Remember, that was Jesus' main thing. If you're 00:15:23.470 --> 00:15:26.370 going to worship me, the day is coming. Oh, by 00:15:26.370 --> 00:15:31.149 the way, it's now. why two worshipers will worship 00:15:31.149 --> 00:15:36.690 him in spirit and in truth. The whole part of 00:15:36.690 --> 00:15:39.129 Pentecost, if I could just kind of summarize 00:15:39.129 --> 00:15:41.950 what I want to dive into and look at some nuances 00:15:41.950 --> 00:15:45.950 today, the whole part of it is to get you to 00:15:45.950 --> 00:15:53.090 actually embrace a king and his kingdom and the 00:15:53.090 --> 00:15:57.899 source of how he moves the kingdom forward. If 00:15:57.899 --> 00:16:01.340 it was only by the word, he would have never 00:16:01.340 --> 00:16:03.919 told the disciples to wait for power from on 00:16:03.919 --> 00:16:08.019 high. If it was only about just having a first 00:16:08.019 --> 00:16:11.539 eyewitness account and having the word of what 00:16:11.539 --> 00:16:15.720 they've known as good Jewish disciples under 00:16:15.720 --> 00:16:21.200 a Jewish master, teacher, leader, it would have 00:16:21.200 --> 00:16:26.399 never needed Pentecost. But the point is, God 00:16:26.399 --> 00:16:30.259 goes out of his way, so much out of his way that 00:16:30.259 --> 00:16:33.580 he actually ties it to the 10 days. Why? Why 00:16:33.580 --> 00:16:36.220 is 10 significant? Because 10 always represents 00:16:36.220 --> 00:16:41.279 law. God gave the 10 commandments of Moses to 00:16:41.279 --> 00:16:44.059 establish something. We have no problem taking 00:16:44.059 --> 00:16:47.279 the 10 and understanding it's connected to the 00:16:47.279 --> 00:16:51.399 nature and the character. of a righteous, holy, 00:16:51.519 --> 00:16:54.419 and awesome God. Why do we have a problem in 00:16:54.419 --> 00:16:57.019 church land connecting the 10 days of waiting 00:16:57.019 --> 00:17:00.720 to the nature and the character of his power, 00:17:00.840 --> 00:17:03.399 his authority, and the extending of the kingdom? 00:17:05.099 --> 00:17:09.759 Because it's a spiritual truth. The 10 was a 00:17:09.759 --> 00:17:14.799 big, big sign that says, I'm bringing you into. 00:17:15.759 --> 00:17:20.059 A closed law has been fulfilled, but a spiritual 00:17:20.059 --> 00:17:24.640 law and the root of all spiritual truth is now 00:17:24.640 --> 00:17:28.660 being opened to you with what will fall. This 00:17:28.660 --> 00:17:33.079 is really important. Pentecost is about God establishing 00:17:33.079 --> 00:17:37.900 in very clear terms that Jesus is the cornerstone 00:17:37.900 --> 00:17:41.539 and the head of his church. Pentecost makes it 00:17:41.539 --> 00:17:46.250 clear that Jesus empowers his people With wind, 00:17:46.369 --> 00:17:53.609 fire, and power, and a new language. Wind, fire, 00:17:53.890 --> 00:18:00.349 power, and a new language. That event is unmistakable. 00:18:00.829 --> 00:18:06.190 And through Pentecost, Jesus reveals to us the 00:18:06.190 --> 00:18:09.589 elements of partnership with the heart of God 00:18:09.589 --> 00:18:13.190 in both celebrating it and keeping this feast 00:18:13.190 --> 00:18:18.519 spiritually. Pentecost is about walking in the 00:18:18.519 --> 00:18:21.480 purpose. Now here it is, because we gotta get 00:18:21.480 --> 00:18:24.940 this. It's walking in the purpose of the Great 00:18:24.940 --> 00:18:30.000 Commission and welcoming the Holy Spirit as we 00:18:30.000 --> 00:18:35.119 receive his baptism, his fillings, his impartations, 00:18:35.119 --> 00:18:38.920 and his spiritual gifts. We partner with him 00:18:38.920 --> 00:18:44.259 because he is God as he. uses us to fulfill his 00:18:44.259 --> 00:18:48.960 kingdom mandate. That is pretty stinking simple. 00:18:50.859 --> 00:18:55.079 And yet we have whole movements that try to divide 00:18:55.079 --> 00:18:59.339 out, well, that was only for just the apostles' 00:18:59.500 --> 00:19:04.619 age. Let me just ask you a question, or maybe 00:19:04.619 --> 00:19:06.819 a series of rhetorical questions, which means 00:19:06.819 --> 00:19:14.200 I will answer them for you. It means, are we 00:19:14.200 --> 00:19:19.220 still called to plant churches, share the gospel, 00:19:19.400 --> 00:19:23.440 and that God is involved in not only the releasing 00:19:23.440 --> 00:19:26.160 of his message of love and truth of Jesus Christ, 00:19:26.240 --> 00:19:29.240 to plant churches where he's building people 00:19:29.240 --> 00:19:32.940 to become part of his family, his bride. Is that 00:19:32.940 --> 00:19:36.880 still going on? Okay, that was about three quarters 00:19:36.880 --> 00:19:39.720 of a year. Is that still going on?
