But he does 00:06:06.810 --> 00:06:10.350 the spiritual work, but he also asks us to cooperate 00:06:10.350 --> 00:06:14.149 with him to do the practical work of verse seven. 00:06:14.209 --> 00:06:16.470 He says, come on, share your food with the hungry, 00:06:16.569 --> 00:06:20.680 provide shelter. And I finished off really by 00:06:20.680 --> 00:06:23.399 saying, and don't turn away from your own flesh 00:06:23.399 --> 00:06:26.399 and blood. And how often in our first world nations, 00:06:26.500 --> 00:06:29.040 both Britain and America, we've been missionary 00:06:29.040 --> 00:06:31.879 sending nations, we've been generous, we've been 00:06:31.879 --> 00:06:36.500 very humanitarian in supporting the poor and 00:06:36.500 --> 00:06:39.379 needy of the third world nations. But often we 00:06:39.379 --> 00:06:41.439 turn away from our own flesh and blood in our 00:06:41.439 --> 00:06:44.399 own streets. And we need a fresh revelation of 00:06:44.399 --> 00:06:48.819 how do we turn towards our own and provide practical 00:06:48.879 --> 00:06:52.079 help and care for them, as well as the spiritual 00:06:52.079 --> 00:06:54.560 and the natural coming together. How does heaven 00:06:54.560 --> 00:06:57.500 touch earth and then earth touch heaven? How 00:06:57.500 --> 00:06:59.879 do we create those lightning conductors for the 00:06:59.879 --> 00:07:02.560 power of God to break through in our communities 00:07:02.560 --> 00:07:05.560 and our parts of geography? And so we looked 00:07:05.560 --> 00:07:09.420 at this chapter and how from verse two to verse 00:07:09.420 --> 00:07:12.639 five, God is wrestling with this people saying, 00:07:12.779 --> 00:07:15.399 you think you can tick a lot of boxes and you're 00:07:15.399 --> 00:07:18.040 doing well, but I've got issue with even your 00:07:18.089 --> 00:07:20.829 your fasting and your sacrifice. You think you're 00:07:20.829 --> 00:07:24.290 a spiritual good people making sacrifice, fasting 00:07:24.290 --> 00:07:27.529 and praying, but actually so much of your motivation 00:07:27.529 --> 00:07:30.850 is self -motivated. Because if God doesn't turn 00:07:30.850 --> 00:07:33.829 up when you want in the way you want, your fasting 00:07:33.829 --> 00:07:36.810 and seeking, which appears to put God first, 00:07:37.009 --> 00:07:40.329 actually ends in an attitude of fighting God 00:07:40.329 --> 00:07:43.660 and accusing him. And so you say, look, God, 00:07:43.680 --> 00:07:45.699 we're doing all this for you. Where are you when 00:07:45.699 --> 00:07:48.639 we need you? You know, your attitude is very 00:07:48.639 --> 00:07:51.560 quickly, God, I've humbled myself. God, I prayed, 00:07:51.660 --> 00:07:53.639 but you don't keep your side of the bargain. 00:07:53.699 --> 00:07:56.160 And God says, you know what? That isn't the attitude 00:07:56.160 --> 00:08:00.100 that draws the heart of God. But I've never 00:08:56.649 --> 00:08:59.769 really felt a great sense of call spiritually 00:08:59.769 --> 00:09:03.570 to the south except to go home but i've always 00:09:03.570 --> 00:09:05.809 felt this connection to the west which is more 00:09:05.809 --> 00:09:08.289 inconvenient it's much longer flight greater 00:09:08.289 --> 00:09:10.730 time shift and everyone says why don't you go 00:09:10.730 --> 00:09:13.110 to you know old england new england all that 00:09:13.110 --> 00:09:15.990 i said i don't know i'm west coast girl I feel 00:09:15.990 --> 00:09:18.169 there's something in the West Coast that I want 00:09:18.169 --> 00:09:20.809 to just break through. There's something here 00:09:20.809 --> 00:09:23.210 of a breakthrough anointing. I believe in this 00:09:23.210 --> 00:09:25.929 geography. There's something of the mandate of 00:09:25.929 --> 00:09:29.409 God. Prophetically, the pioneer forerunner spirit 00:09:29.409 --> 00:09:33.129 is in this land, both in the natural and I believe 00:09:33.129 --> 00:09:35.690 in the spiritual. And so there needs to be the 00:09:35.690 --> 00:09:39.710 then. It will break through. How many of you 00:09:39.710 --> 00:09:43.490 want that then? And you see, when we look 00:10:19.710 --> 00:10:23.049 at Isaiah 58, it's that transitional chapter 00:10:23.049 --> 00:10:26.929 in the prophetic flow of Isaiah. If you read 00:10:26.929 --> 00:10:30.230 back about Isaiah 35, the book suddenly takes 00:10:30.230 --> 00:10:32.850 a step up. The first chapters of Isaiah, much 00:10:32.850 --> 00:10:35.289 more about sin, about nations and all sorts of 00:10:35.289 --> 00:10:38.029 stuff. And just giving a general overview of 00:10:38.029 --> 00:10:40.570 the spiritual state of nations. And you get to 00:10:40.570 --> 00:10:43.230 Isaiah 35 and suddenly the prophet Isaiah begins 00:10:43.230 --> 00:10:45.110 to say, but there's something going to break 00:10:45.110 --> 00:10:47.649 forth. This wilderness is going to blossom like 00:10:47.649 --> 00:10:50.320 a rose. rose and the lame will leap. A highway 00:10:50.320 --> 00:10:52.600 of our God will be made there. Then you come 00:10:52.600 --> 00:10:55.820 to Isaiah 40. Comfort, comfort my people. Prepare 00:10:55.820 --> 00:10:59.360 a highway for our God. Again, let that prophetic 00:10:59.360 --> 00:11:01.370 sound cry out. Out in the wilderness, prepare 00:11:01.370 --> 00:11:04.070 a way from our God. You know that scripture, 00:11:39.299 --> 00:11:43.879 Isaiah 40. Then we come on to 55. Ho, everyone 00:11:43.879 --> 00:11:47.440 that's thirsty. 54, which is sing, O barren one. 00:11:47.799 --> 00:11:50.480 Enlarge the place of your tent. And so it goes 00:11:50.480 --> 00:11:53.460 on. And then you feel the crescendo and suddenly 00:11:53.460 --> 00:11:59.600 it's 58, which says, whoa. Because I believe 00:13:03.570 --> 00:13:06.149 many of those Isaiah scriptures, arise, shine, 00:13:06.289 --> 00:13:09.330 have been prophetic words. But there's an if 00:13:09.330 --> 00:13:13.379 in there. There's a then. And so God is saying, 00:13:13.460 --> 00:13:16.539 come on, then if you begin to get hold of the 00:13:16.539 --> 00:13:18.740 understanding of the deliverance anointing that 00:13:18.740 --> 00:13:21.259 really breaks through, if you begin to understand 00:13:21.259 --> 00:13:25.720 the generosity to the poor and needy, the practical 00:13:25.720 --> 00:13:29.220 expression of helping little people look better, 00:13:29.279 --> 00:13:35.480 practically, not just spiritually, then something's 00:13:35.480 --> 00:13:37.620 going to break through. But when we get 00:14:29.220 --> 00:14:32.879 certain pieces in place, then this light will 00:14:32.879 --> 00:14:36.879 break forth as the dawn. So there's no 00:24:17.200 --> 00:24:20.039 rules, but there are principles where we walk 00:24:20.039 --> 00:24:23.539 hearing the sound of God so that we are always 00:24:23.539 --> 00:24:29.099 hitting the bullseye. Then our righteousness 00:24:29.099 --> 00:24:35.380 leads us. And when we're walking like that, something 00:24:35.380 --> 00:24:39.319 else is following us. The rear guard of his glory. 00:24:39.440 --> 00:24:41.619 Because guess what? God always blesses what he 00:24:41.619 --> 00:24:47.519 orders. For even Jesus, 00:25:39.500 --> 00:25:43.900 he saw the cross, but he knew that was his bullseye. 00:25:45.700 --> 00:25:49.359 And so he says, I fixed my eyes for the joy that 00:25:49.359 --> 00:25:51.140 was set before me because I knew I had to hit 00:25:51.140 --> 00:25:56.200 it. And so even though I walk through, not walk 00:25:56.200 --> 00:25:59.759 away, walk through the valley of the shadow of 00:25:59.759 --> 00:26:02.019 death, I fear no evil. Healing begins to come forth. And so the breakthrough is happening 00:27:29.049 --> 00:27:30.930 at both dimensions. It's happening vertically 00:27:30.930 --> 00:27:34.109 towards God. Suddenly heaven draws nearer, earth 00:27:34.109 --> 00:27:36.329 draws nearer. So twice in this chapter, he's like, you 00:28:21.240 --> 00:28:23.380 could feel the prophetic urgency wanting to say, 00:28:23.400 --> 00:28:26.279 come on, Northwest, it's breakthrough. But if, 00:28:26.319 --> 00:28:28.460 if, if, oh, it's breakthrough. Oh, no, I've still 00:28:28.460 --> 00:28:37.079 got to underline. If, if, if, if. If you do away 00:28:37.079 --> 00:28:40.440 with the yoke of oppression. So I looked at this 00:28:40.440 --> 00:28:43.980 yoke of oppression. And interestingly, it's different. 00:28:44.610 --> 00:28:47.789 from the set the oppressed free at the end of 00:28:47.789 --> 00:28:51.150 verse 6. There, setting the oppressed free is 00:28:51.150 --> 00:28:54.910 much more about demonic atmospheres. It's the 00:28:54.910 --> 00:28:57.650 oppressive atmospheres. But this yoke of oppression, 00:28:58.029 --> 00:29:00.789 when you look at it and look at other translations, 00:29:01.069 --> 00:29:04.569 it's to do with the oppression that we as people 00:29:04.569 --> 00:29:09.890 exert over others. It's mainly the yoke of oppression. 00:29:09.990 --> 00:29:13.509 Let me just read here. This is not the enemy's 00:29:13.509 --> 00:29:15.910 oppressive spirit, but this is the oppressive 00:29:15.910 --> 00:29:21.119 atmosphere felt by injustice. And it literally 00:29:21.119 --> 00:29:25.279 is unreasonable expectation of authority and 00:29:25.279 --> 00:29:30.460 powers that can bring abuse or difficulty. And 00:29:30.460 --> 00:29:32.859 so God's saying, I want to give you such a breakthrough 00:29:32.859 --> 00:29:36.680 of glory and breakthrough, but you must get off 00:29:36.680 --> 00:29:39.039 that yoke of oppression. Because how many know, 00:29:39.140 --> 00:29:41.880 if we want to be those that carry the signs and 00:29:41.880 --> 00:29:44.339 wonders of God, if that power goes to our head, 00:29:44.380 --> 00:29:47.500 we are dangerous people. And so it's like the 00:29:47.500 --> 00:29:49.779 prophet says, oh, God wants to put such glory 00:29:49.779 --> 00:29:52.619 on, but you must deal with every yoke of oppression. 00:29:52.819 --> 00:29:56.299 We must deal with leadership that begins to lord 00:29:56.299 --> 00:29:59.319 over rather than serve. It's the picture of the slave 00:30:14.700 --> 00:30:16.819 drivers, the masters, you know, where we just 00:30:16.819 --> 00:30:19.940 master people and say, you will do it. I'm the 00:30:19.940 --> 00:30:25.359 boss. And all of us have been in those environments 00:30:25.359 --> 00:30:27.640 where suddenly when the breakthrough of God comes, 00:30:27.900 --> 00:30:34.799 we begin to think the power belongs to us. It 00:30:34.799 --> 00:30:37.440 says you've got to deal with that attitude and 00:30:37.440 --> 00:30:40.880 that propensity or that sort of weakness that 00:30:40.880 --> 00:30:44.980 goes towards.
