What do you want to say? Because I think 00:05:02.240 --> 00:05:04.839 you need to understand that when God brings you 00:05:04.839 --> 00:05:09.980 from a place through significant breakthroughs 00:05:09.980 --> 00:05:13.819 in your journey in Christianity, every time you 00:05:13.819 --> 00:05:17.480 get from a place of a high place in God, you 00:05:17.480 --> 00:05:21.379 come to another place where you have to allow 00:05:21.379 --> 00:05:28.089 the Spirit of God to test you. If you don't allow 00:05:28.089 --> 00:05:31.730 that truth of what took place on the mountaintop, 00:05:31.730 --> 00:05:36.410 let's say in a high place in God, it isn't in 00:05:36.410 --> 00:05:39.170 you if it doesn't stay in the regular journey. 00:05:40.230 --> 00:05:43.610 He doesn't just want you to touch it as though 00:05:43.610 --> 00:05:46.269 it belongs to somewhere else. No, he expects that to get in 00:06:04.290 --> 00:06:06.129 your heart. That's what he did in John chapter 00:06:06.129 --> 00:06:09.250 six. And he did with Philip at the breaking of 00:06:09.250 --> 00:06:12.550 the bread. Remember, Jesus knew what he was gonna 00:06:12.550 --> 00:06:14.709 do, but he turned to Philip and he said, Philip, 00:06:14.750 --> 00:06:18.459 John six, he said, What are we going to do with 00:06:18.459 --> 00:06:20.839 all these people? And Philip looked at the crowds 00:06:20.839 --> 00:06:22.540 and he looked at the time of day and he said, 00:06:22.579 --> 00:06:25.319 Lord, it's going to take more than 200 denarii. 00:06:25.319 --> 00:06:28.600 I mean, two thirds of a year's worth of wages 00:06:28.600 --> 00:06:32.220 to feed even this people just a little bit. But 00:06:32.220 --> 00:06:35.660 Jesus, and it says in the text, John 6, and Jesus 00:06:35.660 --> 00:06:39.540 said this to prove what was in Philip's heart. 00:06:40.160 --> 00:06:44.800 And that word means when you walk with the Lord 00:06:44.800 --> 00:06:48.689 and you begin to see, Great things of God begin 00:06:48.689 --> 00:06:51.089 to break place. There comes other times where 00:06:51.089 --> 00:06:54.230 you run into circumstances and you run into places 00:06:54.230 --> 00:06:58.050 in your life after a high place moment that you 00:06:58.050 --> 00:07:02.949 come to a place that you're either going to trust 00:07:02.949 --> 00:07:06.870 God at a new level and be in rest and peace because 00:07:06.870 --> 00:07:10.089 you've just now learned from what you walked 00:07:10.089 --> 00:07:13.910 in or you're going to just kind of get into a 00:07:13.910 --> 00:07:16.670 place and the rut that you've always been, and 00:07:16.670 --> 00:07:19.410 I'm going to call it this way, you kind of just 00:07:19.410 --> 00:07:23.509 undo your belt and just kind of bleh, and you 00:07:23.509 --> 00:07:26.769 just kind of just puke out all the negative emotions 00:07:26.769 --> 00:07:30.269 and puke out your frustrations, and you get into 00:07:30.269 --> 00:07:32.430 a place where you just kind of let down and get 00:07:32.430 --> 00:07:35.829 frustrated with life. Has anybody ever done the 00:07:35.829 --> 00:07:39.029 latter? Okay, you don't have to raise your hand. 00:07:39.129 --> 00:07:40.810 You don't want to be known for that. Now, 00:07:49.759 --> 00:07:52.079 let me just bring you a little history with the 00:07:52.079 --> 00:07:54.720 children of Israel. Because the Bible says in 00:07:54.720 --> 00:07:58.279 1 Corinthians chapter 10, and you should go back 00:07:58.279 --> 00:08:00.100 and you should read this because it's very, very 00:08:00.100 --> 00:08:03.779 important. 1 Corinthians chapter 10, verses 1 00:08:03.779 --> 00:08:07.639 through 15. it begins to list what God did with 00:08:07.639 --> 00:08:10.399 the children of Israel. It says, our forefathers 00:08:10.399 --> 00:08:14.980 all ate the same spiritual food. They all drank 00:08:14.980 --> 00:08:18.680 the same spiritual drink. They came out of Egypt. 00:08:18.699 --> 00:08:20.759 They went through the waters of the Red Sea, 00:08:20.839 --> 00:08:24.000 which is a type of water baptism. They came out 00:08:24.000 --> 00:08:25.980 of that to the mountain of the Lord, which is 00:08:25.980 --> 00:08:28.759 a type of Holy Spirit encounter. And they all 00:08:28.759 --> 00:08:31.399 went to the place where the bitter waters were 00:08:31.399 --> 00:08:33.960 and the tree fell in and God revealed himself 00:08:33.960 --> 00:08:38.340 as. Jehovah Rapha. And then they came to this 00:08:38.340 --> 00:08:40.519 place. And now we're catching you up to Exodus 00:08:40.519 --> 00:08:46.120 17. They came to a place called Rephidim. And 00:08:46.120 --> 00:08:48.639 Rephidim is important that you understand this. 00:08:48.720 --> 00:08:50.899 I'm just going to kind of just preach from what 00:08:50.899 --> 00:08:53.379 my notes are in my heart because I got it in 00:08:53.379 --> 00:08:55.200 my spirit. And so I'm just going to kind of talk 00:08:55.200 --> 00:08:59.919 to you. Rephidim means a place where you are 00:08:59.919 --> 00:09:05.990 to spread out. A place where you now recognize 00:09:05.990 --> 00:09:11.169 either two things. It was meant to actually bring 00:09:11.169 --> 00:09:16.610 you rest and peace and confidence in who was 00:09:16.610 --> 00:09:21.049 leading you or Rephidim became what it was to 00:09:21.049 --> 00:09:24.789 the children of Israel, renamed place that Moses 00:09:24.789 --> 00:09:29.950 named, you came to Massah and Meribah. No, no, 00:09:29.970 --> 00:09:32.389 no, Moses, they came to Rephidim. No, they didn't. 00:09:32.389 --> 00:09:35.789 They didn't do Rephidim. They did Massah and 00:09:35.789 --> 00:09:40.460 Meribah. They were supposed to spread out. They 00:09:40.460 --> 00:09:43.200 were supposed to relax. They were supposed to 00:09:43.200 --> 00:09:46.299 actually have such confidence in God that coming 00:09:46.299 --> 00:09:49.500 to a place that did not have any water did not 00:09:49.500 --> 00:09:53.200 affect them at all because they understood who 00:09:53.200 --> 00:09:56.059 had been leading them, who had been guiding them, 00:09:56.159 --> 00:10:00.179 and they moved now from their own works and fear 00:10:00.179 --> 00:10:06.110 and anxiety to a place of trust. It was what 00:10:06.110 --> 00:10:09.610 Hebrews says in Hebrews chapter four, it was 00:10:09.610 --> 00:10:13.289 supposed to be a place of rest, not rest as in, 00:10:13.350 --> 00:10:16.509 oh man, I need to catch up on some sleep, but 00:10:16.509 --> 00:10:20.889 rest as in, I don't have to strive. I don't have 00:10:20.889 --> 00:10:25.009 to worry. I don't have to make something happen 00:10:25.009 --> 00:10:29.190 myself. The God in who's covenanted with me actually 00:10:29.190 --> 00:10:33.539 will take care of me. It won't be like what I 00:10:33.539 --> 00:10:37.120 thought before. Something has changed. God has 00:10:37.120 --> 00:10:40.159 covenanted with me personally. I now have been 00:10:40.159 --> 00:10:43.860 brought into his family. You see now, why is 00:10:43.860 --> 00:10:46.799 this important for the church today? Here we 00:10:46.799 --> 00:10:49.080 are in the New Testament to get this understanding 00:10:49.080 --> 00:10:52.259 because if we don't understand what the children 00:10:52.259 --> 00:10:55.940 of Israel came out of and what they fought through, 00:10:56.509 --> 00:10:58.909 Like the scripture says, and I'm just going to 00:10:58.909 --> 00:11:01.710 quote it right from first Corinthians 10. I think 00:11:01.710 --> 00:11:05.289 it's right in 15 or 17. It says, and these examples 00:11:05.289 --> 00:11:09.470 were written down for those on whom the end of 00:11:09.470 --> 00:11:15.480 the ages falls. Meaning God made sure. That we 00:11:15.480 --> 00:11:18.700 would understand the story, not just the story, 00:11:18.759 --> 00:11:21.960 the historical account, the spiritual truths 00:11:21.960 --> 00:11:25.600 that came from getting the mindset of slavery, 00:11:25.899 --> 00:11:29.220 the mindset of being bound out of the children 00:11:29.220 --> 00:11:32.360 of Israel and how God revealed himself. And he 00:11:32.360 --> 00:11:35.279 always brings you to a place where there is a 00:11:35.279 --> 00:11:38.519 carryover, where you will now leave your old 00:11:38.519 --> 00:11:41.340 behind and you'll begin to walk in the power 00:11:41.340 --> 00:11:44.490 of new that he guides you in. He said, those 00:11:44.490 --> 00:11:47.110 are written down for us. So that's why he says 00:11:47.110 --> 00:11:50.629 they ate the same spiritual food. They drank 00:11:50.629 --> 00:11:54.850 the same spiritual drink. And he said, but with 00:11:54.850 --> 00:11:57.570 many of them, God was not well pleased. And then 00:11:57.570 --> 00:12:00.409 he lists the things that they rose up to play, 00:12:00.629 --> 00:12:04.529 which is a play on words of they became immoral, 00:12:04.669 --> 00:12:08.269 sexually immoral. They grumbled and complained. 00:12:08.389 --> 00:12:13.529 And it literally says, and the destroyer. destroyed 00:12:13.529 --> 00:12:17.059 them. Read it in the New Testament, ESV. And 00:12:17.059 --> 00:12:20.220 the destroyer destroyed them. That word destroyer 00:12:20.220 --> 00:12:23.399 is the word Apollyon. It's used in Revelation 00:12:23.399 --> 00:12:26.799 and it says, and the king of the bottomless pit, 00:12:26.919 --> 00:12:30.720 name in Greek is Apollyon. In Hebrew, his name 00:12:30.720 --> 00:12:33.840 is Abaddon. It means that they grumbled and complained 00:12:33.840 --> 00:12:38.799 and opened a spiritual link up over their lives 00:12:38.799 --> 00:12:41.639 that the destroyer had legal right, even though 00:12:41.639 --> 00:12:45.980 they were the children of the living God. Now 00:12:45.980 --> 00:12:49.519 that was later on in their journey. The first 00:12:49.519 --> 00:12:54.500 thing they came into after the plagues, after 00:12:54.500 --> 00:12:58.080 the Red Sea, and then after Jesus healed the 00:12:58.080 --> 00:13:02.200 waters is this place called Rephidim. Now this 00:13:02.200 --> 00:13:05.320 is important because, let me just take you on 00:13:05.320 --> 00:13:06.779 a journey. Are you okay with that? Just kind 00:13:06.779 --> 00:13:08.580 of just, you and I are gonna move along together 00:13:08.580 --> 00:13:14.100 here. What we don't understand about the plagues 00:13:14.100 --> 00:13:19.049 is this. is that many people read the story of 00:13:19.049 --> 00:13:24.450 the plagues, but they don't know the nation of 00:13:24.450 --> 00:13:29.070 Egypt, nor how the culture of the occult was 00:13:29.070 --> 00:13:33.149 tied into the world system that was Egypt. Meaning, 00:13:33.309 --> 00:13:38.620 how many... have known this fact that there is 00:13:38.620 --> 00:13:42.980 a pantheon of gods in Egypt and that each plague 00:13:42.980 --> 00:13:46.480 that God decided to show was a direct shot at 00:13:46.480 --> 00:13:48.860 one of the Egyptian deities. How many knew that? 00:13:49.460 --> 00:13:53.259 Okay, about a third of us. Meaning that every 00:13:53.259 --> 00:13:57.080 plague that was done, the water turning to blood, 00:13:57.240 --> 00:14:01.710 the gnats, the flies. the boils, the darkness. 00:14:01.909 --> 00:14:05.070 The darkness plague was a direct shot at Ra, 00:14:05.230 --> 00:14:08.649 the sun god. The killing of the firstborn was 00:14:08.649 --> 00:14:12.690 a direct shot at Pharaoh being the God over all 00:14:12.690 --> 00:14:15.950 gods of the country and that he alone had life 00:14:15.950 --> 00:14:19.450 and power and that God revealed at every level. 00:14:19.490 --> 00:14:22.269 There was Newt, there was Hecate. I mean, I could 00:14:22.269 --> 00:14:26.529 go down through the 10 deities of the Egyptian 00:14:26.529 --> 00:14:30.490 culture of what they worshiped and the Lord as 00:14:30.490 --> 00:14:36.629 sovereign God destroyed at every level, Egypt's 00:14:36.629 --> 00:14:39.950 trust in their God. That's why Pharaoh, if you'll 00:14:39.950 --> 00:14:42.850 get behind it, that's why Pharaoh called the 00:14:42.850 --> 00:14:47.049 magicians and the occultists at every confrontation 00:14:47.049 --> 00:14:51.549 with Moses and Aaron is that the occultists were 00:14:51.549 --> 00:14:56.490 behind the gods that Egypt worshiped. So you 00:14:56.490 --> 00:14:58.429 need to understand something right from the very 00:14:58.429 --> 00:15:01.490 beginning. When you understand a world system, 00:15:01.730 --> 00:15:05.190 you have to understand that the powers of darkness, 00:15:05.799 --> 00:15:09.059 The Bible talks about this. The powers of darkness 00:15:09.059 --> 00:15:13.600 and occult power operates in a world system. 00:15:14.279 --> 00:15:16.639 That's why the Bible says in Ephesians chapter 00:15:16.639 --> 00:15:21.480 two, let me quote it. And the gods of this world 00:15:21.480 --> 00:15:24.980 rule over the sons and daughters of disobedience. 00:15:26.759 --> 00:15:30.659 That's what it says. I'm just quoting it verbatim. 00:15:31.299 --> 00:15:35.259 Meaning what? That a world system that elevates 00:15:35.259 --> 00:15:40.059 the flesh, that elevates self -will, always has 00:15:40.059 --> 00:15:43.600 a cult power to it because that's how the world 00:15:43.600 --> 00:15:48.009 stays in power, manipulates through. through 00:15:48.009 --> 00:15:51.409 deception and through power. And if you remember 00:15:51.409 --> 00:15:55.529 the children of Israel, they were bound in those 00:15:55.529 --> 00:15:59.929 first plagues, the magicians of Egypt or the 00:15:59.929 --> 00:16:03.009 occult artists, or it's better if you understand 00:16:03.009 --> 00:16:07.929 it, those that operated in dark cradle primitive 00:16:07.929 --> 00:16:14.110 power could do the first three signs just like 00:16:14.110 --> 00:16:19.179 Jehovah did. They modeled leprosy. When Moses 00:16:19.179 --> 00:16:21.159 put his hand in his garment, it became leprous. 00:16:21.159 --> 00:16:24.159 When he put it back, they could do that. Moses 00:16:24.159 --> 00:16:27.940 threw a staff down and it became a serpent. Guess 00:16:27.940 --> 00:16:30.480 what? In the presence and the power of their 00:16:30.480 --> 00:16:33.639 gods, they threw their staffs down and theirs 00:16:33.639 --> 00:16:36.220 became serpents. The only problem was Moses' 00:16:36.580 --> 00:16:42.600 staff, that serpent ate their other staffs. So 00:16:42.600 --> 00:16:45.470 he gathered his staff. and all of their other 00:16:45.470 --> 00:16:50.250 staffs were swallowed up in it. That's a problem. 00:16:51.809 --> 00:16:55.970 If you're an occult artist and a sorcerer, to 00:16:55.970 --> 00:16:59.330 have your staff swallowed up by someone else's 00:16:59.330 --> 00:17:06.750 ought to bring you a big clue. Uh -oh. Then they 00:17:06.750 --> 00:17:09.250 went to the Nile, and he turned the water into 00:17:09.250 --> 00:17:14.650 blood, and Pharaoh's occult artists Turned the 00:17:14.650 --> 00:17:18.609 water into blood. But the fourth plague, when 00:17:18.609 --> 00:17:22.609 the dust turned into gnats, they realized and 00:17:22.609 --> 00:17:25.589 they said to Pharaoh, they couldn't do through 00:17:25.589 --> 00:17:28.349 their magical arts and their chants and their 00:17:28.349 --> 00:17:32.329 sorcery. They actually said, this is not capable. 00:17:32.410 --> 00:17:36.970 This can only be done by the finger of God.
