The Lord has really 00:07:07.480 --> 00:07:10.220 spoken to me this year about this particular 00:07:10.220 --> 00:07:13.560 psalm, it's 116, about being significant for 00:07:13.560 --> 00:07:18.120 this year and painting a picture or revealing 00:07:18.120 --> 00:07:21.519 to some degree what God is going to do this year, 00:07:21.560 --> 00:07:24.639 what he intends to do, if you by faith will engage 00:07:24.639 --> 00:07:27.540 it and allow him to do it, if you will seek him 00:07:27.540 --> 00:07:29.920 out. This is what God is saying that he is going 00:07:29.920 --> 00:07:32.800 to do. We hear what the world is going to do. 00:07:32.860 --> 00:07:36.379 We hear through pundits and financial people 00:07:36.379 --> 00:07:39.660 and spiritual people and news people and business 00:07:39.660 --> 00:07:42.060 people. We hear what they're saying, but don't 00:07:42.060 --> 00:07:43.639 you think it's good that we hear what God's saying? 00:07:44.079 --> 00:07:46.860 If you hear what God's saying and you stay with 00:07:46.860 --> 00:07:49.860 what God's saying, the Bible says very clearly 00:07:49.860 --> 00:07:54.680 that if you believe in God, you'll be established. 00:07:54.759 --> 00:07:57.139 And if you believe what the prophets bring, you'll 00:07:57.139 --> 00:07:59.529 prosper. That's heaven's reality, which means that 00:08:16.230 --> 00:08:19.350 is to be your reality, irregardless of what you 00:08:19.350 --> 00:08:21.529 see here. That's what you're to bring by faith 00:08:21.529 --> 00:08:24.709 into your midst. Amen? And so be encouraged this 00:08:24.709 --> 00:08:29.389 morning as we look at Psalms 116 and get a sense 00:08:29.389 --> 00:08:32.610 of what God is doing just in an overall way this 00:08:32.610 --> 00:08:36.809 year. I want to give you five points if we get 00:08:36.809 --> 00:08:38.509 time or whatever. I don't know how this will 00:08:38.509 --> 00:08:40.590 go exactly, but I want to show you five things 00:08:40.590 --> 00:08:44.129 anyway, five things that God had emphasized to 00:08:44.129 --> 00:08:48.429 me out of this psalm. so that we can see and 00:08:48.429 --> 00:08:51.570 understand and expect God to move in this manner 00:08:51.570 --> 00:08:52.909 on our behalf. So I'm going to read the first 00:08:52.909 --> 00:08:55.509 six verses, then I'm going to comment on some 00:08:55.509 --> 00:08:59.330 of the psalm. This is what it says. I love the 00:08:59.330 --> 00:09:05.330 Lord because He has heard my voice and my supplications. 00:09:06.409 --> 00:09:10.230 Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore 00:09:10.230 --> 00:09:15.840 I will call upon Him as long as I live. The pains 00:09:15.840 --> 00:09:18.100 of death surrounded me, and the pangs of Sheol 00:09:18.100 --> 00:09:21.840 lay hold of me. I found trouble and sorrow, and 00:09:21.840 --> 00:09:24.779 then I called upon the name of the Lord. O Lord, 00:09:24.860 --> 00:09:28.740 I implore you, deliver my soul. That's something 00:09:28.740 --> 00:09:33.940 to say this year. Verse 5, gracious is the Lord 00:09:33.940 --> 00:09:37.679 and righteous. Yes, our God is merciful. The 00:09:37.679 --> 00:09:41.360 Lord preserves the simple. I was brought low, 00:09:41.519 --> 00:09:47.580 and he saved me. Now, that's a very enlightening 00:09:47.580 --> 00:09:51.720 psalm. It's speaking a lot about what the Lord 00:09:51.720 --> 00:09:54.259 has shown me in my time of prayer and visitation 00:09:54.259 --> 00:09:58.139 and conversation with Him. That many of us are 00:09:58.139 --> 00:10:01.279 in the place where we have come through a very 00:10:01.279 --> 00:10:05.460 difficult, dark, trying, testing time. Some of 00:10:05.460 --> 00:10:09.440 you may not have, but many of you have. And what 00:10:09.440 --> 00:10:12.200 this is really talking about in regards to us 00:10:12.200 --> 00:10:15.120 being in this nation is that this nation has 00:10:15.120 --> 00:10:18.019 brought us to a place where our hope has been 00:10:18.019 --> 00:10:20.779 deferred, where our ability to move forward has 00:10:20.779 --> 00:10:24.279 been a bit diminished, where our thinking of 00:10:24.279 --> 00:10:28.100 creativity and doing future things has been subject 00:10:28.100 --> 00:10:30.820 to can I, should I, would I, knowing or feeling 00:10:30.820 --> 00:10:32.639 that these other things are present. Are you 00:10:32.639 --> 00:10:39.139 with me? Christians this hour could look at this 00:10:39.139 --> 00:10:42.759 and say, I have been in a very difficult place 00:10:42.759 --> 00:10:47.159 or I'm in a difficult place. And out of this 00:10:47.159 --> 00:10:50.519 place, something has to change. And if it does 00:10:50.519 --> 00:10:54.059 not change, these pangs of death of my vision, 00:10:54.139 --> 00:10:57.200 death of my purpose, death of my relationships, 00:10:57.320 --> 00:11:00.139 death of whatever is about to seize me and lay 00:11:00.139 --> 00:11:04.649 hold of me unless God comes and intervenes. And 00:11:04.649 --> 00:11:07.169 so as we look at this passage of Scripture, this 00:11:07.169 --> 00:11:10.330 psalm, and in context of what this is saying, 00:11:10.450 --> 00:11:13.490 I'm delighted to tell you that this psalmist 00:11:13.490 --> 00:11:19.649 calls upon God. He talks to God with God's own 00:11:19.649 --> 00:11:23.509 words and own promises. And declared, God, you 00:11:23.509 --> 00:11:27.009 said, God, you promised, God, you declared, God, 00:11:27.070 --> 00:11:29.029 this is your covenant. Come on, are you there? 00:11:29.250 --> 00:11:31.889 He began to tell God what God had said, which 00:11:31.889 --> 00:11:34.960 is what we're supposed to do, by the way. And 00:11:34.960 --> 00:11:37.039 God, who ever lives to perform his word, had 00:11:37.039 --> 00:11:40.440 no option, if you will, because of his love and 00:11:40.440 --> 00:11:42.639 his grace and because he has bound himself to 00:11:42.639 --> 00:11:45.500 his word. He came and he delivered this person, 00:11:45.639 --> 00:11:50.019 set him free, brought him out of their situation, 00:11:50.299 --> 00:11:53.879 placed him in a very broad and beautiful and 00:11:53.879 --> 00:11:57.809 beneficial place. Come on. and delivered them 00:11:57.809 --> 00:12:00.769 out of a hopeless situation and restored life 00:12:00.769 --> 00:12:04.250 and hope and purpose in them. I'm telling you, 00:12:04.309 --> 00:12:07.289 in 2016, if it's not already happened to you 00:12:07.289 --> 00:12:09.549 in the past few months, if you're in this spot, 00:12:09.750 --> 00:12:11.970 it's going to happen to you this year if you 00:12:11.970 --> 00:12:15.330 believe the Word of God. But not just believe 00:12:15.330 --> 00:12:17.269 the Word of God. What I want you to see is God 00:12:17.269 --> 00:12:19.389 wants you to begin to speak the Word of God. 00:12:19.649 --> 00:12:23.269 Look here what God is going to do in 2016. This 00:12:23.269 --> 00:12:25.070 is what it says in verse 7. This is the first 00:12:25.070 --> 00:12:27.629 point that God really brought this to me and 00:12:27.629 --> 00:12:29.990 really emphasized this, if you will. He said, 00:12:30.110 --> 00:12:34.990 Return to rest, O my soul, for the Lord has dealt 00:12:34.990 --> 00:12:42.129 bountifully with you. In 2016, my dear friends, 00:12:42.470 --> 00:12:48.240 expect... God to deal bountifully with you. Bountifully 00:12:48.240 --> 00:12:51.440 with your soul. Bountifully with every area of 00:12:51.440 --> 00:12:53.559 your life. You go, but don't you know what's 00:12:53.559 --> 00:12:56.379 going on around this world? God is not of this 00:12:56.379 --> 00:13:00.490 world and neither are you. Come on. Expect God 00:13:00.490 --> 00:13:03.190 to deal bountifully with your soul. He's not 00:13:03.190 --> 00:13:06.090 of this economy. He's not of this realm of government. 00:13:06.230 --> 00:13:08.350 He's not of this kingdom. Here's the 00:14:23.350 --> 00:14:24.970 next point I want to emphasize to you. Verse 00:14:24.970 --> 00:14:30.529 10, I believed, therefore I spoke. I cannot tell 00:14:30.529 --> 00:14:33.750 you how important it is that your conversation 00:14:33.750 --> 00:14:38.830 be of the Lord. Be of the Spirit of the Lord. 00:14:39.450 --> 00:14:42.230 That your mind is renewed by the word. If you want change, if you want 00:14:57.870 --> 00:15:00.490 his kingdom economy, if you want his presence 00:15:00.490 --> 00:15:03.350 to be in the midst of you, the Bible says, I 00:15:03.350 --> 00:15:08.580 believed and therefore I spoke. We've got to 00:15:08.580 --> 00:15:11.059 declare what we believe. I'm telling you, the 00:15:11.059 --> 00:15:15.220 word of God is powerful. It's powerful. The Spirit of God, by faith in the shed 00:15:21.779 --> 00:15:24.259 blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, by faith in his 00:15:24.259 --> 00:15:26.639 resurrection power, by faith that you're seated 00:15:26.639 --> 00:15:28.940 with him in heavenly places, by faith that you 00:15:28.940 --> 00:15:30.740 have been adopted as sons. The word is near you. In your mouth, the 00:15:55.149 --> 00:15:57.710 gospel that we preach. And 00:49:32.230 --> 00:49:34.829 we're going to begin to walk out the overcomer's 00:49:34.829 --> 00:49:37.409 walk in the seven letters to the seven churches 00:49:37.409 --> 00:49:39.949 so that we come out overcomers and more than 00:49:39.949 --> 00:49:42.429 conquerors. So we have the right to eat the promises 00:49:42.429 --> 00:49:44.949 and do the promises. Are you there? God's going 00:49:44.949 --> 00:49:47.590 to bring us through that seven -year cycle. And 00:49:47.590 --> 00:49:50.769 why is he waiting in 2018? Because right now 00:49:50.769 --> 00:49:53.889 he's restoring the lampstand in you. He's restoring 00:49:53.889 --> 00:49:55.670 the lampstand in the church so he can walk in 00:49:55.670 --> 00:49:57.730 our midst because it's only as he walks in our 00:49:57.730 --> 00:50:00.030 midst is he able then to bring us into this place 00:50:00.030 --> 00:50:03.250 where we overcome. I want to pray that God deals 00:50:37.800 --> 00:50:42.059 bountifully with your soul. Amen? So you can 00:50:42.059 --> 00:50:46.440 rise up and fulfill your vows.
