I was at his 00:02:10.490 --> 00:02:15.909 memorial service, and as I was there grieving 00:02:15.909 --> 00:02:18.110 the loss of my dear friend and one of my really 00:02:18.110 --> 00:02:21.289 spiritual mentors and fathers in the faith, I 00:02:21.289 --> 00:02:31.569 had a vision. And I saw him just kind of ascending 00:02:31.569 --> 00:02:34.210 out of that building where we were recognizing 00:02:34.210 --> 00:02:37.650 and honoring his memory, and. just kinda seeing 00:02:37.650 --> 00:02:42.210 him in the spirit, just ascending, and then a 00:02:42.210 --> 00:02:48.189 mantle drifted down, floating down to the earth. 00:02:50.210 --> 00:02:54.050 And I heard the spirit of the Lord just say that 00:02:54.050 --> 00:02:58.569 mantles are falling, mantles are falling. And that's what I see 00:03:49.520 --> 00:03:54.219 in this church. And I see upon this house, mantles 00:03:54.219 --> 00:03:58.419 falling. One of the reasons why you have these 00:03:58.419 --> 00:04:00.919 moments and these times when you have ministry 00:04:00.919 --> 00:04:05.800 come in and prophesy is for an impartation. An 00:04:05.800 --> 00:04:07.699 impartation, and that's really what a mantle 00:04:07.699 --> 00:04:11.360 is all about. It's the passing of an impartation 00:04:11.360 --> 00:04:14.460 from one generation to an ex, from one person 00:04:14.460 --> 00:04:18.990 to an ex. to the next, to a group of people maybe 00:04:18.990 --> 00:04:22.209 to the next, whatever, but we just, this mantle 00:04:22.209 --> 00:04:25.509 of transference and impartation coming. And as 00:04:25.509 --> 00:04:28.110 we jump in, I wanna go to 2 Kings chapter two. 00:04:28.189 --> 00:04:30.329 Really can't talk about this subject without 00:04:30.329 --> 00:04:32.990 going to this passage of scripture. And in 2 00:04:32.990 --> 00:04:35.829 Kings chapter two, verses one through 15, it 00:04:35.829 --> 00:04:38.509 says, and it came to pass when the Lord was about 00:04:38.509 --> 00:04:41.730 to take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, 00:04:42.430 --> 00:04:45.930 that Elijah went to, with Elisha. from Gilgal. 00:04:46.750 --> 00:04:50.149 And then Elijah said to Elisha, stay here, please, 00:04:50.250 --> 00:04:53.509 for the Lord has sent me on to Bethel. You know, this is the most often question 00:06:30.269 --> 00:06:34.470 of Jesus to people. This is the most often asked 00:06:34.470 --> 00:06:37.189 question of Jesus to people who would come to 00:06:37.189 --> 00:06:42.199 him. What do you want me to do for you? Here 00:06:42.199 --> 00:06:46.800 Elijah says to Elisha, ask, what may I do for 00:06:46.800 --> 00:06:52.139 you before I'm taken away from you? Elisha said, 00:06:52.199 --> 00:06:59.980 please, let a double portion of your spirit be 00:06:59.980 --> 00:07:04.339 upon me. So Elijah said, you have asked a hard 00:07:04.339 --> 00:07:08.079 thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am 00:07:08.079 --> 00:07:11.639 taken from you, it shall be so for you, but if 00:07:11.639 --> 00:07:14.279 not, it shall not be so. Basically, that's the 00:07:14.279 --> 00:07:16.639 prophet's way of saying, that ain't up to me. 00:07:19.899 --> 00:07:24.519 That's on God. So what you get is what God says 00:07:24.519 --> 00:07:29.819 you get. And it happened as they continued on 00:07:29.819 --> 00:07:33.899 and talked that suddenly, a chariot of fire appeared 00:07:33.899 --> 00:07:36.899 with horses of fire and separated the two of 00:07:36.899 --> 00:07:41.000 them. And Elijah went up by a whirlwind into 00:07:41.000 --> 00:07:44.980 heaven. And Elisha sawed and cried out, my father, 00:07:45.000 --> 00:07:48.180 my father, the chariot of Israel and its horsemen. 00:07:48.240 --> 00:07:50.839 And so he saw him no more and he took hold of 00:07:50.839 --> 00:07:53.040 his own clothes and tore them into two pieces. 00:07:53.959 --> 00:08:01.120 And he also took up the mantle of Elijah. that 00:08:01.120 --> 00:08:03.740 had fallen from him and went back and stood by 00:08:03.740 --> 00:08:08.160 the bank of the Jordan, and he took the mantle 00:08:08.160 --> 00:08:20.339 of Elijah that had fallen from him, and he struck 00:08:20.339 --> 00:08:28.100 the water. Now when the sons of 00:08:31.370 --> 00:08:35.149 the prophets who were from Jericho saw him, they 00:08:35.149 --> 00:08:44.250 said, the spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha. In that moment, a supernatural impartation, 00:08:49.129 --> 00:08:53.309 a transference took place, symbolized by a natural 00:08:53.309 --> 00:08:57.909 piece of clothing, the mantle. And I wanted to 00:08:57.909 --> 00:09:00.190 tell you today that I believe that there are 00:09:00.190 --> 00:09:03.649 mantles falling from heaven on this church. There 00:09:03.649 --> 00:09:06.549 is an increase of the mantle of God coming upon 00:09:06.549 --> 00:09:09.409 this church and is in process of multiplying 00:09:09.409 --> 00:09:12.889 now. Like the Joseph's coat of many colors, God 00:09:12.889 --> 00:09:16.169 is adding some more color, another stripe to 00:09:16.169 --> 00:09:18.779 the mantle. He's adding another color. to the 00:09:18.779 --> 00:09:22.419 mantle. Some of you in this room, you have been 00:09:22.419 --> 00:09:25.019 frustrated and you've thrown down the mantle 00:09:25.019 --> 00:09:28.139 and walked away from it and today is your day 00:09:28.139 --> 00:09:31.220 to come back because the gifts and the calling 00:09:31.220 --> 00:09:34.299 of God is without repentance and he's saying 00:09:34.299 --> 00:09:37.519 if you will abandon your frustration over the 00:09:37.519 --> 00:09:40.919 delay and abandon your hurt and pain over maybe 00:09:40.919 --> 00:09:43.820 rejection or your disappointment or whatever, 00:09:44.120 --> 00:09:46.259 would you come back and just pick up the mantle 00:09:46.259 --> 00:09:54.120 because it's still there. It's still there. Some 00:09:54.120 --> 00:09:56.480 of you need to go back to the mantle of God that 00:09:56.480 --> 00:09:58.899 he gave you and you have not walked in it. Some 00:09:58.899 --> 00:10:01.379 of you are receiving a new dimension of the mantle 00:10:01.379 --> 00:10:04.320 of God, an expansion of the mantle of God. Some 00:10:04.320 --> 00:10:07.539 of you in this place are experiencing a fresh 00:10:07.539 --> 00:10:11.460 renewing of the Spirit of God upon you and you're 00:10:11.460 --> 00:10:16.080 growing into the mantle. And the growth is not 00:10:16.080 --> 00:10:20.960 the mantle, the growth is you. I just wanted 00:10:20.960 --> 00:10:22.860 to find the mantle for you. It's just my simple 00:10:22.860 --> 00:10:25.840 definition. The sphere of grace, this is what 00:10:25.840 --> 00:10:28.440 the mantle is. It's the sphere of grace and anointing 00:10:28.440 --> 00:10:34.919 given by God to a person or a people. It's the 00:10:34.919 --> 00:10:38.720 sphere of grace and anointing given by God. It's 00:10:38.720 --> 00:10:43.120 not given by me. God may use me, but it's given 00:10:43.120 --> 00:10:46.320 by God. I'm not the giver, he's the giver. I'm 00:10:46.320 --> 00:10:48.669 just the messenger. He's the one that has the 00:10:48.669 --> 00:10:50.250 message. He's the one that has the anointing. 00:10:50.389 --> 00:10:53.070 He's the one that has the mantle. And so he is 00:10:53.070 --> 00:10:56.870 gonna cause a mantle to come upon you. I wanna just 00:11:14.799 --> 00:11:16.379 talk a little bit about the characteristics of 00:11:16.379 --> 00:11:20.580 the mantle of God, and we'll see how far I get 00:11:20.580 --> 00:11:26.240 in my five minute message. Because I wanna be 00:11:26.240 --> 00:11:29.279 able to impart something to you, because this 00:11:29.279 --> 00:11:33.559 message isn't about information, it's about impartation 00:11:33.559 --> 00:11:38.259 and transformation. Some characteristics of the 00:11:38.259 --> 00:11:40.019 mantle is this, the mantle is a symbol of the 00:11:40.019 --> 00:11:46.370 calling of God. God calls you. by name. He calls 00:11:46.370 --> 00:11:50.070 you for this moment. That moment came for Elisha 00:11:50.070 --> 00:11:54.190 earlier on in the story of the kings, first, 00:11:54.190 --> 00:11:57.610 second kings. In 1 Kings 19, it says that Elijah 00:11:57.610 --> 00:11:59.769 departed from there and found Elisha the son 00:11:59.769 --> 00:12:02.710 of Shaphat who was plowing with 12 yoke of oxen 00:12:02.710 --> 00:12:05.070 before him and he was with the 12th. And Elijah 00:12:05.070 --> 00:12:09.210 passed by him and threw his mantle on him. Just 00:12:09.210 --> 00:12:14.519 threw his mantle on him. and Elisha left the 00:12:14.519 --> 00:12:17.759 oxen and ran after Elijah. Why? Why did he leave 00:12:17.759 --> 00:12:20.440 the oxen and run after Elijah? Because there 00:12:20.440 --> 00:12:23.519 was something that he knew was about the mantle 00:12:23.519 --> 00:12:26.899 that was gonna change him. He was no longer about 00:12:26.899 --> 00:12:30.659 that momentary thing that he was doing in that 00:12:30.659 --> 00:12:34.000 moment. Now something changed. The mantle came 00:12:34.000 --> 00:12:37.759 on him and something changed. And from that moment 00:12:37.759 --> 00:12:41.159 on, he was a different person. Because of the 00:12:41.159 --> 00:12:44.820 calling. You know, Acts chapter two was a mantle 00:12:44.820 --> 00:12:48.259 moment for the disciples. Interestingly enough, 00:12:48.340 --> 00:12:51.240 I think it's funny to note that in Elijah's ascension 00:12:51.240 --> 00:12:53.960 into heaven, there was a whirlwind and fire. 00:12:55.000 --> 00:12:57.019 In Acts chapter two, the place where they were 00:12:57.019 --> 00:13:00.100 sitting, there was the sound of a rushing, mighty 00:13:00.100 --> 00:13:03.840 wind and tongues of fire sat upon each of them. 00:13:04.460 --> 00:13:07.340 What was happening? The mantle of God was coming 00:13:07.340 --> 00:13:10.600 upon the disciples in that room. There was a 00:13:10.600 --> 00:13:12.860 mission that they needed to fulfill. They weren't 00:13:12.860 --> 00:13:16.360 gonna be able to do it on a fishing boat. They 00:13:16.360 --> 00:13:19.000 weren't gonna be able to do it in a carpentry 00:13:19.000 --> 00:13:21.019 shop. They weren't gonna be able to do it just 00:13:21.019 --> 00:13:23.179 giving their selves to that without the mantle. 00:13:23.500 --> 00:13:25.120 Nothing wrong with fishing and nothing wrong 00:13:25.120 --> 00:13:28.480 with carpentry, but you can't do it in a supernatural 00:13:28.480 --> 00:13:31.360 way in the mantle and calling of God without 00:13:31.360 --> 00:13:34.470 the mantle of God. And the Holy Spirit came and 00:13:34.470 --> 00:13:37.590 changed the whole thing. In Acts chapter nine, 00:13:37.909 --> 00:13:40.210 Saul received the mantle through a prophetic 00:13:40.210 --> 00:13:43.309 word from Ananias. And later in Acts chapter 00:13:43.309 --> 00:13:47.429 13, God increased the mantle on Saul. In Acts 00:13:47.429 --> 00:13:51.330 13, when he said, set aside to me Saul and Barnabas 00:13:51.330 --> 00:13:53.549 for the work that I have called them to do and 00:13:53.549 --> 00:13:55.789 sent them out. And from that moment, he was changed. 00:13:55.830 --> 00:13:59.289 He was added to his mantle the apostleship of 00:13:59.289 --> 00:14:04.659 the kingdom. He was a teacher. but then he became 00:14:04.659 --> 00:14:09.360 and also an apostle. The mantle shifted. The 00:14:09.360 --> 00:14:11.500 mantle shifted in a prophetic meaning, much like 00:14:11.500 --> 00:14:14.419 this one. The mantle is also the grace given 00:14:14.419 --> 00:14:17.679 for ministry. You have a sphere of grace. That's 00:14:17.679 --> 00:14:20.440 your mantle. That's what the mantle represents. 00:14:20.879 --> 00:14:23.600 And not all mantles are the same. My mantle is 00:14:23.600 --> 00:14:26.379 not the same as John John's mantle, and not the 00:14:26.379 --> 00:14:29.639 same as Eric's mantle, and not the same as Brad's 00:14:29.639 --> 00:14:31.639 mantle. Our mantles are different. Even though 00:14:31.639 --> 00:14:33.899 we all prophesy, and even though we all have 00:14:33.899 --> 00:14:38.679 wonderful hairdos, we have different mantles. 00:14:45.720 --> 00:14:49.159 Second, in 1 Peter 4, 10, the manifold grace 00:14:49.159 --> 00:14:52.100 of God is referred to. It's the multi -colored, 00:14:52.220 --> 00:14:55.960 the multi -faceted grace of God. There's a grace 00:14:55.960 --> 00:14:58.019 for John John. There's a grace for Eric. There's 00:14:58.019 --> 00:15:00.460 a grace for Cheryl. There's a grace for you. 00:15:00.460 --> 00:15:02.960 There's a grace for me. And it's incredible how 00:15:02.960 --> 00:15:05.259 we can maybe all prophesy, but we prophesy in 00:15:05.259 --> 00:15:07.559 a unique fashion with unique revelation. Why? 00:15:07.600 --> 00:15:11.480 Because there is a grace for us according to 00:15:11.480 --> 00:15:16.409 the mantle of God. The mantle also can it also 00:15:16.409 --> 00:15:20.090 represents the authority of God. The authority 00:15:20.090 --> 00:15:22.429 of God. Much like the king or queen wears the 00:15:22.429 --> 00:15:25.509 robes of royalty and signifies their authority, 00:15:25.970 --> 00:15:28.429 so in the kingdom of God, the mantle on one's 00:15:28.429 --> 00:15:31.169 life represents the authority that the Lord has 00:15:31.169 --> 00:15:34.490 invested into your life. and you can walk in 00:15:34.490 --> 00:15:37.169 that mantle and it carries with it an authority. 00:15:37.690 --> 00:15:40.509 Why do you have authority over every work of 00:15:40.509 --> 00:15:43.649 the evil one? Because God has given you the mantle 00:15:43.649 --> 00:15:47.269 of authority to trample on everything the evil 00:15:47.269 --> 00:15:51.389 one wants to bring against your life. You're 00:15:51.389 --> 00:15:53.809 authorized for ministry when the mantle of God 00:15:53.809 --> 00:15:58.450 comes upon you and an authority is given. Another 00:15:58.450 --> 00:16:00.330 thing I've discovered about the mantle is it 00:16:00.330 --> 00:16:05.200 can grow. The Bible says in 2 Peter chapter 3 00:16:05.200 --> 00:16:09.720 verse 18, but grow in the grace and knowledge 00:16:09.720 --> 00:16:12.120 of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. That means 00:16:12.120 --> 00:16:15.539 you can grow. Your mantle can grow. You grow 00:16:15.539 --> 00:16:19.159 and the mantle grows. And Elijah's mantle was 00:16:19.159 --> 00:16:21.779 passed to Elisha, but what did Elisha get? Did 00:16:21.779 --> 00:16:26.220 he get Elijah's portion? No, he got a double 00:16:26.220 --> 00:16:29.559 portion. How many in the room would like to see 00:16:29.559 --> 00:16:34.600 a double portion? I believe there's a double 00:16:34.600 --> 00:16:37.360 portion coming to this house. In a few years, 00:16:37.519 --> 00:16:41.960 this house will double in size. It'll double 00:16:41.960 --> 00:16:44.720 in its influence. It'll double numerically. It'll 00:16:44.720 --> 00:16:48.360 double financially. It'll double in locations. 00:16:48.539 --> 00:16:51.500 You're gonna see a multiplication and a multiplicity 00:16:51.500 --> 00:16:54.539 to it. There is a increase of the mantle upon 00:16:54.539 --> 00:16:57.340 this house. Mantles are falling. Mantles are 00:16:57.340 --> 00:17:00.299 falling. Mantles are falling. But you have gotta 00:17:00.299 --> 00:17:03.940 be willing and full of faith to go and pick up 00:17:03.940 --> 00:17:07.680 the mantle and walk in it, receive it, embrace 00:17:07.680 --> 00:17:15.670 it, and follow God with it. Because this 00:17:21.289 --> 00:17:22.950 is the most important part of the message right 00:17:22.950 --> 00:17:35.589 here. Ask. What do you want? This is the Lord 00:17:35.589 --> 00:17:38.029 speaking to you now. What do you want me to do 00:17:38.029 --> 00:17:43.549 for you? That's the moment that is so important. 00:17:44.190 --> 00:17:48.170 about the receiving of the mantle. Ask. The mantle 00:17:48.170 --> 00:17:54.289 is received and is operated in by faith.
