So before I do, I want to share with 00:01:09.810 --> 00:01:12.310 you something about God's unfailing love, which 00:01:12.310 --> 00:01:14.689 he repeats throughout the Psalms in different 00:01:14.689 --> 00:01:18.390 places. His unfailing love, the love that is 00:01:18.390 --> 00:01:21.730 covenant. in its root, its foundation, its covenant 00:01:21.730 --> 00:01:24.530 to love. Unfailing love means it's got to succeed. 00:01:24.829 --> 00:01:26.890 And so this is his promise to those he loves. 00:01:26.909 --> 00:01:30.849 He wants us to succeed in accomplishing his will 00:01:30.849 --> 00:01:33.829 as he reveals it. So this is the verse that's 00:01:33.829 --> 00:01:36.310 been telling to me lately, hopefully for you 00:01:36.310 --> 00:01:39.989 as well. Psalm 34 24 says, The Lord be exalted 00:01:39.989 --> 00:01:43.390 who delights in the well -being of his servant. 00:01:43.629 --> 00:01:45.689 This is something that we need to know about 00:01:45.689 --> 00:01:48.450 God, and I hope you've seen this already in Jacob's 00:01:48.450 --> 00:01:51.049 life and in Abraham's life as we went through 00:01:51.049 --> 00:01:53.629 it, that God delights in the well -doing of his 00:01:53.629 --> 00:01:55.670 people. That's why we said the Covenant, the 00:01:55.670 --> 00:01:58.230 first sign of it was laughter. God wants us to 00:01:58.230 --> 00:02:00.849 face this world with the confidence that he is 00:02:00.849 --> 00:02:03.609 with us and he wants us to succeed. He takes 00:02:03.609 --> 00:02:07.370 delight in us and in the well -being of his servant. 00:02:07.549 --> 00:02:10.169 You know, to me it's really... telling because 00:02:10.169 --> 00:02:12.550 I was always a doer of things. I worked my hands 00:02:12.550 --> 00:02:15.030 all my life and always had to have an end product 00:02:15.030 --> 00:02:17.409 or I wouldn't be paid. And so it was part of 00:02:17.409 --> 00:02:20.349 my makeup to get something done. But this doesn't 00:02:20.349 --> 00:02:23.569 say that God delights in well -doing. It's not 00:02:23.569 --> 00:02:26.370 that he delights in what we do or what we accomplish 00:02:26.370 --> 00:02:30.150 or how we perform. It's when we are being. It's 00:02:30.150 --> 00:02:33.370 a state of mind, a state that indicates the relationship 00:02:33.370 --> 00:02:36.009 we have with him. And he delights in that when 00:02:36.009 --> 00:02:38.889 we are at peace with him. and in peace with those 00:02:38.889 --> 00:02:41.650 around us. We're living according to his will, 00:02:41.770 --> 00:02:44.870 we're walking by his spirit into the world that 00:02:44.870 --> 00:02:48.289 is in such great need. So the world again, and 00:02:48.289 --> 00:02:50.729 it's like one after the other, and it doesn't 00:02:50.729 --> 00:02:53.330 take much to pay attention, but we do need to 00:02:53.330 --> 00:02:56.180 pay attention, if ever. I know it's painful, but we need 00:02:59.180 --> 00:03:01.520 to know it, not from one source, because there's 00:03:01.520 --> 00:03:04.419 so much false news out there. But again, the 00:03:04.419 --> 00:03:06.460 world is reeling like a drunken sailor, though. 00:03:06.580 --> 00:03:09.060 The world hardly takes notice, and don't be part 00:03:09.060 --> 00:03:12.979 of that. Iranians now. Iranians have not been 00:03:12.979 --> 00:03:16.340 in the news for good. But recently, very recently, 00:03:16.580 --> 00:03:18.759 within the last three weeks it's been mounting, 00:03:19.139 --> 00:03:22.000 but in the last three weeks especially, the Iranians, 00:03:22.219 --> 00:03:24.780 the citizens of Iran, have found the courage 00:03:24.780 --> 00:03:27.960 to openly profess that they're done with this 00:03:27.960 --> 00:03:30.520 ruthless regime that has brutally governed them 00:03:30.520 --> 00:03:33.919 for the last five decades. This Islamic regime 00:03:33.919 --> 00:03:37.960 responded, though, publicly. So without fear 00:03:37.960 --> 00:03:41.500 of the world watching, which they tried to hide, 00:03:41.659 --> 00:03:44.500 but they responded publicly by executing between 00:03:44.500 --> 00:03:48.400 12 ,000 to 20 ,000 citizens, their own citizens 00:03:48.400 --> 00:03:50.979 on the streets and in the hospitals they went 00:03:50.979 --> 00:03:53.759 to for help from the healing, from the gunshot 00:03:53.759 --> 00:03:56.840 wounds. And in jails across the nation, they've 00:03:56.840 --> 00:03:59.199 been imprisoned thousands, tens of thousands 00:03:59.199 --> 00:04:01.979 of their own citizens. Why? Because they don't 00:04:01.979 --> 00:04:04.599 like the government that has mistreated them 00:04:04.599 --> 00:04:08.550 for so long. So has there been an uprise of grief 00:04:08.550 --> 00:04:11.210 though, and the horror of what's going on from 00:04:11.210 --> 00:04:15.590 the free world? Those of us who have this freedom 00:04:15.590 --> 00:04:18.430 to express ourselves, freedom of speech. The 00:04:18.430 --> 00:04:21.069 thing that they're saying from Iran, we're hearing 00:04:21.069 --> 00:04:23.589 this and you will too if you pay attention to 00:04:23.589 --> 00:04:27.410 newscasts that are not mainstream media, that 00:04:27.410 --> 00:04:30.850 the question from the Iranians is where is this 00:04:30.850 --> 00:04:33.560 outcry from the world? And it's the same silence 00:04:33.560 --> 00:04:36.120 that Israel has experienced for over two years 00:04:36.120 --> 00:04:38.860 since October 7th, when they were brutally and 00:04:38.860 --> 00:04:41.160 savagely attacked. There's a likeness here that 00:04:41.160 --> 00:04:44.300 I want to bring out, and it's a spiritual thing 00:04:44.300 --> 00:04:47.699 that I hope that you will explore and consider. 00:04:47.939 --> 00:04:50.100 Why is this relation? What does this have to 00:04:50.100 --> 00:04:52.519 do? Relationship with Iran and Israel makes no 00:04:52.519 --> 00:04:56.360 sense. Iran has been behind the the financing 00:04:56.360 --> 00:05:00.699 of the proxies which are Hezbollah, Hamas, the 00:05:00.699 --> 00:05:04.920 Houthis, Iraq, Syria even, and others that have 00:05:04.920 --> 00:05:08.740 joined forces to try to destroy Israel over those 00:05:08.740 --> 00:05:11.730 last two years. There are nearby successes with 00:05:11.730 --> 00:05:14.310 thousands upon thousands of missiles being launched 00:05:14.310 --> 00:05:17.389 and cities burning on fire and children running 00:05:17.389 --> 00:05:21.069 for protection from the sirens constantly. I 00:05:21.069 --> 00:05:23.670 mean, this frantic sense of life in Israel and 00:05:23.670 --> 00:05:25.310 people saying, yeah, but how about these poor 00:05:25.310 --> 00:05:27.529 Palestinians? And that's not what I'm talking 00:05:27.529 --> 00:05:30.129 about. So this isn't about trying to even out 00:05:30.129 --> 00:05:32.850 the playing field. It's Israel under assault 00:05:32.850 --> 00:05:36.980 and at risk was their survival as a nation. So 00:05:36.980 --> 00:05:39.100 there's other things to talk about, and this 00:05:39.100 --> 00:05:41.819 is about God's fairness, His justice, and the 00:05:41.819 --> 00:05:44.680 world's unfairness and injustice, but I'm not 00:05:44.680 --> 00:05:47.540 going to deep dive into that because I'm concerned 00:05:47.540 --> 00:05:50.399 about the silence. This, what's going on now, 00:05:50.920 --> 00:05:54.180 has been misreported. The numbers were like 500 00:05:54.180 --> 00:05:56.839 when it was already in the thousands, and then 00:05:56.839 --> 00:05:59.379 they went up maybe five, six hundred or hundreds. 00:05:59.579 --> 00:06:01.899 But right now, from those who are in the know, 00:06:02.160 --> 00:06:04.259 and this is not just, you know, approximates, 00:06:04.420 --> 00:06:08.180 there's at least 12 to 20 ,000 citizens that 00:06:08.180 --> 00:06:11.540 have been executed, mostly in public, right on 00:06:11.540 --> 00:06:14.959 the streets, gunned down. But that unlike the 00:06:14.959 --> 00:06:18.620 accusations against Israel about genocide, they 00:06:18.620 --> 00:06:21.759 were saying, you know, the world was just screaming 00:06:21.759 --> 00:06:24.819 and the UN was on us, the world court. that Israel 00:06:24.819 --> 00:06:27.079 is committing genocide. They had all these cases 00:06:27.079 --> 00:06:29.740 against them and all these world accusations. 00:06:30.019 --> 00:06:32.600 But instead of genocide, they were actually at 00:06:32.600 --> 00:06:35.680 the same time feeding the enemies that were sworn 00:06:35.680 --> 00:06:38.399 to their destruction. But this is different in 00:06:38.399 --> 00:06:41.360 Iran. The question is, why is the world silent 00:06:41.360 --> 00:06:43.420 about them? Because the Iranians are not Jews. 00:06:43.759 --> 00:06:47.220 In fact, beneath this veiled population is a 00:06:47.220 --> 00:06:49.819 thriving group of believers in Jesus who meet 00:06:49.819 --> 00:06:52.649 underground. but they're considered by those 00:06:52.649 --> 00:06:55.589 who keep track to be the fastest growing church 00:06:55.589 --> 00:06:59.649 in the world. And so maybe this affects me much 00:06:59.649 --> 00:07:02.050 more, and maybe this is why I might sound a little 00:07:02.050 --> 00:07:05.089 bit emotional, but it's because I've had the 00:07:05.089 --> 00:07:08.350 privilege, along with my wife, to meet many Iranian 00:07:08.350 --> 00:07:12.579 believers beginning years ago. And the most unexpected 00:07:12.579 --> 00:07:14.759 element of meeting them was not just that they 00:07:14.759 --> 00:07:17.639 were believers, that they were born in a Shia 00:07:17.639 --> 00:07:20.680 Muslim world, that when they'd get up and go 00:07:20.680 --> 00:07:23.680 to school from first grade on, before they went 00:07:23.680 --> 00:07:25.899 from the schoolyards, this is personally told 00:07:25.899 --> 00:07:28.500 by those who escaped this, they became refugees 00:07:28.500 --> 00:07:32.060 in Europe, specifically England, and then in 00:07:32.060 --> 00:07:34.779 the United States, and received asylum status. 00:07:35.079 --> 00:07:38.459 But these were Iranian -born Muslims. And before 00:07:38.459 --> 00:07:40.360 they started the schoolyard, this is what they 00:07:40.360 --> 00:07:42.139 told us personally, and I heard the story over 00:07:42.139 --> 00:07:44.339 and over, they had to chant. They would pray, 00:07:44.339 --> 00:07:46.860 you know, the typical prayers, but they would 00:07:46.860 --> 00:07:50.800 speak, make confession, and even sing songs about 00:07:50.800 --> 00:07:53.899 the destruction of the Jewish people and Israel 00:07:53.899 --> 00:07:56.980 as a nation entirely. They didn't consider Israel 00:07:56.980 --> 00:07:59.579 a nation. They were an illegal occupiers. But 00:07:59.579 --> 00:08:02.160 this is what the school kids would chant every 00:08:02.160 --> 00:08:04.779 single morning. That gets drilled firmly into 00:08:04.779 --> 00:08:07.300 your mindset. And so my friend, I have a friend, 00:08:07.439 --> 00:08:11.740 I won't name him now, but he's someone I met 00:08:11.740 --> 00:08:15.339 in the last six years, and he's now living in 00:08:15.339 --> 00:08:18.259 Israel. He's an Iranian -born believer. He was 00:08:18.259 --> 00:08:21.879 in a jail in Iran, and he escaped, and he was 00:08:21.879 --> 00:08:25.550 able to escape as a newborn believer. Born -again 00:08:25.550 --> 00:08:28.329 believer in Israel, I mean in Iran, and he was 00:08:28.329 --> 00:08:30.550 able to escape through Turkey where he began 00:08:30.550 --> 00:08:33.370 to be discipled at the time when it was safe 00:08:33.370 --> 00:08:37.190 to be in Turkey before the growth of the incredible 00:08:37.190 --> 00:08:40.389 spurt of extreme Islam took over their culture 00:08:40.389 --> 00:08:43.669 as well. But it's where, in this ministry in 00:08:43.669 --> 00:08:46.350 England, my wife and I served there a few times. 00:08:46.750 --> 00:08:48.690 I was served there a little more in construction 00:08:48.690 --> 00:08:50.950 work, but we met so many Iranian believers. I 00:08:50.950 --> 00:08:53.870 was so loving, so spirit -filled, but the unexpected 00:08:53.870 --> 00:08:56.529 element was to hear them speak so fondly. I mean 00:08:56.529 --> 00:08:58.710 like a love affair with the Jewish people and 00:08:58.710 --> 00:09:00.990 so supportive of Israel. We were so welcomed 00:09:00.990 --> 00:09:02.730 there. They didn't know that, you know, they 00:09:02.730 --> 00:09:06.389 were hosting a Jew and my wife as well as one 00:09:06.389 --> 00:09:09.639 of our little son. at the time, and so in this 00:09:09.639 --> 00:09:12.299 place they translated the Bible. The reason they 00:09:12.299 --> 00:09:14.179 did is because they fell in love with the God 00:09:14.179 --> 00:09:16.620 of Israel, the Jewish Messiah, and they wanted 00:09:16.620 --> 00:09:18.379 their people to know the same, but they had no 00:09:18.379 --> 00:09:20.360 Bible in their own language. So these people, 00:09:20.580 --> 00:09:23.139 along with the English -British believers who 00:09:23.139 --> 00:09:25.720 were totally behind them and with them, but they 00:09:25.720 --> 00:09:28.220 were the ones that were scholarly, and they began 00:09:28.220 --> 00:09:31.460 to translate the Bible into Farsi. And they did. 00:09:31.500 --> 00:09:33.980 They translated the New Testament first, and 00:09:33.980 --> 00:09:36.320 then the entire Hebrew Bible, and they not only 00:09:36.460 --> 00:09:39.000 Did they translate it? They published it. Beautiful 00:09:39.000 --> 00:09:42.980 bound Bibles. And then the hard part was taking 00:09:42.980 --> 00:09:45.799 it into the nation. I won't go into the details 00:09:45.799 --> 00:09:47.659 of how they did it. They were able to smuggle 00:09:47.659 --> 00:09:50.500 it into Iran. Hundreds of thousands of copies. 00:09:50.730 --> 00:09:54.830 And this spread rapidly, and this underground 00:09:54.830 --> 00:09:57.509 church, which I literally, this is hard to believe, 00:09:57.669 --> 00:10:01.009 but met the father and his adult son at the time, 00:10:01.250 --> 00:10:03.570 who began, they didn't begin as a church, they 00:10:03.570 --> 00:10:05.610 just began meeting in their homes, and other 00:10:05.610 --> 00:10:07.590 homes started meeting in their homes of believers 00:10:07.590 --> 00:10:11.879 who got saved. through Armenian believers and 00:10:11.879 --> 00:10:14.399 started reading and teaching the Bible and their 00:10:14.399 --> 00:10:16.840 hunger and thirst and their courage began to 00:10:16.840 --> 00:10:19.840 grow quickly and they became martyrs quickly 00:10:19.840 --> 00:10:23.019 as they became a threat to the regime. And many 00:10:23.019 --> 00:10:25.279 died and they would hear these deaths inadvertently 00:10:25.279 --> 00:10:27.559 because they would just basically disappear and 00:10:27.559 --> 00:10:29.419 they didn't know what happened. But then the 00:10:29.419 --> 00:10:31.879 ability, they became very skilled at being able 00:10:31.879 --> 00:10:35.179 to smuggle people out of the country quickly. 00:10:35.360 --> 00:10:39.279 In those days they had very good ways of doing 00:10:39.279 --> 00:10:41.940 that. It's become more difficult lately. So the 00:10:41.940 --> 00:10:45.139 population grew in both the United States and 00:10:45.139 --> 00:10:47.740 in England of those who escaped this tyranny. 00:10:47.860 --> 00:10:50.000 But they were so determined to see their people 00:10:50.000 --> 00:10:51.440 get a Bible in their hands because they knew 00:10:51.440 --> 00:10:53.960 what it would do to them and do for them. So 00:10:53.960 --> 00:10:56.580 to have a Bible in their own language and read 00:10:56.580 --> 00:10:59.899 how connected the Persian people were with these 00:10:59.899 --> 00:11:02.720 Israeli Jews because they were in captivity in 00:11:02.720 --> 00:11:05.059 their land centuries ago, you know, think of 00:11:05.129 --> 00:11:08.429 There's so many. Daniel and the three Hebrew 00:11:08.429 --> 00:11:13.870 lads, Ezekiel, Zechariah, Haggai, Esther, Mordecai, 00:11:14.169 --> 00:11:17.629 Nehemiah, Ezra, the three wise men in the New 00:11:17.629 --> 00:11:20.590 Testament, and so many others that I don't want 00:11:20.590 --> 00:11:23.350 to miss, but you have to look it up. They spent 00:11:23.350 --> 00:11:25.950 time in Persia. They spent time in the courts 00:11:25.950 --> 00:11:29.110 of the kings in what was then called Elam, but 00:11:29.110 --> 00:11:33.129 this is what's now and it's been for many years, 00:11:33.570 --> 00:11:36.740 Iran. But it's not the Iran from long ago. It's 00:11:36.740 --> 00:11:39.120 a stolen entity. And talk about an occupation 00:11:39.120 --> 00:11:41.820 and a genocide. I mean, think about these things 00:11:41.820 --> 00:11:44.059 and let's make sense of what has been said and 00:11:44.059 --> 00:11:46.799 what has not been said. So as a ministry of Come 00:11:46.799 --> 00:11:49.139 From My People, we support this one brother that 00:11:49.139 --> 00:11:52.399 I tell you, who was, you know, born an Islamic 00:11:52.399 --> 00:11:55.320 Shiite. So we support him and he's married to 00:11:55.320 --> 00:11:58.120 an Israeli messianic believer. And so we support 00:11:58.120 --> 00:12:00.139 their ministry in Israel. But right from the 00:12:00.139 --> 00:12:04.429 get go, when he moved to Israel, He began serving 00:12:04.429 --> 00:12:06.629 the people. He has a love for the Jewish people 00:12:06.629 --> 00:12:08.889 and they recognize it and it's genuine. He's 00:12:08.889 --> 00:12:12.070 so effective in sharing the genuine love of Yeshua 00:12:12.070 --> 00:12:15.230 because of his background and this spiritual 00:12:15.230 --> 00:12:17.909 reality that he lives by, along with his wife. 00:12:18.090 --> 00:12:20.429 And when the war broke out, he had a background 00:12:20.429 --> 00:12:23.389 as a cook and he began to share what he knew 00:12:23.389 --> 00:12:26.799 with a man who had a restaurant or not a restaurant, 00:12:27.039 --> 00:12:30.600 but a large facility where they made meals, large 00:12:30.600 --> 00:12:33.919 meals, catered meals. So he had this big professional 00:12:33.919 --> 00:12:37.100 kitchen and so he and my friend got together 00:12:37.100 --> 00:12:39.139 and they decided to make meals for the soldiers 00:12:39.139 --> 00:12:41.820 and they did along with a lot of help. And they 00:12:41.820 --> 00:12:45.240 made a hot meal every day for 500 soldiers and 00:12:45.240 --> 00:12:47.919 then transported them to the bases because the 00:12:47.919 --> 00:12:49.899 war broke out so quick. They were not prepared 00:12:49.899 --> 00:12:53.620 for the onslaught of soldiers that started coming 00:12:53.620 --> 00:12:56.139 to these bases. And so the same thing. What is 00:12:56.139 --> 00:12:59.360 that? What in the world is an Iranian man doing 00:12:59.360 --> 00:13:02.240 on an army base? And it took a lot for that to 00:13:02.240 --> 00:13:04.779 happen, but he did. He didn't originally he didn't 00:13:04.779 --> 00:13:06.700 go with the deliveries, but then ultimately he 00:13:06.700 --> 00:13:09.000 did. And they received him because they saw he 00:13:09.000 --> 00:13:11.120 was real. Of course, he was interviewed and to 00:13:11.120 --> 00:13:13.879 make sure, because Iran is the supporter, the 00:13:13.879 --> 00:13:17.299 sponsor of the destruction of Israel with all 00:13:17.299 --> 00:13:20.580 these other factions. So two weeks ago, though, 00:13:21.000 --> 00:13:23.899 my friend texted me and told me about what happened 00:13:23.899 --> 00:13:26.320 to his brother. So this is, you know, I knew 00:13:26.320 --> 00:13:29.000 that this outbreak on the streets of Iran had 00:13:29.000 --> 00:13:31.919 taken place, but he told me that he was notified 00:13:31.919 --> 00:13:35.769 that his brother was shot. and taken prison. 00:13:35.809 --> 00:13:37.889 They thought he was taken prison. He was captured 00:13:37.889 --> 00:13:40.230 after he was shot, but they heard nothing else. 00:13:40.269 --> 00:13:42.470 That's all they heard from people that knew him, 00:13:42.509 --> 00:13:44.190 that were onlookers. They saw what happened, 00:13:44.210 --> 00:13:46.269 but they tried to find out where he was taken. 00:13:46.309 --> 00:13:49.269 No one could find out. And only recently they 00:13:49.269 --> 00:13:52.230 found out, they discovered that his brother was 00:13:52.230 --> 00:13:55.730 taken to a prison and he was definitely wounded, 00:13:55.889 --> 00:13:58.110 but they knew nothing else, but he was alive. 00:13:58.169 --> 00:14:01.149 So that was good news. But only recently, almost 00:14:01.149 --> 00:14:04.840 the exact same time, he learned that on top of 00:14:04.840 --> 00:14:06.840 the good news, he learned that his other brother 00:14:06.840 --> 00:14:11.480 was also shot in two places and wounded, and 00:14:11.480 --> 00:14:13.379 the wounds got infected, but he was in hiding. 00:14:13.500 --> 00:14:15.600 They don't know where he is, but they know he's 00:14:15.600 --> 00:14:18.860 alive. So this is very close to home. I could 00:14:18.860 --> 00:14:22.120 hear his heart and feel his pain. So this is 00:14:22.120 --> 00:14:24.519 like my purpose. I just want to make clear. It's 00:14:24.519 --> 00:14:28.460 not to chastise anyone, especially Christians, 00:14:28.659 --> 00:14:31.379 because we are still considered the salt of the 00:14:31.379 --> 00:14:33.820 earth. the hope of the world, you know, that 00:14:33.820 --> 00:14:36.679 this living presence of Jesus is what the world 00:14:36.679 --> 00:14:40.539 is dying for.
