In the same chapter, 00:06:36.370 --> 00:06:39.170 he says, I will raise my throne above the stars 00:06:39.170 --> 00:06:42.029 of God. And the morning stars are all the angels 00:06:42.029 --> 00:06:44.829 that God has already created. In our 00:08:25.220 --> 00:08:27.519 world, people maintain their sense of respectability 00:08:27.519 --> 00:08:30.420 by rejecting everything except what they can 00:08:30.420 --> 00:08:33.220 see in the natural world. I want my way. Can anyone vaguely remember 00:14:02.350 --> 00:14:04.789 what the temptation was in the garden? What was 00:14:04.789 --> 00:14:08.129 the promise to Eve? Oh, yeah, that's right. Paul had such revelation that he allowed 00:25:41.720 --> 00:25:45.319 some messenger of Satan to do something physical, 00:25:45.440 --> 00:25:47.460 we don't know what it is, to give him a sense 00:25:47.460 --> 00:25:52.640 of dependency. It's a sovereign God. The application 00:25:52.640 --> 00:25:55.720 here is balance and wisdom are crucial in our 00:25:55.720 --> 00:25:58.339 assessment of spiritual opposition. To assign 00:25:58.339 --> 00:26:01.259 too much or too little credit to the reality 00:26:01.259 --> 00:26:05.099 of demonic activity is to err greatly. Here's 00:26:05.099 --> 00:26:07.039 the last one and maybe the most important. As 00:26:07.039 --> 00:26:10.440 believers in Christ, we do not fight for victory. 00:26:10.500 --> 00:26:13.619 We fight from victory. In Christ's power, we 00:26:13.619 --> 00:26:16.500 are invincible. Let me say that again, and I'm 00:26:16.500 --> 00:26:20.160 not trying to be cute. And I will tell you that a 10 -year -old 00:27:47.720 --> 00:27:50.519 boy armed with those verses got out of his bed 00:27:50.519 --> 00:27:53.539 on his knees, quoted them out loud, told the 00:27:53.539 --> 00:27:55.759 demons where to go, and bam. And I talked to 00:27:55.759 --> 00:27:58.160 him at breakfast the next morning because I heard 00:27:58.160 --> 00:28:00.019 what was going on. And this happened much in 00:28:00.019 --> 00:28:01.779 our house. And we'll talk a little bit more about 00:28:01.779 --> 00:28:04.380 it. It was just like, it was terrifying the first 00:28:04.380 --> 00:28:08.059 two years we lived there. And I remember Ryan 00:28:08.059 --> 00:28:10.720 going, Dad, I'm just sick and tired of this stuff 00:28:10.720 --> 00:28:12.440 that happened in the middle of the night. And 00:28:12.440 --> 00:28:13.819 he knows 10 years old. So what's he know? He 00:28:13.819 --> 00:28:17.220 just believes. The greater me is than him, I 00:28:17.220 --> 00:28:20.839 believe. Usually I wake you up and we pray and 00:28:20.839 --> 00:28:22.819 all that, but I just got tired of this.
