It's also found. I believe it's 00:02:18.080 --> 00:02:21.699 nine nine Zachariah prophesies about it. That's how she became pregnant with 00:04:10.099 --> 00:04:13.469 Jesus. And because of the pure blood as long 00:04:13.469 --> 00:04:15.990 as Jesus didn't sin and taint that blood when 00:04:15.990 --> 00:04:20.250 he died that blood was became the payment for 00:04:20.250 --> 00:04:23.910 our sin because the wages of sin is death and 00:04:23.910 --> 00:04:26.689 we don't have to worry about eternal death anymore 00:04:26.689 --> 00:04:30.110 because hallelujah praise God Jesus rose from 00:04:30.110 --> 00:04:34.110 the dead death could not hold him because the 00:04:34.110 --> 00:04:37.439 blood was pure and it paid the payment. We can start in verse 1. It says before 00:05:10.810 --> 00:05:13.569 the Passover celebration Jesus knew that his 00:05:13.569 --> 00:05:15.730 hour had come to leave this world and return 00:05:15.730 --> 00:05:18.769 to his father. He had loved his disciples during 00:05:18.769 --> 00:05:21.310 his ministry on earth and now he loved them to 00:05:21.310 --> 00:05:24.389 the very end. It was time for supper and the 00:05:24.389 --> 00:05:27.949 devil had already prompted Judas the son of Simon 00:05:27.949 --> 00:05:32.639 Iscariot to betray Jesus. And Jesus knew that 00:05:32.639 --> 00:05:35.439 the father had given him authority over everything 00:05:35.439 --> 00:05:38.860 that he had came from God and would return to 00:05:38.860 --> 00:05:42.040 God. So he got up from the table took off his 00:05:42.040 --> 00:05:44.759 robe wrapped a towel around his waist and pour 00:05:44.759 --> 00:05:48.220 water into a basin and then began to wash the 00:05:48.220 --> 00:05:51.279 disciples feet drying them with a tally had around 00:05:51.279 --> 00:05:54.639 him. When Jesus came to Simon Peter, Peter said 00:05:54.639 --> 00:05:57.199 to him, Lord, are you going to wash my feet? 00:05:57.449 --> 00:06:00.110 And Jesus said, you don't understand now what 00:06:00.110 --> 00:06:04.850 I'm doing, but someday you will know Peter protested. 00:06:04.970 --> 00:06:08.009 You will never ever wash my feet. You know, Peter 00:06:08.009 --> 00:06:11.389 still saw him as his Lord. He couldn't understand 00:06:11.389 --> 00:06:14.329 why the Lord was willing to serve him in this 00:06:14.329 --> 00:06:17.610 way. Jesus said, unless I wash your feet, you 00:06:17.610 --> 00:06:21.629 will have no part in me. Simon Peter exclaim 00:06:21.629 --> 00:06:25.399 then wash my feet, wash my hands, my head. Lord 00:06:25.399 --> 00:06:28.459 not just my feet, you know, then Peter goes over 00:06:28.459 --> 00:06:30.540 forth the other way wash it all Lord because 00:06:30.540 --> 00:06:36.459 he loved Jesus and Jesus said a person who has 00:06:36.459 --> 00:06:39.139 washed all over does not need to wash except 00:06:39.139 --> 00:06:42.620 the feet to be entirely clean and you disciples 00:06:42.620 --> 00:06:46.300 are clean, but not all of you for Jesus knew 00:06:46.300 --> 00:06:49.160 one would betray him and that is what he meant. 00:06:49.160 --> 00:06:52.220 But when he said not all of you are clean. So 00:06:52.220 --> 00:06:54.639 after washing their feet, he put his robe down 00:06:54.639 --> 00:06:57.300 on again and sat down and said, do you understand 00:06:57.300 --> 00:07:00.220 what I was doing? You call me teacher and Lord, 00:07:00.220 --> 00:07:02.540 and you are right because that is what I am. 00:07:02.920 --> 00:07:05.000 But since I'm your Lord and teacher and have 00:07:05.000 --> 00:07:09.120 washed your feet, you also must wash on one another's 00:07:09.120 --> 00:07:12.040 feet. I have given you an example to follow, 00:07:12.259 --> 00:07:15.240 do as I have done to you. You know what we do 00:07:31.920 --> 00:07:35.279 for someone else when the Bible says no greater 00:07:35.279 --> 00:07:38.839 love than this that a man lays down his life 00:07:38.839 --> 00:07:41.660 for his friends. That's what Jesus did for us 00:07:41.660 --> 00:07:45.920 on the cross literally. And that's what we do 00:07:45.920 --> 00:07:49.310 for one another daily. When we serve and we help 00:07:49.310 --> 00:07:51.550 and we love people, if we give a cup of water 00:07:51.550 --> 00:07:55.310 in his name, we visit someone in prison. We love 00:07:55.310 --> 00:08:00.529 the unlovely. If we give and visit the widows 00:08:00.529 --> 00:08:03.769 and the orphans, when we bless other people, 00:08:03.910 --> 00:08:06.329 we're laying down our life when we could be blessing 00:08:06.329 --> 00:08:10.089 ourself. But thank God for God and his love through 00:08:10.089 --> 00:08:13.779 people. And so this is what's happening. He's 00:08:13.779 --> 00:08:16.339 leaving them an example. He begins to talk to 00:08:16.339 --> 00:08:19.079 them about all the things he wants to tell them 00:08:19.079 --> 00:08:23.839 about prior to his death. And so now at this 00:08:23.839 --> 00:08:27.439 point, he's told them one of them is not clean. 00:08:28.000 --> 00:08:30.560 And so he says, I'm not saying these things to 00:08:30.560 --> 00:08:32.799 all of you. I know the ones I have chosen, but 00:08:32.799 --> 00:08:35.320 this fulfills scripture that says the one who 00:08:35.320 --> 00:08:38.580 eats my food has turned against me. I tell you 00:08:38.580 --> 00:08:41.340 this beforehand. So that when it happens, you 00:08:41.340 --> 00:08:45.100 will believe that I am the Messiah. I tell you 00:08:45.100 --> 00:08:48.019 the truth. Anyone who welcomes my messenger is 00:08:48.019 --> 00:08:51.679 welcoming me. Anyone who welcomes me is welcoming 00:08:51.679 --> 00:08:55.240 the father who sent me. Now Jesus was deeply 00:08:55.240 --> 00:08:57.799 troubled and he exclaimed I tell you the truth. 00:08:57.820 --> 00:09:00.679 One of you will betray you. You know, these are 00:09:00.679 --> 00:09:04.000 men who have walked with him in love and fellowship 00:09:04.000 --> 00:09:07.909 and ministry for three years. He goes on to 00:09:10.350 --> 00:09:12.909 say the disciples looked at each other wondering. 00:09:14.389 --> 00:09:17.370 Who could he mean the disciples? Jesus love was 00:09:17.370 --> 00:09:20.129 sitting next to him at the table and Simon Peter 00:09:20.129 --> 00:09:22.370 motioned him and said, who is he talking about? 00:09:22.710 --> 00:09:25.009 So that disciple leaned over to Jesus and said, 00:09:25.269 --> 00:09:28.269 Lord, who is it? And Jesus responded. It is the 00:09:28.269 --> 00:09:31.100 one I give bread. I dip in the bowl. And when 00:09:31.100 --> 00:09:33.600 he had dipped it, he gave it to Judas, the son 00:09:33.600 --> 00:09:36.480 of Simon Iscariot. And when Judas had eaten the 00:09:36.480 --> 00:09:39.379 bread, Satan entered into him and Jesus said, 00:09:39.919 --> 00:09:42.580 hurry and do what you're going to do. None of 00:09:42.580 --> 00:09:45.879 the others at the table knew what Jesus meant. 00:09:46.639 --> 00:09:48.899 Since Judas was their treasurer, some thought 00:09:48.899 --> 00:09:51.019 Jesus was telling him to go and pay for the food 00:09:51.019 --> 00:09:53.980 or go get some money for the poor. So Judas left 00:09:53.980 --> 00:09:57.789 at once going out at night. And as soon as Judas 00:09:57.789 --> 00:10:00.090 left the room, Jesus said the time has come the 00:10:00.090 --> 00:10:02.970 son of man to enter into the glory and God will 00:10:02.970 --> 00:10:06.210 be glorified because of him. And since God receives 00:10:06.210 --> 00:10:09.409 glory because of the sun, he will give his own 00:10:09.409 --> 00:10:12.950 glory to the sun and he will do it at once. And Simon Peter said, 00:10:54.330 --> 00:10:56.049 Lord, where are you going? And Jesus replied, 00:10:56.090 --> 00:10:58.350 you can't go with me now, but you will follow 00:10:58.350 --> 00:11:01.809 me later. But why can I come Lord? He said, I'm 00:11:01.809 --> 00:11:05.250 ready to die for you. And Jesus said, die for 00:11:05.250 --> 00:11:08.690 me. I tell you the truth, Peter, before the rooster 00:11:08.690 --> 00:11:11.769 crows tomorrow morning, you will deny me three 00:11:11.769 --> 00:11:15.190 times. You know, the power of God, the supernatural 00:11:15.190 --> 00:11:18.610 working miracle working power of God. Works through 00:11:18.610 --> 00:11:21.330 Jesus all through his life on earth and continues 00:11:21.330 --> 00:11:24.549 to work through his children and here again, 00:11:24.549 --> 00:11:28.230 he's prophesying Unfortunately, not a positive 00:11:28.230 --> 00:11:32.289 thing but that that Peter will deny him and Peter 00:11:32.289 --> 00:11:34.730 can't believe it You know, he's kind of shocked 00:11:34.730 --> 00:11:38.610 that That his own Lord and Savior said that but 00:11:38.610 --> 00:11:42.429 he knew whatever Jesus said was true, you know, 00:11:42.830 --> 00:11:46.740 the Bible talks about Passover and Jesus being 00:11:46.740 --> 00:11:50.039 the Passover lamb, not just in Matthew and in 00:11:50.039 --> 00:11:52.899 John, but also in Luke. You can read it in all 00:11:52.899 --> 00:11:55.899 three and it's great to read and reread and understand 00:11:55.899 --> 00:12:00.100 the ultimate sacrifice Jesus was willing to do. 00:12:00.580 --> 00:12:04.860 But you know, he had this last meal with them 00:12:04.860 --> 00:12:07.559 and he was teaching them and sharing with them 00:12:07.559 --> 00:12:10.659 all the things that he felt were important for 00:12:10.659 --> 00:12:14.440 them to understand. Because he was he was becoming 00:12:14.440 --> 00:12:17.440 the living Passover after Jesus died and rose 00:12:17.440 --> 00:12:22.399 again. There was no more need to To have Passover 00:12:22.399 --> 00:12:26.159 for the reasons they did for now. You know, he was talking 00:13:25.340 --> 00:13:27.799 about heaven and he was going to prepare a way, 00:13:28.220 --> 00:13:31.059 but he continues on in verse six. I am the way, 00:13:31.080 --> 00:13:33.539 the truth and the life. No one can go to the 00:13:33.539 --> 00:13:37.230 Father except through me. Only through Jesus 00:13:37.230 --> 00:13:40.649 only through receiving that free gift of salvation. 00:13:41.289 --> 00:13:43.950 Can we one day be in heaven with him? There's no in between the scriptures 00:13:53.769 --> 00:13:56.889 are clear when we receive Jesus. We will live 00:13:56.889 --> 00:14:00.029 in his father's home in heaven. If we do not 00:14:00.029 --> 00:14:03.620 we will. If we do not accept that free gift of 00:14:03.620 --> 00:14:06.620 salvation, you know, Jesus died. It was a great 00:14:06.620 --> 00:14:10.500 price he paid, but he offers it freely to us. 00:14:10.820 --> 00:14:13.820 And if we receive it, we will be in that heaven 00:14:13.820 --> 00:14:17.179 with with Jesus and get to live with him eternally. 00:14:17.419 --> 00:14:20.960 If we choose not to, we will live forever in 00:14:20.960 --> 00:14:23.919 hell. And it's a place of fire and brimstone 00:14:23.919 --> 00:14:29.120 misery that you can't even imagine. The Apostle John and Jesus 00:14:59.649 --> 00:15:02.889 took him up into the heaven and began to show 00:15:02.889 --> 00:15:08.230 him things to come and in Revelation 5 beginning 00:15:08.230 --> 00:15:16.049 in verse 9 it says And they sang a new song with 00:15:16.049 --> 00:15:18.710 these words you are worthy to take the scroll 00:15:18.710 --> 00:15:21.990 and break open the seals for you were Slaughtered 00:15:21.990 --> 00:15:24.929 and your blood has ransomed the people for God 00:15:25.120 --> 00:15:28.379 for every tribe and language, every people, every 00:15:28.379 --> 00:15:31.460 nation, and you have caused them to become a 00:15:31.460 --> 00:15:34.840 kingdom of priests for our God and they will 00:15:34.840 --> 00:15:38.639 reign on the earth.
