Because in the 00:01:27.609 --> 00:01:30.989 book of Revelation, there's so much to be thankful 00:01:30.989 --> 00:01:34.349 for. And the book of Revelation was written by 00:01:34.349 --> 00:01:39.379 John and the Apostle John. And he starts off 00:01:39.379 --> 00:01:42.760 in chapter 1 verse 9, he says, I John, who also 00:01:42.760 --> 00:01:46.060 am your brother and companion in trials in the 00:01:46.060 --> 00:01:49.579 kingdom. patience of Jesus Christ was on the 00:01:49.579 --> 00:01:52.379 aisle called Patmos for the word of the Lord 00:01:52.379 --> 00:01:55.760 and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. He had 00:01:55.760 --> 00:01:59.120 been exiled to that aisle and it continues in 00:01:59.120 --> 00:02:01.700 10 says I was in the spirit on the Lord's Day 00:02:01.700 --> 00:02:05.239 and heard behind me a great voice and so this 00:02:05.239 --> 00:02:09.180 revelation the whole book of Revelation is from 00:02:09.180 --> 00:02:11.539 John and written from John it's what God had 00:02:11.539 --> 00:02:16.159 shown him while he was in the spirit on the Lord's 00:02:16.159 --> 00:02:19.300 Day. And so we're going to turn to Revelation 00:02:19.300 --> 00:02:27.020 22. And Revelation 22, we're going to start in 00:02:27.020 --> 00:02:30.280 verse 1. It says, And he showed me a pure river 00:02:30.280 --> 00:02:34.379 of the water of life, clear and crystal, proceeding 00:02:34.379 --> 00:02:40.159 out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. You 00:02:40.159 --> 00:02:44.860 know the Bible. is so clear. It talks about the 00:02:44.860 --> 00:02:47.300 rivers of life. This is talking about a river 00:02:47.300 --> 00:02:52.500 of water of life. Back in the book of John, there's 00:02:52.500 --> 00:02:56.870 a place where God begins to tell us that he that 00:02:56.870 --> 00:03:00.610 believes on him, talking about Jesus, these are 00:03:00.610 --> 00:03:03.389 his words, as the scripture has said, out of 00:03:03.389 --> 00:03:07.069 his belly will flow rivers of living water. And 00:03:07.069 --> 00:03:09.949 it said, but this he spoke of the Holy Spirit 00:03:09.949 --> 00:03:12.610 which they believe on him should receive for 00:03:12.610 --> 00:03:16.150 the Holy Ghost was not yet given because Jesus 00:03:16.150 --> 00:03:20.150 had not yet been glorified. So the life in this 00:03:20.150 --> 00:03:26.520 river in Revelation 22 is the Holy Spirit. You 00:03:26.520 --> 00:03:28.979 know, it may be literal water as well, but the 00:03:28.979 --> 00:03:31.860 life that's in it, that's the Holy Spirit. And 00:03:31.860 --> 00:03:36.300 that same life as we just read, we receive after 00:03:36.300 --> 00:03:40.979 we get born again, if we ask. will be filled 00:03:40.979 --> 00:03:44.199 with that and out of our belly will flow rivers 00:03:44.199 --> 00:03:48.080 of living water. Why? Because we need the river 00:03:48.080 --> 00:03:51.680 of life constantly flowing in us, flowing out 00:03:51.680 --> 00:03:57.189 of us to other people. Excuse me. And verse two 00:03:57.189 --> 00:03:59.370 says, in the midst of the street there was on 00:03:59.370 --> 00:04:01.270 either side of the river, there was the tree 00:04:01.270 --> 00:04:04.090 of life, which bore the 12 manner of fruits, 00:04:04.330 --> 00:04:06.409 yielding her fruit every month. And the leaves 00:04:06.409 --> 00:04:10.169 of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 00:04:10.909 --> 00:04:13.849 You know, God's healing power is in that river 00:04:13.849 --> 00:04:18.410 of life, which is the Holy Spirit. And that's 00:04:18.410 --> 00:04:21.189 why we can believe God. You know, Jesus took 00:04:21.189 --> 00:04:25.240 those stripes on his back. 39 of them that by 00:04:25.240 --> 00:04:28.259 those stripes we were healed. We were already 00:04:28.259 --> 00:04:30.899 healed back when he took them. We just have to 00:04:30.899 --> 00:04:33.519 receive it. It's a part of our salvation. It's 00:04:33.519 --> 00:04:35.879 a part of a benefit. It's a part of living in 00:04:35.879 --> 00:04:38.879 the kingdom of God. It's a part of being in the 00:04:38.879 --> 00:04:42.750 family of God. It's part of his provision. Wow, 00:04:42.829 --> 00:04:45.009 what a thing to be thankful for. We have so much 00:04:45.009 --> 00:04:48.209 to be thankful for. Verse three, and there shall 00:04:48.209 --> 00:04:53.069 be no more curse, but the throne of God and of 00:04:53.069 --> 00:04:55.910 the lamb, who's the lamb, the lamb of God is 00:04:55.910 --> 00:04:59.370 Jesus Christ, shall be in it, and his servants 00:04:59.370 --> 00:05:02.970 will worship him. You know, heaven is full of 00:05:02.970 --> 00:05:06.040 worship. Sometimes people get uncomfortable in 00:05:06.040 --> 00:05:09.019 worship. They're not sure how to or what to do 00:05:09.019 --> 00:05:13.040 and really all worship is is loving on God for 00:05:13.040 --> 00:05:16.439 who he is and for what he's done, for who he 00:05:16.439 --> 00:05:19.180 is and what he's done. One is love the 00:08:09.519 --> 00:08:11.519 Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul, 00:08:11.639 --> 00:08:15.259 and strength. And the other is to love your neighbor 00:08:15.259 --> 00:08:19.579 as yourself. When we do those things, we won't 00:08:19.579 --> 00:08:23.699 make wrong choices. That's taking away from the Word 00:16:26.500 --> 00:16:29.460 of God. You know, we don't want to add or take 00:16:29.460 --> 00:16:33.200 away. We want to receive it and be blessed. We 00:16:33.200 --> 00:16:36.340 want to receive it and be blessed. And again, 00:16:36.340 --> 00:16:39.659 he says, surely I come quickly. You know, and 00:16:39.659 --> 00:16:42.100 they go, oh, well, you know, Jesus hasn't come. 00:16:42.139 --> 00:16:43.940 I heard about that when I was a kid and when 00:16:43.940 --> 00:16:45.820 my grandmother, my great, great grandmother, 00:16:46.480 --> 00:16:49.500 guess what? The only reason he hasn't come yet 00:16:49.500 --> 00:16:52.720 is he's waiting. The Bible says for the precious 00:16:52.720 --> 00:16:56.419 harvest to come in.
