Well talking to God is 00:01:02.280 --> 00:01:06.739 called prayer and there's many types of prayer 00:01:06.739 --> 00:01:11.640 and this sharing about prayer could take weeks 00:01:11.640 --> 00:01:15.140 and weeks really if we dive into it and get deep 00:01:15.140 --> 00:01:17.739 in it, but Christ keeps everything simple and 00:01:17.739 --> 00:01:20.260 that's what we love about him. And why do we 00:01:20.260 --> 00:01:24.060 want to pray? We pray to communicate with God. 00:01:24.200 --> 00:01:28.079 We talk to him and he will speak to you. But then God tells us in praying in 1st 00:02:28.259 --> 00:02:32.759 Timothy 2 verses 1 through 6, let's look at that 00:02:32.759 --> 00:02:35.259 for a minute because that's going to help us 00:02:35.259 --> 00:02:38.259 as far as what to do about these leaders who 00:02:38.259 --> 00:02:41.560 come into office in every office, local, state, 00:02:41.919 --> 00:02:45.800 government, I mean federal. This is Paul writing 00:02:45.800 --> 00:02:49.060 to Timothy. He says, I exhort you therefore first 00:02:49.060 --> 00:02:52.740 of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, 00:02:52.979 --> 00:02:56.620 and giving of thanks be made for all men. So 00:02:56.620 --> 00:02:59.860 those are all types of prayers. You pray they hear 00:03:22.419 --> 00:03:25.740 from God. You pray they bow their knee that they 00:03:25.740 --> 00:03:28.520 humble themselves before him. That's 00:04:42.139 --> 00:04:46.480 right, he wants all knowledge, all men to have 00:04:46.480 --> 00:04:49.800 that knowledge of God, to come to the saving 00:04:49.800 --> 00:04:56.120 grace of Jesus Christ. He's the only living 00:05:50.699 --> 00:05:54.040 and true God. He's King of all kings. He's Lord 00:05:54.040 --> 00:05:57.000 of all lords. He's Alpha, the Omega, the beginning 00:05:57.000 --> 00:06:00.560 and the end. He knows everything. He sees everything. 00:06:00.800 --> 00:06:05.220 He is there with you right now. If you're going 00:06:05.220 --> 00:06:07.220 through the hardest time in your life or you're 00:06:07.220 --> 00:06:09.500 going through the most glorious time in your 00:06:09.500 --> 00:06:13.180 life, He's with you. He loves to hear from you. 00:07:52.199 --> 00:07:56.500 And he says in his word that we're to pray to 00:07:56.500 --> 00:08:00.120 the Father in Jesus' name because it's through 00:08:00.120 --> 00:08:03.360 the blood of Jesus that we have that access again, 00:08:03.860 --> 00:08:08.540 that great access of God. So we are to pray to 00:08:08.540 --> 00:08:11.759 the Father in Jesus' name. But you can talk to 00:08:11.759 --> 00:08:14.899 God. He wants to hear your heart. He wants to 00:08:14.899 --> 00:08:17.180 commune with you, to have that intimacy. The 00:08:17.180 --> 00:08:19.160 same way you pour out your heart to your best 00:08:19.160 --> 00:08:22.600 friend, guess what? Jesus is a friend that sticks 00:08:22.600 --> 00:08:25.620 closer than a brother. And He's there for you. 00:08:25.639 --> 00:08:29.000 And He can be your best friend. Maybe you're struggling through 00:08:55.190 --> 00:08:57.149 a sin you're trying to overcome. Well, first 00:08:57.149 --> 00:08:59.669 of all, if you give your life to Christ, Christ 00:08:59.669 --> 00:09:01.809 will give you the Holy Spirit and you will have 00:09:01.809 --> 00:09:05.110 the strength to overcome, to walk away. When 00:09:05.110 --> 00:09:07.389 you have the power of God in your life, you have 00:09:07.389 --> 00:09:12.169 the power to walk away and you will do it if 00:09:12.169 --> 00:09:15.009 your heart is set on that. Remember, God gives 00:09:15.009 --> 00:09:18.690 us a free will, so he wants us doing His will 00:09:18.690 --> 00:09:21.730 in the earth, and that always reaps us the benefits 00:09:21.730 --> 00:09:25.269 and the rewards of being born again. Let 00:11:05.830 --> 00:11:09.370 us pray for him. You know, you can call for the 00:11:09.370 --> 00:11:10.929 elders of the church. They can anoint you with 00:11:10.929 --> 00:11:13.389 oil and you can be healed. That's another prayer. 00:11:14.090 --> 00:11:18.490 You know, but Jeremiah says in 29 12 that when 00:11:18.490 --> 00:11:21.450 we call upon him and come and pray to him, he 00:11:21.450 --> 00:11:24.970 will hear us. He also says that in first John 00:11:24.970 --> 00:11:30.549 that he will hear us. Hallelujah. Hallelujah, 00:11:30.990 --> 00:11:34.350 God hears our prayers. And how should we pray? 00:11:34.549 --> 00:11:38.549 You know, 2 Chronicles 7 14 tells us, if my people 00:11:38.549 --> 00:11:41.929 that are called by my name will humble themselves, 00:11:42.129 --> 00:11:45.769 pray and seek my face, turn from their wicked 00:11:45.769 --> 00:11:48.909 ways, I will hear from heaven, forgive their 00:11:48.909 --> 00:11:51.389 sin and heal their land. Do you think America 00:11:51.389 --> 00:11:54.990 needs healing? Yes, indeed. Yes, indeed. And 00:11:54.990 --> 00:11:59.600 many of Americans and others need healing. All 00:11:59.600 --> 00:12:02.879 nations need healing, but it won't happen without 00:12:02.879 --> 00:12:06.120 prayer. It won't happen without the body of Christ 00:12:06.120 --> 00:12:10.059 taking their place. So ask God, what is it on 00:12:10.059 --> 00:12:12.419 earth I'm created to do? You were created for 00:12:12.419 --> 00:12:15.039 a purpose. Jeremiah says he knew you before you 00:12:15.039 --> 00:12:17.759 were in your mother's womb, and you were created 00:12:17.759 --> 00:12:21.990 for a purpose. Hello. Who wants 00:15:06.289 --> 00:15:08.490 to do that? It's not what we want to do in our 00:15:08.490 --> 00:15:11.730 flesh, but really in your heart of hearts. You 00:15:11.730 --> 00:15:15.289 know, people are enemies usually because of misunderstanding 00:15:15.289 --> 00:15:20.960 or they've been, you know. under an influence 00:15:20.960 --> 00:15:23.559 that takes them down a different route. But we 00:15:23.559 --> 00:15:26.700 can pray for our enemies. We can love them and 00:15:26.700 --> 00:15:29.460 we can pray for those that persecute us. Are 00:15:29.460 --> 00:15:32.519 we going to be persecuted? Absolutely. The Word 00:15:32.519 --> 00:15:36.240 of God says if we walk in the ways of God, we 00:15:36.240 --> 00:15:38.759 will be persecuted. But he said be of good cheer. 00:15:38.840 --> 00:15:40.720 They did the same thing to me and the prophets 00:15:40.720 --> 00:15:44.919 before you.
