Verse 00:00:28.489 --> 00:00:30.530 one, we're going to start off right there. It 00:00:30.530 --> 00:00:34.929 says there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, 00:00:35.210 --> 00:00:38.710 a ruler of the Jews. The same came to Jesus by 00:00:38.710 --> 00:00:42.130 night and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that 00:00:42.130 --> 00:00:45.270 you are a teacher come from God for no man can 00:00:45.270 --> 00:00:49.240 do these miracles that you do except. God be 00:00:49.240 --> 00:00:52.659 with him. And Jesus answered and said unto him, 00:00:52.780 --> 00:00:55.439 Truly, truly I say unto you, except a man be 00:00:55.439 --> 00:00:59.219 born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 00:00:59.920 --> 00:01:04.500 Nicodemus said unto him, How can a man be born 00:01:04.500 --> 00:01:08.579 when he is old? Can he enter into a second time 00:01:08.579 --> 00:01:12.379 his mother's womb and be born? You know, Nicodemus 00:01:12.379 --> 00:01:17.739 was being a leader of the Jews and a Pharisee. 00:01:18.200 --> 00:01:21.719 um he knew the he knew the scrolls he knew the 00:01:21.719 --> 00:01:25.760 old old scrolls and teachings of the law and 00:01:25.760 --> 00:01:28.340 so he was having a hard time with some of what 00:01:28.340 --> 00:01:31.879 jesus was saying and so he came to him by night 00:01:31.879 --> 00:01:35.500 he didn't want other Pharisees and people See 00:01:35.500 --> 00:01:38.000 and to know that he's secretly meeting with Jesus, 00:01:38.040 --> 00:01:40.980 but he had questions You know and my hats off 00:01:40.980 --> 00:01:43.939 to him that he wasn't afraid. He was hungry He 00:01:43.939 --> 00:01:47.739 was hungry to know more about this Jesus even 00:01:47.739 --> 00:01:51.579 though other Pharisees Hated Jesus and really 00:01:51.579 --> 00:01:54.799 came hard against him Nicodemus was very curious 00:01:55.420 --> 00:01:58.159 And so he came and asked him and Jesus answered 00:01:58.159 --> 00:02:01.840 him and he said truly truly I say unto you except 00:02:01.840 --> 00:02:04.780 a man be born of water and of the spirit. He 00:02:04.780 --> 00:02:07.760 cannot enter into the kingdom of God that which 00:02:07.760 --> 00:02:10.659 is born of the flesh is flesh and that which 00:02:10.659 --> 00:02:14.949 is born of the spirit is spirit. Marvel not at 00:02:14.949 --> 00:02:17.990 what I said, that you must be born again, for 00:02:17.990 --> 00:02:21.610 the wind blows where it will, and you hear the 00:02:21.610 --> 00:02:24.310 sound, but you can't tell where it comes and 00:02:24.310 --> 00:02:27.349 where it goes. So is everyone that is born of 00:02:27.349 --> 00:02:31.599 the Spirit. In other words, You can't understand 00:02:31.599 --> 00:02:34.400 the things of the spirit can be understood by 00:02:34.400 --> 00:02:38.259 your spirit man not by your flesh And so Nicodemus 00:02:38.259 --> 00:02:40.919 is trying to figure this out in his mind, but 00:02:40.919 --> 00:02:44.099 this is a spiritual matter This isn't a physical 00:02:44.099 --> 00:02:46.960 rebirth. This is a spiritual rebirth because 00:02:46.960 --> 00:02:51.659 when Adam sinned sin got in our spiritual bloodline 00:02:51.659 --> 00:02:56.360 and our bloodline period and He when that happened 00:02:56.590 --> 00:02:59.409 and he fell from the grace and the glory of God 00:02:59.409 --> 00:03:02.969 of in Eden and he was kicked out of Eden there 00:03:02.969 --> 00:03:09.689 had to be a sacrifice to get rid of our sin and 00:03:09.689 --> 00:03:14.810 so Jesus chose to come from heaven be born of 00:03:14.810 --> 00:03:21.340 a virgin Mary grow up on the earth be that ultimate 00:03:21.340 --> 00:03:24.860 sacrifice for us shed his blood and he had to 00:03:24.860 --> 00:03:28.460 be able to say no to sin he had to have the same 00:03:28.460 --> 00:03:32.379 temptation Adam did and he had to be able to 00:03:32.379 --> 00:03:36.919 not sin he had to be a sinless lamb for by one 00:03:36.919 --> 00:03:40.680 Adam sin came into the world by the second Adam 00:03:41.259 --> 00:03:44.759 he took care of the payment for that sin. So 00:03:44.759 --> 00:03:47.759 Hallelujah, Jesus was the second Adam. It speaks 00:03:47.759 --> 00:03:51.599 about that in the New Testament also. Okay, so 00:03:51.599 --> 00:03:54.939 he's explaining to Nicodemus. This is a different 00:03:54.939 --> 00:03:57.840 type of birth, not a natural birth. And so Nicodemus 00:03:57.840 --> 00:04:00.000 answered him in verse nine and said, How can 00:04:00.000 --> 00:04:03.569 these things be? And Jesus said, are you a master 00:04:03.569 --> 00:04:06.069 of Israel and and you don't know these things 00:04:06.069 --> 00:04:09.469 truly truly I say unto you we speak that what 00:04:09.469 --> 00:04:12.110 we do know and testify what we have seen and 00:04:12.110 --> 00:04:15.169 you don't receive our witness if I've told you 00:04:15.169 --> 00:04:17.889 earthly things you believe not how shall you 00:04:17.889 --> 00:04:20.889 believe if I tell you heavenly things you know 00:04:20.889 --> 00:04:24.269 he's trying to explain to the two Nicodemus you 00:04:24.269 --> 00:04:26.490 know the Pharisees you aren't interested you 00:04:26.490 --> 00:04:29.110 you're not wanting to hear it you you don't get 00:04:29.110 --> 00:04:32.050 it you're you're you know, judging and you're 00:04:32.050 --> 00:04:36.569 just not interested. And so he goes on to tell 00:04:36.569 --> 00:04:39.370 him Jesus speaking said, and no man has ascended 00:04:39.370 --> 00:04:42.069 to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, 00:04:42.110 --> 00:04:46.209 even the son of man, which is in heaven and as 00:04:46.209 --> 00:04:48.790 Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, 00:04:48.889 --> 00:04:52.990 even so much more. They are wrought in 00:05:58.660 --> 00:06:01.839 God, you know, he this is he's saying a whole 00:06:01.839 --> 00:06:04.740 lot all of that Jesus said back to Nicodemus 00:06:04.740 --> 00:06:07.459 and answering his question How can these things 00:06:07.459 --> 00:06:12.480 be and he explains, you know God loves God so 00:06:12.480 --> 00:06:16.160 loved the world That's amazing all by itself. 00:06:16.160 --> 00:06:20.360 You know, he could have just ended it and started 00:06:20.360 --> 00:06:24.220 over with a new creation, but he didn't. He loved 00:06:24.220 --> 00:06:29.379 his creation. He loved mankind. He loves us right 00:06:29.379 --> 00:06:33.680 in the place we are at. If you are right now 00:06:33.680 --> 00:06:38.459 in a in a pool of sin, he loves you. It doesn't 00:06:38.459 --> 00:06:43.079 change how much he loves you. He is such a good 00:06:43.079 --> 00:06:46.100 God. He loves you right where you're at. You 00:06:46.100 --> 00:06:49.560 know, sometimes our children make mistakes. Doesn't 00:06:49.560 --> 00:06:52.160 change that we love them. Doesn't mean we're 00:06:52.160 --> 00:06:55.439 happy with what they're doing, but we still love 00:06:55.439 --> 00:06:59.579 them. And God loves us even in a greater way 00:06:59.579 --> 00:07:03.000 than we could even love our children. And that 00:07:03.000 --> 00:07:05.759 love never changes. If you're doing drugs right 00:07:05.759 --> 00:07:08.740 now, God still loves you. If you're drinking 00:07:08.740 --> 00:07:11.860 alcohol right now and getting drunk, God loves 00:07:11.860 --> 00:07:17.879 you. If you're committing an awful tragedy right 00:07:17.879 --> 00:07:20.860 now, God still loves you. It's hard to think 00:07:20.860 --> 00:07:24.139 that there is a love that great, but God loves 00:07:24.139 --> 00:07:29.420 you. He knows we are but man on the earth and 00:07:29.420 --> 00:07:32.860 He knows our framework. He knows us like no one 00:07:32.860 --> 00:07:36.699 else. He loves you, but he does not love sin. 00:07:37.160 --> 00:07:40.279 He hates sin. That's why he came on the earth 00:07:40.279 --> 00:07:43.279 to destroy it and to be the payment for sin. 00:07:43.879 --> 00:07:46.899 So you're already forgiven. The minute you receive 00:07:46.899 --> 00:07:51.240 the free gift of Jesus Christ, you're already 00:07:51.240 --> 00:07:54.639 forgiven. And you know, it says he washes you 00:07:54.639 --> 00:07:59.639 white as snow. He washes that sin as just completely 00:07:59.639 --> 00:08:03.680 gone. You may remember it. He doesn't the Bible 00:08:03.680 --> 00:08:07.759 says he forgives and he forgets it's thrown into 00:08:07.759 --> 00:08:11.019 the sea of forgetfulness. It's it's thrown as 00:08:11.019 --> 00:08:15.019 far as the East is from the West. He loves us, 00:08:15.079 --> 00:08:19.339 but he is the light of the world. He is the light 00:08:19.339 --> 00:08:25.040 of the world. But man as we read in verse 19, 00:08:25.600 --> 00:08:28.319 the light has come into the world for all of 00:08:28.319 --> 00:08:32.159 us to be born again. But there are those that 00:08:32.159 --> 00:08:35.259 love darkness rather than light because their 00:08:35.259 --> 00:08:38.519 deeds are evil. You know, if you love sin is 00:08:38.519 --> 00:08:42.480 the Bible says sin is fun for a season, but that 00:08:42.480 --> 00:08:45.899 season is over. and then it's like gravel in 00:08:45.899 --> 00:08:49.080 your mouth it's not fun it's not fulfilling it's 00:08:49.080 --> 00:08:52.679 not satisfying you know the only thing that can 00:08:52.679 --> 00:08:54.759 fill that void in your heart maybe you've been 00:08:54.759 --> 00:08:57.059 looking around and you've been searching other 00:08:57.059 --> 00:09:01.440 religions like buddhism or hinduism or some of 00:09:01.440 --> 00:09:05.120 the other things jehovah witness or different 00:09:05.370 --> 00:09:08.710 Places that are not of God You know, they don't 00:09:08.710 --> 00:09:11.730 talk about Jesus being the son of God dying on 00:09:11.730 --> 00:09:15.549 a cross for our sin and rising again And he is 00:09:15.549 --> 00:09:18.070 the son of God. It's father son and the Holy 00:09:18.070 --> 00:09:21.669 Ghost. These three are one So he is available 00:09:21.669 --> 00:09:26.629 He is available his mercy and his grace his mercy 00:09:26.629 --> 00:09:34.269 never ends Never ends his mercy never ends You 00:09:34.269 --> 00:09:37.710 know, in first John four nine, it says in this 00:09:37.710 --> 00:09:41.070 was manifested the love of God towards us because 00:09:41.070 --> 00:09:44.649 God sent his only begotten son into the world 00:09:44.649 --> 00:09:47.929 that we might live through him and herein is 00:09:47.929 --> 00:09:51.029 this love not that we love God, but that he loved 00:09:51.029 --> 00:09:55.450 us and sent his son to be payment for our sin. 00:09:56.190 --> 00:10:01.690 He was payment for our sin. Hallelujah. The Bible says 00:10:28.419 --> 00:10:31.879 you can't go anywhere Nothing separates us from 00:10:31.879 --> 00:10:35.759 his love not height nor depth nor width nor heavens 00:10:35.759 --> 00:10:39.620 nor hell nor sin It doesn't matter his love. 00:10:39.759 --> 00:10:42.600 He will love you no matter what choice you make 00:10:42.600 --> 00:10:46.620 He will love you if you choose to deny his gift 00:10:46.620 --> 00:10:49.279 and say no, thank you and live in an eternal 00:10:49.279 --> 00:10:52.789 hell, which is real Heaven's real and hell's 00:10:52.789 --> 00:10:55.629 real and there's no in between and the choice 00:10:55.629 --> 00:10:59.690 is up to us. Let's turn to Luke. Now the parable is 00:13:06.909 --> 00:13:10.110 this, the seed is the word of God. Those that 00:13:10.110 --> 00:13:12.830 hear by the wayside are those that hear, and 00:13:12.830 --> 00:13:15.009 then the devil comes and takes the word out of 00:13:15.009 --> 00:13:17.389 their heart, least they should believe and be 00:13:17.389 --> 00:13:21.009 saved. You know sometimes the Word 00:14:20.049 --> 00:14:23.039 of God is sown in your heart you can hear. the 00:14:23.039 --> 00:14:26.179 word preached you can go yes and receive it with 00:14:26.179 --> 00:14:29.720 joy and then because of the comfortableness especially 00:14:29.720 --> 00:14:32.659 in america we are the most blessed nation on 00:14:32.659 --> 00:14:36.059 the planet and we're very comfortable or if you 00:14:36.059 --> 00:14:38.720 have a lot of wealth and assets and a lot of 00:14:38.720 --> 00:14:41.419 things to enjoy which god is happy that we are 00:14:41.419 --> 00:14:44.740 blessed he does not want everybody poor you can't 00:14:44.740 --> 00:14:48.460 preach the gospel without money you can't be 00:14:48.460 --> 00:14:52.509 poor and preach the gospel so God wants you blessed. 00:14:52.909 --> 00:14:55.470 He wants the word of God out there. He wants 00:14:55.470 --> 00:14:58.750 you enjoying life. He gave us this beautiful 00:14:58.750 --> 00:15:01.830 earth to enjoy. You know, he doesn't mind that 00:15:01.830 --> 00:15:03.830 you have things as long as things don't have 00:15:03.830 --> 00:15:06.970 you and sometimes when you get comfortable and 00:15:06.970 --> 00:15:09.230 you have the big house and the cars and the boats 00:15:09.230 --> 00:15:12.730 and on the water and. Your life gets full of 00:15:12.730 --> 00:15:15.789 caring for those things your business to keep 00:15:15.789 --> 00:15:18.809 that money coming in to take care of it You know 00:15:18.809 --> 00:15:21.429 the riches of this world the pleasures of life 00:15:21.429 --> 00:15:23.730 Maybe you're a big traveler and you're enjoying 00:15:23.730 --> 00:15:26.570 life all over the place and in the beautiful 00:15:26.570 --> 00:15:29.490 countries around the world and God's okay with 00:15:29.490 --> 00:15:31.909 that But he still wants place in your life.
