00:01:00.001 --> 00:01:15.000
Here are the top four episodes of Wholesome TV Picks for 2025 in no particular order.

00:01:15.001 --> 00:02:00.000
First up is episode 26: The Girl from Tomorrow. A hit Australian TV series that thankfully made it to American televisions. Totally binge worthy on New Year's Eve and your kids will love it. You'll meet Alana, a girl from the year 3000 who gets trapped in the year 1990 and is trying to get back home to the year 3000. But first, she has to find the time capsule, which is being hidden by the villain Silverthorne. She meets the wonderful Kelly family who helps her on this mission. There are a ton of reasons why you should watch this show, so you'll have to go check out episode 26 where I take a deep dive into why this show is so binge-worthy.

00:02:00.001 --> 00:03:00.000
Next is episode 28, a made-for-TV movie by TNT called Door to Door, which is a movie that proves that limits don't define your children. This is a very inspirational movie, starring William H. Macy as Bill Porter, a salesman who did not let his disability with cerebral palsy define him or dictate his future. This man will teach something to every person in your family. Hard work, compassion, not judging other people based on their looks. Bill Porter's mother always said two words to him consistently to remind him that he can accomplish anything that he sets his mind to. If you wanna find out what those two words are, check out episode 28 so you can find out the answer to that.

00:03:00.001 --> 00:04:00.000
Next is episode 31: He-Man & She-Ra: The Secret of the Sword. A fantastic, traditional animated film, which if you've listened to me for quite some time now. I am a big proponent of hand animation. It is definitely a lost art that should make a comeback. It has no agendas, great role models, great characters. And I think it's a cartoon that any child can fall in love with. The best part of all this, you don't have to have any previous history of watching the eighties series, He-Man: Masters of the Universe, or She-Ra: Princess of Power. And it actually ties to the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. What's the connection between He-Man & She-Ra: The Secret of the Sword and Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers? You'll have to listen to episode 31 to find out.

00:04:00.001 --> 00:04:30.000
If Wholesome TV Picks has helped you find one movie or show that you've never heard of and enjoyed it, do me a favor and share the show or your favorite episode with a friend and help grow the show in the coming new year.

00:04:30.001 --> 00:05:00.000
Next is one of the most beautiful cinematic masterpieces ever in film history. The Black Stallion from 1979 starring Kelly Reno and based on the classic novel by Walter Farley. This breathtaking film will sweep you off your feet. You will be moved by the storyline, the music, and the beautiful acting between Cas-Ole, the horse that portrays the Black Stallion, and Kelly Reno, who portrays Alec Ramsey. This is a timeless story of courage, resilience, and above all, the bond between animals and their humans, or in this case, a horse and a boy.

00:05:00.001 --> 00:05:30.000
I go into all the rich details why this movie needs to be on your next family movie night. You'll be amazed to know that there is a famous director who made this movie that is related to Nicholas Cage. You'll have to go listen to episode 32 to find out.

00:05:30.001 --> 00:06:00.000
Finally, which underrated TV series did I talk about this year that didn't quite get the love it deserved? Drum roll please. MacGyver. MacGyver was the ultimate hero of the 1980s, and this show is so under appreciated. Richard Dean Anderson starred as the intellectual hero who doesn't use guns and uses his brain to solve problems. There are so many things that you and your son or daughter, family in general, can learn from MacGyver. Too many things to list in this quick episode, but above all, a love for science and how to think outside the box, which is something I think is sorely lacking in today's society.

00:06:00.001 --> 00:06:30.000
This is a fun, action packed show that is totally bingeable and it's one of those shows that my family cannot get enough of. There was a reboot in 2016, and Richard Dean Anderson was even asked to appear in the reboot. What was his reaction? Go back and check out episode 11 to find out.

00:06:30.001 --> 00:07:00.000
I have a special favor to ask of you. 00:07:00.001 --> 00:07:30.000
Next week we're kicking off 2026 with a animated movie that I don't think many people know about. Based on the famous book about a little bunny, which is a perfect bridge between Christmas and New Year's.

00:07:30.001 --> 00:08:00.000
That's it for this final episode of 2025. Thanks for listening. Have a happy, safe New Year's with your family. Don't forget that your values matter and your TV should too. I'll catch you next week. Take care.
