My daughter and I actually visited the real Spirit a few months ago to celebrate his 30th birthday, alongside hundreds of other fans, including the films director Lorna Cook; Episode 11. MacGyver, you can't beat this man's genius. The science alone makes it worth watching, and it's full of compassion, kindness, clever problem-solving and minimal violence.

Small caveat though. My family and I just finished watching season one again. And MacGyver does kiss many women in many episodes throughout season one. Over time the romantic moments become less frequent and almost down to nothing.
