I practice the following everyday: Gratitude – I am grateful for my life – for waking up every morning. The rest of the day is up to me. What kind of day do you want to have? Will you create? You have that choice. It’s all up to you. Remember, you’re in the driver seat of your life. Appreciate all of the good things in your life, rather than focusing on what you perceive you lack. Express immense gratitude. Live in the moment. Live every second like it’s your last. Every day like it’s your last day. Be kind to others – it’ll feel good. Use positive rather than negative language. Do not speak in negative tones or you will attract negativity into your life. This will take you down a bad path. Smile as often as you can. Feel free to laugh at yourself. I’ll say something ridiculous at times and finish with laughing at myself. Do not put yourself down. A sense of humor is important and will always make you feel light. The Universe is listening. Be spontaneous. I tend to get bored with things quickly and know this about myself. So, I do things that I would normally never do. And notice how happy I am afterwards. Trying new things is interesting, fun, and meeting new people. It’s always good to expand your mind and learn new things. I’m not the type of person to learn from reading a book for instance. I like to physically do things to learn and it’s a great way to meet people (if that’s what you’re looking for). Recently, I signed up for an art and wine night. You wouldn’t believe how fun that was. Will definitely do that again! Who knew I was artistic…I didn’t. lol Always good to explore new hobbies and activities. Many positive things come from this. Not only are you expanding your mind, you’re giving your body the exercise it needs (if you choose to go to a park and throw a frisbee or football). Fresh air, exercise, helps clear the mind. On that note, a healthy diet works wonders. I do enjoy my vino, but always make sure to load my system up with great protein and vegetables. Everyone is different. Do what your body needs. You’ll feel energized, healthier, and happier. That takes me to self-care. No one will ever care for your as much as you will. No one will ever love you as much as you will. You come first…always. When you care for you, you are respecting yourself and when you respect yourself others will. Build positive relationships. Stay away from people who bring you down, make you feel bad about yourself. The right people will lift you up, compliment you, enjoy being around you, won’t criticize you or judge. I have so many women I have met who copy me. The way I dress, look, speak. Sometimes this pisses me off but then I change my mindset and feel sorry for them. Why do they copy me? Do they not know who they are? I find this sad and actually feel bad for them. To not know yourself and have to be like someone else – think about this. And then I think, wow, to have women who are so jealous of me to want to copy me and be me – I’ll take that as a compliment. Right? Be your lovely, unique and authentic self. This is a huge one! Connect with nature. Weekend getaways are fantastic! If you can’t get away for an entire weekend, go for the day. I have a favourite place I absolutely adore and cannot get enough of. People are smiling everywhere always; the trees are beautiful and full of life. The peaceful sound of the water (lakes, rivers, etc) helps me reconnect with myself and recharge my batteries. It works! If you lack patience, learn it. Trust me on this one. The amount of patience I had in the past was immense. As I’m getting older, I’m noticing I’m losing my patience. Every day I will have something come across my path that will truly piss me off. I will remove myself from whatever/whoever it is and breathe. I’ll grab a glass of vino, go for a walk, listen to the music I enjoy because it makes me happy. Before you know it, I’m back to my lovely self and feel great. Do what makes you feel good and happy. Develop Good Habits. Happy and successful people choose good habits because they love themselves. Take a chance and live a little. Do different things – go to different places. Take responsibility when you mess up. It doesn’t feel good to admit to yourself or others when you’ve made a mistake, but when you feel it and admit it there’s nothing more freeing AND you will be respected by you first, then by others. To be the happiest, incorporate healthy habits into your daily life such as keeping a gratitude journal, practice kindness, nurturing optimism, learn to forgive, invest in the right relationships, avoid overthinking, savour life's joys, and commit to goals. This will make happiness a permanent fixture in your life. Let’s bring back love and joy in the world – spread it. The governments want us to fight against each other. Let’s all be on the same team and bring back a happy place. Please like and subscribe to my channel. I love you.
