TRANSCRIPT Nothing Is Impossible With God (Luke 1:26-38) A Sermon By Elise Beatrice - Sunday 16 November 2025 “Our Father who is in Heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us today our daily bread, forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory are Yours. Now and Forever. Amen." Lord, Your will be done in every area of our lives and this reading. Your perfect will be done, my Lord. Amen. Luke 1:26-38, "26 In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a village in Galilee, 27 to a virgin named Mary. She was engaged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of King David. 28 Gabriel appeared to her and said, “Greetings, favored woman! The Lord is with you!” 29 Confused and disturbed, Mary tried to think what the angel could mean. 30 “Don’t be afraid, Mary,” the angel told her, “for you have found favor with God! 31 You will conceive and give birth to a Son, and you will name Him Jesus. 32 He will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give Him the throne of His ancestor David. 33 And He will reign over Israel forever; His Kingdom will never end!” 34 Mary asked the angel, “But how can this happen? I am a virgin.” 35 The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and He will be called the Son of God. 36 What’s more, your relative Elizabeth has become pregnant in her old age! People used to say she was barren, but she has conceived a son and is now in her sixth month. 37 For nothing is impossible with God.” 38 Mary responded, “I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you have said about me come true.” And then the angel left her." So, this is a very powerful story, a true story, the story of our Lord Jesus Himself, which establishes Him, confirms Him to be the Son of God God, to be Everlasting and to be God Himself. This has never been heard before. For the Virgin Mary to receive such News as this must have been so overwhelming. So... I don't know the right word to express this. But this was not just our usual stories; it was not just our usual news; this was the News from God, about the Messiah coming down, from Heaven to Earth. The Lord's ways are not our ways, and humans' ways are not the Lord's ways. In Verse 30-33, "Don’t be afraid, Mary,” the angel told her, “for you have found favor with God! 31 You will conceive and give birth to a Son, and you will name Him Jesus. 32 He will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give Him the throne of His ancestor David. 33 And He will reign over Israel forever; His Kingdom will never end!” Obviously, God is establishing His Son as the Sovereign Lord who will reign forever. He is introducing Him to be The King. But This King is not like the other kings. He is everlasting, and He will reign forever. If we look at King David, he did not reign forever. If we look at King Saul, he did not reign forever. If we look at the other kings, like King Hezekiah, he did not reign forever, and Jehoshaphat did not reign forever, and the other kings of Israel did not reign forever because they are humans; they are mortals, and a mortal cannot live forever. A mortal cannot reign forever. So, the Everlasting King, who is God, and everything else that is beyond human comprehension, has to come from above in order to reign on the throne of David for eternity. And Mary asked the angel, “But how can this happen? I am a virgin.” She was a human who knew only one way; she knew only the ways of humans. She knew that in order for someone to have a baby, they needed to do it the human way. That's why she asked that question. But this is the Lord here, whose ways are above our ways, beyond our comprehension, who comes with a different way to bring His Son to earth. If we just visualise our Lord Jesus in Heaven with His Father and His Holy Spirit, and the Lord Father coming up with the only solution to save humanity on earth, which is that His Son, Jesus, who was already by His side in Heaven, comes to Earth. He has to be born, He has to come among Humans, be born like a human, but not conceived like a human. There have been false rumours out there, poisonous lies, teachings of demons, polluting the air, portraying Baby Jesus as if conceived like a human. Such blasphemy only comes from demons. Demons are demons who know the truth about the Lord God, but lie to hide it. However, humans are humans and only know the ways of humans, but it does not mean that if God wants to bring His Son to earth, He has to follow the same ways of humans. God, who created all things, comes with ways that surpass our ways, all of which are good, holy, sinless and perfect. Growing as a fetus in a woman's womb, like any other baby, was the way that the Lord God chose to bring His Son to earth, which humans knew and understood very well. God could have done it in any other way, but He saw fit to do it this way, so that we humans would relate to the Birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, God, who came in human flesh. Also, it was so that the Lord Jesus would experience every part of human life. It is very important that we understand this: "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the Power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and He will be called the Son of God." This is the way by which the Lord Jesus happened to be in the womb of His mother, the virgin Mary, which is a miracle and the power of the Holy Spirit. In Romans 8:11, we learn this, "And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of His Spirit who lives in you." So this is showing us the Power of the Holy Spirit. God is power; He is the power above all powers. He raised Christ from the dead. So the Holy Spirit of God raised Christ from the grave. And, since He did that, what is impossible with God? Nothing. And, we will also rise; the Spirit of God will also give life to us. Christ is God, and God is Spirit. And Christ Himself, who is Spirit, will raise us from the grave and give us new bodies. God is the power above all powers. He can raise the dead. 1 Corinthians 6:14 says, "By His power God raised the Lord from the dead, and He will raise us also." Who can do that? Can humans do those things? No. The Lord makes things happen just by commanding them to be. Yes. He created Adam from mere dust and Eve from Adam's rib as already adults, then breathed into them to give them life. (Genesis 2:7). So, can anyone take dust and make a man already an adult and breathe into them to make them live, to make them breathe? No one. Satan cannot do that. No demon can do that. No one. This is only God who has that power and ability to do such things that are so far beyond human comprehension. No human reproduction between a man and a woman was needed before Adam and Eve came to be. The Lord said in Genesis 1:28, "Be fruitful and multiply." From Adam and Eve, the whole population on earth came to be. So yes, since God can make a man already as an adult, let alone creating a fetus in his mother's womb without following the ways of humans. So these things are beyond our comprehension; they are wonderful. Psalm 139:13-14, "For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well." So, we see, a man and a woman come together, and the result of that is a baby that God Himself has already created, has already put all things together, so that when a man and a woman come together, the result of that is a baby. It is not human effort, and it is not the man's effort; they are just using what God has already put there. Since God, who does all those wonderful things, we can't even truly comprehend how God does those things, but since He can do all those things and all the ways, do we really think that He cannot command a fetus inside a woman's womb by the power of His Holy Spirit? Let us remember that the Holy Spirit of God is God, the Spirit of God, the Father, God, the Son Jesus, and God, the Holy Spirit. He is not a human being, and He does not have genitals to do as humans do. Such things cannot be done in Heaven. God does not do such things. And anyone who believes otherwise is listening to the teachings of demons, which is blasphemy against a Holy God. And it would be a wise thing for them to seek to repent and learn to reject such blasphemous thoughts from demons. Christ, among us, is born in the same way that any baby is born, but as God in the flesh, so that we can relate. He had to go through suffering. In order for us to relate to that, we had to look at another man in front of us, looking just like us, feeling the pain just like us, in agony before understanding what He went through on the Cross for us. If God had come to earth as Spirit, if He had been among us in His spiritual form, no human would have related to anything because God's spiritual body cannot be whipped and pierced. And no one has the power to whip Him. So He had to deny Himself, His spiritual form, to come here among us to be born as a man, yet still God in human flesh. And such great things can only be done by a wondrous Lord, whose ways are far beyond our ways. And also, just the fact that God lives in Humans through His Holy Spirit is too wonderful for us humans to comprehend. I mean, the Lord's Holy Spirit is in me, and in His devoted servants and true children. How do we even understand that? But He is there. For He prays, for He sings, for He speaks to us; those who are listening to Him, those who live for Him, those who hang to His words. He communicates to us the mystery that many don't know, and that is, on its own, powerful, so powerful. It is written in Genesis 1:1-3, In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of waters. 3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light." So, that is God, creating the heavens and the earth just by commanding them to be. And the Holy Spirit is playing a very vital role in this Creation; He is the Third One in the Trinity. He is the Power, God's Power. In Psalm 104:30, "When You send Your Spirit, they are created, and You renew the face of the earth." In Isaiah 45:18, "For thus says the LORD, who created the heavens—He is God; He formed the earth and fashioned it; He established it; He did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited: “I am the LORD, and there is no other." So, the Lord has spoken. It is clear, He is the Lord. There is no other. His ways are beyond our comprehension. When we will finally be with Him when He comes again, He will reveal some mysteries that we have not known, just as even now, He reveals mysteries to us. God does not reveal everything; what the Lord chooses not to reveal to us, we should not be racking our brains trying to know what God has not chosen to reveal to us. In that case, demons will come in with their lies and give you lies. So this is the power of God, and that is not even it. The best is yet to come when the Lord Jesus comes again. So, this is unquestionably the Power of God. We cannot limit God to human ability when He is the One who created all humans. God commands people to be. God can create someone from nothing. He has demonstrated it. Can any human take dust and create someone? No. Has any human ever put his spirit in another human? No. The evil power cannot be compared to the good power of God. God is the Power above all powers, the Authority above all authorities, the Kingdom above all kingdoms, the Lord of lords, the King of kings. “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and He will be called the Son of God. 36 What’s more, your relative Elizabeth has become pregnant in her old age! People used to say she was barren, but she has conceived a son and is now in her sixth month. 37 For nothing is impossible with God.” Yes, these Bible Verses and all the Scriptures, and if we just look around us, we will see that nothing is impossible to God. Why was it important that we understand that Elisabeth, Mary's cousin, was pregnant for six months? The angel Gabriel could've just said, "She's now pregnant." But he said, "In her sixth month." This was to emphasise to Mary, and to say to her, "Listen, this situation is not by human power; this great News I'm bringing to you is not by human Power; it's not by the human ways that it will happen, but by God's power. Look at your cousin who was barren; it's by the Grace of God that she has become pregnant. It has indeed been six months. That pregnancy is already official, and her son will be born. And the Son of God you will give birth to will be a miracle from God, done by the Power of God, not in the ways of men. Another reason to emphasise that Elisabeth was pregnant for six months was so that we are aware that John the Baptist, who was conceived, was also a special baby who had to come ahead of time, ahead of the Messiah, ahead of the Lord Jesus, to make way for the Lord. He had to be six months older than the Lord. In fact, he was the first baby in the womb to worship the Messiah and to receive His Holy Spirit when the Virgin Mary greeted Elisabeth. The Lord Jesus was just a Fetus, but He was already blessing with His Holy Spirit John the Baptist, who was six months in the womb of His mother, Elisabeth. That is absolutely amazing. And these situations are miracles of God; the wonders of God, that no humans can comprehend. But with the Lord, He helps us to understand that it is the trust. When you are with God and let Him truly transform you, you can just tell the truth when you hear it. Many out there no longer know what the truth is because they team up with satan who takes the truth away from them and replaces that truth with lies. Many have grown to become comfortable with the lies. The lies have become truth in the lives of many. And God, who is the Truth, is the Only One who teaches people, who reveals the truth; His truth to those who are seeking the truth. So, a miracle, why do we say a miracle? Something is considered a miracle when it is impossible with humans. Elisabeth's pregnancy was a miracle because she had gone past the age of having children, and she was also barren. Without God, we're nothing. God can do all things. And the Virgin Mary's pregnancy was a Miracle. And the One who is the Miracle worker, God, was the One making all those great things happen. Only God makes things happen; the things that are beyond human comprehension. For nothing is impossible with God. That is the case. We should not look at these things from our perspective, or we'll be deceived. There are certain things we cannot look into as we see things, but we must approach them as God sees things, from God's perspective. For these things are possible with Him, but with us, they are impossible. Miraculous things are possible in our lives when we believe in the Lord Jesus. The Lord has performed many miracles in my life because I believe, and He saw that I would live for Him. - The Lord’s ways are not our ways... He comes with ways that surpass our ways, all of which are good, holy, sinless and perfect. - In Mark 6, we have seen that Christ, when He went to His own town, His people would not welcome Him. And because of their unbelief, the Lord could not perform any miracles among them except to place His hands on a few sick people and heal them, out of His grace and mercy for those sick people. The Lord did not lack the power to perform wonders among them. Why perform miracles before those who don't believe in miracles? So He went where people welcome miracles, and He performed those miracles among them. The same way when people don't believe in God, God doesn't even show Himself to them. If you don't believe that these words are alive, and you're seeking to know the truth, the Lord will not use His words to speak to you. But behind these words is a Being, a powerful Being, God. And we should not compare Him with anything, we should not reduce Him to a human when He's the Supernatural Being above all things, the Most High God, and Nothing is too hard for Him. Nothing. So, Mary was convinced; she was convinced. And she responded, “I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you have said about me come true.” And the work of the angel Gabriel was done. So he departed, for he had done what he came to do. And everything happened as God had spoken, as the angel had announced, and our Lord Jesus, The Saviour Of The World, was born and laid in the Manger, yes, God among us, God with us, Immanuel, God is with us, bringing joy and love, and peace, bringing perfect harmony, bringing perfect unity in Christ, in love, bringing hope and eternal Life, bringing deliverance from evil, coming to unite humans with His Father, our only Saviour who has no equal. Yes, He was born, and now He is with us, as Father God has announced through His prophets. He was born, and He lived, and He did what He came to do on the Cross; He died for us, and whoever has received what He has given us on that Cross and living in Him, by His words, and given that they don't give up and surrender to the darkness, they are saved, thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ. So, I pray that you will listen to this, to this inspiration from the Lord to remind us of this beautiful story, this beautiful truth about our Saviour; Beautiful Truth: our Saviour Himself. May the Lord Jesus' peace be with you. Oh, Bless You, Glorious Father. Bless You for this beautiful message; Bless You for this News, great News, good News to bring peace on earth to those with whom You are pleased. Thank You so much for Your Love, for this great love You had for us, this undying love You felt for us to send Your Son to us. And I pray that people will believe in Him, welcome Him and let Him save them, and that they will listen to Him, as You have commanded us, Glorious Father God. Thank You, Lord, for those You save daily, for the lost You find, for the sick You heal, for the fatherless You adopt, for the homeless You shelter, for the oppressed You strengthen, for the captives You set free, and for the sinful ones You lead to repentance. Bless You, Oh Lord, Gracious Father God. Thank You for Your wonders and Your miracles. You never cease to amaze us. Thank You for every good thing on this earth, Lord. Thank You for You, thank You for Your Son Jesus, and for Your Holy Spirit. In the Name of Your Son Jesus, I pray. Thank You, Father. Amen.
