TRANSCRIPT The Deadly Sins The World Doesn’t Care About A Sermon By Elise Beatrice - Monday 23 June 2025 Holy Father, God of Abraham, God of Isaac, God of Jacob Thank You so much, Lord, for Your grace, Your great presence, for Your teachings and Your inspiration, for Your truth that sets us free. Yes, Lord, thank You for everyone here, thank You for Your blessing. Thank You, my Jesus, for Your Holy Spirit, for Your love and for Your Joy. Lord, help me to express what You give in a way pleasing to You. Please help me to say everything You want me to say. In Your Holy Name, Lord Jesus. Thank You, Father. Amen. The Deadly Sins the World Doesn’t Care About It is really important that, as individuals, we understand who we are and recognise that the consequences of every single wrong thing we do are always hurting us or those around us, in some way. We live in this world, and we understand that God, the Father, who created us through His Son, Jesus, put us here. We are moral people, we are godly people, we are those who understand right from wrong. We have the moral law, and the Scripture teaches us in Romans 13:1-7 that all moral law was instituted by God. So everything that is good came from God. But on this earth, not everyone respects what comes from God. Not everyone loves morality, not everyone loves justice, not everyone loves righteousness. And for this reason, many follow their own opinions and do what they think is fine to them, even if it is wrong. Many live their lives and would judge according to the world’s view and say to themselves, “Well, this is not a crime because I won’t go to prison for doing it.” But we must be aware of the deadly sins that the world doesn’t care about. There are many things that people will do and not go to prison for, yet they are deadly and will kill them spiritually and send them to hell, if they never repent of them and seek the Lord Jesus. For example, bullying. Have we seen people going to prison for the act of bullying someone? Maybe in other places in the world, but not where I am. So bullying, abusing: those are all deadly sins that the world doesn’t care about. I have heard of many people, and have also witnessed from some around me, calling the police to say, “My son is being abused.” But some responded, “If we don’t see any sign of bruising, we cannot do anything.” They want to see actual signs of bruising, and they want to see some physical violence before they take that case seriously. And time and time again, parents have complained about this. They are looking to see the physical signs of abuse in order to take things seriously, but they are not considering the emotional and spiritual signs of bullying. They’re not considering the emotional damage. I myself was bullied at school. Those who bullied me were never accused; they never went to prison for it. Of course, if you say, “This person is bullying me,” they’re not just going to put them in prison, but it does not mean that their bullying is right. I would have sleepless nights; I would cry myself to sleep, and if I did not have the Lord with me, I could have done something, I could have been depressed. The Lord helped me go through it. Those people did such a cruel thing. They were not there when I was crying myself to sleep; they were not there when I was approaching the school building, and suddenly, a wave of darkness was pressing me down, knowing that I would have to go through that thing continuously. I mean, I’ve seen kids who became damaged emotionally due to being bullied at school. Also, just a few years ago, there was an eight-year-old boy in the newspaper who killed his brother in a way so nasty because he’d been bullied. But once he reported the bully at school, no one did anything about it; in his home, no one did something about it. So this boy was emotionally damaged, and had been alone with no one to understand his situation, with no one to be there with him, to comfort him and tell him everything is going to be fine. These bullies led this little kid to retaliate and kill his little brother. Who did that to him? Who did that to this boy who became a murderer at the age of eight? Those bullies. Those are deadly sins. This boy murdered his little brother, and he confessed to it. And that was the emotional damage those bullies had done to him. And those bullies were not children; they were 11 years old, thirteen years old, fifteen years old. They did it to this little kid. Will you, the bully, say that you never murdered in your life? No. Because you murdered that baby, though it was not your hands you used, you drove that boy, tormented him, and he ended up what he is, a murderer, because of you. Was the school guilty in God’s eyes? Yes. Because they did nothing about it when they should have done something about it to prevent the eight-year-old from getting to that level. Was the family at home guilty in God’s eyes? Were the bullies guilty in God’s eyes? Yes, although in the world, many won’t find them guilty. So, we need God in our lives, because God brings people to realise that, “Okay, this is wrong to bully someone. Why should someone cry themselves to sleep because of me?” God brings people to realise that. Some say proudly, “Well, I smacked you on the face, would it send me to prison? I watch pornography. Did they put me in prison for watching pornography?” Bullying someone is sinning against them and against the Creator, the Lord God. Bullying is hatred, not love, and hatred is equivalent to murder according to the Lord Jesus. Should the one sinning not turn to the Lord and repent, that sin will kill them spiritually and send them to hell. Also, watching pornography is sinning against God and whoever you’re going against, either your parents or your wife, and defiling your body, which is supposed to be the Temple of God’s Holy Spirit. Watching pornography is perversion and disobedience to God. It means that you are listening to demons of perversion and serving satan by your tastes and choices. It is sexual immorality, and should you not turn from it, it will kill you spiritually and send you to hell. Although no one can put you in prison in this world for the sin of hatred, bullying, sexual immorality, and many others, and some people even promote them, such deadly sins are condemnable in God’s eyes. And should you not turn from them and seek the Lord Jesus to heal you from them, they will kill you spiritually and send you to hell. God hates any sin and will punish everyone who does not repent of their sins. Disobedience to God is a deadly sin that no one will ever send you to prison in this world for. However, hell awaits everyone who disobeys the Lord until they die in their unrepented sins. So, did they put you in prison for watching pornography? No. But that does not mean it is right. The deeds of ‘darkness’ are the deadly sins the world doesn’t care about. Billions of people who don’t listen to the Lord Jesus are watching pornography, and they think they’re fine, saying, “I’m not hurting anybody by watching pornography.” Indeed, they are hurting themselves, perverting themselves with the evil spirits of perversion, and they are doing these things that will cause them to treat women wrong, to abuse women, and see them just as those they watch online. They would lose respect for women and for their mums. And by doing that, they are falling into the sins of dishonouring their parents (God’s commandment number five) and sexual immorality. The Lord Jesus said in Revelation 21:8, “But as for the cowardly, the unbelievers, the corrupt, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.” So, you may not go to prison for all your wrongs here on earth, but if you’re hurting people and going against the One True God, you will give account to Him. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what they have done in the body, whether good or evil” (2 Corinthians 5:10). So, don’t think like this, “It is not wrong because I’m not going to go to jail for it.” But you have to ask the question, “Is this hurting someone around me?” Because if what you’re doing is hurting someone around you, giving them sleepless nights, making them sad, worried, making them frightened, that is the deadly sin that if you don’t turn from it, even if the law on earth does not put you in prison, you will go to hell, which is worse than the prison on earth. So, we should not behave because we fear prison; we should behave because it is good to behave, because we love people, and we don’t want to hurt them. I don’t seek to not hurt people because I fear prison; it’s because I just simply love people. When you love people, you don’t hurt them in any way, whether you’ll go to prison for it or not. That’s not the reason why we should behave. The same way that we should not behave and respect people because we fear hell; we should behave because we love one another, because we love God, and when we love God, we obey God. We obey Him, we love our parents, we obey them, especially when our parents are godly and just want the best for us, and are not hurting us but teaching us good. The Lord Jesus teaches us to pray even for those who hurt us, and love even our enemies. This does not mean, however, that we should team up with evil or promote sins. Many things on this earth do not send people to prison. Many get away with deadly sins. The deeds of darkness of any kind are deadly sins, and many are welcoming those demonic things that hurt them and those around them. They lead people to become depressed, to quarrel, to hate, and they are not at peace in their home. We should be able to know right from wrong and behave whether we go to prison or not go to prison, because that is love - loving each other. Like the Lord Jesus said, “Love one another, as I have loved you. Love your neighbour as yourself,” meaning, “Do to others as you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.” Why are you inflicting pain on your neighbour? Would you want your neighbour to inflict the same pain on you? Would you want them to bully you? Would you want them to bring them to the edge of suicide? Would you want them to torment and distort your mind to the point that you’ll go and kill your little brother? So, we are humans, and we can be moral because God created us in His beautiful image; we have the ability to know right from wrong, and we should not just think, “Okay, I’m not going to do this because I’ll go to prison.” It should be that, “I’m not going to do this because it is hurting somebody. Because my wrong behaviour is hurting somebody, I will not do it. I will not do this because it’s going against God, because it is hurting God.” How many times have we seen abusive husbands who beat their wives night and day, and the next day, they buy them flowers, and say sorry, but then they do it again, and over and over again. Haven’t we seen this over and over again? His wife is crying herself to sleep, feeling useless. Until she drops dead, no one is going to send the abusive husband to prison. The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 5:21-22, “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment. But I say to you that everyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever curses will be liable to the hell of fire.’” So while you might not call yourself a murderer, by hating people, you are murdering them in your heart. Because hate is the opposite of love, and God is love. By resenting people, this drives you to hate them secretly and to hold a grudge against them. You are not blessing them; you are cursing them in your heart. And that is an evil spirit of hatred, and if you don’t get yourself out of it, you are committing sin, you are living as a murderer, in the eyes of the Lord, and if you don’t turn from those sins, you will go to hell, which is worse than physical prison on earth. What God considers sin is everything that is evil, everything that opposes Him. Everything that is not from Him is sin, because God is good, and God only comes up with good things. And every single thing that is not good is not from God. And things that hurt others are sins. Why is there so much suffering in the world? Why is there so much evil? Because people did not obey God. Because people did not listen to God. It is because they chose to rebel against God’s moral ways that fix us and fix the world and bring people together in perfect unity. If everyone had listened to God, if everyone had obeyed God, they would not have spread the evilness of demons and satan. But God is there, wanting to fix it. But are people listening to God? Who is here on this earth who has not contributed to the evil of the world? It was not God who did that. Every human has contributed to the evil of this world. But when they finally wake up and repent of their sins to God, God uses them now to undo the damage in the lives of those who are still alive, if those people who are still alive listen to God. Every wrong thing we do is bound to hurt someone around us. Because the devil is behind it to make sure that it hurts someone, or just takes someone away from God. And when people are away from God, they have no protection from the devil. So now, the devil can just conquer their lives and use their bodies as his place of habitation, and their minds for his evil purpose, and they will never be able to reason because the devil has taken over them. Let’s wake up. Let us wake up! Here, Matthew 5 from verse 2-12, “And He opened His mouth and taught them, saying: 3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” The poor in spirit here are those who recognise that they need God. Every single human needs God, but of course, they do not admit it. But in the meantime, you’re seeing the damage in their life. Don’t rely on your material things, and judge from those, and think that your life is fine. Every single human needs God. We need God. 3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. 4 “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Yes, they may go through injustice, suffering, but as long as they stick to what is good, they will be comforted. 5 “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. 6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. 7 “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. 8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. 9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. 10 “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. 12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” These are the words of our Lord Jesus Christ. He came to save us from darkness, from our sins. He said even to His disciples, “Those who pick up the sword will perish by the sword.” So, every time you’re insulting somebody, bearing false accusations against them, you’re carrying a sword. You are using a sword because people can hurt you with a sword, with a knife, they can hurt you with abuse, with injustice, insults, and lies, and those are all different types of evil weapons. And if anyone carries any of these swords, they will perish by it. “Love one another as I have loved you,” says the Lord. We should stop living for ourselves. We should open the door to selflessness and let the Lord Jesus, who is selfless, bless us with His selflessness. Let the Lord who is Love bless us with true Love. Let the Lord who is righteousness clothe us with His righteousness. We’ll be happy, not just here on earth, but for eternity. May the Lord’s peace be with you. Lord Jesus, thank You so much for this sermon. Thank You for this inspiration, Lord. Thank You for Your grace and Your mercy, for Your love and Your peace, Your joy, Your light and Your Salvation. Thank You for curing those who want Your cure. Thank You for healing those who want You as their Healer. Thank You for saving those who want You as their Saviour. You have made Yourself available for everyone who wants You. Everyone who truly wants can have You. Your forgiveness is for everyone, but they must come and take it. Your eternal life is for everyone, but they must come and take it. You have everything; You own all things that are good. You have enough to give everyone. But they must come to the One who has all kinds of beautiful things to give - Love, perfect love that casts out fear. Thank You for blessing Your people.
