No Sin Is Too Much For The Lord Jesus To Forgive (Part 2)

No sin is too much for God to forgive. It is true, but there is an exception, ‘Blaspheming the Holy Spirit.’ It is written that it is an unforgivable sin. 

The Lord Jesus said,
“I tell you the truth, all sin and blasphemy can be forgiven,
But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of eternal sin. Jesus made this statement because they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit” (Mark 3:28-30).

God is Spirit, and He is Holy. The Spirit of God can only be Holy, for no evil is found in God. Jesus was God, and still Is, and His Spirit was Holy, and still is, not evil. So, by claiming that the Lord Jesus was possessed by an evil spirit, those Pharisees implied that God’s Spirit was evil. An evil spirit cannot possess God, nor Christ, who was God in the human flesh, for He never sinned like humans. Satan and demons can only possess humans, not God. They have no power to possess God. God is their only threat. And humans need the Lord Jesus to be delivered from evil spirits. So, they committed an unforgivable sin by claiming that God had an evil spirit. 

The Scriptures say this, 
“For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:21).

“He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in His mouth” (1 Peter 2:22).

“Which of you can prove Me guilty of sin? If I speak the truth, why do you not believe Me?” (John 8:46).

“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight” (Isaiah 5:20-21).

“When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone” (James 1:13).

The Lord Himself says, 
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ (Matthew 7:21).
He also said, 
“I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven.”

As we can see, the Lord Jesus will say to many believers, “I never knew you.” And many will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven because of their unrepented sins. Still, their sins were not too much for the Lord Jesus to forgive, but they never let Him take those sins away from them. So, no sin is too much for the Lord to forgive, given that we take those sins to Him and turn from them. 

‘No Sin Is Too Much For The Lord Jesus To Forgive, except Blaspheming the Holy Spirit.’
But suppose you have blasphemed God’s Holy Spirit without knowing what you were doing, and now that you know, you are incredibly broken and regretful. In that case, I suggest you still go to the Lord Jesus and beg Him for forgiveness and let Him be the One to say to you, ‘I will never forgive you,” which He won’t say something like that, for He never fails to recognise a genuine heart which is sorrowfully sorry and filled with regrets and needs His help to quit evil.” 
Why am I saying this? Because sometimes, people can be possessed and under the influence of evil spirits. And while they are under the influence of evil spirits, they can blaspheme a lot. In those moments, those humans are not even conscious of what they are saying. Sometimes, they would wake up and not even realise what they had said. Often, when people are possessed, and they were kind people, the evil spirits would be the ones speaking for them, blaspheming and lying; and they would even blaspheme the Holy Spirit. But once that person is no longer under the control of the evil spirits, and suppose that evil spirit is being cast out of them, they’re now conscious again, and what, obviously, they did when they were under the influence of evil spirits, they did it without knowing, and are now regretting and crying over it continually until the Lord has forgiven them and given them peace. It was indeed the evil spirits blaspheming from within them, and using their lips to blaspheme.
So, if somebody realises that while they were under the control of evil spirits, they have blasphemed the Holy Spirit, they can still go to God. It is better that you go to God and plead to God, and let the Lord say to You Himself, “I won’t forgive you because you blasphemed the Holy Spirit.” Because God knows who is pure evil, and God knows who is just a victim of evil spirits. 

I’m not speaking here regarding the case of the Pharisees and everyone today who is like them. The Lord Jesus spoke to them face to face, so He knew exactly what kinds of people they were or if they intended to ever repent of their sins. And judging from the Scriptures, the Lord referred to them as the brood of vipers, which means ‘the Children of snakes’ and said that their real father was the devil, who had been the father of lies from the beginning. So, the Lord Jesus knew that those people who falsely accused Him of having an evil spirit were liars, and they knew pretty much what they were doing. After all, He knew everything about them, and saw what was hidden in their hearts and the intentions of their minds, for He even referred to them as hypocrites. 
So the Lord said to them, 
“For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies” (John 8:44).
These kinds of people, given that they never even renounce evil and seek God’s forgiveness, won’t be forgiven by God, just as satan and demons will never be forgiven by the Lord, for satan and demons are indeed the blasphemous ones and all types of evil behind every rebellious human.  
Other than blaspheming God’s Holy Spirit, there are many humans who never blasphemed the Holy Spirit, yet will end up in hell. Why? Because they never let the Lord Jesus blot their other sins away. 

No sin is too much for God to forgive. And if somebody were to remain with their sins, it is not because those sins are too much for God, but because they never turned from those sins and went to God for His grace and mercy, and forgiveness, and love, and cleansing, they have totally refused it, refused the Lord’s forgiveness and Salvation.  
So yes, if you have sinned, don’t stay away from God because you believe that God won’t forgive you. At least, go to Him, because if you truly turn from those ways, and you want nothing to do with those ways, and you are so sorry, and you are so broken because of your own sins, and you are so regretting, the Lord will not tell you that He won’t forgive you. For I know, He will not say that if someone has truly turned from their sins. 
There is a difference between humble sinners and arrogant sinners; the devil’s worshippers, whom some will never change, because they have pledged their allegiance to the devil and given their souls to him. But those people now become so demonic; they become so demonic to the point that they continuously blaspheme against the Lord. And because some will never change, God won’t change them because they have decided not to change. Because they will never repent, God won’t take their sins away, and so, their sins remain. 
Yes, no sin is too much for God to forgive, given that you repent of those sins and turn from them, and listen to God. 
So, please seek to understand the words of God. 

So, let’s be alert and ready to listen to God, who is always talking, who’s always loving us, who’s always thinking of us, and let us respect Him by turning from what He hates: sins, and by not teaming up with demons because of what we want. And no matter how much sin you have committed, whether you knew it or not, if you decide to stop now and go to the Lord, He will show it to you that ‘No sin is too much for Him to forgive.’ That is just depending on how determined you are to let go of those sins; that depends on how hungry you are for God’s salvation, and forgiveness and love and healing. 

So, that’s why I’m saying to you that even if you have blasphemed the Holy Spirit without knowing what you were doing or were under the influence of an evil spirit, God knows the intention of the heart, He knows who blaspheme the Holy Spirit out of pure evil because they hate God and will hate God till death, and He also know who might have blasphemed the Holy Spirit under the control of an evil spirit, and God has seen that if it had never been for that evil spirit, they would not have done so. And God had also seen that if only they had known the truth, they would not have done it.  
Any human can be forgiven, no matter the amount of their sins, if they go to God. It is unrepented sins that take people to hell. You never went to God, and God told you, “No, I won’t forgive You because your sins are too much for me to forgive.” God knows every type of person, humans and their intentions; He knows who is pure evil. 

The Lord Jesus died on the Cross so that through Him we can go to the Father and to Heaven. But anyone who does not seek to know Christ Jesus is rejecting Heaven, and they are rejecting God, and they are rejecting eternal salvation.  
The Lord Jesus does everything. He has the power to take what is bigger than you away from you. 
He knows who are in the darkness when they’re not supposed to be there. And He can see in their hearts who is loving darkness and who hates it. Yes. 

At the end of the day, what hope do we have? We have only ONE HOPE, who is the Lord Jesus.  He is everyone’s HOPE. He is the HOPE of Salvation, for the unrighteous, for the rebellious, for all sinners. 
If He weren’t there, no sinner would have any hope of Salvation; in Christ, all people who repent and listen to God can be saved. So, there is no excuse to remain in the darkness because you think there is no hope. For the Lord Jesus is the hope for all mankind, and He died on the Cross for everyone. But unless you go to Him, that does not mean that all your sins you’re committing after that Cross are forgiven. You must take your sins to the Lord and repent of them, and turn from them in order for the Lord to say to you, “Yes, your sins are forgiven you. I died on the Cross for you.” 

The Holy Bible says,
…7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 But if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:7-9).

And once the Lord Jesus has forgiven you, and once you are a new creation, if you commit another sin tomorrow, that sin you will commit tomorrow is not forgiven like your past sins until you repent of it and turn from it. For if you don’t, even that one sin that you committed again could be enough to take that salvation away from you because the Lord said,  

“13 When I tell righteous people that they will live, but then they sin, expecting their past righteousness to save them, then none of their righteous acts will be remembered. I will destroy them for their sins. 14 And suppose I tell some wicked people that they will surely die, but then they turn from their sins and do what is just and right. 15 For instance, they might give back a debtor’s security, return what they have stolen, and obey my life-giving laws, no longer doing what is evil. If they do this, then they will surely live and not die. 16 None of their past sins will be brought up again, for they have done what is just and right, and they will surely live” (Ezekiel 33:13-16).

So, as we can see, this passage is actually teaching us that you can sin to the point that the Lord can say to you that you’re going to die, but if you turn from those sins and live according to the Lord’s ways, the Lord has mercy, He will show you mercy. 

The Lord who spoke these words is the same yesterday, today and forever, according to Hebrews 13:8. And we, who know the Lord and speak His truth, are witnesses to that. 
So, no sin is too much for God to forgive, given that we turn from those sins, repent and live in obedience to Him.

Yes. So I pray You’ll make wise decisions and go to God, the only Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. 
May the Lord’s peace be with you. 

So, Lord Jesus, thank You so much for this. Thank You.
What a gracious Lord He is. What a glorious, merciful Saviour He is. He is faithful in every way and remains forever truthful to His promise. 
May His mighty name be praised forever!
