So when 00:03:18.289 --> 00:03:21.009 it comes to Halloween, let's not look like the 00:03:21.009 --> 00:03:23.370 world and celebrate it with them. Because we 00:03:23.370 --> 00:03:26.969 are set apart as it says in 1 Peter 2 .9, 1 Peter 00:03:26.969 --> 00:03:32.750 1 .15 -16, 1 John 2 .15 -16, and Leviticus 20 00:03:32.750 --> 00:03:35.830 .26. The reason I'm listing out so many scriptures 00:03:35.830 --> 00:03:37.840 is because I want to show you all of us that 00:03:37.840 --> 00:03:39.939 I'm not speaking from my own opinion, but I'm 00:03:39.939 --> 00:03:42.639 speaking based on what the Bible says. So we 00:03:42.639 --> 00:03:46.400 need to show the world more of Jesus, not more 00:03:46.400 --> 00:03:49.020 of the world, as it says in Matthew 5, 16 and 00:03:49.020 --> 00:03:52.139 Matthew 28, 19. So even with churches, I definitely 00:03:52.139 --> 00:03:54.879 support having an event going on on Halloween 00:03:54.879 --> 00:03:57.080 night so that people don't have to go trick -or 00:03:57.080 --> 00:03:58.780 -treating or just feel like they have to lock 00:03:58.780 --> 00:04:01.759 up in their homes. But I do not support doing 00:04:01.759 --> 00:04:04.400 the same thing that the world does, but inside 00:04:04.400 --> 00:04:06.060 of the church, calling it a trunk-or-treat. 00:04:06.319 --> 00:04:08.159 Because really what is the difference in that? 00:04:08.240 --> 00:04:11.039 How are we glorifying God? Because 00:04:27.579 --> 00:04:30.480 think about it, Halloween gets more hype than 00:04:30.480 --> 00:04:33.839 Easter does, which is so backwards and so wrong. 00:04:34.040 --> 00:04:37.040 We've taken the day that Jesus Christ rose from 00:04:37.040 --> 00:04:40.519 the dead and turned it into a celebration for 00:04:40.519 --> 00:04:43.339 a fictional bunny while halloween is so hyped 00:04:43.339 --> 00:04:46.620 up and boldly celebrated about the dead reason 00:04:46.620 --> 00:04:51.600 number five is simply who are we glorifying sometimes 00:04:51.600 --> 00:04:54.639 we're unknowingly glorifying or worshiping satan 00:04:54.639 --> 00:04:57.899 while other times we're just glorifying and gratifying 00:04:57.899 --> 00:05:00.839 our flesh but the bible does say that whether 00:05:00.839 --> 00:05:05.019 we eat or drink we do it all for the glory of 00:05:05.019 --> 00:05:07.959 god in first corinthians 10:31 but the question 00:05:07.959 --> 00:05:12.120 we all need to ask ourselves is Is participating 00:05:12.120 --> 00:05:14.779 in Halloween or trick-or-treating honoring 00:05:14.779 --> 00:05:18.819 or glorifying or pointing to Jesus?
