But the biblical 00:00:37.579 --> 00:00:40.119 definition, when we talk about faithfulness in 00:00:40.119 --> 00:00:43.899 the Bible, refers to mainly God's faithfulness 00:00:43.899 --> 00:00:47.159 or human faithfulness inspired by God. I thought 00:00:47.159 --> 00:00:49.320 faithfulness only referred to married people. 00:00:49.520 --> 00:00:52.280 Me too, but faithfulness has a much broader meaning 00:00:52.280 --> 00:00:54.780 than that. When we refer to God's faithfulness, 00:00:54.780 --> 00:00:57.920 we refer to His unchanging nature, that He's 00:00:57.920 --> 00:01:00.320 consistent and reliable and He will fulfill His 00:01:00.320 --> 00:01:04.200 promises, like Abraham and Isaac. Even though he was already 00:01:11.340 --> 00:01:15.140 well up in his age. How old was this guy? Let's 00:01:15.140 --> 00:01:18.879 just say he was like really old. but he had to 00:01:18.879 --> 00:01:22.879 wait 25 years before God's promise was fulfilled. 00:01:23.079 --> 00:01:26.620 But either way, Abraham was patient, and he believed 00:01:26.620 --> 00:01:30.579 God was faithful to keep his promise. But what 00:01:30.579 --> 00:01:32.879 about Hagar? Well, let's not blame the man.
