In Eden’s light, before the fall,
Before the ache, before the wall,
A man alone, yet crowned with breath,
Till God spoke life through sacred rest.
A deep sleep fell, the side was torn,
Not head nor foot, but heart was born,
Bone of bone, flesh of flesh,
Love revealed in holiness.

Not formed to rule, not formed to tread,
But side by side where God had led,
One flesh sealed by heaven’s word,
Love entrusted to the Lord.

The watching courts beheld the cost,
Love untethered, order lost,
Mercy wept, and justice cried:

The Word was clothed in Adam’s frame,
Took our dust, our death, our name,
Not angel-born, nor formed apart,
But joined our flesh and took our lot.
Bone of bone of Adam’s race,
Flesh of flesh in time and space,
He stepped inside the fallen line
To heal the root of humankind.

He could not save from worlds away,
Nor heal by power alone displayed,
To judge our cause, to win our plea,
He must become what we would be.

VERSE 4 
Another Adam walked our dust,
Clothed in flesh, in grief and trust,
Not in sleep but nailed in shame,
Yet love still bore the sinner’s name.
A spear was raised, His side was torn,
Water and blood freely poured,
Not to fall with fallen men,
But lift them whole through death again.

Adam fell to keep his bride,
Christ was lifted, crucified,
First love failed beneath the weight,
Second Love fulfilled our fate.

Taken on in human dress,
Not by falling into night,
But bearing sin to raise us right.
Bone of bone, flesh of flesh,
Now redeemed and robed afresh,
What was lost in Eden’s fall
Is restored through Christ in all.

The Bride stands whole, no trace of fear,
What Adam lost, the Lamb has won.
