VERSE 1 
Your Word declares, “Buy truth, and sell it not”—
A treasure worth far more than earthly gold;
Yet through the ages many bartered heaven’s light
For fleeting praise, convenience, and control.
When trials rise and worldly powers press their claim,
Some sell the truth to keep their peace or place—
But those who stand for Christ will never yield His Word,
For righteousness is faithfulness through grace.
 
REFRAIN 
Selling God’s truth and buying the devil’s lies —
This is the mark that seals the soul for death;
The Beast demands our worship and our will,
But God still pleads, “Hold fast to what I’ve said.”
The Seal of God is placed on the holy who love the truth,
While Babylon deceives the world beneath;
To trade God’s Word for favor in the final hour
Is to receive the Beast’s Mark sold as Sunday decree.
 
VERSE 2 
The little horn – Roman Papacy – arose and cast the truth aside—
Tradition shone where God’s command had stood;
And multitudes exchanged the gospel’s holy light
For doctrines born of man, not of God’s throne and blood.
Yet in each age the faithful stood against the tide,
Their witness silenced not by threat or sword;
For those who “buy the lie” receive delusion’s brand,
But lovers of the truth stand firm before the Lord.

And who will trade His truth for ease and earthly gain.
But those who fear the Lord and keep His holy law
Will trust His hand though earth and heavens quake;
For yielding truth to gain the world is death indeed,
But losing life for Christ is life no power can take.

Here stands the patience of the saints—
They keep God’s law by faith made strong;
Sealed with His name and anchored in His grace,
They will not bend to man’s oppressive wrong.
While Babylon collapses with her trafficked lies,
God’s faithful stand until the skies reveal their Lord. CHORUS

But those who stand on Scripture’s living light
Bear heaven’s Seal no earthly power can overthrow.
The saints refuse to trade God’s Word for ease;
Their loyalty declares their faith increased—

Is if God’s truth is sold and the Beast’s lies is bought.
