Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a right spirit within me.
Turn my stony heart into a heart of flesh,
Make it as pure and lowly as my Lord’s.

Cast me not away from Thy presence, O Lord,
And take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.
Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation,
And renew a right spirit within me.

Help me put away my sinful ways and habits
Implant in my heart enmity against sin
Purge me with hyssop and wash me clean
And I will be Thine, Lord, only Thine.

Blot out my sins, iniquities, and transgressions,
