King Hezekiah was in bed,
sick unto death,
Isaiah came to give
a message from the Lord,
Oh, Hezekiah trembled
at the prophet’s words,
“Set your house in order
for you’ll die, not live.”

Then Hezekiah begged
and wept before the Lord,
“Remember how I walked in truth
with perfect heart.”
The Lord heard him
and sent Isaiah back to say,
“You will be healed
and live for fifteen more years.”


(You better) Set your house in order
for today could be your last,
Get ready for the judgment
in the heavenly courts,
Put on Christ’s robe of righteousness
and heed His words,
Set your house in order,
Be prepared to meet the Lord.


Now brother you've been living
mighty high and fine,
But like king Hezekiah
you're on borrowed time,
Confess your sins before the Lord
and He’ll forgive,
Set your house in order
for today could be your last.
