John 3: 14-17 " And as Moses lifted up
the serpent in the wilderness, even

A little boy built a boat,
Made it out of wood
Put it on the river,
A string tied the two together
But the current broke the string,
And the boat drifted away.


The little boy made a promise,
With teardrops in his eyes
That someday he’ll reclaim the boat
And bring the two back together
And it didn’t take too long,
When he saw the boat
at the window of a store.
So, he saved up his money
And he bought the boat
And as he walked away,
you could hear him say,


“Now you’re mine, mine,
Two times you’re mine.
Once because I made you,
Twice because I bought you.
Now you’re mine, mine,
Two times you’re mine
Both times ‘cause I love you so."


God created man and woman
In His own image
Made them dwell in the garden
And gave them His commandments
But they fell in Satan’s snare
And transgressed God’s holy law.


God activated the plan of salvation,
Sacrificed lambs to clothe them both
An emblem of a Redeemer to come
And in God’s own time
He sent Jesus His only Son
He fulfilled God’s law,
lived a sinless life,
Laid down His life,
rose again, and said,


“Now you’re mine, mine,
Forever you’re mine.
Satan laid a claim on you,
I defeated him and redeemed you.
So, you’re mine, mine,
Forever you’re mine.
It’s because I love you so."
