I was raised by a single mother with 00:06:28.579 --> 00:06:31.220 three kids and the way that she took us from 00:06:31.220 --> 00:06:34.100 the place that we were at. and get was a really 00:06:34.100 --> 00:06:36.300 good living, it was because of a small business. 00:06:36.459 --> 00:06:39.439 So I saw the impact that a small business can 00:06:39.439 --> 00:06:43.939 have on a community, on the island. So obviously, 00:06:43.980 --> 00:06:45.879 since I was young, I knew that I wanted to be 00:06:45.879 --> 00:06:47.819 an entrepreneur and a business owner. I'm going to use my And you obviously 00:07:29.649 --> 00:07:32.209 have a lot of mechanical aptitude, electronics 00:07:32.209 --> 00:07:35.250 aptitude, and go into a small business. How did 00:07:35.250 --> 00:07:40.129 you zero in on PuroClean? So basically, I started 00:07:40.129 --> 00:07:44.110 my entrepreneur career doing other stuff related 00:07:44.110 --> 00:07:47.509 to the aviation. So I started getting really 00:07:47.509 --> 00:07:50.439 good at running business, even though you have 00:07:50.439 --> 00:07:53.459 to learn like so many different skills. Then at some point I was missing that 00:08:12.639 --> 00:08:16.819 connection basically from the business standpoint 00:08:16.819 --> 00:08:20.050 and connecting with the people. So I started 00:08:20.050 --> 00:08:23.399 researching and doing... Checking out to see 00:08:23.399 --> 00:08:25.740 if I can do some construction. I enjoyed construction 00:08:25.740 --> 00:08:27.540 I saw the impact that you can have in a community 00:08:27.540 --> 00:08:30.560 by just doing construction and development and 00:08:30.560 --> 00:08:34.039 But then I ran into what restoration is that 00:08:34.039 --> 00:08:35.980 I've never been from Puerto Rico though We get 00:08:35.980 --> 00:08:38.620 hit by hurricanes at least three times a year. 00:08:38.620 --> 00:08:42.240 Yeah We didn't have that concept of what restoration 00:08:42.240 --> 00:08:44.960 was up there We just basically got cleaning companies 00:08:44.960 --> 00:08:47.039 that will come in and other people will come 00:08:47.039 --> 00:08:49.940 into the island to restore afterwards But there 00:08:49.940 --> 00:08:52.399 was nobody there station and set up up and ready 00:08:52.399 --> 00:08:56.159 to go at all times. I can run a really good, smooth company, 00:09:05.720 --> 00:09:08.100 but I can help the community. I can be involved 00:09:08.100 --> 00:09:10.259 out there. I can be proactive.
