We focused on verse 00:00:35.939 --> 00:00:40.020 31, and it talks about, well, I'll read it. It 00:00:40.020 --> 00:00:57.439 says, When it says that they shall run and not 00:00:57.439 --> 00:01:00.679 be weary, do you know there's a grace and an 00:01:00.679 --> 00:01:03.780 anointing? to continue on when we should fail 00:01:03.780 --> 00:01:10.659 and fall. There are always times in our life 00:01:10.659 --> 00:01:20.379 that we will come to a point where our own sufficiency 00:01:20.379 --> 00:01:26.040 is not enough. Can I take it one step further 00:01:26.040 --> 00:01:31.969 that those who are called Those who are living 00:01:31.969 --> 00:01:39.909 for God have no strength within themselves to 00:01:39.909 --> 00:01:45.530 live the Christian life. Now think about that 00:01:45.530 --> 00:01:52.870 for a second. We are saved. Born again. We are 00:01:52.870 --> 00:01:55.430 made a new creation in Christ Jesus. The old 00:01:55.430 --> 00:01:59.250 things have passed away. Behold, all things have 00:01:59.250 --> 00:02:04.540 become new. We have been given the gift of the 00:02:04.540 --> 00:02:09.580 Holy Spirit. Baptized in the Holy Spirit, speaking 00:02:09.580 --> 00:02:15.000 in other tongues. And that there is a power that 00:02:15.000 --> 00:02:21.099 resides in us because of the Holy Spirit. And 00:02:21.099 --> 00:02:23.620 now we see that in Acts, that when Philip went 00:02:23.620 --> 00:02:28.379 down to Samaria, that they saw the miracles that 00:02:28.379 --> 00:02:32.889 were done. And they all received the gospel. 00:02:34.229 --> 00:02:37.050 But then later on, Peter and John came down and 00:02:37.050 --> 00:02:40.530 they were all baptized in the Holy Spirit later. 00:02:41.409 --> 00:02:44.509 And so we go through this journey in life where 00:02:44.509 --> 00:02:48.210 we get saved and we get baptized with the Holy 00:02:48.210 --> 00:02:51.889 Spirit. And not only are we a new creation, we're 00:02:51.889 --> 00:02:59.569 a creation that has this energy, a power. Heaven 00:02:59.569 --> 00:03:05.969 is inside of me. But as the journey continues, 00:03:06.129 --> 00:03:11.289 the devil is always going to put roadblocks and 00:03:11.289 --> 00:03:13.770 obstacles in the way and we'll go good and then 00:03:13.770 --> 00:03:17.449 something will happen. And there comes a point 00:03:17.449 --> 00:03:22.370 in every believer's life where my wisdom and 00:03:22.370 --> 00:03:29.360 my strength is not enough. See, Jesus says in 00:03:29.360 --> 00:03:34.060 John chapter 15, he says, I am the true vine 00:03:34.060 --> 00:03:37.879 and you are the branches. And he goes on to say 00:03:37.879 --> 00:03:43.680 that every branch that abides in me, I will abide 00:03:43.680 --> 00:03:47.919 in him. He goes later on to say that if you abide 00:03:47.919 --> 00:03:56.560 in me, you will bear much fruit. And boy, I tell you what, church, 00:05:01.899 --> 00:05:05.180 if I've ever come to this realisation of what 00:05:05.180 --> 00:05:08.620 I've just said, it's been probably the last month 00:05:08.620 --> 00:05:13.259 more than ever that my cry at home and my cry 00:05:13.259 --> 00:05:17.279 at the prayer meetings is, Lord, I need you so 00:05:17.279 --> 00:05:22.720 much in my life. I believe it's a must for every believer. 00:05:59.209 --> 00:06:02.149 Not to those who listen to sermons every day 00:06:02.149 --> 00:06:05.050 of the week. Not to those that are seeking out 00:06:05.050 --> 00:06:09.730 prophecies every day. Not to those that... Those 00:06:09.730 --> 00:06:32.839 who wait on the Lord. Church, we need to be in 00:06:32.839 --> 00:06:44.199 close fellowship with God. Have to. There's no 00:06:44.199 --> 00:06:53.199 other way. When we had that move of God a few 00:06:53.199 --> 00:07:00.370 months ago, as amazing as that was, The following 00:07:00.370 --> 00:07:06.149 two weeks after that, I felt lost. Because one, 00:07:06.230 --> 00:07:10.209 I knew that it was nothing that we had ever done 00:07:10.209 --> 00:07:15.170 here. It wasn't man -made, it wasn't manufactured, 00:07:15.410 --> 00:07:20.810 it was a sovereign move of God. And because I 00:07:20.810 --> 00:07:26.769 knew it was sovereign, I was like, Lord, what 00:07:26.769 --> 00:07:31.839 do I do now? Nothing beats being in your presence 00:07:31.839 --> 00:07:41.560 like that. And so I felt lost. I remember 00:07:59.220 --> 00:08:03.399 one prayer meeting two weeks later, after when 00:08:03.399 --> 00:08:08.199 the Holy Spirit moved, the cry in my heart was 00:08:08.199 --> 00:08:13.899 like, Lord, what do we do? I need your instruction. 00:08:15.000 --> 00:08:23.199 I need to hear your voice. And he said, I want 00:08:23.199 --> 00:08:30.790 to search every room of your heart. Now those 00:08:30.790 --> 00:08:32.549 that have been at the prayer meetings, they've 00:08:32.549 --> 00:08:39.409 heard this before. I want to search every room 00:08:39.409 --> 00:08:48.990 of your heart. Open every door and allow me to 00:08:48.990 --> 00:08:56.230 go in. Every room that has a shut door because 00:08:56.230 --> 00:09:03.330 of shame. That Lord, don't go there. How about 00:09:03.330 --> 00:09:08.929 we just leave that? And when I received this 00:09:22.149 --> 00:09:24.490 revelation, this instruction from the Lord, it 00:09:24.490 --> 00:09:29.169 brought life into my soul. Because I knew. that 00:09:29.169 --> 00:09:32.409 when the Holy Spirit speaks so clearly, that 00:09:32.409 --> 00:09:38.649 good things will come if we obey. Now this morning, 00:09:38.669 --> 00:09:43.809 if you're here or watching online, and you've 00:09:43.809 --> 00:09:46.049 been sitting on the fence for quite some time, 00:09:46.190 --> 00:09:51.669 now is a great time to go all in for the Lord. 00:09:52.809 --> 00:09:56.269 He's up to something. Now Galatians 00:12:45.320 --> 00:12:53.659 chapter 5. That's a pretty long intro. Galatians 00:12:53.659 --> 00:12:57.480 5 verse 16 says, I say then walk in the spirit 00:12:57.480 --> 00:13:00.740 and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 00:13:01.240 --> 00:13:04.879 For the flesh lusts against the spirit and the 00:13:04.879 --> 00:13:08.500 spirit against the flesh. And these are contrary 00:13:08.500 --> 00:13:13.039 to one another, so that you do not do the things 00:13:13.039 --> 00:13:20.779 that you wish. Where you could be here and, Lord, 00:15:47.600 --> 00:15:50.519 my mouth gets me into trouble every second of 00:15:50.519 --> 00:15:53.440 the day, but God, I know it's wrong and I'm coming 00:15:53.440 --> 00:15:56.559 to you, that there would be a day where my tongue 00:15:56.559 --> 00:16:02.240 is bridled. Or, Lord, what I watch is just horrific, 00:16:02.379 --> 00:16:05.899 but God, I'm coming to you and I'm not making 00:16:05.899 --> 00:16:09.590 excuses for my sin. There is the evidence, or 00:17:00.830 --> 00:17:05.430 as he says, fruit of the flesh, the lust of the 00:17:05.430 --> 00:17:08.950 flesh. But then he goes later on to say in verse 00:17:08.950 --> 00:17:13.289 22 that there is a total opposite evidence in 00:17:13.289 --> 00:17:17.609 someone's life for those who are connected and 00:17:17.609 --> 00:17:24.150 walking in the Spirit. And so... When we are 00:17:24.150 --> 00:17:27.190 walking in the spirit, it's not because we said, 00:17:27.250 --> 00:17:30.009 sorry, Lord, and then said, God, I'm never going 00:17:30.009 --> 00:17:34.210 to sin again. That doesn't work. How many of 00:17:34.210 --> 00:17:38.609 us have said that and failed the next day? There's 00:17:38.609 --> 00:17:40.589 three honest people in the house of God this 00:17:40.589 --> 00:17:43.990 morning. But I've been there once. I've been 00:17:43.990 --> 00:17:47.670 there a thousand times. And it is not by saying 00:17:47.670 --> 00:17:50.750 sorry and in our mind thinking I'm never going 00:17:50.750 --> 00:17:54.309 to do it again. Because the scripture says the 00:17:54.309 --> 00:17:58.029 total opposite. Apostle Paul is giving us a beautiful 00:17:58.029 --> 00:18:00.769 key to walk in victory. He's saying it's not 00:18:00.769 --> 00:18:06.670 in our strength, but it's in the Spirit. Church, 00:18:06.849 --> 00:18:09.490 for those of us here this morning, for those 00:18:09.490 --> 00:18:14.069 of us online, that get before God and God, I 00:18:14.069 --> 00:18:22.390 wait on you. That is the key for someone to walk 00:18:22.390 --> 00:18:26.269 in the Spirit. For that person that waits on 00:18:26.269 --> 00:18:30.569 God and has the Word of God out and is searching 00:18:30.569 --> 00:18:33.589 the Scriptures because it is bread, it is life 00:18:33.589 --> 00:18:38.230 to my very being. Oh, God is doing something 00:18:38.230 --> 00:18:43.450 good in that person. I can guarantee you. That 00:18:43.450 --> 00:18:48.019 that person that seeks God. that puts God before 00:18:48.019 --> 00:18:52.980 the busyness of life, that understands that in 00:18:52.980 --> 00:18:56.500 him alone is all the goodness and the fullness 00:18:56.500 --> 00:19:02.420 of joy, that is a person that is walking in the 00:19:02.420 --> 00:19:11.420 Spirit. I can recount the amount of times where... 00:19:12.839 --> 00:19:15.480 And I'll give you one example where I was, in 00:19:15.480 --> 00:19:20.859 my truck driving days, I used to listen to YouTube 00:19:20.859 --> 00:19:22.960 like every, like truck driving's boring, gee 00:19:22.960 --> 00:19:25.200 whiz. So I listened to YouTube, right? You'd 00:19:25.200 --> 00:19:30.890 play a... I'd play sermons off of my phone, come 00:19:30.890 --> 00:19:34.049 through the truck speakers, and there would be 00:19:34.049 --> 00:19:37.369 moments where listening to great men of God preach 00:19:37.369 --> 00:19:40.150 the word. And there's such an anointing in what 00:19:40.150 --> 00:19:42.509 they're saying. And you feel the presence of 00:19:42.509 --> 00:19:44.450 God in the cab of the truck, and it's amazing. 00:19:48.630 --> 00:19:54.759 But I never got before God myself. And the mistake 00:19:54.759 --> 00:19:57.619 I made was I always relied on these men of God 00:19:57.619 --> 00:20:00.539 and their sermons to sort of pick me up. And 00:20:00.539 --> 00:20:03.440 that anointing that I would feel, that sort of, 00:20:03.460 --> 00:20:06.880 it was like leaving off two minute noodles, so 00:20:06.880 --> 00:20:09.519 to speak. When if I just got before the presence 00:20:09.519 --> 00:20:12.000 of God, he had a three course meal waiting for 00:20:12.000 --> 00:20:24.279 me. And so church, our success. The secret to 00:20:24.279 --> 00:20:28.920 spiritual success is connecting with God ourselves. 00:20:30.140 --> 00:20:33.900 See, everything that we do in laziness never 00:20:33.900 --> 00:20:38.039 really produces anything. Tell me one thing that 00:20:38.039 --> 00:20:41.059 laziness has produced that's good in our lives. 00:20:41.359 --> 00:20:46.000 Nothing. Jesus says, go and make disciples of 00:20:46.000 --> 00:20:50.160 all nations. A disciplined one. One that hears 00:20:50.160 --> 00:20:54.390 the teachings of the Lord. and does them. See, 00:20:54.490 --> 00:20:57.890 James says, but be doers of the word and not 00:20:57.890 --> 00:21:02.170 hearers only. See, I sat in the presence of God 00:21:02.170 --> 00:21:05.930 in that truck, but I was just a hearer. Never 00:21:05.930 --> 00:21:10.009 put anything into practice. And so I never really 00:21:10.009 --> 00:21:13.490 had any results in my life. But church, the moment 00:21:13.490 --> 00:21:16.650 I started getting before the Lord and God, you 00:21:16.650 --> 00:21:23.710 are so precious to my life. God, you are my all 00:21:23.710 --> 00:21:29.529 in all. Without you, I have nothing. My life 00:21:29.529 --> 00:21:34.750 changed. When I could consistently get before 00:21:34.750 --> 00:21:37.630 the Lord, I started bearing the fruit of the 00:21:37.630 --> 00:21:46.410 Spirit and not the evidence of the flesh. Matthew 00:21:46.410 --> 00:21:53.400 chapter 6, verse 5 and 6 says this. And I just 00:21:53.400 --> 00:21:56.740 want to really encourage you. I feel like what's 00:21:56.740 --> 00:21:58.779 going to separate the church of Jesus Christ 00:21:58.779 --> 00:22:04.140 from other churches is a praying church. A church 00:22:04.140 --> 00:22:10.779 that actually knows the voice of the Lord. And 00:22:10.779 --> 00:22:13.440 we have prayer meetings every Tuesday from 6pm, 00:22:13.640 --> 00:22:17.339 every Thursday morning 9am, and every Thursday 00:22:17.339 --> 00:22:22.339 night from 6 .30pm. And that's great. Please, 00:22:22.359 --> 00:22:24.259 can I encourage you to come because they're powerful. 00:22:24.420 --> 00:22:29.880 We are in the presence of God every meeting. 00:22:31.839 --> 00:22:36.259 We have broken through and it's just amazing. 00:22:38.359 --> 00:22:41.359 But to add on top of that, if we are only praying 00:22:41.359 --> 00:22:46.119 on a Tuesday or a Thursday, that's sort of not 00:22:46.119 --> 00:22:49.299 what Jesus is after. As good as it is, and corporate 00:22:49.299 --> 00:22:54.490 prayer is amazing, But Jesus says, but you, when 00:22:54.490 --> 00:22:58.990 you pray, go into your room and when you have 00:22:58.990 --> 00:23:02.210 shut your door, pray to your Father who is in 00:23:02.210 --> 00:23:05.190 the secret place. And your Father who sees in 00:23:05.190 --> 00:23:09.009 secret will reward you openly. Church, what Jesus 00:23:09.009 --> 00:23:13.150 said in Matthew chapter 6 goes hand in hand with 00:23:13.150 --> 00:23:16.230 Isaiah, that those who wait upon the Lord, those 00:23:16.230 --> 00:23:20.309 who come into the secret place where God is, 00:23:24.779 --> 00:23:39.099 Where God is. I sort of wonder and think, God, 00:23:39.119 --> 00:23:41.099 you've always been waiting for me in the secret 00:23:41.099 --> 00:23:46.579 place. How many beautiful moments have I missed 00:23:46.579 --> 00:23:51.519 in my life because I was too busy or too lazy 00:23:51.519 --> 00:23:58.940 or too distracted? Me, Pastor Gus. How many beautiful 00:23:58.940 --> 00:24:06.680 moments have I missed?
