But basically what happens 00:09:53.409 --> 00:09:56.750 is Jesus is with his disciples, and he's teaching, 00:09:56.830 --> 00:09:59.330 and there's a huge crowd. Thousands of people 00:09:59.330 --> 00:10:01.690 are there, okay? And they've been listening to 00:10:01.690 --> 00:10:05.169 Jesus for such a long time. that they get a little 00:10:05.169 --> 00:10:07.149 bit hungry. Anybody hear the story of the five 00:10:07.149 --> 00:10:09.649 loaves and two fish? Okay. If you haven't, that's 00:10:09.649 --> 00:10:12.490 okay. I'm going to tell it real quick. But basically 00:10:12.490 --> 00:10:15.450 Jesus is teaching and all these people are hungry 00:10:15.450 --> 00:10:17.669 and there's nowhere to feed them. There's no 00:10:17.669 --> 00:10:19.809 food. There's nothing. And Jesus turns to his 00:10:19.809 --> 00:10:22.570 disciples and said, where can we buy some bread? 00:10:22.649 --> 00:10:24.429 And they're like, we do not have enough money 00:10:24.429 --> 00:10:28.929 to buy these people bread. But then one of the 00:10:28.929 --> 00:10:31.230 disciples said, hey, there's a kid here with 00:10:31.230 --> 00:10:35.129 five loaves and two fish. And Jesus takes that 00:10:35.129 --> 00:10:38.809 little Lunchable and feeds thousands and thousands 00:10:38.809 --> 00:10:42.049 of people with it. It's amazing, right? That's 00:10:42.049 --> 00:10:44.690 amazing. I'm actually more impressed that thousands 00:10:44.690 --> 00:10:46.769 of hangry people were together and did not kill 00:10:46.769 --> 00:10:49.629 each other. I think that's the miracle, okay? 00:10:50.169 --> 00:10:54.690 But Jesus does this amazing miracle of provision, 00:10:54.909 --> 00:10:57.490 and everybody's really excited about it. It says 00:10:57.490 --> 00:10:59.610 that the people were like, this could be the 00:10:59.610 --> 00:11:02.779 prophet. And in fact, Jesus knew that he was 00:11:02.779 --> 00:11:05.139 getting kind of popular. The scriptures actually 00:11:05.139 --> 00:11:08.559 say that he withdrew because he knew they wanted 00:11:08.559 --> 00:11:11.779 to force him to become king. It says that in 00:11:11.779 --> 00:11:15.340 John 6. So he withdrew and his disciples, you 00:11:15.340 --> 00:11:17.679 know, they gathered the 12 loaves of bread that 00:11:17.679 --> 00:11:20.059 was left, the 12 baskets of bread that was left 00:11:20.059 --> 00:11:25.549 over. And they're waiting for Jesus. Because 00:11:25.549 --> 00:11:28.309 there's a plan to go to Capernaum, and to go 00:11:28.309 --> 00:11:30.049 to Capernaum, which is kind of like their home 00:11:30.049 --> 00:11:33.549 base, they have to cross a lake, a pretty big 00:11:33.549 --> 00:11:38.570 lake, okay? So I want to just quickly read to 00:11:38.570 --> 00:11:42.990 you, we can read it together actually, the scripture 00:11:42.990 --> 00:11:48.409 of what we're going to talk about today. John 00:11:48.409 --> 00:11:52.269 6, starting with verse 16. When evening came, 00:11:52.490 --> 00:11:56.470 this is after the big awesome miracle, His disciples 00:11:56.470 --> 00:12:00.470 went down to the sea, got into a boat, and started 00:12:00.470 --> 00:12:04.409 across the sea to Capernaum. Darkness had already 00:12:04.409 --> 00:12:10.610 set in, but Jesus had not yet come to them. A 00:12:10.610 --> 00:12:14.590 high wind arose and the sea began to churn. After 00:12:14.590 --> 00:12:17.610 they had rowed about three or four miles, they 00:12:17.610 --> 00:12:21.789 saw Jesus walking on the sea. He was coming near 00:12:21.789 --> 00:12:27.360 the boat and they were afraid. But he said to 00:12:27.360 --> 00:12:34.440 them, it is I. Don't be afraid. And my husband 00:15:36.139 --> 00:15:38.419 is a man of faith. And he was like, you know 00:15:38.419 --> 00:15:40.519 what, babe, we're just going to buy the tickets 00:15:40.519 --> 00:15:43.299 to go and we're going to.
