Things 00:00:20.329 --> 00:00:23.429 like how do we attain faith for our needs and 00:00:23.429 --> 00:00:26.230 who is our source of faith and what must we do 00:00:26.230 --> 00:00:28.670 to achieve greater faith from the Holy Spirit 00:00:28.670 --> 00:00:31.629 and can the Holy Spirit help our faith and And 00:00:31.629 --> 00:00:34.990 how do faith and grace work together? Now everything that we need to have 00:01:32.640 --> 00:01:36.000 faith is provided to us by the Holy Spirit. We'll 00:01:36.000 --> 00:01:38.319 go through that in this podcast and kind of discuss 00:01:38.319 --> 00:01:40.640 what I'm really talking about. Everything we 00:01:40.640 --> 00:01:44.569 need to have faith is provided to us by the Holy 00:01:44.569 --> 00:01:46.129 Spirit. So let's look at a couple scriptures 00:01:46.129 --> 00:01:48.390 and see what I mean. In 1 Corinthians chapter 00:01:48.390 --> 00:01:50.989 12 and verse 3 in the New International Version, 00:01:51.189 --> 00:01:54.170 it says this, no one can say Jesus is Lord except 00:01:54.170 --> 00:01:56.150 by the Holy Spirit. You see, if it wasn't for 00:01:56.150 --> 00:01:57.709 the Holy Spirit, we would never understand what 00:01:57.709 --> 00:01:59.349 faith is. If it wasn't for the Holy Spirit, we 00:01:59.349 --> 00:02:01.609 could never receive Jesus Christ as our Lord 00:02:01.609 --> 00:02:03.409 and Savior. If it wasn't for the Holy Spirit 00:02:03.409 --> 00:02:06.670 that Jesus left here for us to help us, to comfort 00:02:06.670 --> 00:02:09.409 us, to bring us to a relationship with Him, if 00:02:09.409 --> 00:02:11.990 it wasn't for Him, we would not have an ounce 00:02:11.990 --> 00:02:14.800 of faith. Even in Galatians chapter 3, verse 00:02:14.800 --> 00:02:17.099 5, in the New International Version, listen to 00:02:17.099 --> 00:02:20.680 these words. So again I ask, does God give you 00:02:20.680 --> 00:02:24.020 His Spirit and work miracles among you by the 00:02:24.020 --> 00:02:27.800 works of the law or by your believing what you 00:02:27.800 --> 00:02:29.819 heard? What that means is, did it come because 00:02:29.819 --> 00:02:31.479 something was written in a book and a law that 00:02:31.479 --> 00:02:33.840 we had to follow up with, according to the Old 00:02:33.840 --> 00:02:36.419 Testament, or is it by faith? Was it by faith 00:02:36.419 --> 00:02:38.500 that we heard? Was it by faith that we received? 00:02:38.539 --> 00:02:40.780 Was it by faith that we received Jesus Christ 00:02:40.780 --> 00:02:43.250 as Lord and Savior? absolutely yes to all those 00:02:43.250 --> 00:02:46.509 statements. This is faith to receive Jesus as 00:02:46.509 --> 00:02:48.310 Lord is what they're talking about here and it's 00:02:48.310 --> 00:02:51.210 so important that we get that in our heart to 00:02:51.210 --> 00:02:53.889 understand where faith comes from and the source 00:02:53.889 --> 00:02:57.229 of all faith comes from the Holy Spirit who works 00:02:57.229 --> 00:02:59.750 upon us before we even come to know Jesus as 00:02:59.750 --> 00:03:02.530 our Lord and Savior. You see God's grace opens 00:03:02.530 --> 00:03:05.949 up our heart to have faith to become Christians. 00:03:06.110 --> 00:03:08.449 You know, this happens because of the Holy Spirit 00:03:08.449 --> 00:03:11.289 and through the Holy Spirit. Let me repeat that. 00:03:11.310 --> 00:03:13.330 I think that's important to take a second and 00:03:13.330 --> 00:03:16.650 think about that. Once we receive Jesus Christ 00:03:24.789 --> 00:03:26.569 as our Lord and Savior, we know that the Holy 00:03:26.569 --> 00:03:29.490 Spirit comes to live and to dwell inside of us 00:03:29.490 --> 00:03:31.889 and to be with us each and every day. You see, 00:03:31.909 --> 00:03:36.099 Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to us as the opportunity 00:03:36.099 --> 00:03:39.780 to receive Jesus as Lord. See, for non -believers, 00:03:39.900 --> 00:03:42.159 He sent the Holy Spirit to draw them in. For 00:03:42.159 --> 00:03:44.500 believers, He sent the Holy Spirit to give instant 00:03:44.500 --> 00:03:47.300 comfort and guidance and direction and to be 00:03:47.300 --> 00:03:50.379 our guard, our protector. And so we owe everything 00:03:50.379 --> 00:03:53.490 to Jesus for His... for what he did on the cross 00:03:53.490 --> 00:03:56.110 and how he suffered for us but then we owe so 00:03:56.110 --> 00:03:59.370 much to the Holy Spirit who drew us into a relationship 00:03:59.370 --> 00:04:02.389 with Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit gives the 00:04:02.389 --> 00:04:04.750 gift of great faith. I'm gonna read a scripture 00:04:04.750 --> 00:04:07.270 here because I've did a couple of podcasts dealing 00:04:07.270 --> 00:04:10.030 with the power gifts of the Spirit and they're 00:04:10.030 --> 00:04:12.789 found in 1st Corinthians chapter 12 verses 7, 00:04:12.930 --> 00:04:16.639 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 all of those verses talk to 00:04:16.639 --> 00:04:19.480 us about understanding what the gifts of the 00:04:19.480 --> 00:04:22.379 Spirit are. And this particular chapter, chapter 00:04:22.379 --> 00:04:25.839 12 in 1 Corinthians is one that we need to study 00:04:25.839 --> 00:04:27.740 and understand, to understand where the gifts 00:04:27.740 --> 00:04:30.139 come from and how the Holy Spirit operates in 00:04:30.139 --> 00:04:32.759 giving these gifts to whom He chooses to give 00:04:32.759 --> 00:04:35.319 the gifts to. So 1 Corinthians chapter 12 and 00:04:35.319 --> 00:04:37.899 verse 7, the New International Version says this, 00:04:38.019 --> 00:04:41.079 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit 00:04:41.079 --> 00:04:44.040 is given for the common good of all. Look at 00:04:44.040 --> 00:04:46.490 that. For the common good of all, all these gifts 00:04:46.490 --> 00:04:49.110 came forward. And this goes on to talk about 00:04:49.110 --> 00:04:50.910 the power gifts of the Holy Spirit. But the nine power gifts of the 00:05:29.740 --> 00:05:32.259 Spirit are covered quite well in previous podcasts, 00:05:32.480 --> 00:05:34.759 that those gifts are the gifts of wisdom and 00:05:34.759 --> 00:05:37.800 knowledge and great faith and healing and miracles 00:05:37.800 --> 00:05:41.180 and prophecy and discerning of spirits and tongues 00:05:41.180 --> 00:05:43.310 and interpretation. tongues and then in verse 00:05:43.310 --> 00:05:46.769 9 it talks about the gifts being faith that one 00:05:46.769 --> 00:05:49.129 of the one of the great gifts of the Holy Spirit 00:05:49.129 --> 00:05:51.649 is great faith there's got to be a lot of you 00:05:51.649 --> 00:05:54.189 out there who want great faith I do I want greater 00:05:54.189 --> 00:05:55.949 faith than I have right now I believe the Lord 00:05:55.949 --> 00:05:58.370 has helped me a lot in my life in so many different 00:05:58.370 --> 00:06:00.750 areas of my life and it's always because of the 00:06:00.750 --> 00:06:03.149 faith that he's placed in my heart and my trust 00:06:03.149 --> 00:06:05.310 and confidence in him has nothing to do with 00:06:05.310 --> 00:06:08.189 me everything to do with my relationship with 00:06:08.189 --> 00:06:10.329 the Holy Spirit and my relationship with the 00:06:10.329 --> 00:06:12.689 Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and God our Father. 00:06:12.790 --> 00:06:15.089 Now, to increase our faith, because I think that's 00:06:15.089 --> 00:06:16.629 one of the reasons you're listening in, because 00:06:16.629 --> 00:06:18.430 when you were looking for something to find about 00:06:18.430 --> 00:06:20.990 the Holy Spirit, this one says the Holy Spirit 00:06:20.990 --> 00:06:23.550 brings faith. So let's talk about how to increase 00:06:23.550 --> 00:06:26.889 our faith. We must believe in the unlimited power 00:06:26.889 --> 00:06:29.990 of the Holy Spirit. You see, God's power was 00:06:29.990 --> 00:06:33.029 placed in the Holy Spirit because it's God the 00:06:33.029 --> 00:06:35.089 Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. 00:06:35.250 --> 00:06:38.009 They all represent God, one God, but the Trinity, 00:06:38.189 --> 00:06:41.089 three active ingredients that put together the 00:06:41.089 --> 00:06:44.290 Trinity that we love so very much. The Holy Spirit 00:06:44.290 --> 00:06:48.050 is God's Spirit living in the followers of Jesus 00:06:48.050 --> 00:06:49.990 Christ. Now, you know, I could just say that 00:06:49.990 --> 00:06:52.029 and move on, but I don't think I should. And instantly 00:07:05.060 --> 00:07:07.199 you received the power of the Holy Spirit in 00:07:07.199 --> 00:07:09.519 your life. He came to dwell inside of you. So 00:07:09.519 --> 00:07:13.000 the Holy Spirit is God's Spirit living in followers 00:07:13.000 --> 00:07:15.439 of Jesus Christ. Now if you're not a follower 00:07:15.439 --> 00:07:17.620 of the Lord Jesus Christ, you can't have the 00:07:17.620 --> 00:07:19.420 Holy Spirit operating in your life. And if you 00:07:19.420 --> 00:07:21.800 know people who are not followers of Jesus Christ, 00:07:22.040 --> 00:07:23.839 that's why they get confused. That's why they 00:07:23.839 --> 00:07:26.120 get frustrated. That's why they go through so 00:07:26.120 --> 00:07:28.199 many more challenges than we do in our life. 00:07:28.199 --> 00:07:30.240 Well, we go through challenges, but they're going 00:07:30.240 --> 00:07:32.519 through just turmoil. when they avoid the Holy 00:07:32.519 --> 00:07:35.740 Spirit and avoid his leading and his yearning 00:07:35.740 --> 00:07:38.199 to draw them into relationship with Jesus. So 00:07:38.199 --> 00:07:40.779 if you don't know Jesus, just take a moment and 00:07:40.779 --> 00:07:43.120 say, Heavenly Father, I'm sorry for the sins 00:07:43.120 --> 00:07:45.399 I've committed. I ask you to forgive me of the 00:07:45.399 --> 00:07:47.339 sins I've committed. I believe that Jesus is 00:07:47.339 --> 00:07:49.540 the Son of God and he gave his life for me. And 00:07:49.540 --> 00:07:52.019 I want to thank you for what you did. So on this 00:07:52.019 --> 00:07:54.620 day, I receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, 00:07:54.620 --> 00:07:57.220 and I promise to serve him all the days of my 00:07:57.220 --> 00:08:00.079 life. In Jesus' name I pray. That Holy Spirit that I'm talking about 00:08:30.189 --> 00:08:32.519 dwells in every one of you who know Jesus Christ. 00:08:32.759 --> 00:08:35.779 And so inside of you is the power of no worry, 00:08:35.960 --> 00:08:39.700 no anxiety, no fear, no lack of hope. So we've 00:08:39.700 --> 00:08:41.600 got to draw on that strength. We've got to believe 00:08:41.600 --> 00:08:44.679 in that strength. We have access to those qualities 00:08:44.679 --> 00:08:48.039 when we surrender our lives to him. It's so important 00:08:48.039 --> 00:08:50.500 as we continue our speaking on the Holy Spirit, 00:08:50.620 --> 00:08:52.279 and especially when we talk about faith, that 00:08:52.279 --> 00:08:56.100 we realize this incredible power, unlimited power, 00:08:56.320 --> 00:08:59.100 this omniscient power, all power, all authority 00:08:59.100 --> 00:09:01.659 lives and wells inside of each and every one 00:09:01.659 --> 00:09:04.419 of us and that power doesn't worry that power 00:09:04.419 --> 00:09:07.539 is not anxious that power is not afraid and it's 00:09:07.539 --> 00:09:10.200 always filled with hope and so if we realize 00:09:10.200 --> 00:09:12.679 that that's in us and let's draw upon that and 00:09:12.679 --> 00:09:15.059 ask the Holy Spirit to help us to receive those 00:09:15.059 --> 00:09:17.860 promises that's why the Apostle Paul wrote in 00:09:17.860 --> 00:09:19.919 Philippians he wrote and he says to be we're 00:09:19.919 --> 00:09:22.139 to be anxious for nothing but everything through 00:09:22.139 --> 00:09:25.120 prayers petitions with thanksgiving let our request 00:09:25.120 --> 00:09:27.259 be made known to God and the peace of God that 00:09:27.259 --> 00:09:29.059 passes all understanding will guard our hearts 00:09:29.059 --> 00:09:31.039 and guard our minds in Christ Jesus. So for some 00:09:31.039 --> 00:09:33.379 of you who are struggling with worry or anxiety 00:09:33.379 --> 00:09:36.919 or fear, I just claim the power of the Holy Spirit 00:09:36.919 --> 00:09:40.179 would operate in you and help you to Take away 00:09:40.179 --> 00:09:43.360 those fears, take away that anxiety and replace 00:09:43.360 --> 00:09:46.100 it with faith and trust in Almighty God and the 00:09:46.100 --> 00:09:48.240 power of the Holy Spirit that's living and dwelling 00:09:48.240 --> 00:09:50.519 in each and every one of you. I'm gonna repeat 00:09:50.519 --> 00:09:53.879 something I said earlier. We have access to those 00:09:53.879 --> 00:09:57.500 qualities when we surrender our lives to Jesus 00:09:57.500 --> 00:09:59.700 and the Holy Spirit comes to dwell inside of 00:09:59.700 --> 00:10:02.480 us. We have direct access. There's no barriers, 00:10:02.639 --> 00:10:05.059 no walls to take down, no works that we have 00:10:05.059 --> 00:10:08.039 to do. We simply have access to the amazing, 00:10:08.039 --> 00:10:11.070 mighty power of the Holy Spirit. I just, I get 00:10:11.070 --> 00:10:13.590 excited just thinking about that. I just know 00:10:13.590 --> 00:10:15.809 that there's people out there who want to feel 00:10:15.809 --> 00:10:18.090 that same way and some of you do. Some of you 00:10:18.090 --> 00:10:20.230 have great faith. Some of you have a complete 00:10:20.230 --> 00:10:22.509 confident trust in the Holy Spirit and you operate 00:10:22.509 --> 00:10:24.970 in power and authority over the things that the 00:10:24.970 --> 00:10:26.649 devil tries to come up against you with. But 00:10:26.649 --> 00:10:28.389 then there's those out there that struggle with 00:10:28.389 --> 00:10:30.429 faith. You know, I pastored for 20 years and 00:10:30.429 --> 00:10:32.570 during that 20 years of pastoring, one of the 00:10:32.570 --> 00:10:34.470 things that I constantly heard people say that 00:10:34.470 --> 00:10:36.529 they had trouble with was they had trouble with 00:10:36.529 --> 00:10:39.159 anxiety. They had trouble with fear. and they 00:10:39.159 --> 00:10:42.259 didn't understand their purpose and I've always 00:10:42.259 --> 00:10:44.379 felt that it was because they had not allowed 00:10:44.379 --> 00:10:46.580 the Holy Spirit to operate in their life and 00:10:46.580 --> 00:10:48.820 to get the Word of God out and read about all 00:10:48.820 --> 00:10:51.480 the promises of God in the Word of God about 00:10:51.480 --> 00:10:54.000 how the Holy Spirit is there to comfort, to help, 00:10:54.220 --> 00:10:56.639 to protect, to lead, to guide and to keep us 00:10:56.639 --> 00:10:59.019 from having all of these challenges. Now I know 00:10:59.019 --> 00:11:01.399 sometimes these challenges happen and they can 00:11:01.399 --> 00:11:04.259 be temporary and they can kind of come upon you 00:11:04.259 --> 00:11:06.899 but if we go to the Word of God and we get on 00:11:06.899 --> 00:11:09.279 our face for God and ask for His comfort and 00:11:09.279 --> 00:11:11.240 direction, He will send comfort and direction. 00:11:11.259 --> 00:11:14.039 So if you're struggling with anxiety and weariness, 00:11:14.220 --> 00:11:17.340 just run to Jesus. Run to the Word of God. Find 00:11:17.340 --> 00:11:19.980 good Christian counsel and find someone who you 00:11:19.980 --> 00:11:22.639 can chat with, a pastor or a good friend who's 00:11:22.639 --> 00:11:24.919 a believer in Jesus Christ, and talk about the 00:11:24.919 --> 00:11:27.059 things of God and the goodness of God and be 00:11:27.059 --> 00:11:29.500 set free from that worry and anxiety. I claim 00:11:29.500 --> 00:11:32.320 that for your life in Jesus' name. I believe 00:11:32.320 --> 00:11:35.220 for it now. Now, think of this. What would happen 00:11:35.220 --> 00:11:38.559 if every follower of the Lord Jesus Christ would 00:11:38.559 --> 00:11:41.919 walk in the faith that God has prepared for them. 00:11:41.960 --> 00:11:44.460 The faith that is inside of them that is the 00:11:44.460 --> 00:11:46.600 faith and power of the Holy Spirit. The great 00:11:46.600 --> 00:11:49.039 faith that the Holy Spirit has available to people. 00:11:49.139 --> 00:11:51.879 Just think if everyone who were followers of 00:11:51.879 --> 00:11:54.860 Jesus Christ would operate and live in that faith 00:11:54.860 --> 00:11:57.340 and that power. I believe that most of them would 00:11:57.340 --> 00:12:00.519 be set free from anxiety and fear and depression 00:12:00.519 --> 00:12:03.440 and worry and they would all those things would 00:12:03.440 --> 00:12:05.879 disappear from them. Things like greed and lust 00:12:05.769 --> 00:12:08.789 and coveting and on and on and on. Those things 00:12:08.789 --> 00:12:11.389 would leave all of us if we would just simply 00:12:11.389 --> 00:12:13.850 totally depend on the Holy Spirit. Now I gotta 00:12:13.850 --> 00:12:16.049 take a second and share one thing with you. If 00:13:25.299 --> 00:13:27.720 I don't get results real quick, I have no problem 00:13:27.720 --> 00:13:30.019 going to see a doctor because I know that when 00:13:30.019 --> 00:13:33.000 I go to the doctor that God then can anoint that 00:13:33.000 --> 00:13:35.490 doctor. to give me treatments, maybe even better 00:13:35.490 --> 00:13:38.129 than what he's even aware of. Or our God can 00:13:38.129 --> 00:13:40.590 cause that medication that we take to work more 00:13:40.590 --> 00:13:42.950 efficiently. In my own case, when I was diagnosed 00:13:42.950 --> 00:13:46.090 with incurable bone marrow cancer, there's still 00:13:46.090 --> 00:13:48.950 absolutely no cure for it. And I was diagnosed 00:13:48.950 --> 00:13:51.210 with that nearly nine years ago. And the doctor 00:13:51.210 --> 00:13:53.830 said, if these medications, if things don't work, 00:13:53.850 --> 00:13:55.669 then you're probably not going to be with us 00:13:55.669 --> 00:13:58.110 in six months or less. And so when I was told 00:13:58.110 --> 00:14:00.429 that, I immediately told him by faith, the Holy 00:14:00.429 --> 00:14:02.250 Spirit gave me this, you can't scare me with 00:14:02.250 --> 00:14:04.110 heaven. but let's go ahead and move in with the 00:14:04.110 --> 00:14:06.029 treatments and let's take those treatments. Let's 00:14:06.029 --> 00:14:08.409 see what happens. I took chemo. I took things 00:14:08.409 --> 00:14:09.970 that some people say you just shouldn't take. 00:14:10.009 --> 00:14:12.169 I took them. I prayed that God would anoint them 00:14:12.169 --> 00:14:14.570 and bless them. I thought of chemo as being something 00:14:14.570 --> 00:14:16.889 like the mud that Jesus mixed and put in the 00:14:16.889 --> 00:14:19.129 eyes of the blind man. And so we would refer 00:14:19.129 --> 00:14:21.929 to chemo as the mud that God was preparing for 00:14:21.929 --> 00:14:24.669 me. And God used that in a very great way. God 00:14:24.669 --> 00:14:27.350 touched it and he made the healing happen so 00:14:27.350 --> 00:14:30.190 much faster. Instead of being gone in six months 00:14:30.190 --> 00:14:33.120 and they continue to give me medication. I took 00:14:33.120 --> 00:14:35.980 chemo for many years but only because of God. 00:14:36.039 --> 00:14:38.340 I never once got sick. I never once threw up. 00:14:38.340 --> 00:14:41.220 I never once lost any hair. One time I was talking to the 00:14:56.919 --> 00:14:59.519 doctor and I said you know I'm a pastor. I'm 00:14:59.519 --> 00:15:01.159 a man of faith. I believe that God's going to 00:15:01.159 --> 00:15:03.019 heal me?" And he said, yeah, I understand. And 00:15:03.019 --> 00:15:04.639 I said, but you know, let me ask you a question. 00:15:04.919 --> 00:15:06.559 All the medication that you're giving me and 00:15:06.559 --> 00:15:08.220 all the chemicals that you're putting together 00:15:08.220 --> 00:15:11.139 to give me, where was that created? Where did 00:15:11.139 --> 00:15:13.000 those chemicals come from? Did you find them 00:15:13.000 --> 00:15:14.879 here on earth? And the doctor said, well, of 00:15:14.879 --> 00:15:17.360 course. And I said, well. Isn't that something 00:15:17.360 --> 00:15:19.460 that God created? So therefore the medication 00:15:19.460 --> 00:15:21.940 that you're giving me are really bits and pieces 00:15:21.940 --> 00:15:24.720 of the creation that God made. And now man has 00:15:24.720 --> 00:15:27.480 finally come up with God given wisdom to put 00:15:27.480 --> 00:15:29.919 those things together to fight something like 00:15:29.919 --> 00:15:32.120 cancer. And the doctor said, wow, never thought 00:15:32.120 --> 00:15:33.720 of it that way. And I said, well, we should think 00:15:33.720 --> 00:15:35.940 of it that way because God is never going to 00:15:35.940 --> 00:15:38.539 leave us or forsake us. And he put that on earth 00:15:38.539 --> 00:15:40.539 so that we could get the treatment that we needed. 00:15:40.600 --> 00:15:42.960 So I'm going to leave it at that. In 1st John chapter 00:16:29.419 --> 00:16:32.559 4 verse 4, the New International Version, it 00:16:32.559 --> 00:16:35.379 says this, the one who is in you is greater than 00:16:35.379 --> 00:16:37.539 the one who is in the world. Well, the one in 00:16:37.539 --> 00:16:40.200 us is the Holy Spirit. The one that's in the 00:16:40.200 --> 00:16:42.899 world is the devil himself. And so already we 00:16:42.899 --> 00:16:45.250 can build faith just from that one scripture, 00:16:45.289 --> 00:16:47.710 if we truly believe it, that he who is in me 00:16:47.710 --> 00:16:50.250 is greater than he that is in the world, then 00:16:50.250 --> 00:16:52.649 we can take authority over that illness, that 00:16:52.649 --> 00:16:54.690 sickness, and receive the power of God. Here's 00:16:54.690 --> 00:16:56.230 another scripture I think that's comforting. 00:16:56.509 --> 00:16:59.570 In Romans chapter 8 and verse 31 in the New International 00:16:59.570 --> 00:17:02.110 Version, it says, if God is for us, who can be 00:17:02.110 --> 00:17:04.029 against us? What a wonderful statement that is. 00:17:04.029 --> 00:17:06.289 If we need faith, we need to have trust in God, 00:17:06.309 --> 00:17:08.569 the Holy Spirit is there to help us and remind 00:17:08.569 --> 00:17:11.269 us, remind us that we can go to God for greater 00:17:11.269 --> 00:17:14.230 faith, because he disperses it. Spirit disperses 00:17:14.230 --> 00:17:16.289 that faith to whom He chooses. And I believe 00:17:16.289 --> 00:17:18.470 He chooses those who are hunger and thirst for 00:17:18.470 --> 00:17:21.049 it, who have a desire for it, and want to do 00:17:21.049 --> 00:17:23.569 it for God's glory and that God be honored and 00:17:23.569 --> 00:17:25.230 praised throughout the whole thing. But that 00:17:25.230 --> 00:17:27.410 scripture, if God's for us, who can be against 00:17:27.410 --> 00:17:29.309 it, kind of tells me it. What difference does 00:17:29.309 --> 00:17:31.490 it make if someone's against us? Because as long 00:17:31.490 --> 00:17:34.390 as God is for us, nothing, no weapon formed against 00:17:34.390 --> 00:17:37.069 shall prosper. And that when God wants to bless 00:17:37.069 --> 00:17:39.589 us, He will. And when He wants to hold back the 00:17:39.589 --> 00:17:41.730 blessing for a while, He will. But when He wants 00:17:41.730 --> 00:17:44.240 to pour out the Holy Spirit on us, he will do 00:17:44.240 --> 00:17:46.660 that also and we can walk and live in the power 00:17:46.660 --> 00:17:49.180 of the Holy Spirit and have greater faith for 00:17:49.180 --> 00:17:51.619 the things we face in life. Now our faith can 00:17:51.619 --> 00:17:54.640 carry us through anything because of 1 John chapter 00:17:54.640 --> 00:17:57.839 5 verse 4 New International Version. For everyone 00:17:57.839 --> 00:18:00.920 born of God overcomes the world. This is the 00:18:00.920 --> 00:18:04.200 victory that has overcome the world, even our 00:18:04.200 --> 00:18:05.900 faith. In Hebrews chapter 00:18:30.500 --> 00:18:33.599 3 verse 19 it tells us that the Israelites could 00:18:33.599 --> 00:18:37.119 not claim God's promises because of their unbelief. 00:18:37.359 --> 00:18:39.579 Let not that happen to each and every one of 00:18:39.579 --> 00:18:41.980 us. We want to claim the promises of God through 00:18:41.980 --> 00:18:44.259 our belief and our trust and confidence in Him 00:18:44.259 --> 00:18:46.079 and through the power of the Holy Spirit that 00:18:46.079 --> 00:18:48.400 lives in us. The Holy Spirit helps us have faith 00:18:48.400 --> 00:18:51.440 even if we don't live a godly life. Think about 00:18:51.440 --> 00:18:54.119 that. Even if we're in fighting sin and having 00:18:54.119 --> 00:18:56.660 battles with sin, the Holy Spirit can still help 00:18:56.660 --> 00:18:59.240 us to have faith to overcome the battle that 00:18:59.240 --> 00:19:02.059 we're facing. In Proverbs 11 verse 2, New Living 00:19:02.059 --> 00:19:05.019 Translation, pride leads to disgrace, but with 00:19:05.019 --> 00:19:08.420 humility comes wisdom. I use that scripture because 00:19:08.420 --> 00:19:11.359 we've got to avoid pride. When I talk about having 00:19:11.359 --> 00:19:13.740 faith, even in the midst of our living, if we're 00:19:13.740 --> 00:19:15.440 not really living for God or we're not serving 00:19:15.440 --> 00:19:17.380 in the way we should, we can still have faith 00:19:17.380 --> 00:19:19.680 to come out of it, to be pulled out of it. We 00:19:19.680 --> 00:19:22.180 must avoid pride. We must avoid arrogance and 00:19:22.180 --> 00:19:25.380 bitterness and and unfaithfulness, all of these 00:19:25.380 --> 00:19:28.400 hurt our relationship with God and our relationship 00:19:28.400 --> 00:19:30.460 with the Holy Spirit. But even if you're in the 00:19:30.460 --> 00:19:32.900 midst of trials, right now you may be struggling 00:19:32.900 --> 00:19:34.960 with a drinking problem, you may be struggling 00:19:34.960 --> 00:19:37.079 with a drug problem, you may be struggling with 00:19:37.079 --> 00:19:39.319 pornography, there may be something in your life 00:19:39.319 --> 00:19:40.960 you're struggling with. Let me just tell you, 00:19:41.200 --> 00:19:43.059 greater is he who is in you than he is in the 00:19:43.059 --> 00:19:44.960 world. Whatever that situation is you're fighting 00:19:44.960 --> 00:19:47.660 right now, the Holy Spirit can help you to overcome 00:19:47.660 --> 00:19:50.140 it. Take authority over that now in Jesus' name. 00:19:50.259 --> 00:19:52.339 Now only the Holy Spirit can help us have faith. 00:19:52.170 --> 00:19:55.130 faith and even increase our faith. The Holy Spirit 00:19:55.130 --> 00:19:58.390 takes us higher. The Holy Spirit has faith that 00:19:58.390 --> 00:20:00.490 causes us to become overcomers, to be more than 00:20:00.490 --> 00:20:02.630 conquerors. The Holy Spirit tells us that we 00:20:02.630 --> 00:20:06.190 can, we will, and we must. Nothing can interfere 00:20:06.190 --> 00:20:09.519 with the Holy Spirit. Spirit led faith. Holy 00:20:09.519 --> 00:20:12.559 Spirit faith brings something that is not to 00:20:12.559 --> 00:20:15.279 us for those who believe that it's gonna come. 00:20:15.880 --> 00:20:18.099 The Holy Spirit is the one that brought forth 00:20:18.099 --> 00:20:20.119 the words that Paul wrote in the book of Romans 00:20:20.119 --> 00:20:22.480 where he says that we call forth those things 00:20:22.480 --> 00:20:24.779 that are not as though they are. That's Holy 00:20:24.779 --> 00:20:26.700 Spirit inspired to believe that whatever we're 00:20:26.700 --> 00:20:29.460 going through, we're gonna beat it in Jesus' 00:20:29.660 --> 00:20:31.599 name. We're gonna take authority over it in Jesus' 00:20:31.680 --> 00:20:33.579 name and through the power that lives in each 00:20:33.579 --> 00:20:35.460 and every one of us, we'll be able to walk in 00:20:35.460 --> 00:20:39.099 that power and healing of challenges that we 00:20:39.099 --> 00:20:41.039 face in our life, whatever it might be, there's 00:20:41.039 --> 00:20:43.279 nothing too difficult for God. In Romans 10, 00:20:43.279 --> 00:20:45.640 17, it says, faith comes from hearing the word 00:20:45.640 --> 00:20:47.519 of God.
