Well, 00:01:27.359 --> 00:01:29.359 today we're going to look at a lot of different 00:01:29.359 --> 00:01:31.859 areas of the Holy Spirit, bringing us powerful, 00:01:31.939 --> 00:01:33.959 greater faith than what we have ever imagined 00:01:33.959 --> 00:01:35.599 or even thought possible, and we're going to 00:01:35.599 --> 00:01:39.420 look at how many of us want to have unshakable 00:01:39.420 --> 00:01:41.620 faith. Now, some people think, well, that's impossible. 00:01:41.769 --> 00:01:44.250 No, it's not impossible because the Bible tells 00:01:44.250 --> 00:01:46.590 us that we can be anxious for nothing, that we 00:01:46.590 --> 00:01:48.409 don't have to worry about anything, that we can 00:01:48.409 --> 00:01:50.829 bring everything to God. And so if we allow ourselves 00:01:50.829 --> 00:01:53.150 to be led by the Spirit of God, I believe we 00:01:53.150 --> 00:01:56.250 will experience unshakable faith. So the question 00:01:56.250 --> 00:01:59.109 was, how many of us want to have that? Well, 00:01:59.129 --> 00:02:01.370 we've got to decide in our own heart and mind 00:02:01.370 --> 00:02:03.430 that that's what we desire in our prayer life 00:02:03.430 --> 00:02:06.329 and our walk with God. You see, I defined unshakable 00:02:06.329 --> 00:02:10.030 faith as never being anxious or worrying about 00:02:10.030 --> 00:02:13.110 anything. Paul was one of the greatest examples 00:02:13.110 --> 00:02:15.069 of unshakable faith that we read about in the 00:02:15.069 --> 00:02:17.629 Word of God. The example of that would be all 00:02:17.629 --> 00:02:19.949 the powerful scriptures that he wrote under incredible 00:02:19.949 --> 00:02:21.990 pressure when he was in prison. He was beaten 00:02:21.990 --> 00:02:23.949 and bruised and they were trying to kill him, 00:02:24.169 --> 00:02:26.530 starve him to death and yet he had incredible 00:02:26.530 --> 00:02:28.810 unshakable faith and I believe he could only 00:02:28.810 --> 00:02:30.889 do that through the power and the anointing of 00:02:30.889 --> 00:02:33.090 the Holy Spirit and it's the same way for us 00:02:33.090 --> 00:02:36.289 today. We all know that sometimes we need a boost 00:02:36.289 --> 00:02:38.669 in our faith. Now if you don't feel that way, 00:02:38.830 --> 00:02:40.620 well then maybe we ought to humble ourselves 00:02:40.620 --> 00:02:43.139 a little bit more and say that all of us have 00:02:43.139 --> 00:02:45.300 wished that we'd have more faith and I certainly 00:02:45.300 --> 00:02:47.319 believe there were times in my life that I wish 00:02:47.319 --> 00:02:49.439 I had more faith and those things pop up when 00:02:49.439 --> 00:02:51.960 you never expect them. The Bible shows us that 00:02:51.960 --> 00:02:54.340 there are many different levels of faith. I've 00:02:54.340 --> 00:02:56.580 talked a lot of this about this in prayer podcasts 00:02:56.580 --> 00:02:59.300 on having faith for miracles and having faith 00:02:59.300 --> 00:03:00.860 to believe for things that are not as though 00:03:00.860 --> 00:03:03.300 that they are and these are all part of this 00:03:03.300 --> 00:03:05.620 series that we're talking about on Holy Spirit 00:03:05.620 --> 00:03:08.960 led prayers and on Holy Spirit brings unshakable 00:03:08.960 --> 00:03:11.979 faith and the Holy Spirit leads us and guides 00:03:11.979 --> 00:03:14.400 us into greater faith. You see, the Bible talks 00:03:14.400 --> 00:03:16.620 about little faith. It talks about great faith. 00:03:16.780 --> 00:03:20.159 It talks about mountain -moving faith. We all 00:03:20.159 --> 00:03:23.460 go through times of a lack of faith. The secret 00:03:23.460 --> 00:03:26.819 to having great faith consistently is to surrender 00:03:26.819 --> 00:03:29.860 to the leading of the Holy Spirit. God's Word 00:03:29.860 --> 00:03:32.719 shows us the best source of unshakable faith. 00:03:32.860 --> 00:03:35.979 that lives inside of us. It's the Holy Spirit. 00:03:36.060 --> 00:03:38.819 As Christians, we have that unshakable faith 00:03:38.819 --> 00:03:41.800 living and dwelling in us because it's the person 00:03:41.800 --> 00:03:44.419 of the Holy Spirit who lives and resides in each 00:03:44.419 --> 00:03:47.060 one of us. So if that powerful faith is in us, 00:03:47.139 --> 00:03:49.340 why can't we receive it? Why can't it come out 00:03:49.340 --> 00:03:51.560 in our heart, in our mind, in what we speak and 00:03:51.560 --> 00:03:54.099 what we say and what we pray and what we have 00:03:54.099 --> 00:03:57.020 faith for? Because I believe it can. It is obvious 00:03:57.020 --> 00:03:59.599 that I'm referring through this whole podcast 00:03:59.599 --> 00:04:02.699 to the Holy Spirit. He has the power to take 00:04:02.699 --> 00:04:06.360 us to great faith, to greater faith, to unbelievable 00:04:06.360 --> 00:04:09.139 faith, unwavering faith. We must never forget 00:04:09.139 --> 00:04:12.139 though that God's promise to his followers is 00:04:12.139 --> 00:04:15.159 that he wants to bless us. He's given us hundreds 00:04:15.159 --> 00:04:17.240 and hundreds of examples of promises that he 00:04:17.240 --> 00:04:20.120 has for us, and those promises come and are fulfilled 00:04:20.120 --> 00:04:23.560 when we operate and submit ourselves under the 00:04:23.560 --> 00:04:25.459 leading and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. 00:04:25.560 --> 00:04:28.420 We see scriptures all over the place talking 00:04:28.420 --> 00:04:30.220 about the power of the Holy Spirit. Let me pull 00:04:30.220 --> 00:04:32.189 this one out that I found. very interesting the 00:04:32.189 --> 00:04:34.990 other day, found in Zechariah chapter 4 and verse 00:04:34.990 --> 00:04:38.610 6. It's not by might nor by power, that's referring 00:04:38.610 --> 00:04:41.610 to man's power, but by my spirit says the Lord 00:04:41.610 --> 00:04:44.550 Almighty. So we can't force ourselves to do things. 00:04:44.550 --> 00:04:47.269 You know, it reminds me of years ago when I was 00:04:47.269 --> 00:04:49.410 first diagnosed with incurable cancer. I've had 00:04:49.410 --> 00:04:51.930 that several times, fought some amazing battles 00:04:51.930 --> 00:04:54.029 and God's brought me through every single time. 00:04:54.089 --> 00:04:57.050 But a lot of people, when they win the battle 00:04:57.050 --> 00:04:59.230 over cancer, they try to take credit for it. 00:04:59.230 --> 00:05:01.250 They say, well, I'm not gonna let that do that 00:05:01.250 --> 00:05:03.709 to me, I beat it, I beat it, and people say, 00:05:03.850 --> 00:05:06.610 you beat it, and I would never ever acknowledge 00:05:06.610 --> 00:05:08.949 that any cancer that's been defeated in my body 00:05:08.949 --> 00:05:11.430 that I beat it. It's the power of the Holy Spirit 00:05:11.430 --> 00:05:13.949 inside of me that gave me the ability to go through 00:05:13.949 --> 00:05:16.269 it, through the circumstances, and it's the healing 00:05:16.269 --> 00:05:18.750 power of Jesus that took that cancer from my 00:05:18.750 --> 00:05:21.170 body. So we must never take credit for things 00:05:21.170 --> 00:05:23.370 that we accomplish in our life. It's only by 00:05:23.370 --> 00:05:25.209 the Spirit that really great things are done. 00:05:25.470 --> 00:05:29.060 So read Zachariah once again, four and six. not 00:05:29.060 --> 00:05:32.339 by might nor by power, that's man's power, but 00:05:32.339 --> 00:05:35.100 by my spirit, says the Lord. That really means 00:05:35.100 --> 00:05:38.079 that only the Holy Spirit has what we need when 00:05:38.079 --> 00:05:41.300 we need it and how to have unshakable, unwavering 00:05:41.300 --> 00:05:44.259 faith. Now, to have greater faith, we must ask 00:05:44.259 --> 00:05:47.459 the Holy Spirit for help. We can pray for strength, 00:05:47.720 --> 00:05:50.680 for stronger faith, for unmovable faith, provided 00:05:50.680 --> 00:05:54.360 we surrender our strength to Him. and his strength 00:05:54.360 --> 00:05:57.300 and his power and we must never forget that powerful 00:05:57.300 --> 00:06:00.920 unmovable faith is a promise from God. He desires 00:06:00.920 --> 00:06:04.060 that his followers will be led by the Holy Spirit 00:06:04.060 --> 00:06:07.319 and he desires for his followers to have great 00:06:07.319 --> 00:06:09.939 faith, unshakable faith. And 00:06:54.439 --> 00:06:56.339 that they have that power and that strength that 00:06:56.339 --> 00:06:58.939 they can draw upon to have greater faith, to 00:06:58.939 --> 00:07:01.060 have greater strength in their prayer life and 00:07:01.060 --> 00:07:03.939 have unwavering and unshakable faith, Father, 00:07:04.220 --> 00:07:06.699 like the Word of God tells us that we can have. 00:07:06.779 --> 00:07:09.079 And I pray you'll bless them with that. So if you're not sure, if you're 00:07:22.879 --> 00:07:24.759 not positive where you're going to spend eternity, 00:07:25.000 --> 00:07:27.379 if you're not positive that heaven is in your 00:07:27.379 --> 00:07:29.600 future, that when we pass from this life to the 00:07:29.600 --> 00:07:31.379 next, that you don't know where you're going 00:07:31.379 --> 00:07:33.980 to go, we can settle that right now. So those 00:07:33.980 --> 00:07:35.519 of you who've never given your life to Christ, 00:07:35.540 --> 00:07:37.579 just repeat this prayer with me. I'll take just 00:07:37.579 --> 00:07:39.540 a moment to do this, but I really feel that of 00:07:39.540 --> 00:07:41.660 the Holy Spirit that this is the time. Say, Heavenly 00:07:41.660 --> 00:07:44.120 Father, I need you. The Bible tells me that I 00:07:44.120 --> 00:07:47.180 need a Savior. I need to make Jesus Lord of my 00:07:47.180 --> 00:07:49.579 life. But I've sinned and I've fallen short of 00:07:49.579 --> 00:07:52.660 his glory. So this day I repent of my sins and 00:07:52.660 --> 00:07:55.839 I ask Jesus to forgive me and cleanse me from 00:07:55.839 --> 00:07:59.079 all unrighteousness. And I receive Jesus as my 00:07:59.079 --> 00:08:02.399 Lord and Savior. And I believe that he was born 00:08:02.399 --> 00:08:05.279 of the Virgin Mary. He suffered. He died through 00:08:05.279 --> 00:08:08.250 that horrendous crucifixion. But He rose from 00:08:08.250 --> 00:08:10.350 the dead so that we could have eternal life with 00:08:10.350 --> 00:08:13.089 Him and He sits by the Father now. So I receive 00:08:13.089 --> 00:08:16.250 and I claim Jesus Christ as my Lord and my Savior 00:08:16.250 --> 00:08:19.069 and I promise to serve Him all the days of my 00:08:19.069 --> 00:08:21.850 life. And those of you who are 00:08:57.370 --> 00:08:59.610 listening in today, if you have friends who don't 00:08:59.610 --> 00:09:01.690 know Jesus, or you're not sure what the relationship 00:09:01.690 --> 00:09:03.870 with the Lord is, make sure that you do. Make 00:09:03.870 --> 00:09:05.600 sure that you ask them if they've given given 00:09:05.600 --> 00:09:07.340 their life to Christ, if they know that they're 00:09:07.340 --> 00:09:09.659 going to spend eternity in heaven, and if they 00:09:09.659 --> 00:09:11.460 don't, then you can lead them in that prayer, 00:09:11.580 --> 00:09:13.679 a prayer that just tells them to confess their 00:09:13.679 --> 00:09:16.039 sins and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, and 00:09:16.039 --> 00:09:18.480 then help them to be discipled and get into a 00:09:18.480 --> 00:09:20.440 church and get the Word of God into them. So 00:09:20.440 --> 00:09:22.120 I guess the Holy Spirit wanted us to have a little 00:09:22.120 --> 00:09:24.980 session here on that right now, so I feel perfectly 00:09:24.980 --> 00:09:27.580 comfortable now to move on. I believe the Spirit 00:09:27.580 --> 00:09:29.559 of God is pleased with that. All right, now in 00:09:29.559 --> 00:09:31.879 the Bible, let's get back to our topic today 00:09:31.879 --> 00:09:34.519 on how the Holy Spirit brings us unshakable faith. 00:09:34.700 --> 00:09:36.700 In the Bible, in Romans chapter 10 and verse 00:09:36.700 --> 00:09:39.200 17, the New Living Translation, it says a few 00:09:39.200 --> 00:09:41.220 words that are so powerful. It simply says this, 00:09:41.279 --> 00:09:43.840 faith comes from hearing, that is hearing the 00:09:43.840 --> 00:09:46.080 good news about Christ. So what that means is 00:09:46.080 --> 00:09:48.480 we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. 00:09:48.700 --> 00:09:51.659 We have the faith to receive Him because by faith 00:09:51.659 --> 00:09:54.080 we come to Him and it's by grace that we're saved. 00:09:54.379 --> 00:09:57.259 So our faith and God's grace comes together and 00:09:57.259 --> 00:09:59.639 we're born into the kingdom of God. We're born 00:09:59.639 --> 00:10:01.940 again and we receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. 00:10:02.039 --> 00:10:04.909 Now once we receive our faith, in Jesus Christ, 00:10:05.149 --> 00:10:08.190 then we receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit 00:10:08.190 --> 00:10:11.350 and we then get into the Word of God and where 00:10:11.350 --> 00:10:13.919 it starts to become... taught and inspired by 00:10:13.919 --> 00:10:15.720 the Word of God. Listen to this scripture here 00:10:15.720 --> 00:10:18.000 that talks about what the Word of God has to 00:10:18.000 --> 00:10:21.179 do to help us. In 2 Timothy chapter 3, verses 00:10:21.179 --> 00:10:24.220 16 and 17 in the New International Version, it 00:10:24.220 --> 00:10:25.899 says this. I'm going to read it slowly because 00:10:25.899 --> 00:10:28.179 I think it's so important we just salivate on 00:10:28.179 --> 00:10:31.559 each word. All scripture is God breathed. Wow, 00:10:31.700 --> 00:10:34.019 you could stop right there and realize that's 00:10:34.019 --> 00:10:36.740 the Holy Spirit who breathed those words into 00:10:36.740 --> 00:10:40.659 Paul, into James, into John, into Matthew, and 00:10:40.659 --> 00:10:43.940 Mark. Moses and all these people thought the 00:10:43.940 --> 00:10:47.159 Word of God, they were inspired by the Holy Spirit 00:10:47.159 --> 00:10:49.240 to bring words that were put into the Word of 00:10:49.240 --> 00:10:51.419 God, both Old Testament and New Testament. It 00:10:51.419 --> 00:10:54.399 says, all scripture is God -breathed and is useful 00:10:54.399 --> 00:10:58.019 for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, and 00:10:58.019 --> 00:11:00.460 training in righteousness. And verse 17 says, 00:11:00.700 --> 00:11:03.120 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly 00:11:03.120 --> 00:11:07.700 equipped for every good work. makes some of you 00:11:07.700 --> 00:11:09.480 think that we're kind of moving away from the 00:11:09.480 --> 00:11:11.940 teaching here on the Holy Spirit and having unshakable 00:11:11.940 --> 00:11:14.059 faith. But if we don't get into the Word of God, 00:11:14.059 --> 00:11:16.120 if we don't start reading the Word of God, the 00:11:16.120 --> 00:11:18.539 Holy Spirit inspired Word of God, we're going 00:11:18.539 --> 00:11:20.940 to miss out on understanding how we can have 00:11:20.940 --> 00:11:23.320 unshakable faith through our relationship with 00:11:23.320 --> 00:11:25.480 the Holy Spirit. Because the Holy Spirit brought 00:11:25.480 --> 00:11:27.620 all those words to us to help us, to instruct 00:11:27.620 --> 00:11:30.740 us, and to teach us. It says, and to rebuke us, 00:11:30.879 --> 00:11:33.720 and correct us, and train us in righteousness. 00:11:33.860 --> 00:11:36.740 So that's the Word of God. It's powerful. walk 00:11:36.740 --> 00:11:38.940 with unshakable faith unless we get the Word 00:11:38.940 --> 00:11:41.620 of God in us. I believe every time that we are 00:11:41.620 --> 00:11:43.899 faced with a challenge, we need to find a scripture 00:11:43.899 --> 00:11:45.980 that helps us beat that challenge or come up 00:11:45.980 --> 00:11:48.320 to that challenge or at least confront that challenge 00:11:48.320 --> 00:11:50.759 or defeat that challenge. And the reason I say 00:11:50.759 --> 00:11:53.080 that is that because the Holy Spirit inspired 00:11:53.080 --> 00:11:55.379 that word and then we need to get that word inside 00:11:55.379 --> 00:11:58.120 of us so that we can then rely upon that word. 00:11:58.179 --> 00:12:00.440 Otherwise, we'll not have greater faith. We will 00:12:00.440 --> 00:12:03.740 be tossed around by every wind of doctrine. We'll 00:12:03.740 --> 00:12:05.600 be tossed here and there. Now this scripture, 00:12:22.750 --> 00:12:24.350 and these scriptures that I've been reading today, 00:12:24.590 --> 00:12:27.429 quite frankly, point us to the Holy Spirit, that 00:12:27.429 --> 00:12:31.190 he teaches us, and I love it that he rebukes 00:12:31.190 --> 00:12:33.639 us. You ever get that little voice that says, 00:12:34.120 --> 00:12:36.360 you need to go back and apologize to that person? 00:12:36.620 --> 00:12:38.259 Or you get that little thought in your mind that 00:12:38.259 --> 00:12:40.360 says, I need to call my mom or dad or I need 00:12:40.360 --> 00:12:42.519 to do this or I need to do that. I believe as 00:12:42.519 --> 00:12:44.679 a follower of Jesus Christ, that's the Holy Spirit 00:12:44.679 --> 00:12:47.000 telling us there's something we need to do. It 00:12:47.000 --> 00:12:49.360 might be a slight rebuke. It might be a major 00:12:49.360 --> 00:12:51.320 rebuke. It might be that you had a discussion 00:12:51.320 --> 00:12:53.740 with someone and after the discussion, you just 00:12:53.740 --> 00:12:55.639 don't feel right about it. That's the Holy Spirit 00:12:55.639 --> 00:12:57.779 helping you. Therefore, if we desire greater 00:13:54.960 --> 00:13:58.240 faith, we must go to the Holy Spirit, who is 00:13:58.240 --> 00:14:01.259 the source. of our faith. He helps us in our 00:14:01.259 --> 00:14:03.580 faith. He encourages us in our faith. He helps 00:14:03.580 --> 00:14:06.720 us to walk in faith. We were attending our church. 00:14:19.620 --> 00:14:21.559 We had a wonderful Sunday school class. Things 00:14:21.559 --> 00:14:23.500 were just going really great. We had a huge Sunday 00:14:23.500 --> 00:14:25.860 school class, had like 600 people on the roster, 00:14:25.899 --> 00:14:28.919 and we'd have well over 300 people every week 00:14:28.919 --> 00:14:31.440 in attendance in this Bible class at church. 00:14:31.539 --> 00:14:33.419 It was between the church services. And it was 00:14:33.419 --> 00:14:34.620 just wonderful. And I thought, well, this is 00:14:34.620 --> 00:14:36.519 it. This is what we're going to do the rest of 00:14:36.519 --> 00:14:38.879 our life, make good money, give a bunch to the 00:14:38.879 --> 00:14:41.360 Lord, and bless other people, and teach this 00:14:41.360 --> 00:14:43.279 class, and help people, and pray for people. 00:14:43.500 --> 00:14:45.019 And I thought, this was it. We're done. And then 00:14:45.019 --> 00:14:48.220 one day. Out of nowhere, I read a book on the 00:14:48.220 --> 00:14:50.899 life of Smith Wigglesworth, a great evangelist, 00:14:51.039 --> 00:14:53.179 and how he went from becoming a plumber at the 00:14:53.179 --> 00:14:55.559 age of 48 to becoming a full -time preacher and 00:14:55.559 --> 00:14:57.559 evangelist. He was an incredible evangelist. 00:14:57.779 --> 00:15:01.700 He lived to the age of 88, and he died in 1946. 00:15:02.000 --> 00:15:04.659 And when I read that, I was so touched because, 00:15:04.720 --> 00:15:05.960 now some of you are going to be shocked when 00:15:05.960 --> 00:15:08.299 I give you this next statement, I was born in 00:15:08.299 --> 00:15:10.340 1946. I know that'll shock some of you. Some 00:15:10.340 --> 00:15:11.820 of you think that I couldn't be more than 30 00:15:11.820 --> 00:15:14.059 or 40 years old, and some of you know I'm pushing 00:15:14.059 --> 00:15:17.610 80. I can tell you the experiences that I've 00:15:17.610 --> 00:15:20.500 had since I became a... follower of Jesus Christ 00:15:20.500 --> 00:15:22.720 are greater than any experiences I had before 00:15:22.720 --> 00:15:25.340 that. And so I read that book, this incredible 00:15:25.340 --> 00:15:27.240 man who went into full -time ministry, and I 00:15:27.240 --> 00:15:30.200 was 48 years of age at the time. And I felt the 00:15:30.200 --> 00:15:32.200 Holy Spirit tell me, if you'll go into full ministry 00:15:32.200 --> 00:15:34.200 and stay involved in full ministry, I'm going 00:15:34.200 --> 00:15:36.480 to bless you, and you'll be involved in ministry 00:15:36.480 --> 00:15:38.539 and active ministry until you're going to be 00:15:38.539 --> 00:15:41.580 at least 88 years of age, which is the year that 00:15:41.580 --> 00:15:43.620 how old Smith Wigglesworth was when he died. 00:15:43.720 --> 00:15:45.600 So the Holy Spirit was really dealing with me 00:15:45.600 --> 00:15:47.500 and teaching me to make a change. And we were 00:15:47.500 --> 00:15:49.059 comfortable in what we were doing. I mean, we 00:15:49.059 --> 00:15:51.259 had things going right. We were serving the Lord. 00:15:51.500 --> 00:15:53.799 Our marriage was just phenomenal. And at the 00:15:53.799 --> 00:15:56.960 time, we'd been married for 28 years. And I remember 00:15:56.960 --> 00:15:58.799 after reading that book, going to dinner that 00:15:58.799 --> 00:16:00.340 night with my wife, we were on the beach over 00:16:00.340 --> 00:16:02.659 in California. And I remember telling my wife, 00:16:02.679 --> 00:16:04.820 you know, honey, I felt the Holy Spirit speak 00:16:04.820 --> 00:16:06.559 to me today. And I think we're supposed to close 00:16:06.559 --> 00:16:08.659 our company down, shut it down, and go to work 00:16:08.659 --> 00:16:10.879 for the church for free. And she started crying 00:16:10.879 --> 00:16:12.860 in her tears and her eyes. And I thought, oh, 00:16:12.860 --> 00:16:15.320 it's OK. It's OK. We don't need to do it right 00:16:15.320 --> 00:16:17.620 now, because I thought maybe I would shock her 00:16:17.620 --> 00:16:19.840 a little too. And she said, no, no, no, I'm just, 00:16:19.840 --> 00:16:21.860 I'm crying because I'm happy. She said, when 00:16:21.860 --> 00:16:23.840 I was a little girl, I believe the Lord told 00:16:23.840 --> 00:16:25.659 me that I'd be married to a pastor or preacher 00:16:25.659 --> 00:16:28.399 someday. And when she said that, I was touched 00:16:28.399 --> 00:16:30.879 because we'd been married for 28 years. I'd never 00:16:30.879 --> 00:16:33.860 heard that. And think about it. Why would she 00:16:33.860 --> 00:16:36.179 tell me that when I was a banker for a number 00:16:36.179 --> 00:16:37.960 of years, then a real estate developer for a 00:16:37.960 --> 00:16:39.899 number of years? Things were very successful. 00:16:39.899 --> 00:16:41.440 We were in church. Everything was wonderful. 00:16:41.559 --> 00:16:43.820 Why would she share that with me and condemn 00:16:43.820 --> 00:16:45.899 me or put me through difficult times? So I thought 00:16:45.899 --> 00:16:48.360 she was very loving to hold that back and hold 00:16:48.360 --> 00:16:51.259 onto that promise. Well, when we did that, we 00:16:51.259 --> 00:16:53.159 went into full -time ministry. And when they 00:16:53.159 --> 00:16:55.259 made that transition, I said, Lord, I'm going 00:16:55.259 --> 00:16:57.120 to need something to carry me through this. And 00:16:57.120 --> 00:16:59.240 the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, get to 00:16:59.240 --> 00:17:01.259 the book of Proverbs and read Proverbs chapter 00:17:01.259 --> 00:17:03.460 3 and verse 5, trust in the Lord with all your 00:17:03.460 --> 00:17:05.759 heart, lean not on your own understanding, in 00:17:05.759 --> 00:17:07.960 all your ways acknowledge Him and He'll direct 00:17:07.960 --> 00:17:11.680 your path. That scripture absolutely led us through 00:17:11.680 --> 00:17:14.079 the huge transition from our business going to 00:17:14.079 --> 00:17:16.440 work for the church, get rid of our expensive 00:17:16.440 --> 00:17:18.099 home because I couldn't afford a big house like 00:17:18.099 --> 00:17:20.720 that anymore and our cars had to be changed and 00:17:20.720 --> 00:17:23.039 our travel plans all stopped. Everything changed 00:17:23.039 --> 00:17:25.259 in our life and we were so thrilled about it 00:17:25.259 --> 00:17:27.420 and so happy about it because the Spirit of God 00:17:27.420 --> 00:17:29.559 says, I've got something better for you. And 00:17:29.559 --> 00:17:31.559 since that time the Lord's blessed us with a 00:17:31.559 --> 00:17:33.539 wonderful church. The Lord allowed us to build 00:17:33.539 --> 00:17:35.599 a beautiful church in North Scottsdale. At one 00:17:35.599 --> 00:17:37.119 time the attendance of that church was running 00:17:37.119 --> 00:17:39.529 over 2 ,000. and people, we had three locations. 00:17:39.769 --> 00:17:42.230 And what a blessing it was because the Holy Spirit 00:17:42.230 --> 00:17:44.490 spoke to me in the midst of when I think everything 00:17:44.490 --> 00:17:46.789 was gonna go great, but then He didn't just speak 00:17:46.789 --> 00:17:49.410 to me, He gave me a source of strength. He gave 00:17:49.410 --> 00:17:51.509 me the scripture that would carry me through. 00:17:51.589 --> 00:17:53.529 And some of you may have needed that. I don't 00:17:53.529 --> 00:17:55.529 know why I went in that direction. I had no intentions 00:17:55.529 --> 00:17:57.549 of talking about this story, but I believe the 00:17:57.549 --> 00:17:59.910 Holy Spirit gave me that. So some of you out 00:17:59.910 --> 00:18:02.349 there are thinking about making a change. You're 00:18:02.349 --> 00:18:04.029 wondering about whether you should change jobs 00:18:04.029 --> 00:18:05.950 or switch things or move to a different city 00:18:05.950 --> 00:18:08.240 or buy a new house or not buy a new house or 00:18:08.240 --> 00:18:09.880 whatever it might be, you want to make decisions, 00:18:10.160 --> 00:18:12.319 I'm just going to tell you, pray about it, seek 00:18:12.319 --> 00:18:14.579 God, get the word of God out, find scriptures 00:18:14.579 --> 00:18:16.880 that speak to you, and allow the Holy Spirit 00:18:16.880 --> 00:18:19.440 to guide your steps, and you'll never regret 00:18:19.440 --> 00:18:21.480 that. I guess there's an old saying that says 00:18:21.480 --> 00:18:23.700 time flies when you're having fun. Well, I'm 00:18:23.700 --> 00:18:26.180 finding this fun. I'm finding this encouraging. 00:18:26.380 --> 00:18:28.180 I hope that you're being blessed. Now let me stop for a second. 00:18:59.390 --> 00:19:02.269 to have unshakable faith, when you go to a challenge, 00:19:02.730 --> 00:19:04.650 they're tough, they're difficult. I've faced 00:19:04.650 --> 00:19:06.930 some incredible challenges in my life. I've had 00:19:06.930 --> 00:19:08.890 death sentences given to me by the doctors that 00:19:08.890 --> 00:19:10.549 you're only going to live so long. I've had that 00:19:10.549 --> 00:19:13.230 happen two, maybe, I guess three times if I throw 00:19:13.230 --> 00:19:16.250 in the loss of the kidney. And when I think about 00:19:16.250 --> 00:19:19.109 that, that I could have been lost in that and 00:19:19.109 --> 00:19:21.910 lost all that God had planned for me and not 00:19:21.910 --> 00:19:23.589 being able to do things. I would have never started 00:19:23.589 --> 00:19:25.410 podcasting. I would have never stopped writing 00:19:25.410 --> 00:19:27.609 if I would accept what they were saying, but 00:19:27.609 --> 00:19:30.680 just had to believe in what God had to do with 00:19:30.680 --> 00:19:33.079 me and that He had a plan for me. And we've all 00:19:33.079 --> 00:19:35.279 got to believe that. We've all got to receive 00:19:35.279 --> 00:19:37.819 the power of the Holy Spirit working and operating 00:19:37.819 --> 00:19:40.380 us and believe that He's able and willing and 00:19:40.380 --> 00:19:43.299 desires and wants to do that for us and in us. 00:19:43.539 --> 00:19:46.240 Only the Holy Spirit is able to bring greater 00:19:46.240 --> 00:19:49.049 unshakable faith. to each and every one of it. 00:19:49.150 --> 00:19:51.230 He is the only one that can do it. It's only by the Spirit of God. It's not 00:19:59.789 --> 00:20:03.329 by might or by by. by power, but by my spirit, 00:20:03.490 --> 00:20:06.329 says the Lord. And that's how we will have unshakable 00:20:06.329 --> 00:20:08.410 faith. So I'm going to pray for you now, and 00:20:08.410 --> 00:20:09.849 I'm going to believe that God's going to give 00:20:09.849 --> 00:20:12.450 you unshakable faith. Maybe not instantly. It 00:20:12.450 --> 00:20:14.690 might take months, weeks, years. I don't know. 00:20:14.829 --> 00:20:17.930 But if that's what you desire, just listen. But Lord, I believe that's going 00:21:26.519 --> 00:21:28.299 to happen in their lives so I believe for that 00:21:28.299 --> 00:21:30.579 and I claim it in the name of Jesus. I call forth 00:21:30.579 --> 00:21:32.619 those things in their life that are not, that 00:21:32.619 --> 00:21:34.880 they've been looking for, that they need to have 00:21:34.880 --> 00:21:36.740 happen in their life. I call them forth as though 00:21:36.740 --> 00:21:39.349 that they are. That's just a quote from the Word 00:21:39.349 --> 00:21:42.109 of God from the Apostle Paul. And Father, I believe 00:21:42.109 --> 00:21:44.029 that for their life and I pray they'll receive 00:21:44.029 --> 00:21:46.630 an anointing. Father, and a powerful anointing 00:21:46.630 --> 00:21:48.849 of the Holy Spirit would guide and direct them 00:21:48.849 --> 00:21:51.009 and lead their steps and help them, Father, to 00:21:51.009 --> 00:21:53.289 be more than overcomers, more than conquerors, 00:21:53.289 --> 00:21:56.390 Father, and live a great life filled with faith, 00:21:56.910 --> 00:21:59.890 unshakable, unwavering faith.
