So, now God's Word is the same yesterday, 00:04:23.279 --> 00:04:25.319 today, and forever. So therefore, we've got to 00:04:25.319 --> 00:04:28.170 understand when that was... came forth in that 00:04:28.170 --> 00:04:30.829 scripture, God still is operating that way today. 00:04:30.970 --> 00:04:32.949 Some people believe that the Holy Spirit has 00:04:32.949 --> 00:04:34.990 now lifted and the gifts of the Spirit are not 00:04:34.990 --> 00:04:36.970 operating any longer. Well, that just don't agree 00:04:36.970 --> 00:04:39.290 with that at all, because I know that the Word 00:04:39.290 --> 00:04:42.129 of God says that the Spirit of God will dwell 00:04:42.129 --> 00:04:45.149 among men, that the Holy Spirit is here to operate. 00:04:45.250 --> 00:04:47.410 And Jesus said when he left, he says, I'm leaving. 00:04:47.569 --> 00:04:49.189 I've got to be with the Father. But he says, 00:04:49.230 --> 00:04:51.769 I'm leaving you, the Holy Spirit, the Comforter. 00:04:51.810 --> 00:04:54.269 He said, our Paraclete. He says, our counselor, 00:04:54.389 --> 00:04:56.189 the one who will guide us and direct us and give 00:04:56.189 --> 00:04:59.360 us us help. So the Holy Spirit is who we have 00:04:59.360 --> 00:05:01.699 to help us. Don't refer to the Holy Spirit as 00:05:01.699 --> 00:05:06.079 it. The Holy Spirit is a he. It's who he is that's 00:05:06.079 --> 00:05:08.959 so important. The Holy Spirit is part of the 00:05:08.959 --> 00:05:11.259 Godhead, the triune Godhead. God the Father, 00:05:11.540 --> 00:05:15.379 God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Three individual, 00:05:15.379 --> 00:05:19.589 individual spirits. but all one God. We worship 00:05:19.589 --> 00:05:22.089 one God, the Trinity, the Triune God. If you 00:05:22.089 --> 00:05:23.730 have a problem with that and are struggling with 00:05:23.730 --> 00:05:25.529 that, you might want to get some counseling and 00:05:25.529 --> 00:05:27.769 help on that because it might be difficult for 00:05:27.769 --> 00:05:30.829 you at times to relate to when I talk about the 00:05:30.829 --> 00:05:33.730 Spirit of God and the Holy Spirit. Now, with 00:05:33.730 --> 00:05:35.410 these words I've just given you, what you just 00:05:35.410 --> 00:05:37.470 heard in the book of Joel, I will pour out my 00:05:37.470 --> 00:05:40.009 Spirit upon all people. With those words being 00:05:40.009 --> 00:05:43.329 spoken, how many want God to pour out his Spirit? 00:05:43.550 --> 00:05:46.509 on you. I hope that all of you listening in are 00:05:46.509 --> 00:05:48.709 feeling that way today, that you want the power 00:05:48.709 --> 00:05:50.810 of God to pour out on you. You want the Spirit 00:05:50.810 --> 00:05:53.870 of God to move on you and help you to operate 00:05:53.870 --> 00:05:55.829 in the Spirit and operate in the gifts of the 00:05:55.829 --> 00:05:58.769 Spirit and operate with wisdom from on high, 00:05:58.990 --> 00:06:01.470 not just your wisdom and your intelligence. Our wisdom or our intelligence is 00:06:03.750 --> 00:06:06.709 fine, but it's minor inside of God's power and 00:06:06.709 --> 00:06:08.750 his strength and his might and his wisdom, his 00:06:08.750 --> 00:06:11.899 knowledge. In the book of Isaiah, The Lord tells 00:06:11.899 --> 00:06:14.120 us that his ways are greater than our ways. His 00:06:14.120 --> 00:06:16.319 thoughts are greater than our ways. Everything 00:06:16.319 --> 00:06:18.579 that he is is greater than we are. So therefore 00:06:18.579 --> 00:06:21.040 we've got to understand that we need help to 00:06:21.040 --> 00:06:23.439 learn how to operate and walk in the power of 00:06:23.439 --> 00:06:25.680 God and in the power of the Holy Spirit. So I'm 00:06:25.680 --> 00:06:28.800 just asking that the Heavenly Father will help 00:06:28.800 --> 00:06:32.579 us to get more of you. receive more of the Holy 00:06:32.579 --> 00:06:34.860 Spirit. We submit to the Holy Spirit. There's about a man, a man who is 00:09:56.509 --> 00:09:57.769 a servant. I'm not even going to give you his 00:09:57.769 --> 00:09:59.730 name. I'll be doing that in an upcoming podcast. 00:09:59.889 --> 00:10:01.710 And they looked at him and they saw him. Well, in Galatians chapter 3 and verse 00:10:57.830 --> 00:11:02.220 14, it tells us who we are. as believers and 00:11:02.220 --> 00:11:05.940 it tells us that we receive the promise of the 00:11:05.940 --> 00:11:09.019 Holy Spirit through faith. So through faith and 00:11:09.019 --> 00:11:11.940 our desire to seek God, we can receive the power 00:11:11.940 --> 00:11:13.879 of the Holy Spirit. Well, you know, there's a lot of pressure 00:12:06.250 --> 00:12:08.750 out there to keep us from being led by the Spirit. 00:12:09.009 --> 00:12:11.009 Some of the pressure is our own knowledge, our 00:12:11.009 --> 00:12:13.509 own wisdom, our own understanding. Well, that's 00:12:13.509 --> 00:12:15.470 okay, and that's good, and God helps with those 00:12:15.470 --> 00:12:17.529 things, but our understanding is nowhere near 00:12:17.529 --> 00:12:19.490 as great as the Holy Spirit's understanding. 00:12:19.669 --> 00:12:22.370 And we get distracted with life. It refers to, in other translations, 00:17:48.900 --> 00:17:52.099 they call the Holy Spirit voice a gentle whisper 00:17:52.099 --> 00:17:54.960 or a soft whisper or a low whisper, but it's 00:17:54.960 --> 00:17:57.039 a still quiet voice. Let me give you an example 00:17:57.039 --> 00:17:59.140 of what I like to explain what a still quiet 00:17:59.140 --> 00:18:01.960 voice is. Have you ever been, you know, sitting 00:18:01.960 --> 00:18:04.400 down somewhere where it's quiet or driving somewhere 00:18:04.400 --> 00:18:06.519 or just going for a walk and all of a sudden 00:18:06.519 --> 00:18:08.519 a thought comes into your mind like, call my 00:18:08.519 --> 00:18:11.299 mom or dad or call my friend or I've got this 00:18:11.299 --> 00:18:13.539 thing I need to do, whatever. I believe the Holy 00:18:13.539 --> 00:18:16.039 Spirit still quiet voice speaks to us like that. 00:18:15.980 --> 00:18:18.359 It's that thought that comes into your mind, 00:18:18.440 --> 00:18:20.579 something that's there. It was kind of a tradition for 00:18:32.900 --> 00:18:34.940 me to go in on Saturdays and then I would pray 00:18:34.940 --> 00:18:37.359 and I'd ask the Holy Spirit to help me to call 00:18:37.359 --> 00:18:39.619 people, maybe people that I don't know, that 00:18:39.619 --> 00:18:41.980 I should talk to, maybe just call them and invite 00:18:41.980 --> 00:18:43.940 them to church or remind them that we're going 00:18:43.940 --> 00:18:46.299 to be speaking on a certain topic and those types 00:18:46.299 --> 00:18:48.339 of things. But bottom line, it's important that 00:24:25.690 --> 00:24:27.829 we need to understand that the Holy Spirit wants 00:24:27.829 --> 00:24:30.329 to lead us. He wants to guide us. And if we listen 00:24:30.329 --> 00:24:33.210 to that still, quiet voice, then we will be led 00:24:33.210 --> 00:24:35.269 of the Holy Spirit.
