And that 00:06:31.350 --> 00:06:34.189 led me on about a three year journey of just 00:06:34.189 --> 00:06:36.829 privately learning how intercessory prayer worked, 00:06:36.870 --> 00:06:40.290 just Holy Spirit teaching me. And after that, 00:06:40.389 --> 00:06:42.589 I had different experiences with churches and 00:06:42.589 --> 00:06:44.870 stuff. But then a lady minister invited me to 00:06:44.870 --> 00:06:48.529 come join her in Kentucky. And we had a ministry 00:06:48.529 --> 00:06:51.689 in the hotel that she and I managed. And we got 00:06:51.689 --> 00:06:54.149 to witness to truckers and we got to see miracles 00:06:54.149 --> 00:06:57.189 happen. People healed and set free from demons. 00:06:57.290 --> 00:07:00.069 And it was incredible. It was an incredible journey. 00:07:00.649 --> 00:07:04.089 Wow. So was that when you had a vehicle and the 00:07:04.089 --> 00:07:07.089 Lord told you to pray for your tires? Yes. Tell 00:07:07.089 --> 00:07:10.250 us that story. Yes. Actually, on my drive to 00:07:10.250 --> 00:07:13.370 Kentucky from Illinois, where we lived, the Lord, 00:07:13.389 --> 00:07:15.550 I was driving and just singing and worshiping 00:07:15.550 --> 00:07:17.769 and just, I love you, Lord, you know, things 00:07:17.769 --> 00:07:20.629 like that. And I just having a great praise party 00:07:20.629 --> 00:07:23.959 and I hear, pray for your tires. I was like, 00:07:24.019 --> 00:07:26.620 okay, I pray for my tires. My tires need prayer. 00:07:27.180 --> 00:07:29.819 And instantly I saw two demons on the right side 00:07:29.819 --> 00:07:32.519 of the road, right by the yellow line. One was 00:07:32.519 --> 00:07:35.060 tall and thin and the other one was round and 00:07:35.060 --> 00:07:37.139 short and stubby. And both of them had their 00:07:37.139 --> 00:07:39.339 arms long enough. They were just hanging. The 00:07:39.339 --> 00:07:41.639 back sides of the hands were hanging on the yellow 00:07:41.639 --> 00:07:45.680 line. And behind them were long talons. And they 00:07:45.680 --> 00:07:47.879 just glared at me as I passed by. And I said, 00:07:47.939 --> 00:07:52.500 oh. I really pray for my tires. And I know that 00:07:52.500 --> 00:07:54.620 had I not prayed for my tires, those shredded 00:07:54.620 --> 00:07:56.420 tires you see on the side of the road where people 00:07:56.420 --> 00:07:59.019 have their tires just like torn off their car, 00:07:59.180 --> 00:08:01.699 that is exactly what would have happened to my 00:08:01.699 --> 00:08:04.560 tires. Wow. So if you guys ever see that, I'm 00:08:04.560 --> 00:08:07.120 just warning you, you have the authority to pray 00:08:07.120 --> 00:08:09.560 for your vehicle, your tires, and protect yourself 00:08:09.560 --> 00:08:12.379 from these demons. You have angels that protect 00:08:12.379 --> 00:08:15.579 you, angels that warn you. And if you're told 00:08:15.579 --> 00:08:18.180 to pray for something, just obey. Beautiful. 00:08:18.180 --> 00:08:21.160 You know, that reminds me of a story that Sam 00:08:21.160 --> 00:08:24.399 Matthews told us, Dr. Sam Matthews. He's gone 00:08:24.399 --> 00:08:27.060 home to be with the Lord now, but he told us 00:08:27.060 --> 00:08:30.680 when, now he was a Baptist pastor and he came 00:08:30.680 --> 00:08:32.620 into the baptism in the Holy Spirit and he's 00:08:32.620 --> 00:08:35.320 learning all of this stuff about spiritual warfare, 00:08:35.480 --> 00:08:37.659 learning about prayer, learning about, you know, 00:08:37.679 --> 00:08:42.100 the deeper walk in the Spirit. I don't know if 00:08:42.100 --> 00:08:46.139 he had a vision or a dream, but he saw this situation 00:08:46.139 --> 00:08:49.399 where he and his wife would be in the car and 00:08:49.399 --> 00:08:52.679 they were on their way to a certain intersection. 00:08:53.379 --> 00:08:57.320 And he saw in the dream or the vision, this accident 00:08:57.320 --> 00:09:00.200 happened where this truck careened out of control 00:09:00.200 --> 00:09:04.039 and smashed into their car. And so they had to 00:09:04.039 --> 00:09:07.500 go someplace where they would pass this intersection. 00:09:09.600 --> 00:09:12.019 He said, you know, that they prayed together 00:09:12.019 --> 00:09:15.559 and they bound this thing, that it couldn't touch 00:09:15.559 --> 00:09:20.179 them. And so they cautiously went through this 00:09:20.179 --> 00:09:23.419 intersection. And he's saying, glory to God, 00:09:23.460 --> 00:09:25.480 we made it through this intersection. And then 00:09:25.480 --> 00:09:28.519 he looked in his rearview mirror and the truck 00:09:28.519 --> 00:09:30.860 that he had seen in the vision careened into 00:09:30.860 --> 00:09:35.129 the car behind him. So he learned from that that 00:09:35.129 --> 00:09:39.090 they needed to not only negate the thing that 00:09:39.090 --> 00:09:41.990 was an assignment against them, but to absolutely 00:09:41.990 --> 00:09:45.370 negate it, completely neutralize it so that it 00:09:45.370 --> 00:09:48.590 couldn't be used against anybody else. So that's 00:09:48.590 --> 00:09:51.669 a little clue for us that God really wants us 00:09:51.669 --> 00:09:55.870 to go deeper. in our intercession, that it's 00:09:55.870 --> 00:09:58.730 not just to protect me and mine, but you can 00:09:58.730 --> 00:10:02.149 extend the border of your mantle over those that 00:10:02.149 --> 00:10:04.230 are around you. You can pray for all the people 00:10:04.230 --> 00:10:06.129 that are on the road at the same time that you 00:10:06.129 --> 00:10:08.429 are. You can pray for, as you're going through 00:10:08.429 --> 00:10:10.490 a city, you can pray for the whole city, for 00:10:10.490 --> 00:10:14.750 God to move. Just let the Holy Spirit move in 00:10:14.750 --> 00:10:18.720 your prayer life. So true. So true. Yes, I was there helping in the 00:10:24.879 --> 00:10:29.500 ministry as well as managing the hotel that her 00:10:29.500 --> 00:10:32.379 son and a friend had bought for that nine month 00:10:32.379 --> 00:10:35.539 time period. And while I was there, I really 00:10:35.539 --> 00:10:37.919 felt God was telling me I needed to go to Europe. 00:10:38.600 --> 00:10:41.750 And when I was praying about it, I wanted to 00:10:41.750 --> 00:10:45.190 make sure it wasn't just me wishing to travel 00:10:45.190 --> 00:10:47.590 elsewhere. So you were in your 20s, right? I 00:10:47.590 --> 00:10:51.090 was. I was 23 years old at the time. So at that 00:10:51.090 --> 00:10:55.690 point in your life, it's really wisdom to sit 00:10:55.690 --> 00:10:58.090 back a little bit and make sure that you're not 00:10:58.090 --> 00:11:01.470 just wishful thinking, that this is really the 00:11:01.470 --> 00:11:04.269 Lord. So what did you do? Well, I asked the lady 00:11:04.269 --> 00:11:06.210 minister I was working with. Her name was Mary 00:11:06.210 --> 00:11:09.549 Johnson. And I asked her to please pray over 00:11:09.549 --> 00:11:11.669 this with me. Just wanted to make sure that I 00:11:11.669 --> 00:11:14.029 wasn't the only one hearing this. And she prayed 00:11:14.029 --> 00:11:16.230 about it. And not too long later, she said, yes, 00:11:16.230 --> 00:11:18.929 I. feel like God is telling you to go. She's 00:11:18.929 --> 00:11:21.009 like, I'll miss you, but if you got to go, you 00:11:21.009 --> 00:11:24.909 got to go. So then what happened? Well, I ended 00:11:24.909 --> 00:11:28.309 up selling my car, which was only like $900 worth, 00:11:28.409 --> 00:11:31.289 but it ended up paying off bills I had, but that 00:11:31.289 --> 00:11:35.070 took everything I had. And so I prayed more because 00:11:35.070 --> 00:11:36.750 I'm like, Lord, I don't have anything to work 00:11:36.750 --> 00:11:39.570 with here. And so I got a Greyhound bus ticket 00:11:39.570 --> 00:11:42.529 back home to my town in Illinois. How did you 00:11:42.529 --> 00:11:44.639 get the bus ticket if you had no money? Mary 00:11:44.639 --> 00:11:47.200 bought it for me. Oh, God bless Mary. I know. 00:11:47.200 --> 00:11:49.120 She believed in you. Yes, she did. She believed 00:11:49.120 --> 00:11:52.000 in the word of the Lord to you. Good. She did. 00:11:52.340 --> 00:11:55.759 And when I got back to the town, it was like 00:11:55.759 --> 00:11:58.220 Tuesday, and the next day was Wednesday, and 00:11:58.220 --> 00:11:59.820 we had Wednesday night service at the little 00:11:59.820 --> 00:12:02.740 Church of God I attended before I left for Kentucky. 00:12:03.360 --> 00:12:06.919 And God had told me as I prayed on my way back 00:12:06.919 --> 00:12:10.379 that I needed to ask the pastor to see if the 00:12:10.379 --> 00:12:13.240 church would help fund my trip to Europe. And 00:12:13.240 --> 00:12:15.559 to make sure that it was also God, right? Yes. 00:12:15.620 --> 00:12:18.019 And so I did. That Wednesday night I went in 00:12:18.019 --> 00:12:20.340 and I pulled him inside and I said, would you 00:12:20.340 --> 00:12:22.299 do me a favor? I said, I feel like God's asking 00:12:22.299 --> 00:12:24.519 me to go to Europe. I said, but I would like 00:12:24.519 --> 00:12:28.379 you to pray and get confirmation for me as well. 00:12:29.159 --> 00:12:31.480 That's wisdom. And I told him that my friend 00:12:31.480 --> 00:12:34.279 Mary had also received confirmation from the 00:12:34.279 --> 00:12:36.919 Lord. But I also had been told by the Father 00:12:36.919 --> 00:12:40.039 that if I would ask the church, whatever they 00:12:40.039 --> 00:12:43.259 gave me, that provision. would be what I needed 00:12:43.259 --> 00:12:46.179 to go to Europe with. So I asked the pastor this, 00:12:46.259 --> 00:12:49.100 and he said he would pray about it. So that Sunday 00:12:49.100 --> 00:12:52.480 morning, I hadn't heard from him yet, and he 00:12:52.480 --> 00:12:55.799 ended up coming in. We had our Sunday school. 00:12:55.899 --> 00:12:58.120 We had our church service. And it was interesting 00:12:58.120 --> 00:13:00.139 because I was like, okay, he hasn't said anything 00:13:00.139 --> 00:13:03.059 to me. He hasn't barely even looked at me. But 00:13:03.059 --> 00:13:05.340 I was sitting there and he said, well, we're 00:13:05.340 --> 00:13:07.480 going to go ahead and take our offering. And 00:13:07.480 --> 00:13:10.039 I was like, okay, Lord, maybe the answer was 00:13:10.039 --> 00:13:12.480 no. I'm just going to leave this alone. But then 00:13:12.480 --> 00:13:14.539 as service was ending, he said, you guys all 00:13:14.539 --> 00:13:17.139 know Dorothy. I just want to welcome her up here 00:13:17.139 --> 00:13:20.820 because God's given her a desire to go to Europe. 00:13:21.259 --> 00:13:23.200 And I prayed about it, and I feel like she's 00:13:23.200 --> 00:13:25.539 supposed to go. So the congregation and I both 00:13:25.539 --> 00:13:28.179 found out at the same time. And how big was the 00:13:28.179 --> 00:13:30.639 congregation? There were about 17 people, and 00:13:30.639 --> 00:13:34.519 that was including children at the time. And 00:13:34.519 --> 00:13:36.159 then he asked, he said, well, we're going to 00:13:36.159 --> 00:13:38.720 take up a love offering. And she feels that whatever 00:13:38.720 --> 00:13:40.980 she gets is what God's sending her to Europe 00:13:40.980 --> 00:13:44.000 with. So if you guys have anything to give, please 00:13:44.000 --> 00:13:47.419 give it. And they ended up raising $300. And 00:13:47.419 --> 00:13:50.919 I just was so... moved by that. Back in 1993, 00:13:51.200 --> 00:13:55.320 that was a lot of money. And it also was so touching 00:13:55.320 --> 00:13:58.460 that these people would be willing to give of 00:13:58.460 --> 00:14:02.419 themselves for me. Beautiful. Beautiful. Well, I ended up calling 00:14:05.919 --> 00:14:09.480 my stepdad like the next day and he said, well, 00:14:09.559 --> 00:14:11.559 we've already kind of figured out that you're 00:14:11.559 --> 00:14:15.360 coming. Okay. Where were they? They were in Bielsko 00:14:15.360 --> 00:14:19.220 -Biala, Poland. Oh, in Europe. In Europe. Then I also saw at 00:45:31.480 --> 00:45:34.480 the same time, I saw that the presence of God 00:45:34.480 --> 00:45:37.639 is like oxygen. You can't sense it with your 00:45:37.639 --> 00:45:40.659 senses, but it's all around you and you can't 00:45:40.659 --> 00:45:43.239 live without it. Yeah.
