So he was giving the word of the 00:05:04.410 --> 00:05:07.250 Lord, things they want to hear and things they 00:05:07.250 --> 00:05:09.870 didn't want to hear. And he would speak of the 00:05:09.870 --> 00:05:14.470 glories of Israel, and then would go into, you're 00:05:14.470 --> 00:05:16.930 doing things wrong, and you need to change it. 00:05:17.230 --> 00:05:21.160 So anyway, in chapter 2 of Isaiah, verse 1, The 00:05:21.160 --> 00:05:23.720 word that Isaiah, the son of Amoz, saw concerning 00:05:23.720 --> 00:05:27.379 Judah and Jerusalem, and it shall come to pass 00:05:27.379 --> 00:05:29.439 in the last days. And guess what we're living 00:05:29.439 --> 00:05:31.660 in? We're living in the last days. And you look 00:05:31.660 --> 00:05:33.560 it up, and that's what it really means, end of 00:05:33.560 --> 00:05:37.459 time, last days. The mountain of the Lord's house 00:05:37.459 --> 00:05:39.800 shall be established in the top of the mountains, 00:05:39.980 --> 00:05:43.600 and shall be exalted above the hills, and all 00:05:43.600 --> 00:05:46.600 nations shall flow unto it. Chief of the mountains. In 00:06:07.579 --> 00:06:10.019 other words, it's the most important. Okay. It's 00:06:10.019 --> 00:06:11.740 the most important mountain. Not that it's the 00:06:11.740 --> 00:06:14.740 tallest, but it's the most important. That was 00:06:14.740 --> 00:06:17.360 like Shiloh. Yeah, Shiloh is the same. Yeah, 00:06:17.680 --> 00:06:20.959 Shiloh is the same thing. Shiloh was also a lower 00:06:20.959 --> 00:06:25.139 hill and there were mountains around it so that 00:06:25.139 --> 00:06:28.259 the people could eat their sacrifices that they 00:06:28.259 --> 00:06:30.819 took to the Lord and they brought back some meat 00:06:30.819 --> 00:06:35.639 to eat. You know, that's part of covenant that 00:06:35.639 --> 00:06:38.180 you eat part of the sacrifice. And that's why 00:06:38.180 --> 00:06:41.730 Jesus said, this is my body. given for you. That's 00:06:41.730 --> 00:06:43.670 what they did when they put the blood on the 00:06:43.670 --> 00:06:46.470 doorpost in the land of Egypt. Right. They ate 00:06:46.470 --> 00:06:50.589 the sacrifice in haste. Right. So the idea is 00:06:50.589 --> 00:06:54.910 that whatever happens to make covenant, you're 00:06:54.910 --> 00:06:58.009 participating with it and agreeing with it by 00:06:58.009 --> 00:07:01.189 taking it into yourself, and it becomes a part 00:07:01.189 --> 00:07:03.269 of you. Whatever you eat becomes a part of you, 00:07:03.290 --> 00:07:06.930 right? You get energy from it. You build strong 00:07:06.930 --> 00:07:10.910 bodies. And so that's why Jesus, when he instituted 00:07:10.910 --> 00:07:13.829 the new covenant, he gave us something to eat 00:07:13.829 --> 00:07:16.769 and said, this is my body. Okay, sorry. That 00:07:16.769 --> 00:07:19.290 was a wonderful bunny trail. Because Isaiah, you know, 00:07:59.959 --> 00:08:03.120 one of the greatest writers in the Old Testament, 00:08:03.420 --> 00:08:06.879 prophesying the Messiah. Yes. And, you know, 00:08:06.899 --> 00:08:09.879 he saw way far out. He saw thousands of years 00:08:09.879 --> 00:08:13.259 later, which is just really amazing. So you look 00:08:13.259 --> 00:08:15.819 at this mountain, you know, and the word of the 00:08:15.819 --> 00:08:18.439 Lord law comes out of Jerusalem because that's 00:08:18.439 --> 00:08:20.850 where the temple ended up. You know, the natural 00:08:20.850 --> 00:08:24.490 temple, you know, under Samuel, it was at Shiloh. 00:08:24.649 --> 00:08:26.850 You had the Ark of the Covenant. Yeah, from Joshua 00:08:26.850 --> 00:08:29.449 until Samuel. Joshua until Samuel. And then the 00:08:29.449 --> 00:08:32.350 Philistines got it for a season. And then when 00:08:32.350 --> 00:08:35.250 David was anointed king, you know, they brought 00:08:35.250 --> 00:08:38.149 the Ark up and eventually, through some mistakes 00:08:38.149 --> 00:08:40.830 and things, they got it right. They brought it 00:08:40.830 --> 00:08:44.710 up on an ox cart. They set it in place, but it 00:08:44.710 --> 00:08:47.009 was his son Solomon that built the temple. And 00:08:47.009 --> 00:08:49.840 that was the final resting place. for the Ark 00:08:49.840 --> 00:08:53.019 of the Covenant. So that's the house of the Lord. 00:08:53.220 --> 00:08:57.240 You know, the house. And so there is where you 00:08:57.240 --> 00:08:59.940 went up three times a year to give sacrifice 00:08:59.940 --> 00:09:03.559 unto the Lord. So you have all the scribes, you 00:09:03.559 --> 00:09:06.679 know. So the law, everything is taking place 00:09:06.679 --> 00:09:09.889 in Jerusalem. Right. Though it did get corrupt 00:09:09.889 --> 00:09:12.529 after a while, you know, which is what happened 00:09:12.529 --> 00:09:15.049 through the time of Jesus. Temples destroyed, 00:09:15.330 --> 00:09:18.230 you know, then it's rebuilt again and, you know, 00:09:18.230 --> 00:09:21.590 the amazing history. But the law still goes out 00:09:21.590 --> 00:09:25.289 from Jerusalem. Yes. And when Jesus comes back, 00:09:25.350 --> 00:09:28.250 you can read it in Zechariah chapter 13, I believe 00:09:28.250 --> 00:09:31.889 it is. And that day his feet shall stand on the 00:09:31.889 --> 00:09:34.549 Mount of Olives. Right, which is right opposite 00:09:34.549 --> 00:09:37.210 of the Temple Mount. What did Dean Braxton say 00:09:37.210 --> 00:09:40.230 they call the Lord in heaven? They call him the 00:09:40.230 --> 00:09:43.250 Word? Yes, the Father. But the Father is called 00:09:43.250 --> 00:09:45.309 the Word. The Father is called the Word. So the 00:09:45.309 --> 00:09:48.370 Word is going to put its feet on the Mount of 00:09:48.370 --> 00:09:51.129 Olives when he comes back. Yes. I thought, wow, 00:09:51.230 --> 00:09:55.519 in Jerusalem. Yes. And actually... Jesus hung 00:09:55.519 --> 00:09:58.179 out on the Mount of Olives during his lifetime, 00:09:58.379 --> 00:10:01.240 during his ministry. And so you see, 00:10:07.120 --> 00:10:09.460 as Isaiah is giving, you know, giving forth this 00:10:09.460 --> 00:10:12.860 word, and even after that, you know, he just 00:10:12.860 --> 00:10:15.019 tells this, you know, the things that Israel 00:10:15.019 --> 00:10:17.919 is involved in. Their land is full of silver 00:10:17.919 --> 00:10:21.029 and gold. You know, there's no end of their treasures, 00:10:21.049 --> 00:10:23.950 and the land is full of idols. They worship the 00:10:23.950 --> 00:10:27.070 work of their own hands. And, you know, and they're 00:10:27.070 --> 00:10:28.909 talking about, you know, the Philistines and 00:10:28.909 --> 00:10:32.509 other people that are all surrounding Israel. 00:10:32.590 --> 00:10:34.649 I mean, the land is just full of idols, and they 00:10:34.649 --> 00:10:36.950 had to deal with that ever since they came out 00:10:36.950 --> 00:10:39.750 of Egypt.
